I. Basic Information
» Name: Sosuke Aizen
» Alias: Aizen-Sama, Josh Grobin
» Age: 1000
» Gender: Male
» Association: Unknown
» Appearance Written: Aizen stands at a fairly tall six foot one, with broad shoulders and a rather imposing presence. At this point in time he wears his dark brown hair long, reaching almost to the middle of his back, although he still has the tell tale strand that streaks across his face. He has a somewhat slender build, but is still fairly muscular. His face is sharp and angular, and his nose follows suit. His eyes are almond shaped, and naturally brown, although depending on his current emission of power they may change color, and his eyebrows are thin and angular.
II. Personality
Aizen is likely one of the most intelligent and arrogant people you could ever meet. He is deceptive and manipulative, always plotting his next move. He stays calm in the face of challenge and adversity, and is quick to retort when provoked verbally. His gaze is set firmly upon his goal, and he will not rest until he's achieved it.
Arrogant- Aizen has always been astonishingly arrogant. He sees himself a far greater being than a mere Shinigami, mainly due to his unique nature as the ascendant. He sees within himself a potential that rivals the gods, but truth be told, he's still yet to fully harness it to this day. What he does know is that his power continues to grow even now, at a rate that an ordinary shinigami would balk at. This feeds into the assumption that he is intended to rise to the top, making his arrogance all the worse.
Calm- One of the more pervasive features of Aizen's personality is his apparently unyielding calmness. Even in extreme situations Aizen is able to keep his cool, to an unnatural extent. A very few times he has let this mask slip, but these occasions are few and far between, and these days could be considered all but nonexistent. One of the main benefits of this display of serenity is the effect it has on others. Even if Aizen is upset he will maintain this indifferent attitude so as to further throw his opponents off-kilter. It has proven to be an incredible advantage throughout his life. He is very competent when it comes to controlling himself in the face of adversity, and because of this he is able to maintain a mild attitude.
Driven- Many overlook this fact when taking Aizen's power into consideration, and you could only call it a mistake. There are a few things that come together to produce this. First, Aizen is supremely arrogant. He pushes himself harder than most because of this fact, and considers failure a black mark on his record. Secondly, although it may not be common knowledge at this point, Aizen does indeed have a goal he believes is worthy of fighting for. He doesn't do what he does simply because he is bored, or on a whim, but because he believes there needs to be change, and that he is literally the only one who can bring it about. With that in mind he's dedicated himself to one goal for over half of his life now, and won't think of resting until he's accomplished what he's set out to.
Manipulative- Never one to shy away from the devious, Aizen is truly one of the most manipulative beings alive. This statement needs no qualifiers. In fact, while you could perhaps find his equal in manipulation, it seems exceptionally unlikely that any could be found who are more manipulative than Aizen. He is capable of contriving of spectacular plots involving many actors, keep them all straight in his head, and send them all off in the right direction without a hitch.
Unparalleled Intellect- Aizen has shown his ability to plan out scenarios down to the tiniest detail, taking into account the personal decisions and convictions of those around him, even over an extended period of time. With an ability like this, it's hard to argue that he isn't operating on a exponentially higher level than average. Perhaps there are others able to match him, such as Urahara, but at this point in time Urahara has been idle for many years, and Aizen has been constantly planning his next move. It would be safe to say that Aizen has no true rival at this point. At least not one he's come across.
III. History
When Aizen was conceived he was already drastically different to other Shinigami. You could call it a mutation, you could call it an evolution, you could even call it the apotheosis of the Shinigami. Irrespective of terminology, Aizen is markedly different to the common conception of what a Shinigami "should" be. The most noticeable and drastic of these differences is his naturally abundant spiritual energy, and his accelerated and increased ability to grow and adapt.
He was born to two unassuming Shinigami who have little to no relevance to his life as a whole. They did their jobs well enough, that's the most he is likely to say of his parents. During his childhood Aizen's life was not particularly eventful. He passed his days in soul society, as any normal plus soul or shinigami would. He was aware that he was unlike those around him from the age of a few years old, and this led to fuel his arrogance as he aged.
