"What do you mean he's not here?"
"I'm sorry, sir. He's not here at the moment."
"Yes, we've already established that." Suigyoku was about to drive his foot up the ass of this Shinigami. His left arm hung from a sling, bandaged from shoulder to finger tip, and looked reminiscent of a mummy's arm. Over 1,400 years of the Gotei's existence, and bandages were still needed for most injuries. His was a costly one: almost every bone was fractured, several tendons either torn or split, and he was likely looking at several days to weeks of healing, depending on some factors: if he doesn't use his useless arm to beat the shit out of idiots. "I understand he's not here, but where?" Though he may be in a medicinal brace, he was not beyond using it as a weapon. The second division Shinigami typed some key strokes into her data pad, and glanced down a list. How she ever became a healer, it was not based on her being bright.
"Izumo's currently stationed on Earth. Would you like-"
"No, it's fine." He left as quickly as possible out of that office. He had originally come to the front after his recovery to see if Izumo was there. The man joined the healer department of the second division when they graduated, but it had been a few days since last seeing each other. Maybe he would have had some pointers for Suigyoku on how to pass the time, but unfortunately, no luck. Being on Earth makes everything a little more difficult that way. Suigyoku sighed; he felt defeated, and wished he had done better.
"Now that I'm out, might as well go home..." His brisk walk came to a halt when a thought occurred to him. "Which way is home?" He was lost in Seireitei. Being in a bed recovering did not fix his lack of direction. Two hours and a dozen strangers giving directions later, he went through the east gate, and made his way toward the 13th district of Eastern Rukongai: his home. His home also happened to be where his blacksmith shop lay. By noon, twisting the key in the lock, he opened the store front.
"Hmm...no mail." Disappointed, he threw open the windows and let the light in. Much nicer to have daylight come in. The mailbox might have been empty, likely collecting dust bunnies by now, but his shop was still neat and collected. Various different products lined the shelves, and an inventory log sheet lay on the front counter. Everything had been made by him, and he drew a sense of pride from it for having created something for himself. A year in Rukongai and his shop was known by most of the locals. Most of the customers came from the further districts, however, as he was the only one nearby that did business with them. Quite a few people from the nicer portions of Rukongai didn't like anyone past the 15th district. Regardless of where they were from, anything and everything helped, especially if it helped those who didn't have anything otherwise. Sometimes he wished he could do more.
"Annnnnnnnd open!" Flipping the store sign from "closed" to "open", he went toward the back to heat up some coals for tea. The back was an open area, and his smithy, well ventilated and with a great view of the river. He might be down one arm, but he sure wasn't useless. He'd find something to do.

It was a wonderful day at the Rukongai as Yoriko jumped across various buildings waving her hand towards the souls of both young and old watching as many were doing their daily routines of shopping, patrolling, or spending time with family. It was a great feeling for the girl
Beautiful skies with a cool breeze. Man this day couldn't get any better. Then the young genin stopped as her eyes took notice of a very particular shop with a sign that read "open" it had to be a blacksmithing shop..right? After all she's never seen one with such a breath-taking view of a flowing riverbank with ventilation normally it'd be filled to the brim with weapons of various types such as swords, daggers, and shields.
Then a thought came across the girl's mind as she placed a finger on her chin perhaps she could ask for a special weapon to be made for her? After all she is focusing on her hakuda and what better arsenal of choice then a fist-weapon weapons to increase her punching power?
With a smile the young genin jumped off the roof of a nearby building and landed on the ground softly approaching the blacksmithing shop with a keen interest as to what the owner must look like..maybe an old guy with a beard and bulging muscles? Who knows but she was about to find out. Hellooo, is anybody home~ The young shinobi uttered with a playful tone as she leaned against the wall with her feet tapping against the floor waiting for someone to greet her.

