Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki Portion:
She sent him to look for the man known as Jaeden Crow in order to study his Hoho. This was a lot easier said than done as the guy wasn't very stationary. But Ulv sang high praise for him in what he was. Jaeden he thought could maybe turn him around from a beginner. But that perhaps was wishing too much truthfully. He could only guess as to what to do with it Finding him had been an adventure in itself as the man was reclusive. Often said to be in one place for a day at most others saying less. Kuchiki didn't often get to do leg work like this. So it was a certainly good thing he'd not skipped leg day today. It took him a long time to narrow day the guy's position. Where would one find the lone Crow who'd flown the world of orders and groups? Well, that was interesting as he was found in a wheat field that went for miles they said. Some believed he died in that place leaving no sign of his life or anything. They said he'd left this world so long ago and as Takehiko came closer.
He saw the signs of rising and falling of the chest. Showing the signs of life for sure as his eyes glanced over the figure of the man. He dressed in common clothing and had his head covered with a piece of wheat in his mouth. He had white hair back in spikes with very dark skin. His eyes were covered by a hat though he got the sense from him. Jaeden Crow, this man held an aura that was different from others. The rising of the chest meant he was alive. Takehiko inhaled before deciding what to say. This was the guy she'd sent him too and it did seem hopeless. But maybe something could come of learning from the man after all. "Excuse me, Master Crow I'd like to implore you to teach me Hoho." He said bowing as he heard no response and looked at the man with his azure eyes. Jaeden's form didn't so much as budge for the Kuchiki as of the moment. Maybe he had died and the wind was breathing through him. "Please excuse me, I was told to find you if I truly wanted to learn."
He blinked thinking about it before bitterly sighing and sitting down with a thud. He couldn't hear a response so he just started talking out loud now. Not caring if Jaeden paid attention or not to what he said. "My name is Takehiko Kuchiki, son of Tsunashi Unabara and Kokokine Kuchiki, nephew of..." He didn't want to even utter the bastards name as he clenched his jaw. That was when it came something unexpected. Takehiko saw eyes open beneath the hat as they took him in. Gray in color with signs of inspection going on. Was it because of his uncle's name or his name? What had driven this as Jaeden's figure hadn't moved yet aside from those eyes. He didn't seem invested in anything so how was this man fast? He didn't understand it as Takehiko could only sigh exasperated by it all. He spent all this time looking for a guy with about as much motivation as a cloud.
Jaeden Crow Portion:
His slumber ruined again and this by some kid. Jaeden's eyes remained closed thinking along the lines if he ignored him maybe he'd leave. He heard something about someone sending this boy to him. Must have been Mirja, she was such a traitor ruining his sleep. Jaeden's eyes opened slowly as he heard the name and heard the pause. Deciding to open his eyes to examine the would-be student. His body wasn't bad for someone using faster techniques. He could guess why he didn't go to the person he paused on naming. Just because his uncle had to be a damn crazy man he got the kid? Was always nice being a runner up for teaching someone else's kid. Well no point trying to rest with the kid sitting there anymore. Jaeden's frame sat up abruptly as he yawned. "Look, you are his nephew. I'd say go ask him about it, but I can sense a level of bitterness that makes it unlikely. " He said softly before glancing at the boy again not bothering to get up or greet him. The kid knew his name and he knew the kid's name all that mattered.
Definitely not the wind like Mirja so something else would have to spark that kid's brain. "Fine, this is under protest but show me...about three hundred flash steps." Jaeden let his chin rest on his right hand's palm now yawning. He would get an idea of the speed and how much he could do. Techniques and stuff like that weren't so important. This kid was at a beginner's level so that was where they'd start. His eyes looked him over getting an idea that the kid was pretty weak spiritual pressure wise. "Move around while doing it too, will work on your normal speed too." Jaeden thought about it all slowly as he sighed deciding speed was the kid's attribute of choice. So rocks would have to do or maybe something a bit more useful. Wheat would work fine and plenty of it around as he softly grabbed a piece between his fingers. Before shaking his head and going to a stone. He'd not be throwing these as the boy used Hoho, that wasn't the point.
Point of all this was for the boy to get a feel for it. His body wasn't strong yet or ready for anything else really. So may as well of just started him at the marker and let him go. Jaeden didn't promise results quickly or even say they'd work. He'd have to go look for Mirja or whoever told him about Jaeden afterward. But for now, he'd just educate the kid to some extent and give him exercises. Rest was up to him to keep at them and train diligently. Though this meant his naps were going to be ruined he laid down now waiting for the boy to begin. Though it appeared as sleeping he was observing. Every detail was important here, it would determine the style of user he was. His uncle was a fast as lightning one whereas Mirja and himself took to wind. But to say that only those two types existed would be moderately wrong. Yoruichi and Soi Fong had different styles as well, though guessing between them. He and Mirja fell to the Soi Fong side of the argument while Tsubasa on the Yoruichi.

Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki Portion:
His jaw went slack almost as the male started talking. He didn't get to ask questions or go into depth about any of it. An impossible task was put before him as he didn't groan but something in his eyes lit. That wasn't a no for training, in fact, this was his first lesson. Three hundred though could his body even handle that as he began removing clothing. Hoping to lessen the weight on his body as he tried to be smart about it. Jaeden was a harsh teacher he imagined as the man seemed to drift to sleep again. So began he had to start doing these as the first flash step moved him forward. It felt hard on his body and not all that quickly. But memory reminded him this was only his first one out of 300. Takehiko didn't know how far he would get on the road upwards. But he would push because he had a goal in his sights. Not to be the fastest or strongest, but to help people. He wanted to save people and be useful to someone. Regardless of the strain, it put on him or his body to do so.
He continued doing them not adding much into them as he moved to perform each of them feeling his lungs burn. Hoho was going to require a lung capacity that was intense. He couldn't imagine how his uncle did it now. How'd he move that fast what was it that let him? Jaeden and those who took this art in must of had something insane to make them like this. Takehiko's body was drenched in sweat by the time he hit twenty of them. His mind a mess as he tried to continue forward and see some form of future in his pathway. Lung capacity was important here and he began to get that. But his body just wasn't physically in perfect condition for this. No matter how he sliced it he came up short of three hundred. His body trembled each time he went to do a step. It became harder to see the destination in front of him. Takehiko's body ached from every inch as he saw stars almost before going again falling over this time in the dirt. His body covered in it due to the sheer amount of saturation on him. He laid in the dirt panting and trying to catch his breath.
20 was it he couldn't even perform a proper step anymore. His body ached and burned everywhere and it felt like he was choking. Takehiko couldn't even do a measly fifty of these. This wasn't how it ended as he began to try and get up. Sheer willpower pushing the boy forward for this. He didn't know why but he couldn't give up. He'd die before admitting defeat here as he felt like his heart would explode. He couldn't move anymore as his body kept crumbling. ....I....can't....I must....somehow...do it...must...." He said trying to get words out. To spur himself on but it was no use. His body had come to its stop sign. Jaeden's test wasn't possible for him and this was going to be the end of the road. He'd have to learn Hoho somehow else or improve himself more. He couldn't even do fifty of the bloody things, was this his limit. Takehiko's eyes closed as he laid there wanting to just cry. Scream and yell at his helplessness and weakness.
Jaeden's test had conquered him entirely without even showing a glimmer of hope or sign of possibilities. This was all he had left in his tank at the moment and was a sign of anything but. Twenty was it and he guessed at this point he could only grit his teeth and admit failure. Slowly he got himself up as he looked around for Jaeden. His eyes were still blurry and vision hadn't really seen much but fuzz from pushing so hard. At the moment a small child could have bested him in combat. It would have taken little to no effort due to how weak he felt. Jaeden's test was truly a monster's ordeal. How'd one ever expect to learn from this guy? Was this easy for his uncle in this way? Punching the dirt in frustration Takehiko just saw there. He couldn't move anymore and knew anything he tried at this point would resemble stumbling. He was completely tapped out and had only managed twenty of the damn things.
Jaeden Crow Portion:
His gray eyes followed the movements easily as it wasn't quick. The boy's movements weren't bad for a beginner. He would have a lot of time to practice he guessed. Jaeden didn't expect three hundred of them, he had a reason for doing it though. He wanted the boy to understand something a goal had to be given as well. Three hundred was a number that Jaeden himself could perform rather effectively. But he could also step equal to that with one if he wanted and that didn't begin to address Takehiko's uncle. The boy would hit ten at his current skill Jaeden surmised though would give him some extra browny points for 20. 20 would have put that Kuchiki pride in the dirt. His eyes followed as each step got sloppier and less distance. The boy had done his first ones and had a decent speed to speak of. But as he got closer to twenty they became less that and stumbling. Before finally the child fell in the dirt and had nothing left. Jaeden waited a moment to let it sink in every single thought.
"Hm, so that's it huh that's your limit, not a bad starting line kid." Jaeden said having stood up now and gotten to his feet from his rested position. He'd been joking about the stones as he wasn't an expert on conditioning or anything. Just wanted to make himself look busy like a second stage was coming. "Listen carefully kid, all user's of Hoho have a starting line before they get going. Me, your uncles, Yoruichi Shihoin, and Soi Fong. We all start somewhere. " Jaeden crouched down in front of the kid letting the two's eyes meet now. Jaeden's gaze was not softening but held a layer of intellect and knowledge to it. Training Hoho was serious business to him and it wasn't taken lightly. Put bluntly the kid wasn't remotely close to ballpark training for Jaeden. He was at a starting line learning to walk. Trying to run before he could even walk right which was admirable. Some kids put before the fire would do that sort of stuff.
"Three hundred's the passing requirement for me to teach you my stuff. You've got an idea of what you need in that head of yours. Tell you what, go seek the woman who told you about me. She should be in a harbor village or something like that." He'd heard rumors about someone exceptional in that part of the world. Jaeden stretched his figure as he glanced to the boy now. "Listen, kid, you've just started to see the starting line. Now it's time to decide how you go about it. I'll make myself known when you are ready. Put the word out or whatever kid. It'll be interesting to see you reach that number." He said softly before Jaeden vanished with a flash. Leaving nothing but the boy in his thoughts. Letting Takehiko stew in them now. This was the end of the discussion as he left him this. Jaeden knew this was the right course of action as the child needed something. A goal that was attainable in some fashion. But also distant enough to make him struggle and learn.
