Aizen

As he exited the portal from hell, Aizen took a moment to look around. As planned, he'd ended up where he'd intended to be. China, an excellent location to begin launching his attack from. After a week or so of investigation he learned that K-world was now in control of this region of the earth, and he grew to know what capabilities they had, and of their home world. It was a clear affront to his own machinations, and for that reason he decided that they would have to go. Eventually he decided that it was time to show himself. He made his way to the K-world capital, then revealed himself. Floating directly above the city he used kido to project his voice, a simple matter for someone with his proficiency in the art.

"Your time on Earth is over. Remove yourselves, or suffer retribution."

This simple phrase projected itself for thousands of miles, seemingly welcoming all challengers. In the time he'd been on earth he'd learned all he needed to know about K-World, and felt confident in his assault. At the same time, he didn't want anything unexpected to happen, so he utilized his kido once more. With a kurohitsugi the likes of which had never been seen, he sealed off the thousands of miles that his voice had been projected to. At this point, only those who had initially heard the threat would be able to respond to it.

He'd learned that there were a few monstrously powerful individual hiding themselves away within the territory of K-World, yet he was unconcerned. Whether they intended to show themselves or not, this marked the end of K-Worlds control over this region of the Earth.

As he awaited any challenger, Aizen displayed his own power. The space around him warped, and any normal individuals who came near him were immediately taken out of commission. This was no game. On this very day, any K-World forces in China would meet immediate defeat, that he was certain of. If his calculations were correct, which they always were, any who intended to oppose him would meet a quick demise.

With a smirk on his face, Aizen stood in mid-air, enticing any who would be foolhardy enough to oppose him to launch their attacks. He made no move to begin the destruction himself, for he intended to cast all of the blame upon those who would dare oppose him.

With the challenge sent, the defenses mounted, and the attack begun, Aizen awaited the few who would be bound to oppose him. Perhaps they would be able to gather information related to him in order to oppose his rule. That information, however, would be several hundred years old, and completely irrelevant. There was a reason he launched his attack with such confidence, and that reason was simply this. There was not a single individual capable of stopping him. In fact, he held complete confidence in the fact that he would remove any defender instantly.

The Flame Of Hope

Artist: Carrotwine - Song: Dark Side Of The Road

It was nice, to meet with Ci at her house in China. Even after losing her Dantian and becoming part of the other side of the "Rivers And Lakes" as it was called, Ulv was still friends with Ci. What the two had done for each other would never be forgotten. So they were having tea. But then someone came in and told her that her time on earth was over.
"Wait? I've only just got here. Plus I...wait, that's not Ibiki" Ulv frowned, looking back to Ci before heading out. The sky was then covered in a massive Kido, and a surprising dude appeared.

"Sosuke? Well, that is a shock" Ulv commented, feeling him release his reiatsu, and so responding in kind. Ulv's reiatsu beat back Aizen's power with it's superior scale, and wrapped around the people of the city, protecting them from any negative effect. Ulv's Resolve Flame had to be specifically commanded to crush someone in order to do them harm. Otherwise, the worst it felt was a tight coat. And with that done, she hurried up to Aizen himself, standing some ten foot from with with an interested look on her face.

"Hey Sosuke. I know you were always a big person but, is this the best way to say hello?" Ulv asked him. Her appearance would be quite the blow to his pride, since there was a woman he knew absolutely nothing about, that was spiritually more powerful than he could muster at his highest extent. While talking, she used her Hearts Of Fire to mentally tap Inami and Demonica. Probably neither of them cared about K-World or Aizen, but Demonica did like a good fight....

A Theme of War

Hmm, now I wonder what might have done that…? The hooded figure thought to himself, blinking at the feeling of… something entering his mind. …Doctor? The feeling was different from normal; there was something pulsating, pounding in his head. Something… unusual.

…Rogue agent?