CRASH. The inside of the shop shook with a furious vibration. The windows hummed for a split second as metal clanked and jumped across the shelves all around. Fortunately, everything was held down by various hooks, string looped through groves, or were simply too heavy to move. A pile of iron ingots at one wall barely moved an inch.
"Be there in a sec!" The young genin would hear this call from the back. As spriteful as he thought he was, the strain in his voice could be heard, like a rubber band pulled too tight. Before the young lady came into the shop, Suigyoku had brought the water to a simmer in a pot over fresh coals. Everything was going well...until he noticed a slight creek from the metal, material shelf. When everything is going well, your first thought when hearing something shouldn't be 'It's not suppose to make that noise', or any noise at all.
Thus the shelf decided it was going to fall forward on top of Suigyoku. He was able to stand and push against one of the bar to hold it in place, but not before a box of slag flew forward and landed directly between his legs. It was at this time she had the crash, and his response. Now with a shelf in front of him, slag underneath him, and a pot of water over coals, Suigyoku hoped this wouldn't get worse. Thankfully there wasn't much on the shelf, as he pushed against it. Once against the wall, he gently dragged the box of slag with his foot toward the front. With it rested against the metal, it held in place.
"Shit, that is the last time I buy from him." He made weapons and armor more durable than this! He cursed when he saw the leg had buckled under the weight. With the box in place, it'd hold for now. The pot began to whistle as mist spewed from its spout. With a wrap, he grabbed the pot, a woven cloth mat, and headed to the store front. He stepped through and set the pot on the counter under the mat. At first glance, he looked like a Shinigami, the uniform still on, but he didn't realize his face had dabs of soot across it, along with his hands and uniform. Well...it was a blacksmith shop.
"Sorry for the wait. Would ya like some tea? Just warmed a pot." If he couldn't get a sell, he could at least treat his customers well.

"Woah..uh are you okay back there? Yoriko's body shook as she felt the immediate vibrations flow throughout the shop as small items began to shake back and forth for a brief second. Thankfully for her everything remained stationary and didn't fall otherwise only to get reply from someone in the back of the shop, it sounded deep and scratchy as if he didn't get a sip of water in days.
The girl smiled as she took a gander at the man's face and..he was actually quite handsome despite the soot and various other gunk from whatever he was doing adorn his unruly mess of blond hair. He looks tired and worn but still kept a positive attitude..it must be hard being a blacksmith. Working in a hot enviorment for hours on end just to craft the finest tools for others to use whether agricultural or for combat purposes. Next she glanced onto his attire, keeping with the traditional shinigami colors of black and white with a few noticeable differences, for one he was wearing another outfit ontop and his face and hands were covered in what appeared to be a black substance.
"Some tea would be delightful, thank you." She said with a smile before adjusting her clothing only to raise an eyebrow curiously to ask a question.[color:4ff6=00008B]"I've never seen you around these parts..are you a new soul?

"Coming right up." He gave a quick smile, genuine from cheek to cheek, but when he looked around the counter, his face contorted out of frustration. "Well, it would help if I had cups." He pulled out a few drawers before finding exactly what he needed. "Ah ha!" Then he remembered that maybe he should get the tea too, since it was unfortunately not on the counter. A minute later of pulling out more drawers supplied two cups, two tea infusers, and a ceramic pot with a pressurized lid. He popped the latch on its side, removed the lid, and the smell of green tea leaves wafted to their senses.
"I've never seen you around these parts...are you a new soul?"
"Hmm?" His attention broke away only slightly from scooping the tea into the infusers. He gave the act an almost delicate amount of action as he filled them, closed, and dropped them into their respective cups, allowing the metal hooks to drap off the sides. The pause gave him time to think about her question. "Ya could say that. I've been in the Ruk for a while, but didn't open this little neck of the woods until...about a year and a half ago." He poured the hot water into the cups as he spoke, and gave it an almost cermonial approach with the way he handled it, his posture positioned just so. He loved drinking tea, just as much as drinking itself. And all with one hand. His left arm was still in the cast, after all.
"Just recently graduated from the Academy," he continued and put down the pot back onto the mat. With his only free hand, he rumaged through his top, and pulled a hip flask out. "So I'll be splitting time between here and the Gotei. Whiskey?" He offered, held the flask up before popping the lid off, and poured some of the amber liquid into the cup closest to him. If she affirmed the question, he'd pour some for her. Otherwise, he'd just close the lid, place it off to the side, and hand her cup to her delicately.
"What can I do for ya today?" he asked after he gave her the cup, took his own cup, and sipped deliberatly. Too many burned tongues taught him to not drink it too quickly. The other side of the coin is...well, this is a shop.

