The Darkness Over New Orleans[WW4 Start Event]

Destruction and Devastation.
Across the cityscape of New Orleans, a great torrent emerged. It was as if there was a great tidal wave, rising greater and greater, surging and rising. From the outskirts of town, walking down the highway leading into the city… Each step pushing into the ground as the master of the shadowy force continued to approach. His whole body was heaving, his gaze staring down at the ground. Stepping in behind him was a great beast, like a wolf made of darkness, the size of a small building.
The Shadow Shinigami had come with an army. In lockstep behind him were a horde of Shinigami, each with their own Zanpakuto, with a single reason for being here. To overwhelm the southern coast and establish a base of operations for the Shinigami and allied forces to begin moving into America. With the research they had done, some of which had been carried out by the vanguard himself, they had determined that this would be the most advantageous place to strike. From the ocean, ships began to emerge, pressing nearer and nearer to the city limits.
The assault from the land appeared to be the bigger threat of the two. After all, the tidal wave of shadowy substance was growing super-massive in size, its controller shuddering and shaking. The great beast behind him began darting and dashing among the collected Shinigami, watching, observing.
Waiting.
Every fiber of Kuro's being was strained. Shadow was pouring and dumping from him, and his concentration took on the greater and greater burden of that much energy. This… This… Determination alone kept his feet trudging along, the bulky armor he wore clanking and thudding against the ground with each step. At last, he stopped at the foot of what was once State Route 610, cutting straight through the city. Both hands gripped out, the tidal wave shaking and quivering behind his body.
Kuro's entire body then proceeded to shudder forwards, lunging out as the massive wave exploded out from his body. The raining torrent soared over his men, pushing itself much further onwards as it moved into the city skyline. Individually, the different parts of the attack were not that overwhelming, or even that dangerous.
However, all of the bombs that Kuro's Stealth Squad had placed strategically around those buildings would be a lot more noticeable.
The spiritual defenses around the city were crumbling as explosions went off through the dim evening light. The defenses held for a moment, pushing back the Shadow Shinigami's wave of destruction. But they could not hold; and at last, they crumpled from the effort. Parts and shards of the attack were stopped, but the most important part remained, crashing into the buildings of the skyline.
The domino effect was rapid and unforgiving. Massive explosions rent through the air, the shadowy wave absorbing a good amount of the eardrum-splitting decibels from damaging the approaching forces.
Tumultuous explosion after explosion rent the sky as buildings toppled, taking some with them, and every once in a while, a building being blown away from the impact due to yet more explosives being triggered. Evacuation proceedings were already underway inside of the city, increasing the mounting chaos as the shadowy attack crushed into whoever remained on the ground, the debris causing an overall negative effect on the populace of New Orleans.
…The nature of war… The Shinigami was trying to straighten himself, the great beast that stayed with him nudging against his shoulder with its big head. "Thank… you… Kuroi no Inu…" He told the wolf, focusing hard as his Shikokai began to shift and change, the helmet forming around his eyes, devoid of light. Screams and explosions, the sound of growing flames, chaos and suffering.
Each of them went into the Shadow Shinigami's ears as he stood there, taking them in, accepting them. He was not personally responsible for this set of affairs… but he took responsibility for leading them. That's right… what we do… we maim, we harm, we kill. We avenge… and we ascertain. We are the Shinigami. We are the forces that go against chaos that prevents people from living in peace. We fight the Demons, the soulless Hollows, and those who have surrendered away their souls.