The black-cloaked individual moved through K-World's Laboratories, Earth Division. Relatively close by was the defense division; after all, most of what this man worked on had something to do with protecting or attacking a large organization. …Remove ourselves, or face retribution… The man thought to himself, watching the monitors as the initial response team was wiped out. …You truly want to face a war power by yourself that badly…? What kind of arrogance allows o-- At that moment, his hand gripped at his chest. His body jerked wildly, his hood falling back to reveal his matted silver hair. After a moment, the twitching stopped… and his hand reached for the pocket of his cloak.

A pair of glasses fit snugly over the bridge of his nose as he analyzed the situation. And here I am making my own plans… Not like I can just ignore this. Still, why would someone like that… attack somewhere like here? It doesn't make any sense. The Doctor cracked his neck, trying to get a bit more used to the body he was currently inhabiting. Does he not know about the world-wide conflict…? Does he see K-World as weak and without allies, and therefore a valid target? Is he going to try being aggressive at first, and then allying with us 'once he's proven how weak we are'?

The invader seemed to simply be… standing there. He protected his own territory, but he did not move forward. One of the man's hands reached for the control panel, his mind racing and looping through various possibilities. They all stemmed back to the same root; arrogance. The Doctor did not have any particular issues with confidence or arrogance, but it had to be tempered, however one could make it. Even if that meant yielding for hundreds of years, gathering more and more resources against that which you intended to defeat…

"Your orders are thus; do not attack until he has directly engaged a commanding officer. Focus primarily on evacuation." The soft voice spoke across the sealed-off area of China, the biogenetic communications system he utilized quickly and effectively relaying the message. Certainly the citizens of K-World were afraid and upset. But… at the same time, this was a part of the organization's path. They wished to recreate the world into something better, something with a true God-king. …And via the contract forged with my Father, I'm obligated to help them see it through… Though that isn't to say I have not received some benefit from it, as well. The Serpentine man thought to himself, taking his clone's body outside.

The sky was dark, the massive black box clearly displayed all around them. Do I want to assault his confidence…? Jab at him with memories of his prior failures? Try to make him doubt himself? I suppose that I could always attempt raw force, but ultimately that would be pointless. Is he willing to let anyone else influence him at all, I wonder? Hmm.. For now, I believe the best course of action would be…

Kintsugigan.

Within the Selve's eyes, two black triangles appeared. Creating an almost hourglass-shaped object, he gazed directly at the man. …Aizen Sosuke. Plenty of information available on you… an attempt to overthrow the world typically displays one's entire hand. Typically requires you to expend all of your resources.. And yet, you had intelligence enough that I couldn't help myself. I had to know. What made you think you could do it? What forces did you come up with? How did you know they would be enough? And ultimately, the most important question of all….

Why did you fail?

With his extraordinary eyes, the Doctor could clearly make out the smirk present on the man's face. …Perhaps… that last question's a bit easier to answer than I'm entirely comfortable with. One hand remained in the pocket of his robes, the Selve beginning to float up into the air. His eyes were wide open as he got closer and closer to Aizen… stopping just outside of that field he was using to keep weaker individuals away. As if he could see the energy itself, where it had reached.

"Your analysis of K-World… how extensive was it? Tell me… did you see what happened the last time this organization was…"

The Doctor's words came to a stop, along with his body. …She's shouting over me. He reflected briefly on this fact, looking at his one-time patient. …I suppose I could… no, that would likely be the incorrect action… One of his hands reached up, shrugging. I suppose for now I could simply observe. After all… with what she's able to do, I'd be willing to bet he'll have to show a decent part of his hand as well… The Selve's hand drew out of his pocket, off of the scroll he had been touching. While Aizen may have sealed off this area well… it seemed unlikely that he would have created a specific barrier to deal with the Doctor himself. That would have been the most intelligent thing; but the ways he could come across such information, or how they worked, were… limited. ..The most important question, however… and the one I need answered the soonest…

His eyes wandered back over to Ulv. She would make a perfect distraction; if Aizen were driven into a corner, perhaps it would make him show why he was so confident. And once his hand was further revealed… We can go from there… Sorry, Kokuryuteshi… I'm not going to focus primarily on your defense… but I'll not just stand by as you perish, either.

