Shadow Fall's attack on Vastime was well underway by now, and while their blatant targets were the legionary facilities, a separate force of the Eighth Circle were sent to destroy some of the enemy's more heavy weaponry--namely, the Dreadnoughts. Shadow Fall had their eyes on these behemoths of vehicles for a while now, and they were very keen on inhibiting the Dreadnought's movements thoroughly and by all means. So, to start off with, these units were flew through the air across the countries spreading their newly developed Hydroacidic Disseminate. A fatal flaw of a country like Vastime built off the efforts of mortals and for mortals was the methods of which this nation was built. It was conventionally and primitively a nation structured with metal as its backbone. So much of this nation ran off metalworks, and that would also be a point of their downfall.

The Hydroacidic Disseminate was most potent as a fluid, easily eating away through any metal that came into its reach, but an aerosol form was more than capable of inhibiting easy transportation of any metallic substance. So by filling the atmosphere with this substance, metallic components that touched the air would progressively begin to rust, then corrode, then break down into fragments before metallic dust. If you build your society with physical matter from the earth, you'd find that the earth has a way of being self-detrimental in many ways, and the scientists of Shadow Fall took full advantage of this fact.

Meanwhile, the fluid form of the Disseminate was reserved for contact with the Dreadnoughts, and that's exactly where the members of the Eighth Circle was headed. The multiple units scoured the continent working off the information they traded for off Vastime's well-known and borderline sanctioned black market, and once these units reached the facilities and military bases housing the massive machines, they began spreading the corrosive agents all over.