Upon entering the academy Aizen realized just how superior he was to the students around him. Of course he'd always known he was a grand step above his peers, but when he analyzed the abilities of the instructors he realized that even they would pale in comparison to his full might. At the same time he began to conduct his research on the history of the Soul Society, and pondered the implications of many of the Shinigami's previous actions. This is when he began to suspect there was something off about the way Soul Society was run. During this time period he made sure to keep a low profile. His natural ability would of course have propelled him through the academy and ranks of the Shinigami unprecedentedly quickly, but he had no intention of allowing himself to be the center of attention. He surreptitiously made his way through the academy and into the rankings, never ousting himself, and never giving anyone the impression that he was anything but slightly above average for a very long time.
Around one hundred and fifty years before Ichigo and his friends came to soul society Aizen transferred over to the fifth division. At this time he was already scheming up a way to create his hogyoku, well before Urahara began to work on his own version. In this endeavor he sacrificed hundreds of shinigami and rukongai citizens alike. Soon after these hidden experiments he was promoted to lieutenant of the fifth division.
Aizen continued to experiment on the inhabitants of soul society throughout his time there, creating the first Hogyoku and eventually causing the hollowfication of Shinji and the other vizard. Urahara arrived in time to save their lives, but when he failed to reverse the effects of the Hogyoku he was charged with the crimes, and subsequently exiled from soul society. He and the vizard then headed to earth, and remained there. Shortly after Shinji and Urahara's departure from the Gotei Aizen was promoted to the position of Captain, where he remained until he revealed his true intentions.
After framing Urahara he continued to experiment with the hogyoku, creating the arrancar, and subjugating them to his will. Around this time he also began to uncover the many secrets within the Gotei's dark past, and discovered that there were other governing forces of the universe through his studies and research. He became completely disillusioned with the way things were run currently, and felt there was need for change. The "natural" balance of souls that was being kept in place by so many forces was, in his opinion, a detriment to those who could rise so much higher than the average being. His theory was that there was a limited amount of energy that every being within the realms could possess. Constantly recycling all of these beings back into existence instead of letting them remain as energy for a time meant that it was a much greater task than it could be to gain power. If he could throw that balance at least somewhat out of whack things would be more interesting. There was also the fact that he'd discovered what the Soul King was, and couldn't stand being ruled over by that thing.
Aizen began to work with Gin and Tosen, plotting an assault on soul society soon after he had these thoughts. He kept his operations in the shadows for many years, but eventually he decided the time was right to set his plans in motion. He revealed himself to the Gotei, fighting against Ichigo and several captains, shortly after he had subjugated the hogyoku. He realized very quickly after taking full control over the hogyoku that it couldn't actually give him what he was searching for. It could put him well on his way towards his ultimate goal, but it wouldn't be enough to seat himself firmly upon the throne at the top of the world. Inklings of a new plan began to form themselves. Aizen was successful in defeating Ichigo and company, but soon afterwards his supposed subordinate Gin launched his betrayal, transporting Aizen directly into the clutches of the 0 division. Even though he fought to the end, the combined power of the 0 division, Ichigo, Gin, and a handful of others was too much for him to take on directly.
Is that actually the case though, or did Aizen have something even more devious up his sleeve all along? He caused a great deal of damage to the structure of the Gotei, and at the same time accomplished one of his own, more personal goals. He made his way to hell. He could have waited until he died naturally, or accelerated the process in other ways, but in those cases there would be no guarantee that he would reach the same outcome, as it would have been entirely possible for him to simply reenter the soul cycle had he not directly combated the Shinigami and been forcefully sent to his own personal prison in the depths of hell. Normally hell is the last place anyone would ever want to go, and while Aizen did initially have his reservations regarding this plan, in the end he came to the conclusion that the risk was worth the potential reward.
It is said that in his final battle the hogyoku that Aizen possessed was destroyed. While this may be true, the fact remains that it had a permanent effect on him. Near the end of his natural life the hogyoku began to fuse with his soul. In the long term this meant that when he was killed his soul remained intact within hell. The second effect was that his reiatsu reserves were vastly increased, and altered in a way. Although the amount of energy he currently possessed didn't really increase, the upper limits of the amount of energy he could store did.