Valentine R. Carter

Artist: Rin Ginsuke - Song: Mysterious Shrine Maiden Flying Through Space

In truth, it had seemed that the Red Planet had perhaps misjudged the state of this world at first when they had sent Valentine. For a time there had been such peace, it hardly seemed as though his presence was even necessary to understand the land of his birth. But now all manner of things seemed to be happening in such a rapid succession as to make his presence wholly worthwhile. The war had been one thing, certainly, and the fallout from his battle with Inami had been troublesome. But when his little birds in China told him of a threat he had read much about, naturally he could only do one thing.

He practically ran right to Beijing.

Such a grandiose barrier as he was faced with upon arrival was, of course, something Valentine took a moment to study. He knew of kido in the abstract, but one of this caliber was certainly worth looking upon for a moment. Perhaps tragically, of course, he could not properly touch it to understand the full extent of its functionality. Still, what little he could glean was of course sent off to the Drones for full intensive study. He poked, prodded, introduced all manner of other materials in the area to it, and when he was finally content with this, he simply walked through unimpeded, continuing toward the scene that his airborne spies had shown to him.

Of course, upon arrival he found quite a scene. Metaphorically, anyway. His birds had, of course, told him of these changes well before he set foot on the scene. Kabuto Hebi and Ulv Auber, here alongside Sosuke Aizen, ready for any confrontation. In truth, he was rather glad to see miss Auber. Not so much for any particular familiarity with her, or fondness for her, but rather simply because he knew from his intelligence that she more than made up for the physical aspect of combat that he was outside. It was refreshing, though at the same time, her propensity for operating on her own terms was...concerning, if nothing else.

Still, he was here now, and he gave his usual cordial smile to all parties as he stepped foot on the scene. He waved cheerily, his eyes closed, and his silver hair blew faintly in the wind. A sight he, in the back of his mind, faintly wondered if Aizen might have some reaction to. Placing a hand in his pocket, he then addressed everyone currently assembled, his tone of voice seeming far from as serious as might be expected.

“Oho~ Sosuke Aizen, here in the flesh. Well, flesh in an abstract sense, I suppose. I suspect you are far from having any 'flesh' in the truest way. I was under the impression you had died long ago. All of the history books say as much, anyway. But, I must admit the spiritual realms do work in mysterious ways. Perhaps it's not so strange to see you here after all.”

Naturally, Valentine had already long since raised all of his defenses to the absolute maximum. He currently had no offensive ability whatsoever, but he suspected that this would change quite soon. This was more a precaution than anything else, and one he imagined would be extremely important in a few moments.

“I would introduce myself, but of course, I have read that your intellect was one quite insurmountable to most. I am sure I need not introduce myself and my origins to you.”

The smile on Valentine's face didn't change, but the attitude behind it seemed almost more malicious now than it had been before. He of course knew fully that he had no record but for the most barebones, that which came from his position in the Vanguard. He scrubbed the countless webs of information quite regularly, and knew that even now the truth of his identity had stayed firmly within the Chairmen of the Vanguard. He knew that he had no other known history, and that there was not a single bit of information on who he was other than simply his name. To addend his origins to what he expected of Aizen... Well, Mars had never thought much of these spiritual vermin bringing their discord to the real world, now had they?

Aizen

"I see no reason for you to know my name, irrelevant being. I would say that your efforts to protect those around you were valiant... Of course, I would only say that if they were."

Having uttered this simple sentence, Aizen unleashed the full force of his spiritual pressure, unveiling a new addition at the same time. The death energy that spiraled within his own spiritual energy was unleashed, and began to wreak havoc upon everything that it came into contact with. Over the course of only a few moments this death energy began to target, with pinpoint accuracy, the most vulnerable area on each and every one of the worthless humans who existed below him. With this action taken, any who had been previously protected would immediately begin to fell the full force of his power, and, within a few moments, they had all perished. As agonized screams began to ring out all around them, Aizen spoke once more.