She watched as the man poured the scalding water into the cups, with his right arm as apparently the left was in a cast, maybe it was caused by an accident while he was forging? Regardless the atmosphere made the girl feel at home as not only his position but the cups and tea pot itself felt almost like a ceremony which did excite her a little.
"That's interesting, what division are you in?. She asked only to see a large bottle held in his hand lifting the top off as a beautiful amber liquid flowed out before being offered one. "Oh no thanks. I don't drink." She declined the offer besides it would upset Henrex greatly..and honestly even if she did her body would've probably be intoxicated with a single sip.
"I was wondering if you could forge me some weapons? Specifically a fistweapon or Chakram blades since i'm in the Stealth Division and what not." She asked before taking her cup and exhaling softly to cool the tea from burning her tongue before putting it to her lips sipping it slowly.

"Fourth: Realm Enforcement. At the moment, I'm...on leave, until this heals." He gestured to the cast before taking another sip of the drink, but would not give eye-contact in the moment as memories came to him. The circumstances for the cast weren't entirely a pleasant thought to him. Being nearly killed in general doesn't sit well with anybody, and it had only been three days since the battle. Suigyoku was targeted for a reason, but for why? It was anyone's guess, and he wished he knew an answer to that question.
"I was wondering if you could forge me some weapons? Specifically a fistweapon or Chakram blades since I'm in the Stealth Division and what not." Ah, that Division. He smirked as he took another gulp of the spiked tea, but composed himself shortly afterward when he lowered the cup. The memory that played in his mind was the one where he first met a Fifth Division member, one of the Onmitsukido. It seemed a little funny now, when he looked back on it, because he and the others were attacked by members of that division, and subsequently, he took out the member in a single blow. It was not the guy's best day. However, he reminded himself that not all of the Fifth Division were as bad off. During his Academy training, he took part in a sparring match with a seated officer, who was an Onmitsukido. Least to say, Suigyoku was the one whose ass was on the ground that day.
Additionally, she's a customer. Best not be rude.
"Are ya looking for blunt or bladed? You sound unsure," he pointed out, and proceeded to open another drawer. He produced a note pad and pen, and plopped them lightly on the wood counter. He had a feeling this was going to turn into a custom job, so time to take notes. "If ya wanted brass knuckles, I have some on the shelf over there, but I take it that might not be up your alley. I do have shuriken as well in the corner over there, to give ya options." He pointed to each area in turn, but when he grabbed the pen, he started to write on the pad. Three columns: Blunt, Bladed, and "Both?" with a question mark. He scribbled the brass knuckles and shuriken in their respective columns underneath the headers. As a final note before continuing, he wrote down chakrams under the Bladed column.
"Chakrams would be a custom job. A lot of different variations, and not all fit everybody. I'd have ya give me a weight ya'd want them to be, and I'd try to stick to it. If ya don't know, I have weights in the back we can test around with." When he talked, he tended to gesture a bit, but unlike before when he responded to her last question and avoided eye contact, this time he gave her his full attention. He stopped only long enough to drink another gulp of his tea, and he was thankful he had spiked it. The effects were relaxing his already jarred nerves from earlier. It's not a good thing to feel tense all the time in the back of your mind. "If ya want something else, we can bounce off ideas. Over here, I have a column that says 'both.' I have had customers want both blunt and bladed, like spiked gloves, if that's a route ya're interested in." It suddenly occurred to him that they haven't exchanged names. Here he was, going straight to business, and getting ahead of himself.
"My apologizes. I didn't introduce myself. I'm Suigyoku, owner of this smithy, the Iron Maiden." He bowed in greeting, and on the inside, he felt kinda silly for having skipped such an important part of this. He knew when he had left the medical division that things would be strange for a good minute, but this bothered him. He wasn't rude, he hoped.

Oh. My mistake i'm looking for bladed. She reassured herself as her eyes wandered towards the drawer and at the pen and paper the shinigami placed onto the counter until turning to see a shruiken as well as brass knuckles next to her. She inspected the shuriken carefully before turning back to face the man as he asked how heavy or light she'd like her custom Chakramswhile quickly taking a sip of her tea
"Could you possibly craft one that's around fifthteen pounds?" She asked, placing the shuriken back on the counter before hearing him introduce himself to which smiled.
"My It's nice to meet you Suigyoku. My name's Yoriko. she bowed in response.
