Shifting Madness [WW4 Event] Empty Shifting Madness [WW4 Event]

Shifting Madness [WW4 Event] 6EdIfMt

Song: Wanderlust - Word Count: N/A

[Note: These are not ordinary soliders. These are empowered nercomance'd creatures from Mana's army of the dead. So Mana herself is not present, but her influence is definitely here.]

On The Queen's Orders, Madnise City was on the list of locations that needed to be extracted at all cost. Therefore, rather than waste time calling on her own forces, Mana chose to summon familiars from her Army Of The Damned that resides within the depths of her foul, corrupted and maddening soul. There are millions of creatures which live in the essence of Mana's body that makes her an army all by herself without the influence of Shadow Fall. So even if the woman lost all that she had in this material world, the many countless wars and battles she has waged had netted her a disgusting quantity of bodies and spirits to resummon through her necromancy.

Therefore, a platoon of a hundred thousand of these soldiers started to arrive on the east, south, west and north borders of Madnise City. They were divided evenly into 25,000 soldiers each and all of them had been connected to the course of Eris's influence and The Demi-Network to otherwise pull the task of consuming the city within an emerald barrier. This was meant to otherwise prevent external forces from easily getting in as it held within it a high amount of corrosive death enery which could otherwise decay, break down and disintegrate different beings, attacks, equipment and so on.

Then, with the external affairs taking care of, another fraction of these soldiers was focused on extracting the city itself away from earth. So, they were attuning themselves to a wormhole located in the depths of Mana's Chasm Realm. This dimension possessed a cluster of Mana's maddening elements and it is where this city was meant to be stored and housed as it was crucial to an unforeseen plan the woman was cooking up. Ergo, no resources was spared in ensuring they could get this operation done and over with it as quickly as possible.

With all the other squadrons ready to attack and summon excess reinforcements if some freak of nature decided to show up, the objective was to remove the city and transport it. So, if no external influence meddled with this effort, Madnise City would begin to become consumed within the depths of this emerald fog and be warped into the depths of Mana's own pocket dimension to be saved for a later date down the road in this war being waged.

It was an irritating feeling to say the least as a racing presence approached the bottom of the globe, by the time his vehicle reached the border of Antarctica, stopping his approach began to become nigh difficult to say the least. A young man dropped out of the vehicle to the ground, a look of determination on his face as his eyes looked out on to the horizon racing at high speed to meet an impending force with one of his own. The vehicle that helped him traverse the ocean with ease, backed away, settling somewhere that he hoped would be safe. But this was the least of his worries as he has a mission and being out her in Antarctica, it was a place like home to him. The years he has been out this way for the Vandenreich, he knew what was up ahead. He has read the reports, clear as day. He would not allow it to be so easily utilized in the war, he would raise his pieces only to slam them down on to the board.

It was not difficult for the young Hohl Arquerro, to read the situation as he approached, his motion was silent but the soldiers surrounding this city was his target as he yelled out. The decibels went through the roof, rattling the ice of the area in front of him and throughout the city, but this was not his true intentions. It did let him get a lot of his frustrations off his chest, something the young heart needed in a time of war. This was where the work of a warrior began, as that sound that traveled, may very well have traveled so smoothly through the city was called upon, the very energy that filled those yells. Gave Life, life to the Echos, the army of Cero. Each of them locked on to their targets as they rose up and down from the walls and roofs of the city. Seventy-Five Echoes in total began challenging those closest to the city, manipulating the reitsu around them into bows and firing upon the soldier squads. His Echoes were not physically as strong as him but the power that they put into the dozens of arrows each of them fire, would be enough to decimate a person unguarded. It needed to be ascertained, just what was he up against here.

Twenty Five Echoes from within the city rose up in each district looking out onto what would become a battlefield, granting him full scope of the area if they are not disrupted. They too weilded reitsu around them into a bow, their shots were not as devastating nor were they small of quantity, hundreds of them would shower out in each direction of the city, testing and battering the armor of these soldiers. How much could they possibly take and how much could they avoid, if they want this city. That was name of this current game of range, and so long as the Wchos were in this shape of combat, loses of energy were minimal to the young Cero.

Then came the true one, the former beast of sound, the one man Quincy army. His pressence and body flew into the southern most squad of enemies. His intentions as he tried to leap into the fray directly was simple as he drew his zanpakutou, the signature click of draw it out was all he needed as the sound vibrated through the cold air around him blasting against all foes that stood close to him, especially if they tried to swarm him. Within those remaining moments, the young Hohl Arquero would slice twice with his blade making slices into the area but further vibrations. Those with ten feet were likely sliced into by the vibrations coming of the slices, while those further back would merely feel it press against them, if everything went according to plan.

” I am Cero Telca, I will be your opponent, may my blade be your last.” He would finish with and put his blade back in the sheath.

The minute that Cero made his presence known is the same instant that their plans had shifted. The ideal circumstance would be to have the entire city in Mana's grasp, but that was not the primary objective. All of the troops stationed here knew the true purpose of why they were here and this one man Quincy invasion should not be able to impede that effort. Therefore, many of them took to summoning thick layers of magi-armor forged by the breath of Za Koa's energy so that they may otherwise endure the assault from Cero as this was of the Queen's will and they were still attached to her essence.