In hell Aizen plotted to gain even greater power, the whole while utilizing every bit of his massive reiatsu to weaken extraordinarily resistant bindings. During this time his power continued to increase, partially as a result of this expenditure but also because of his continuous meditative training. When, after four hundred years, he was finally able to break free of his confinement in one final massive explosion, he stood from his chair, brushed himself off, and made his way into the belly of hell.
IV. Racial Techniques/Abilities/Skills
Zanjutsu: Aizen is extremely proficient in Zanjutsu, as evidenced by his ability to wipe the floor with the captains of four hundred years ago. He has always been naturally skilled, and possessed a deep understanding of swordplay shortly after starting to train in it. With a bit of practice he was able to raise the levels of his ability far beyond what was common four hundred years ago, ascending into something completely different. In the present day his skills are perhaps not so ridiculously far above the competition, but he's still an exceptional swordsman with a quick and agile blade, and not one to fool with. He hasn't come up with any specialized techniques, simply because he deems them unnecessary. His swordplay relies on a complete mastery of the basics, to the smallest degree, and because of this, even when faced with opponents who have an off-putting style or unique trick, he finds himself quite comfortable matching blades with them. This comes down to the fact that there are no gimmicks hidden within his swordplay, it's all raw skill, and when others display their "unique tricks" he is almost always able to tell very quickly exactly what is going on and laughs at his opponents stupidity. In his eyes if they'd focused all of their efforts on improving the simple skills that any swordsman should possess they would be far more suited to be his combatant. This may also have something to do with his advanced mental capacity, but it would be a lie to say that his training with the blade plays no part in it. While all of this is true, these days Aizen generally prefers to keep his distance, as kido is his most dangerous form of attack. However, if push comes to shove, he's happy to draw his blade. When he does so it is in the best interest of most to guard themselves well, as his tremendous speed and accuracy with the blade mean that even most experts are in for a bad time. He is also incredibly well connected to his zanpakuto, meaning they share one energy source
Hoho: Aizen has always been an exceptionally quick shinigami, something he's shown off several times in high profile fights. Four hundred years ago he was easily able to keep up with even the fastest captains, with perhaps only Yoruichi being known as faster. This hasn't really changed, as Aizen is naturally fast, although these days with the exponential increase in abilities there has been over the past four hundred years his speed is not so incredibly overwhelming. He has been able to increase it a considerable amount, but some individuals have pushed their abilities so far past what was though possible all of those years ago that his own speed is currently not one of the top contenders. Of course, to the average person, or even someone considerably above average, he would still out-speed them by a sickening amount, as he has an exceptional level of control over his hoho, and his technique is almost without flaw. The reason for this is that Aizen has focused himself on the basics in every martial discipline. He does not rely on any subversive techniques or misdirection beyond his Kanzen Saimin, and that he hardly ever uses these days. He has studied hoho down to the most minute detail, and because of this he has a deep understanding of the technique. Another effect of having inspected the technique so closely is that Aizen's Shunpo has two varieties. The first can be described as getting the maximum amount of speed for a minimal effort, the second can be described as a perfectly blended ratio of power and technique. The first is much simpler and shouldn't require much explanation, but the second is more complicated. Even when dealing with most of the opponents who are quicker than he is, Aizen wouldn't feel much concern, as there are only a few who could eke an actual combat advantage out of their own speed. When push comes to shove he can generally move himself out of the path of danger.
