To know Solaris personally, one thing an individual would likely learn about her is her archaic ideal of heroism. Her admiration for those who willingly fight to protect others is nothing short of infinite. From birth up until adulthood, Solaris had always sought ways to be the type of person who could be of assistance to the world she lives in.

Her nature is always revolving around how she can be of assistance. As she was rescued by someone who saved her life and asked of nothing in return, Solaris had oft-made it a goal to be selfless in that way, even though she sometimes often falls short of the glory of being selfless.

She is no saint and her methods may appear unconventional to others as she is fond of working from the shadows due to the nature of her abilities. She never desires anything in return; as long as she can gaze upon the faces of smiling civilians, no reward will ever compare.

Aware that the constant wars plaguing her realm have left many cynical to the idea of true heroes, Solaris is nevertheless one who fiercely posits her ideal with enthusiasm. Of course, she shows it through her actions. The supernatural Technologist knows that inspiring quotes and words are cheap; the true way of showing that a path to liberation exists is through constantly applying one's self to consistent action.

Solaris is no superhero, she simply believes in that true, untainted nature of aiding those who cannot aid themselves. Is it a job that pays the bills? Not necessarily, but considering her family is already well-ahead financially, it is not something she has to worry about.

Defending mankind is always the priority. She rarely ever comes as hypocritical, either. She is human at heart, no matter how heroic that heart may be. She has her shortcomings. She isn't fond of admitting that, but it's there.

To reiterate, Solaris is no saint. She can be impatient, she can be overconfident, sarcastic, and definitely come across as someone who only seeks what she desires in the situation. Solaris doesn't play kiss ass and has a fiery personality that could rub someone who is trying to direct her the wrong way. Moving beyond her mindset concerning heroics, Solaris is a natural seductress. She is somewhat vain - a fact she openly admits - but she knows she is beautiful and naturally dominates the streets with that knowledge, flaunting her voluptuous body.

Garnering attention of men and the envy of women is a running gag in her everyday life. It also helps that possessing such a persuasive nature allows her to complete missions within the world that requires in-depth focus and infiltration.

Seduction isn't something she uses in a sexual context, either. Solaris uses it in the same way a person uses a weapon. If she can acquire a certain bit of information or even form a necessary work-relationship, the charms are always in full effect! Her belief is that if you're an attractive woman, and you look amazing, why be shy about it?

Hell, even if you're simplistic and don't really catch attention, be proud of yourself and walk with confidence. To her, seducing those who are shy and lack bravado is a form of entertainment she usually never passes up.

It is often always in good fun and she ensures no feelings are ever hurt. Solaris is all about boosted morale, so having fun is one of her favorite pastimes. She'll gladly invite those are willing to party and drink until morning.

Enjoying the company of her comrades is equally more enjoyable and she is not against making friends who she can tease and rib when the opportunity presents itself. She's playful, relaxed, and always fond of fostering friendly relationships. Another aspect of Solaris as a person is her ability to love unconditionally.

When her affections are in play, she can grow quite attached to that person and often wishes to be around them as much as possible. She isn't shy nor meek about the way she loves someone, either.

A straight shooter at heart, Solaris will never play a coy game of cat and mouse. If she knows what she wants, she will pursue it.

Those who earn her affection - as family - are always blessed with her loyalty and she will waste no time in helping them if they require aid. To the one person who earns her affection romantically, she wants nothing more than to make their life wonderful and share many moments with them. There is already a special person in fact.. but that is a mystery she shall not reveal to the readers and so this personality analysis is over - boop!

» History



Born as Maria Vasquez. Solaris origins began in North America. Of mixed heritage(her mother was Dominican, her father Hispanic), Maria lived what most would call a fairly bountiful life. Born in an era where technology was rapidly advancing, Maria experienced a carefree life were all she had to worry about was being a child. Her parents were definitely not shy about spoiling their beloved daughter, and they had the money to do so. Her father owned a technological business that revolved around infusing technology with reishi, thereby enhancing them to perform a task that could not be done normally.