From there, a group of five Brigade level PROMETHEUS came forth from the abyss of soldiers in the midst of The Queen's Damned Army and sought to otherwise start firing off an immense burst of demonic energy akin to a cero at most of the clones that Cero brought forth to the battlefield. There were 15 shots in total which rang out from these beast and it should have been enough to cover and touch almost all of the replicas that had entered into the war zone. All the while, those on the southern end of this attack did see an impediment of their operation and could not otherwise teleport this chunk of Madness City because of Cero's interference.

However, the northern, eastern and western sections of the city were still fair game. So, with the PROMETHEUS units protecting them and the Queen's own Army Of The Damned having their armor shield them from death, chunks of the city were beginning to fade away into the abyss as they were transporting them to a disclosed location. Roughly 50% of the northern, western and eastern parts of the city were being transported in this effort because of the high quality of demonic energy being transferred among the soldiers who were gathered pieced together with the home advantage Shadow Fall had with this city being one of their primary bases in Antartica.

So, even if the southern end of this assault was lost to them, the primary objective as to get as much of this damn city as they could out of harms way so that they could carry out The Queen's objective. And it is for this reason why one final Legion unit of the PROMETHEUS arrived on the scene. Together with assistance from thousands of monsters which compromised The Queen's Army of The Damned, these creatures sought to encase Cero in an emerald barrier. They were trying to otherwise prevent him from escaping by pumping as much of their Za Koa and Demonic energy as they could into this cube so that he may not be able to escape for at least one post if all went as according to plan. And, even if he broke out of it, the delay in time should be enough for them to otherwise pull back, get their resources in order and finish the job. Thus, only time would tell how effective this would be.

While Cero’s time with his Echoes was cut short as a barrage of shots were fired to dissipate them, their scouting mission was complete. He didn’t know what Mana wanted of this City, but his answer was going to be made quite clear. His enemies rushed towards him and it was obvious to sense that they were pouring their energy into a group effort. The area around him was beginning to be felt as if it was blocked off as he watched the anger flowing through him boiling. Everything around him felt like it was mechanical, there wasn’t a sign of doubt, of worry. It pissed him off thinking of the Quincy that are under attack, the people of Karakura Central, under attack. They all are doing there best to defend and recover, while she makes her moves in the shadows. His hand went to his zanpakutou as he looked around with eyes of anger. His grip on the blade tightened as he made his choices, his gambit before him.

“Come out and fight me, Mana Ashtavon!!!! Stop fucking hiding!!!” He shouted at the top of his lungs, his power flowing through those words and he was certain that this barrier wouldn’t let those words escape, and that was fine, he wanted the words to bounce off, as His Echoes formed, thirty in total, it was in this that he was going to push his limits, it was the power of the army vs. his own.

The power within him flowed true as him and all of his Echos looked at one specific spot in the barrier, towards the city. Within Cero, the gears of his Cybernetic implant began to turn its gears, he was going to take on all the strain that he could to win in this conflict, that was the only way to calm himself he believed. The Hohl Arquero pointed out his finger and began to charge a cero blast, normally this wouldn’t threaten the barrier but this was just one of the many, as each the thirty Echoes gathered power or an equal strength, the energy ready to cause them to burst. This was the power of Echo: Orchestra, in a wave of barrages the blasts fired, clashing with the barrier, then the second half fired, whether the barrier stood still or not nesscary force was needed. The city was his target, so he rushed forward, putting his everything into the fight and hopefully out racing the gathering energy to contain him again as he was aiming for a view now, above the city if unstopped.

That dark feeling in his heart didn’t stop, it fuel his anger, wanting to grow into rage, the many voices within, him were in unison, he drew out his zanpakutou, and watched carefully. What could calm this young heart, was no where in sight, so he would set this world on fire as he yelled, yelled in anger, his power flowing through his voice, resonating against the armor of the dammed, and the PROMETHEUS, he wanted to paralyze them in the sound, his yelling overflowing as he poured everything. The sound could be heard far beyond this city, and those that weren’t prepared, he would likely deafen them. The glass of this lost city was certainly shattered in this wave of noise leaving the glass as minor projectiles as well. Was this Wrong?

... Nothing Felt Right.

There was a sudden cease and desist given by The Queen herself. It was an aura that screamed throughout the vicinity and it gave instructions for all of these soldiers to otherwise pull out. Mana herself seemed to have achieved what she wanted and decided it was not in her best interest to further waste resources on this clash here. Ergo, the barrier appeared to shatter after Cero had exerted himself to such a great extent. They determined that it was not worth the effort to engage and thus many were seen retreating away from the vicinity.

Droves of these demons, monsters, and minions were seen fading into the abyss, disappearing into portals or dividing themselves across the continent. And this was because the feeling of raw demonic power pulsated throughout the whole of Antarctica. The whole of the icy landmass at this point was consumed in a blood red aura that was indicating that it was getting sealed within the depths of Shadow Fall's control. Ergo, while they may have came to a stalemate in this battle, the overall war for this chunk of Earth was far from over from them with Mana's efforts.

[Referring to this thread since it is stated Mana was extending their influence to otherwise gain control of the landmass: https://www.platinumhearts.net/t19987-city-of-shadows-quincy-bloodstorm-ww4-start-event-antarctica ]

So, Cero did otherwise remain successful in his bid to prevent all of Madness City from falling into the Demon Queen's clutches, but it was apparent there was a much bigger objective than this small recon mission to attain artifacts of the city for her own symbolic magic to come later down the pipeline.