"As if you could compete against me. You possess nothing but raw power. Power is nothing without the intelligence to wield it, and from but a single glance I can tell with a certainty that intelligence is not your strong suit. It is unwise for you to stand against me, yet if you insist, I'll show you just how inferior you are."

He paused at this point, to take a glance at the new arrivals. A disgusting looking man with white hair, and apparently, a death wish had arrived. In addition, a silver haired, younger man had traveled directly through his kurohitsugi. This man spoke to him in such a way as to evoke an emotional response. A foolish tactic. Aizen was, however, quite intrigued by the fact that this being was obviously entirely immune to any sort of spiritual interaction that might come his way. After assessing the situation for but a moment, he knew for a certainty that he was in no danger.

" I'm sorry, I don't keep track of every worthless being born on this planet... or perhaps even another.

The smirk Aizen demonstrated full of arrogance, and unmistakably mocking. Of course, he had no proof that this man came from anywhere but earth, and very little reason to believe so. Still, there was a strangeness to the way he carried himself that Aizen had yet to see on earth, and so he suspected something at least semi interesting.

"If any of you would like to keep your lives, I'll give you ten seconds to exit my field of view. If you remain, then you have willingly forfeited any right you have to your life, and I'll gladly take it. Think carefully before acting."

If they wanted to oppose them, they would be shown what true power was. Yet, Aizen came with no blood lust. In fact, he had little interest in this fight whatsoever. Where was the fun in crushing ants?

The Flame Of Hope

Artist: Carrotwine - Song: Dark Side Of The Road

"Valiant defence is what we do, Sosuke. It's our trademark. And with the Platinum Package, you also get a back massage" Ulv replied, never one to miss a quip. But then, things took an interesting quip. Him unleashing the full force of his reiatsu was not something Ulv struggled to exceed, but the addition of Death Energy was quite interesting. She had only ever seen Arianda with that, and had warned her not to use too much Death Energy while the Resolve Flame sat in her soul. Never knew what would happen to it until now though. Across the city, where Aizen's Death Energy spread, Ulv's Resolve Flame snapped and snarled at it. Not one to take that lying down, the Death Energy abandoned it's original goal before it had even begun, and the city began to sparkle with the light of mutually destroyed reiatsu. Resolve Flame burned away the Death Energy, and Death Energy smothered the light of Resolve Flame. Such a thing happening inside a body was, not really all that good. Ulv definitely felt the effects of her reiatsu being destroyed, but that was only half of the sparkling glory that was going on around them, and as he said. When it came to raw power, Ulv had him beat.

"Definitely telling Ari not to mess about with that now" Ulv muttered, looking to the new guy. Walking through a Kido was interesting, but she had Aizen to deal with still. "Yea, never was the smartest. But, I'm not the one that attacked Kokuyuteshi, fresh out of the big house. Your last attack was a massively awesome plan many many moons in the making. Did you just get bored or something?" Ulv's returned smile was not arrogant or inherently mocking, but rather just talking to a child who was chatting big.

"Ten seconds is generous. But, I'll do one better. I'll give you five to surrender and drop the barrier, or I'll live out a childhood fantasy of kicking Sosuke Aizen's ass. I really regretted being born to late to be part of the party that tore you a new asshole last time"

Cascade.

What… Is that?

The Doctor's eyes stopped short at the appearance of.. An outsider. One who had simply… Did he walk through the barrier? What is he…?

The Kintsugigan opened its eyes wide, taking in the information that it…

…What? None of what the Doctor was getting from the Kintsugigan made any sense. Where is his spiritual energy? The Doctor's mind raced, coursing thought back and forth through him. Could someone have… Does he know of the Kintsugigan? Has it been countered? As incredibly unlikely as such a thing seemed, the part of the Doctor's mind that was contemplating this scenario had to accept that it must be true. Or… He is actually a living, talking being, with nothing that I can detect giving him a presence. Such a thing was even more unlikely; but in all honesty, the Doctor would emotionally have preferred that one. …But… all things considered, it may simply be that the Kintsugigan are being fooled. In which case… why would he register as nothing…? And he was still able to pass through the barrier surrounding this place…?