Her mother, on the other hand, had a fairly normal career centered around cooking. She was a world-renowned chef while her father was a superhuman who could manipulate his tools and fortify them through his fingers. To say that Maria had a wonderful life would be an understatement. She was living the American Dream.

There was hardly any reason to complain. When she was no longer a child - now a teenager - she received the best forms of education that she could be given, though she rarely ever cared for her studies. During her childhood years, she had been spellbound by watching her father use his superhuman abilities to enhance his inventions. On the other hand, she was not quite sure if she possessed similar skills, so she brushed the thought from her mind.

She did, however, enroll in an academy for technology, though it was located in Japan, who also seemed to benefit from the advancement in technology over the last century. As a pastime, since she was developing into a beautiful woman, Maria decided to model and shoot photos of herself in her spare time. Over the years she spent at the academy, Maria became a center of popularity, yet her focus always seemed to be on operating technology.


There was always an urge in her heart to decipher complex systems of codes and she had a knack for hacking into computer mainframes, though initially such a talent was used primarily to play a prank on a fellow peer. Her peaceful life was not built to last. The threat of war was encroaching upon them.


Her parents had to move to Japan because North America had been bombarded by demons and taken over by Shadowfall. Or rather, they had no choice but to escape, lest they find themselves enslaved or mutilated. The thought of being unable to protect her parents had frightened Maria.

Even with such a fact in her mind, there was not much that she felt she could do. Meeting with her father, she wished to know if there was any potential for her to develop any sort of unique abilities as he possessed. He was not certain that his daughter possessed any supernatural ability. Frustrated, Maria decided to test the theory out and roamed the city, in search of supernatural threats or entities that could potentially arise. Her wish was regretfully granted.

Even though the enemies could be considered meager to your typical supernatural warrior, the threat she was faced with was difficult to someone who considered herself to lack superhuman skill. It was a group of demons who had attacked her home. They were above average in terms of spiritual pressure and Maria, for the first time, truly found herself frozen in fear.


She was injured and beaten within an inch of her life, and she was certain that death would soon be approaching. She felt her vision fading, her tether to life slowly unwinding, and when everything seemed to be lost, her amethyst eyes caught the vision of a noble warrior. He turned to her and said, “Everything will be okay, miss. As long as I'm still breathing, I won't let anything hurt you. “ Maria could hardly reply.

She had truly felt her life would end today and she would be but another meal to the cruel beasts, but this heroic spirit had defeated them all. Once they were eradicated, he placed her within his arms and quickly escorted her to a local hospital. Most warriors would’ve likely left after such an act but he stayed, he stayed to ensure that she had recovered to full health.

When she returned to full health, she offered him a rather generous amount of money, numbered in millions, and he humbly declined. She persisted and he still declined, telling her that her being alive was payment enough. He had no intention or desire for money, no desire to be glorified. In time, she realized it had been love at first sight. The way he carried himself, the kindness and virtue he extolled, was nothing less than genuine.

He did not merely save people for fame or fortune, but simply to see lives saved and smiling faces. That heroic notion… was truly beautiful. It sparked a flame within her heart to follow that path. He could not stay for long, even though she desperately wanted him to. He vowed that they would cross paths again, and Maria made him promise it. She would keep contact with him and one day… she would marry him.

It was nothing he agreed to, of course, as it was fantasy - that she intended to make reality - on her part, but the imprint he had left upon her life was indelible. From that day onward, Maria had intended to make her dream a reality, to be a hero. There were those who needed protection, those who could not readily defend themselves, and she would be that beacon of light, the same way that man had been.

As the years progressed, Maria had become attuned with her spiritual nature and the results were breathtaking. Her technological prowess had aided in the evolution of her spiritual nature and as a result, she became a world-renowned hacker and combatant. As she developed her abilities, they manifested in the form of supernatural infiltration and debilitation.

However, she was not satisfied with merely learning these skills and so she spent the next years learning other skills - from hand-to-hand combat to firearms and even the ability to craft her own firearms and weapon-based creations. Her technological prowess had truly made her a warrior to revere, adding even more to a burgeoning repertoire. As she worked from the shadows, she worked under the codename of Solaris. A new path had been forged...
