I. Basic Information
» Name: Buu
» Age: 10,000 years
» Gender: Female (presumably)
» Association: TBA
» Appearance Written:
Buu stands at a relatively decent height of about 6’0” ft. Her smooth skin displays a sort of pale complexion somewhat typical of her kind. Noticeable is the long locks of her velvet red hair which span far down her back, and almost to her butt. Hidden underneath so much hair lies the remains of her Hollow mask, tucked away as a form of protection to the back of her skull. A pair of relatively thick framed black glasses are usually worn on her person, though it's unlikely they’re actually needed to correct her sight. They’re likely worn as an aesthetic choice. Her eyes are of a soft but bright baby blue, most of the time… If her more evil persona is in charge, then her iris will turn from blue to red, and her sclera will turn from white to black. Although her choice of outfit can vary, Buu typically isn’t one for fashion or glamour unless she needs to make a statement or cause an impression. On a day to day basis, she tends to wear clothing that doesn’t get too much in her way, yet look acceptable. For instincance, a somewhat checkered red and blue top can typically be seen worn by her, perhaps to allude to the sort of duality present in her life; but she may also simply like the way it matches to the red of her hair. To compliment it, nearly arm length black gloves, and matching black pantyhose finish off the look. It's also not uncommon for her to be seen wearing a form of white lab coat. Given the nature of her job, (not killing, the other one), she tends to reach for it both out of necessity and due to what it symbolizes for her.

II. Personality
» Personality:
The Evolution and Duality
Once Buu became an Arrancar, her personality was sort of split into two identities she hadn’t quite been acquainted with during her trek as a Hollow. The personality that was typically seen in her newest form was essentially foreign to her. She seems nice. With an interest in science, knowledge, and overall success and the longevity of her plans, she’s less likely to pick fights for no reason. Granted, there’s still the singular goal to help Buu do what Buu loves, regardless of which personality is in charge. Interesting enough, both personas are aware of each other, and do not dislike each other. In fact, they actually piggyback on their strengths and weaknesses to create a more solid and entire being. Though extremely rare, the calm and good personality can sometimes remain the active one when Buu goes into her Resurrection. Granted, this persona is not the best equipped to deal with extreme stress and danger, in which case the other one, far more suited for it takes over.
The darker persona of Buu is what can possibly be considered her true personality. That’s the way she had been ever since she was a lesser Hollow, and one of the main reasons she was able to dominate as she has. In this state of mind she has no care for anything other than herself. She seeks to have pleasure in the battlefield, at the table, or anything else she desires. With her wants coming first above all else, the darker side of her tends to enjoy death and destruction far too much, a testament to the infamous legacy of her legend as the Boogeyman. Unfortunately, it even becomes a bit difficult to differentiate between friends and enemies, though that is something she’s actively working to remedy. It helps when her allies aren’t the kind she can squish with a single hit.
In the end, both personas act in unison for Buu’s sake and her self preservation. The lighter side of her is still a murderer, and the darker side of her is still incredibly smart. However, her more stable side is more willing to cooperate and more apt to handle conversations that don’t end in violence. She’s also the one in charge of furthering the Arrancar’s experiments, making sure her subjects are tended to as needed, and creating most of the strategies she uses in battles and in hunts. As for the darker side, she’s typically allowed to roam in circumstances where the other isn’t up to the task. Most of the time, when killing and destruction are needed, her more evil side comes to have fun. She’s also better suited to handling situations where her existence is in peril. More importantly, despite the balance, the darker side is the only one that can force itself on Buu to switch, as essentially, it is the stronger one. That being said, it's not uncommon for either personality to be visible in a form the other typically surfaces in. Its a partnership after all.