The Doctor's thoughts came to a pause, and then a full stop. The only outward indication that any of this mental activity had occurred was the soft smile he maintained faltering the slightest bit. He would have to consider the strange white-haired man later. What he has, what he does, his origins… Can I afford to pursue them now? Does not seem likely; instead I must… deal with…

This… one.

The strategy to employ here I think, is fairly simple. With Ulv's presence, it will be doubly so. With the addition of this strange man… Hmm. I suppose we will have to wait and see what he is capable of. It did not seem that the white haired man was here to assist Aizen, but even so, the Doctor did not know if he could trust this Stranger.

…Unfortunate. The Doctor's body began to crumble, feeling the death energy chipping and burning away at his physical form. He was no stranger to this type of energy; but the Selve that he was inhabiting, while able to resist such a thing to a certain extent, would not be able to do so for very long. But what is more unfortunate, is… A smile crept out along his lips, watching as the civilians began to choke, began to struggle… began to die.

…That's it. Do it. Kill the civilians. Slay those without the power to resist even your presence… Those who have no will to fight.

Why did the Doctor encourage such behavior, behind his purple eyes? Even as his own physical representation was trying to resist its expiration? The purpose….

…This feeling…!

It would seem that the Doctor's time had not yet come. While the body of the Selve was no match for Aizen's uninhibited reiatsu, it was plenty more powerful than the average civilian. His flesh had turned a sickly green color and begun to sag, but he was otherwise unharmed. That said… Is this a good thing, or a bad thing…? What Ulv had to say to Aizen was… Surprisingly close to what I was thinking.

The Doctor came to a stop next to the red-haired woman, caught close to the waves of power that were rolling off between the two. Aizen's words hung in the air, Ulv's reply exhaled from her lungs. His bones shook, his entire body doing everything it could just to stay on its feet. But what mattered most right now was not the Doctor's feet. Not in the slightest. It was his head. Two parts of his head.

"…Ah. So you are a bitch."

His mind, and his mouth. No matter what form he took, or how badly he was beaten; they would always be weapons he could count on to jab at his adversaries. Was it superlative? Certainly; the Doctor had no need to go that far. But he was calling Aizen Sosuke a bitch to his face. No matter how high Aizen tried to place himself, someone as lowly as this matted white-haired man would still be willing to call him such, with flesh sagging and green.

Aizen had made his intentions known; he had actively slain the civilians who had been able to survive simply standing near his presence. What kind of 'warrior' did such a thing? What kind of 'leader'? What kind of 'man'? So if he was not a man, then he must be something lower. Barking and biting all alone… biting at Ulv. Those looking for idols... love heroes, love the brave. Brave like Ulv, her body breaking and standing against the tide. So provide the tide. And when her bloody body stands against yours, I'll stitch it back together again. I wonder... Do you have a Doctor?

"It was not intellect that ruled the Arrancar of old. It was raw force; was it not?" The Doctor asked, trying to make his point quickly. They only had ten seconds, after all. "Could you ever get a group to follow you without raw power? Or anything at all? You played your hand; the world knows who Sosuke Aizen is. And that's what will be made painfully obvious, for all eternity. After all, what kind of intellect brutally slaughters the uninvolved? Who goes out of his way to maim and slaughter those who have had nothing to do with their objective?"

The Doctor was aware he had gone over ten seconds. He was also aware that Aizen most likely did not think of those civilians as 'people'. Of course, the man could completely ignore what he was saying; but if he did that, it would be a relief.

"How many recording devices are waiting to see how you react to this damaged body and 'weak intellect' calling you what you are?"