Kido: Aizen is likely one of the most formidable kido users to have ever lived. Due to his vast reserve of reiatsu, and his incredibly in depth knowledge of the art as a whole, which he's developed over his entire life, Aizen is able to cast the most difficult of kido with very little to no difficulty. In fact, due to his understanding of the nature of kido, he is able to amplify lesser ranked kido by funneling more reiatsu into them much more efficiently than most anyone else, and is able to cast all kido with no incantation, even discovering a way to cast them at something very close to full power. In addition to this he frequently alters existing kido in order to better fit his current situation, adding additional effects to them or even combining them. An example would be casting kurohitsugi and firing off four raikoho from inside of the coffin, trapping his opponent directly in the blast zone. He's done this against very strong opponents in the past with incredibly effective results. He also commonly combines binding kido with barriers. This means that his opponent will have to break through both the binding and the barrier to escape, and none of his allies will be able to help him without first breaking the barrier. This inventive use of kido is something that makes Aizen all the more dangerous because it's impossible to know what he's going to do next. With so many combinations at his disposal Aizen virtually has an answer for any situation, but when that's not enough he can also create his own completely unique kido, which he devises on the spot to suit any situation he may currently find himself facing. These kido designed on the fly are immensely effective in the one task that they are developed for, and usually only take him a moment or two to conceive of. It takes half of a post for Aizen to create a unique kido, but once he's created it he can recall it at any time in the future, which takes a quarter of a post. Another ability at Aizen's disposal is to cast any kido at any level. This comes in handy quite often, as many of the utility oriented lower level kido actually become quite effective when cast as say a 90's level kido, and the higher level kido, when scaled down to the lowest levels, do a moderate amount more damage than their low level counterparts, which makes them good for teaching someone a lesson. In addition to all of the previously stated Aizen's kido has one more unique property. It is incredibly durable and long lasting. Aizen has an in depth understanding of the way reiatsu is converted into, for lack of a better term, a physical substance. This means that his barriers in particular are worlds above what you would expect from their number. Even Barragan would have a hard time breaking down Aizen's kido if he were focusing on keeping it around. It would be safe to say that kido as a whole is one of the most dangerous tools in Aizen's arsenal, and it's the usually the first thing he uses in any serious combat scenario. Using his most devastating kido, and taking in to account his ability to amplify kido, at max power Aizen is able to output energy on a tremendous level, easily able to wipe out small countries. Of course this would drain an incredible amount of reiatsu, but he would still be able to attempt to escape.
Hakuda: Although Aizen is not nearly as proficient in Hakuda as he is in the other tools at a Shinigami's disposal, he is still able to utilize it to a fairly high degree as he has a very good understanding of, if not the highest level of the art, then at least the basics, and is able to employ these with ease most of the time, as his speed permits him to set up consistently. While he isn't the most skilled it would be a mistake to underestimate him if it came down to it, as his natural speed and strength mean that he can still dish out quite a beating, even if he doesn't know the highest level techniques. He relies on the basics in Hakuda much as he does in Zanjutsu, although because he doesn't focus on it as much his form is not as pristine. In spite of this, he is still almost always able to see through any gimmick when it comes to the art of Hakuda, and is fairly comfortable responding to it. In general, Aizen wouldn't engage in hand to hand combat. The main reason for him to do so would be because he was toying with his enemy.
Ascendant Reiatsu: Aizen's spiritual pressure at this point in time is capable of feats that many would deem impossible, even with the great advancements that have come over the last four hundred years. He possesses a naturally potent energy that, at maximum output, is able to make reality itself scream in terror, warping it to such an extent that the very fabric of space and time (in the immediate vicinity) are in danger of being permanently weakened. This can cause a few strange occurrences such as objects around him apparently becoming spatially distorted, only to return to normal moments later. The only downside to this is that while his energy reserves are vast, they also take an exceedingly long time to replenish themselves to full when used in ways such as this, as the strain causes his body to regenerate at a reduced rate. Still, his mere presence when unattended to is a death sentence for most beings, as they generally have no ability to withstand the immense, lung crushing, skull fracturing pressure. He is able to control himself though, and can diminish his spiritual output down to a virtually undetectable amount, which is how he tends to travel. It should also be understood that the ocean of reiatsu at his disposal is not the sole reason for its enhanced effect, as mentioned earlier. The real factor is the potency of his energy, something that has only increased with time. This means that the spiritual pressure he exerts is on a different level from perhaps anything felt in the past, save for perhaps from "Gods". None of the captains of the Gotei as he knew them in the past would have been able to remain in his presence for more than a few seconds, if at all. This trait had only just begun to manifest itself when Aizen faced the Gotei previously, but now it is in full swing. It honestly almost surprised him how much he'd evolved, but of course it was only natural. He had a great destiny to fulfill, and that meant that he must continue to grow and adapt at all times.