III. History
» History:
The Prologue
During times men long forgot and where beasts thrived, a new being rose to prominence in the farthest reaches of Hueco Mundo. Her once Human life was all but forgotten, and it stayed that way. There was nothing about it that was deemed important enough to remember. The only sentiments known by the then Adjuchas was that survival and evolution was of great importance. However, unlike some of her breathren, she didn’t fight and kill just to survive or to evolve. She fought and killed because she enjoyed the destruction. She fought and killed because she worshipped the idea of battle, and yearned for the feeling of taking a life. Most times she killed for the sheer pleasure of it, even if doing so could come at the cost of her own life. The Adjuchas at the time went by no name; in fact, most often called it El Coco, or The Boogeyman. The being was herald as a sort of mythical monster, feared even among the Hollow kind and whose true existence was contested and passed off sometimes as pure speculation. While she wasn’t the strongest being at the time, her existence placed it among the very strongest of beasts of her kind. She lacked the altruistic intelligence, but she made up with gut wrenching decisions, and a bloodthirst and power to help push through almost any obstacle.
It came to no surprise that she had no interest in removing her mask. There was far too much to attain, and the danger and possibility of regression into a Menos was all the excitement she needed. The idea that she could kill and feed or stand idle and die was all the encouragement she ever needed. Thousands of years ago the sands were colored red far more often than even today. But with time, and as the Boogeyman got stronger, she also became smarter. It was almost as if she was evolving, or getting closer to a point at which she would. The beast took to the sands once more, though not to prey and hunt over them, but beneath them. She started to appreciate the value and amusement there was in killing. The Boogeyman still went on her rampages of killing but they became more calculated and planned, and infinitely more satisfying. With time she discovered that as fearsome as her visage was, she could make other Hollows be as afraid of her own existence as much as her actions. And with that, she ascended into the final form of the Hollow, but with it came a rush of dark memories she took as a welcomed present to her new form.
Bibbidi
Nothing came to mind before her time as a Hollow. At one point it wasn’t clear whether she had a past to begin with or whether she was just it. Every Hollow had a start, with a life of their own, but hers was unavailable for her perusing, and the distraction was not missed. Her form wasn’t very appealing, in fact, she looked quite repulsive. A large and dark entity with a vicious maw and claws. All she knew is that she craved combat and blood, and that she needed to kill in order to feed, and kill in order to feel. In between her hideous visage, her thirst for power, and the drive to so, the being then with no name begin killing and feeding on a plethora of her kind. She did have a Human soul once or twice, but no more. Weaker Humans were, well, weak. It was a time so long ago that the number of their truly exceptional fighters were rare and few in between. But besides, even when there certainly were individuals capable of smiting her out of existence in the world of the living, the challenge didn’t seem as worthwhile. In Hueco Mundo every beast fought for their chance to prove themselves stronger. Almost every beast ached with the hope that they could move forth as opposed to regress and die. As for her, the beast that she was enjoyed the feeling of taking the life of someone that thought they had made it… it felt so nice.
It wasn’t clear how much time she had spent on that form, but it had been a very long time indeed. The more she killed the better she got at it. The more different ways to she took about destruction the more she enjoyed it. And the more souls she fed on the more of them she needed to satisfy her near unquenchable hunger for all the previous. Then, one day, upon opening her eyes she was tossed into a completely different kind of fight. The monster hadn’t sought it outright but she knew it was coming, and welcomed it. Upon transcending into the Menos form, the entity that she was threw an amalgamation of souls into a form of all for one fight for dominance. The truth of the matter was, that the monster she was was vastly superior to the rest on that being in terms of willpower and sheer drive. She wasn’t locked in with them, they were locked in with her. And while at first the experience felt like a challenge, soon it became a sort of fleeting memory she would try to cherish and make it last as long as she could.
Every now and again she could feel the clamoring plead and the struggling grasp of lesser souls trying to avoid oblivion by climbing higher on the singular Menos hierarchy. It was their own hopelessness and the futility of their action that truly struck a chord and made her savor the moment; and it was fleeting indeed. Soon all other attempts were squandered, and all other voices were finally silenced. The monster had claimed its dominance over the other beasts to seize control over the Menos form. From that point the focus shifted on to other Menos. While lesser Hollows could still prove a bit of a challenge though rarely, the greatest threat and greatest reward came when killing and eating another of her kind. It was towards the very end of her time as a Menos that the monster started to see its identity more than that of a female, even though she was as much male or female as rock or a piece of steel. The only logical explanation was that in past life, perhaps as a Human, the dominant soul had indeed been a woman.
