Eternally Yours

Claire was quite pleased with the way Catherine was reacting to her subtle manipulation. She had known from the onset that the other woman had no physical interest in her, and so she had decided to change that. Perhaps it could be considered cruel, to fiddle with the very core of a person's beliefs, but that didn't concern her much. Claire did basically whatever she pleased. That wasn't to say that she was evil though, no, on the whole she was a force for good. She could be deceitful at times, even outright diabolical, but that wasn't because she had evil intentions. She simply found that, for the most part, the ends did indeed justify the means. There was also the fact that she enjoyed toying with people whenever she got the chance, to see just how much she could alter them from their original state. This quality was one of the main points against her when it came to being truly benevolent. Still, her efforts generally led to progress.

She thought of this while she made her way back down the long hallway, once more entering her own chambers. She had some preparation to do herself if she were to go out and meet her people. She would obviously wear the normal attire she wore when in this form, but the accoutrements had yet to be decided. The main body of her outfit was a deep, royal purple, and in several places large, pristine rubies were embedded into the material. Normally she would wear the more plain additions. Her gloves would be simple cloth, her arm braces sleek metal, but today was different. No, today she would appear every bit the Queen she was. She wore the ruby encrusted outfit, and all of the ruby encrusted additions she'd had prepared. Her choker held the largest ruby, which rested just in front of her face, while the others circled her neck equidistantly. Rubies were set into her gloves and arm braces as well, although they were slightly smaller. The real change, however, was in the boots. Generally she wore platform shoes, which were rather plain. Today she swapped them out for a different pair. They looked quite similar, however this new pair of boots was also ruby encrusted, and instead of the platform soul that usually adorned her footwear, these had remarkably high heels. She was still showing off quite a bit of skin, and the outfit only added to her natural allure.

While she was getting all of this put together, she once more thought of Catherine, and how she was toying with her. It couldn't be said that she wasn't doing what she thought was best for both Catherine, and the Sueki as a whole. She wanted her new entourage to be very closely knit, and this was a very simple way of doing that. It required much less effort and time than if she were to go about it in a different way using her emotional manipulation, and it was exponentially quicker than if she hadn't relied on her power at all. In the end, she did have a reason for everything that she did. That didn't mean that she couldn't enjoy it, however.

Having finally properly prepared herself, Claire left her bedroom and made her way to the front entrance. In a matter of moments she reached her destination. Today was certainly going to be an interesting one. She very much looked forward to meeting some of the subjects who hadn't had the chance to lay eyes on her. This whole setup, however, was for a larger end goal. She would visit the rural areas and show them her power directly, ensuring their loyalty. Then she would commence her feast in Bucharest, where she would subject all of her subjects to her own emotional control. It wouldn't be too hard for her to accomplish. Her plan was actually quite simple. She'd rile the crowd up to feed off of their own emotional energy, then use it against them. All of this, to ensure the stability and security of her own realm. Bringing Catherine along was just an added benefit, one that she was sure to take advantage of. She'd drive the younger woman mad before the day was out. Not literally though...