V. Zanpakuto Appearance
» Zanpakutô Name: Kyoka Suigetsu
» Zanpakutô Spirit Appearance: Kyoka Suigetsu, true to its nature, is a mirror image of Aizen. Down to the last minute detail, everything about the zanpakuto spirit and the shinigami are completely identical. The zanpakuto spirit even copies his mannerisms, personality, and habits. Perhaps this is one reason they get along so well.
» Inner World: Kyoka Suigetsu's inner world is a serenely peaceful scene. A large, crystal clear lake spans the majority of the inner world, although there is also a small lake shore with a few trees, lush green grass, and a path seemingly coming from nowhere. The surface of the lake is a perhaps the most reflective in existence and everything is mirrored perfectly within it. In the sky the full moon hangs brightly, its reflection in the water underneath almost indistinguishable from the real thing.
» Zanpakutô Appearance: Kyoka Suigetsu is a relatively normal katana. It is 63 centimeters in length, and has a diamond shaped tsuba. The wrapping is a deep green silk. Other than that it is like any other blade.
VI. Ascendant Zanpakutô
Aizen's Zanpakutô is different from others in that it has no releases. Like himself it has transcended the need for multiple transformations. In essence this means that he is constantly in a shikokai release, due to a few factors. To start with the passive boost that he receives is not in line with what would normally be expected, but it is still a significant boost, at about sixty percent of what would be normal. While this seems like a downside the real gift of this state is the singular ability that he has access to while in this state, which could be considered the strongest single zanpakuto ability in terms of utility and strategy, both things Aizen excels in. He does use more energy than most, although not at the level of what would be expended to maintain a normal Shikokai, and while many Shinigami wouldn't be able to sustain this kind of constant energy consumption, Aizen's reiatsu reserves have always been, to put it simply, monstrous. Of course, 400 years ago this state was much weaker, but after fusing with the hogyoku, even for the brief amount of time that he did, Aizen's reiatsu reserves were altered. To put it simply Aizen's greatest desire when he and the hogyoku were one was to become limitless in his power, and while it isn't limitless exactly, the hogyoku did greatly increase the level at which he regenerated his expended energy and the level of reiatsu that he could contain at one time. This, in addition to his inherently ascendant being is the main reason that Aizen has continued to increase his power and reiatsu reserves to this day, even though he's had little opportunity to physically train. The reason for this lies in the differences between Aizen and any normal Shinigami. The very state of his being is unaccepting of stagnation, and will not abide it. Whether or not he is able to engage in physical training Aizen is able to continue to grow stronger at a continuous rate, simply through meditation, and by accessing his inner world. While he does not have a release per se, his appearance does change somewhat when he begins to exert himself to the fullest extent. This is purely cosmetic, and doesn't grant any further boost, it is simply his body responding to the increased energy output.
Kanzen Saimin: Complete and utter perfect illusion. Any of the senses can be affected by this, and to such an extreme level that there is literally no counter-play. There can't be, as it's not on the level of a normal illusion where small inconsistencies can lead one to deduce the source of confusion, but is instead the perfect shaping of reality around his target. Every single detail, down to a sub-atomic level is accounted for and perfectly represented. Due to this, the name "Perfect Hypnosis" is extremely fitting.
(Kanzen Saimin can only be used with ooc permission, or in event threads specifically created for its utilization, which must be advertised as such. In any normal rp scenario Aizen will only have the boost from the effective constant shikokai release, but no Zanpakuto abilities. He is unable to learn any other abilities.)
VII. Role Play Sample
Aizen sat, trapped in the bindings that had restrained him for the past four hundred odd years, a smile spreading across his face. He could feel the bindings finally reaching their breaking point. He'd been exerting every bit of spiritual energy he was capable of producing from the moment he'd been locked away here, and now he was finally nearing his escape. He'd been waiting for this moment with such exquisite expectation that it's arrival was almost to die for. Not quite though, he'd done that for an entirely different reason. Realizing that he was close to reaching the peak of what the hogyoku could do for him, Aizen had chosen a new route to power. What held more power than a god itself? Even further along that line of thought, which of those gods would be the most likely to barter with him?