The Forest of Menos had become her playground as she preyed on others and fed. But her fun would soon be cut short as she took another step onto the unknown, the dangerous, and by her own definition: the better. Her form was much smaller than she had been as a Gillian, but she was still far taller than the average Human height, by at least two to three times. Her body was covered in a glossy pink look, with an odd Hollow mask that added to her grotesque nature. From the claws to the raws of sharp teeth, she was an abomination that would soon take on the mantle and name of the Boogeyman.
As the Boogeyman, only her appearance had changed; everything else remained the same, if not heightened. Her power had skyrocketed. Her thirst for blood and her love for killing had been increased even more. She fought for survival, killed for sport, and did it all overall for the sake of enjoyment and gratification. Even that felt like such a long time ago, that many of the Hollows alive back then had either died out in battle long since. The only trace of the Boogeyman’s existence was passed down as pure rumor or myth as a monster among monsters with an unquenchable thirst that went at everything on its path with the intent to kill or be killed. With as large as the world was, she was unable to reach it all, or be reached by all, though that was likely for the better. Despite her power, it wasn’t a stretch of the imagination that there could be a number of beasts that outclassed her at the time, for the time being. But it seemed as though evolution had something new, and something better in store for her. As ascended into the Vasto Lorde form, the Boogeyman received something she had only peered at before, and which would change the way she behaved and created chaos in the world. She finally had a greater intellect. Having reached what she considered the final form of the Hollow, the beast would change her name one last time. The Boogeyman was gone. From there on, she was only known as Buu.
As a Vasto Lorde, Buu started find a lot of her methods archaic, and her antics, not worth the time, for the amount of fun she had. There was only so much chaos and so much destruction she could cause by simply running around Hueco Mundo, killing everything on her path. And besides, if she were to do so, sooner or later she would draw unneeded attention to herself from beings who could put a stop to her. And while the thought of meeting someone that could kill her excited her beyond belief, it simply wasn’t worth it missing out on the fun of killing at her leisure, and how she deemed best. But more importantly, there was a certain mystique to her name that she wanted to keep. By then the Hollow was still shrouded in secrecy. Some had alluded her massacres of centuries past as simply the aftermath of different Hollows doing what they did best. Some feverishly believed she existed, and some simply passed it off as bullshit. Frankly, until that point, no one that knew who she was or had seen her in battle had lived to tell the tale, and she intended to keep it that way.
Instead, the Vasto Lorde took to underground, creating her own personal base deep underneath the sands of Hueco Mundo, in as remote and uncharted an area as she could find. While the devastation and genocide she could cause still stood among her most delightful of hobbies, knowledge had recently risen, not to rival, but to support her other endeavors. Simply ripping a head off, or parting a beast in two got boring, especially after doing the same over and over for several centuries. Instead, she started studying her surroundings, quietly, and from away. She analyzed the differences between different Hollows, specially their personalities. She learned what some loved, and what some hated, and learned what made them tick. Among her most favored of methods was to try and know her next victim as much as possible before making a move. She made sure to plan elusive but noticeable clues as to the prey and hunter relationship. She gave enough room to cement hope, and a sense of security. And just when everything seemed to be well she struck. Buu didn’t kill right away; not then. Instead, she took the pain to relish on the pain and see the light in their eyes extinguish slowly as the last picture burned into their existence was hers.

In her final Hollow form, Buu looked even smaller still. She had decreased in height to be even shorter than the average Human. Her body still displayed the eerie pink look, and her general look was still vastly hideous, even by average Vasto standards. With time however, she noticed that just changing tactics simply wasn’t enough. There were only so many Hollows she could realistically kill and not make it obvious she existed. Massive forms of population control didn’t happen of ordinary causes, without rhyme or reason. Instead, for her own good, she decided to go into self imposed systemic hibernation cycles. Essentially, she would sleep anywhere from a century or two. Then, upon awakening, she would calculated efforts to create chaos and commit mass genocide for the sake of fun. She was like a starving being, having gone without food for so long. Thankfully for her, not only did Vasto Lorde not regress, but during her times of studying she had created the means to stay in hibernation for just as long as she did without the need of sustenance. It was both in part due to the chamber she created under the grounds, and also due to the massive amounts of Hollow she consumed when awake before going back into slumber. In doing so the rumors continued and she soon became a sort of mythical creature of the sands, whose folklore became as intertwined with the desert world as the sand itself. Like Wendigos, Skinwalkers, or Leprechauns on Earth, she was spoken of as a mere rumor that couldn’t be factually proven to be real, yet.