With those thoughts in his heart, the Knight of the Abyss leaped forward, leading in the invading force directly into the devastation, searching out those who could endure it, who would try to stop the destruction Kuro had planned for this place…
Crashing Darkness.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Resources were required to conduct a good search for his sister. So, for now, it seemed he would take work where he could find it. Even if it meant crossing swords against former colleagues. Tsubasa's eyes looked at the shadow wave Kuro had sent out observing it. He released a massive torrent of electricity slamming into the attack as he straightened himself up. His body crackled with energy as he sighed softly. This wasn't exactly how he planned for things to go out. But Mana offered him a nice pay through her friendly channels. Did he agree with her politics or the state of things? What happened next if someone blinked they would have missed. Tsubasa's form flickered past the men who were with Kuro. Slowly they began falling to the ground as he'd seemed to use that speed. Tsubasa was known for godlike speed and quickness. His crimson orbs slowly focused in on Kuro as he rested his zanpakuto on his shoulder. His presence alone was something to shock those who'd come in. Tsubasa had arrived here quickly and suppressed his spiritual pressure. Till the moment he unleashed the torrent anyways. War had an element he doubted Kuro knew of. Mercenaries and sometimes the past bites us. When Ibiki banished Tsubasa this possibility became more possible. But he wouldn't be childish and blame her as his reason for being here was simple. Mana hired him with enough resources to locate his sister. The Yuudeshi, Gotei, and most of those who called themselves justice figures. Offered no such bargain or deal for him. So this was how he went about it. Though upon closer inspection he'd not killed them. Leaving them with light injuries in his movements as he glanced at Kuro. Deciding to let them recognize who they would be fighting. Tsubasa sighed as he could see their expressions asked a very simple question. Why did he go to these lengths to further himself from the Gotei? Tsubasa rubbed a hand through his hair and decided to make his point very clear. His reiatsu had lost some of its blusters and this simply was a matter of resources.
"Before you ask, I was hired to stop you in this location. Mana sent me enough to locate my sister. When I was a boy I thought for sure I'd killed her. After finding out she was alive, I looked for work. Gotei didn't offer jobs nor did the other factions or groups. Mana came calling though and now I get to find my sister after this. " He said calmly as his gaze held a determination to it. Tsubasa's mind was no longer about the Gotei or the organizations. He didn't give a damn about them. Shadow's Fall could lose the war for all he cared. His sister was the most important thing in this world. He would find her regardless of what came about. This place could damn him and condemn him for all he cared. Honor hadn't saved his sister or showed him a way to her. This world was a place where resources provided help. His sister was no different from him, had she encountered this situation. She'd of made this choice a long time ago.
Tsubasa held loyalty to those around him and even still. The only reason he didn't kill a single man of the group he hit. The discharge wasn't enough to be fatal either. He kept the voltage in a stunning range. Tsubasa's heart did find some conflict in this, but Tsubaki deserved so much more. If his name need be dragged through the mud further so be it. He'd given up everything else already long ago. Why should he care about this world or people in anymore? It was about time for him to come to stand here. Tsubasa cracked his neck as he prepared himself to fight. "I'll give you one chance, withdraw or send your men back Kuro. I can't promise their safety should they proceed." He said softly as Tsubasa made it clear. Some guilty existed here since he did give Kuro his scar. Tsubasa had been in a bad place then. Destroying the home and leaving the Gotei forever. But now things were clear and his objective was plain to see. He needed to find and locate Tsubaki Unabara the long lost sister.
The treasure that they thought long dead and extinguished from this world. They would need to find her. Pest and Tsunashi would have made the same choice without batting an eye. Tsunashi though hadn't been like Pest and Tsubasa had. Tsubaki had been the world for those boys. She represented the light and Tsubasa accidentally killing her. Left a gaping hole where that light once resided. But nothing about him showed uncertainty, Tsubasa's mind was clear. There was one way Kuro could get him to leave. That was to offer him greater resources than the Royal Treasury that Mana offered. The choice was up to Kuro but this wasn't a man who'd simply let them pass. Tsubasa's body crackled further as he got ready to fight now. Tsubasa's method of combat had evolved into something otherworldly now. He'd be showing his speed to the man Kuro before him. This would come about without fail for him. Kuro was facing Tsubasa now in a confrontation. This had nothing to do with Gotei or Shadow's Fall to him. Only with finding Tsubaki and Kuro was an obstacle in his way.