This reasoning had led him to seek out the special imprisonment he was experiencing now. If he could make it here, and get out, perhaps he could take a bit of that power for himself. What did he have to offer? That would remain to be seen. A few ideas presented themselves immediately, but he would prefer to feel out the encounter before committing to one strategy. That didn't mean he hadn't thought them all through, quite the contrary. He'd been doing nothing but plot his return for the past 400 years, and at this point he'd thought through every possible scenario.
A crack brought his attention back to the situation at hand. His left handcuff had just shattered, and although he still couldn't move his arm, as there were several more along the length, he was one step closer to freedom now. Aizen began to speak aloud, not a habit he'd fallen into during his four hundred years of solitude, he just thought the moment fitting of his recognition. Furthermore, he was exceptionally arrogant, and enjoyed hearing the sound of his own voice. Something he hadn't done in a long while now.
"What an amusing prison. Did they really think this would hold me for an eternity? How naive. We've lived under the tyranny of "balance" for far too long, I won't just be cast aside. I'll show them what true balance is. Trials and tribulations bring about prosperity. If not for the many, then for the truly worthwhile, the only ones who matter. To exist in mediocrity is meaningless, the only purpose in living is to strive for perfection. I've never stopped reaching for a throne. The only difference is now I reach for a much greater one."
Two more of the bindings shattered in quick succession. Now that his left arm was free, he began to assist the effect his reiatsu was having with his bodily strength. After a few minutes of solid effort he managed to break apart the restraints that held his right arm as well. Emboldened, and now able to access a greater amount of his reiatsu at one time, Aizen increased the amount of spiritual pressure he was giving off by a decent amount.
Soon he'd managed to free his head and neck. All that remained were the multiple bands around his stomach and his legs. He began to speak once more as he continued to work on freeing himself.
"When I'm free of this place I'll force them all to acknowledge what should be obvious. I'll influence events first on earth, then begin moving on to other realms. I'll make a world in my image, saving the best for last."
With one last massive blast of reiatsu Aizen broke through the final few bindings, sending debris everywhere. He began to laugh as he stood from the chair he'd been glued to for over four hundred years, brushed himself off, and made his way to the next deterrence, the front of a large black cage that had been placed around the chair.
He assaulted the wall in front of him with a devastating top tier kido boosted to the max. It cracked noticeably, but still held strong. Aizen prepared an even more powerful kido, ready to be free of this confinement once and for all. Seconds after the incantation left his mouth the cage was shattered into too many pieces to count. Smirking as widely as he ever had Aizen began to make his way through the most unforgiving and alien environment he'd ever encountered. Through the belly of hell.

So, the main issue here is that you've written that Aizen is in a constant shikokai release. Given the amount of energy/resources required to even feasibly beginning to entertain such a feat, I would like this to be changed to something more along the lines of "Maintaining 100% of his full power at all times".
Perfect Illusion: The amount of information is not adequate for the gravity of the ability. It needs to have criteria of use, scaling based on some sort of site-system. (Willskills prefferably) and way more information than it has now. It does not matter if it's put as a "request/event only" given the diversity of this ability and the capacity of use it requires a much more rigid structure than it has now. One paragraph does not justify the accumulation of the strongest Canon illusion ability/ strongest illusion zan known to exist in the soul society. So this needs work, give me actual abilities rather than an overarching conceptual ability. Furthermore, for stronger illusion-based abilities (I will leave this to your disgression) they should require as you mentioned notification to participants in said event thread and require permission before use. - Tier:N/A till changes are made.

[*]Tier:I'm giving it 0-4+ since this is the tier I feel Aizen should be scaled to after his defeat in Karakura as far as our site is concerned with what went down. And given that he has been in Hell for the past 400 years, I see no reason for him to be higher at the moment since he's been restrained. I'm also avoiding giving him anything related to 0-3 or 0-2 because I'm not trying to have additional tiers around that range since we have an excess of them at the moment. Once he has time to build up and get stronger, I can see him becoming more powerful as his events move on. And this is me being generous here. [/list]