To some extent, she preferred things the way they were. Even while Hueco Mundo changed and evolved during her time asleep, in the end, the core elements were always the same. It was still a world where the strong ruled, and the weak were assimilated or died. Sometimes they died either way. Although Buu had always wanted to be the strongest of Hollows, and quite frankly it was difficult to believe she didn’t belong in the highest echelon of power, without including Arrancars, she simply didn’t care as much for the time being. She was both myth and legend. Besides, it was always interesting to wake up, a few centuries later and catch an unsuspecting victim to find out what had occurred during her slumber. Some kings came and went, lived and died. Some other powerful beings were still around kicking despite being incredibly ancient. There was even a time where a Shinigami had seized temporary control over the world of the sands. Unfortunately the events transpired during one of her hibernation cycles. Then again, it was difficult to believe Buu would have participated.
She never really cared about the issues or plight of her people. She couldn’t care less if they were victorious in conquest or oppressed and enslaved on defeat. So long as there were powerful beings to kill and stain the sands red, she was happy. So long as her existence was fielded as myth and legend she was amused. So long as she had her fun, continuously throughout the ages, she was elated. Eventually however, the world started catching up on its path to evolution in way that threatened hers. Numerous races had risen to power, among them the Demons, a kind almost as dark as her own who thought themselves better. And with a seemingly larger population in a more modern world of the living, the numbers of spiritual beings everywhere had simply skyrocketed during the last millenia compared to when she first roamed the sands aimlessly. It was finally time.
Her next step in evolution seemed logical as she forcibly removed her mask, and became an Arrancar. However, unlike every time before, evolution hadn’t been as kind and helpful for her endeavors as it once had. As an Arrancar, she more closely resembled the typical look of a woman, with the remnants of her mask and its peculiar look hidden underneath the vast amounts of hair. More importantly however, she had a sudden change in persona as though she was a completely different person that had just been reborn. Buu knew her name, and she knew everything she had done in Hueco Mundo leading up to that point. And while she didn’t regret the actions that led to her evolution, her newest form simply wasn’t as primed or eager to fight or kill. She still had no interest to venture out into the surface too often for some reason. Instead, the woman found more pressing matters in her own scientific endeavors, and the troubles of a now largely leaning scientific mind. She wasn’t the only one there though.
As the weeks and months went by, there was what seemed like clawing at the back of her mind. She was uneasy, perhaps even nervous. Soon she gave in to her own anxiety and her personality changed entirely. As she released into her resurrection, the bloodthirsty fiend was back and took to the surface, killing and feeding on any Hollow that came on her path before retreating back to her lair. The legacy it seemed, continued to fight for its right to live on. As it turned out, during the process of becoming an Arrancar something had gone horribly wrong, or delightfully right, depending who you asked. It seemed as though Buu had been divided into two different personalities that governed different aspects and moments of her being. When in her base form, the more collected and stable personality had the reign. She prized scientific development and knowledge over most things. The woman was highly intuitive and curious about her nature and the world around her. However when she released into her resurrection, the dark and chaotic side of her that had been running wild for so long was in charge. That being mostly about the hunts and her prey. She cared about destruction and chaos. She cared about killing, feeding, and mostly having fun in her own sadistic and twisted way.
Both personalities were aware of each other, and they soon figured out they needed to work together in order to meet both of their goals, or die and fade in the process. If she stayed far too long on her base form or didn’t allow the darker side of her some playtime, it would simply force itself on her. As so, the two struck a deal. Buu in her base form would be allowed to continue on with her research as she desired. Of course so long as it didn’t compromise their safety or jeopardize the value of the dark legacy they had created. From time to time, the darker Buu would be allowed to roam and hunt and kill to her heart’s content as she always did. Though to keep their destruction in check and to minimize exposure, the Arrancar still went into her habitual century slumber. In the end, though their methods were different, both personalities had the same goals in mind. They both wanted to survive, get stronger, and have fun. They just figured out they could use their own unique skills to favor and compliment each other. Neither Buu was good nor evil, at least not in her own definition. She was essentially the same being with the same convictions from her point of view, she simply had different priorities depending on her mood, and her form.
