○ People Person: For those that happen to know of Minerva she is a sweet and kind person that loves the common person. She is excellent in a conversation and specialises in it. It's almost like a talent the way she doesn't even realise she can interact with people so well. Despite living in the Rukongai she does not see the people in a bad way, she sees them as wounded as opposed to evil and seeks to take away that pain. Despite her sweet heart for people there are those that aren't people in her eyes.

○ Righteous: Living in the Rukongai and not the nice places Minerva has witnessed things that are vile. The kind that would make any good man quiver in anger and disgust. She has watched the abuse of those that did not deserve it for any good reason other than that they were just a victim of someone equally in need. She strives to help this wounded place and pursues it righteously. In her life she was saved from a terrible life and given a choice to help the other hurting people in the Rukongai and she took it and from that moment began dedicating her heart, soul and body to this cause. She would murder, torture and delve into the most disgusting things she knows of if she thought that it could result in the betterment of those suffering.

○ Dedicated: She is bound to her cause. This is an absolute for her. She would rather die than even give the slightest bit of information under any form of torture and is loyal to the very end. For Minerva the end justifies the means, she will use any trace of something to her advantage if she feels it will be useful. She is a resourceful woman that could be described as a tinker in the right circumstances despite having such rudimentary knowledge of science but to her junk can be treasure.

○ Motherly: She is incredibly weak to children, specifically abused children or those that do not have any form of help. This doesn't extend to those that have it easy or live amongst the aristocracy. It's not a well-known trait about her however after witnessing a woman resorting to trying to sell her daughter to criminals for another drug fix Minerva struggled with the idea of seeing children suffer and intervened. She took it upon herself to try and take care of children and put those that she could save in loving environments. It's something she values as much as bringing an end to the suffering of the Rukongai and equality to the area.


This woman is just your regular woman within the Rukongai. On first glance you'd see her as nothing more than just a woman making her way within the harsh world she knew. There was once a time where the word sparrow did not float on the wind and the name Minerva wasn't her own. This distant past she was known by a different name but that's one that was soon forgotten.

She can accurately recall the first time she woke up in the Rukongai. Surrounded by others with only a ragged blanket covering her body. Minerva's had no recollection of what came before or what she was doing here. It was a confusing time with a rude awakening. The very first thing she had to do though was secure some clothes for herself given she had ungraciously woken up in a dirty and smelly piece of material.

It took her a while to associate herself to her environment. It was a strange place and her bearings were all wrong for the beginning. Once she was able to secure some clothes with a risky snatch from a merchant that wasn't paying attention she had some decency to her appearance. Minerva though would soon discover this place was unwelcoming. Poverty was everywhere, she watched children steal from vendors and then be chased and publicly beaten and abused while no one tried to help or cared. At night when she sought out somewhere to hunker down for the night it was a struggle to dodge the criminals running around and she never went a night without hearing noises from the district.

She had nothing though, she had nowhere to go and she could only last so long by stealing. Eventually she too found herself in the position of being taken advantage of by this cruel situation. Getting to the point of seeking out somewhere she could stay for food and shelter for the cost of work was easy. The work itself though was degrading for her. She hated the way she'd stay with a man for a while until he tired of her and finally tossed her out on her backside again. She never got money and without it she was stuck in this situation like a perpetual cycle.

The bitterness of seeing this inequity and way of this broken scenario only made her sour, despite this there was a resolve to live that pushed her onward until she finally was roped into the life of a prostitute. The life of a whore was not something she took to immediately but the experience would take away these feelings and desensitise her to it all. Through it all though she learned the value of something more than money, secrets. While naturally she still saw fit to take the money to pay her way through life the secrets were much more valuable. Understanding her clients' lives and using their dirty secrets to begin to exploit them became easy to her.

This would come to bite her in the behind soon though, clients obviously didn't like the fact a prostitute would exploit them. They did not like the tables being turned she found out and after a swift beating in an alley for her behaviour she was left on her own and back at the bottom with nothing but a small stash. Working independently wasn't easy either but she made it with what she knew. But the fact remained that she was still a woman that would make her way around late at night for her business and so it was that fateful night when everything changed.

It began with a group of rowdy shinigami, hyped up on alcohol and their group mentality, the group happened to stumble upon her. While normally this wouldn't be an issue but after jokes and comments were exchanged between the group Minerva knew that she was in trouble when the first one tried to grab her. Despite her resistance it was apparent to her that she was just an object to these people that were supposed to protect the citizens. Scum that she was forced to abide by. It just so happened though that a man heard her protests and came to her aid. It was something she was not expecting. In this setting he was well within his rights to just move along with his evening and ignore her. She was after all nothing.

Instead he killed them all and she was left cowering in the men's warm and sticky blood. For a moment she wondered if he was just a serial killer looking for a fix and that she was just going to be the next target. When he raised his hand she cowered, expecting something bad to happen before it turned into a soothing pat to her shoulders and he comforted her. She was shocked by this sense of humility and had felt as if this place killed it within people. Just leaving her would've sufficed for aid but an offer was made to her that evening. She became his sparrow.


○ Executioner's Blade: Minerva possesses the executioner's blade that is wielded by members of the Coalition, she is no different. It is disguised as her earrings that she wears usually.



○ An Educated Prostitute: A cruel truth about her, she is a woman that knows the art of pleasure and was forced into it. Despite the associations of such an occupation Minerva is a woman that understands her trade exceptionally well. She can expertly achieve what would be required of her but it is not the sexual traits which hold the value for this role. For her there is more value in it.

Understanding how people behave, what they like and such has its benefits. It allows for her to manipulate them. There is a surprising level of behavioural understanding and psychology packed into Minerva's kit. On top of her resourcefulness it can be exploited in many ways. She is skilled at pulling information out of a client should she see the need. While Minerva's experience makes her what she likes to call "higher end" she enjoys manipulating the secrets out of the odd noble looking for a night of pleasure but in the past it was used primarily on the drunk hooligans.

Psychology is one thing though, considering the nature of Miverva's work she knows people in the business. She actually has worked herself into a pretty high position within the trade as well. With a position such as her's it is child's play for her to exploit the underground slums of the criminal trade and entire business to an extent. She is not the kingpin but if she would require the help of another prostitute to get her some information there is a level of power she has in flexing her muscles.

○ Little Birds: As mentioned before Minerva likes to obtain intelligence and information. She naturally has established a network throughout the soul society because of it. There is a limited level of presence she has within the Soul Society as such. The ability to control NPCs and get information in circumstances. As an example this could manifest as turning one of her little "sparrows" into a noble's handmaiden and being able to slowly work her fingers into the nooks and crannies of the Soul Society.

○ Thief's Wit: She has experience as a thief and pick-pocketing, it's not what she's known for and in no way is she anything like a master. She's not going to slip your watch off your wrist or snatch your coat off your back without you being aware but she is quite capable of slipping the odd trinket out of a pocket on the way past or when pushed against a body. She by no means a novice but she also isn't a master thief.