Boo
It was during that time Buu created a very peculiar object which she came to name, the Hollow Gem. Its construction wasn’t an easy feat, and required the killing of countless of Hollows throughout most of a millenia. In a way, she had unknowingly been working towards such a thing for quite a while. It also required several samples from the world around her, be it from the beasts, the crystalline elements from the trees in the Forest of Menos, and much more. The artifact was a small purple stone of great power which produced very peculiar effects. It wasn’t very different in size to something like the Hogyoku, but it did behave differently. The Hollow Gem had no means of enhancing her power. It did however have a very peculiar effect on other Arrancars.
With the intellect Buu possessed in her base, and the power and willingness to use it she had on her release, she was able to accomplish quite a lot. She found that there was as much effort in hurting as there was in killing. And there was as much amusement to be had in seeing someone suffer as seeing someone die. While Hollows of different levels still posed a fun hunting challenge, Buu took it upon herself to limit her killing sprees even more, and for good reason. Not only did it help to cement the myth of her existence further, pushing into more of lie, but it allowed her to focus on something else. She started abducting one or two Arrancars after she had defeated them in battle. Some she killed, and some she kept for experimenting. It was the best of both worlds. And frankly, no one could blame her. Arrancars and Hollow killed each other off almost all the time. It was ingrained in their nature, and if time had changed that was unfortunate, because she wouldn’t.
The Hollow Gem was able to mess with any one number of things within an Arrancar. It could mess with their mental capacities, making them smarter or dumber. It could mess with their cognitive behavior to a point of leaving them comatose too. On different applications, it could even force to change, expand, or enhanced the abilities of a resurrection of her subjects. Of course, nothing ever came free, in fact, it had a high cost. It wasn’t all that different from the case of Wonderweiss Margela, where Aizen had modified him to possess a singular ability at the cost of his speech, memory, and intelligence. Now the Hollow Gem could produce similar effects without as many of the drawbacks. The subjects still had to pay the price in one respect or another, but it wasn’t as severe as it was with the Hogyoku. Granted the Hogyoku also possessed a plethora of other abilities that were unique to it, and which the Hollow Gem did not possess. (OOC: Before we go any further, this is done primarily on NPCs on her history only. For it to happen to any PC, there must be clear and explicit approval by the player.)
It was always interesting to her to see what kind of changes she could create on an Arrancar, and how stronger she could get them. Once they were finished, she would let them loose to fight against her. If they killed her so be it, but until then, she had won every single match. By taking powerful Arrancar and giving them a boost, she was able to enjoy truly dangerous and epic battles the likes of which she would have far too much difficulty finding during her times awake. Buu was in no rush to die, so she had not sought out to the highest of echelons just yet. She simply wanted to have some fun.
Unfortunately her myth and legend would soon come to a halt. Despite all the death and destruction and all the dangers her world faced, she had never stepped out of the shadows to help. She either turned a blind eye every time, or slept through problems as if they didn’t concern her. However there were a number of things that had grown to irritate her during the last few centuries. The Demons were growing far more cocky than ever before. Pride had become not yet become a weakness of Buu’s, but it could be. They thought themselves as the big bad. Despite not being outrightly said so, many of their kind thought themselves superior to hers. That and the fact that the Hollow kind itself was secretly tormented by the fact that lately, they were nothing but lackeys licking the boots of the so called superior Demon race. No one tormented Hollows but Buu, and she was pissed. Until then, the woman had no intention to join yet. In a way she faulted her own kind for the fate they had received, due to being cowards and not doing what was necessary. And while Buu had never come out and fought for them, she had never been the kind to do so either way, so there was no shame to be had.
It seemed as though that too would change though. One of the oldest Arrancar, one actually even older than her, was finally starting to take matters into his own hands. No longer did it look like empty chit chat or propositions. It seemed as though there was an actual plan to take the fight to the Demons and kick them in the teeth, rip their heads out, and drink their blood… and that made her feel all kinds of right. For the very first time Buu left the secrecy of her hideout beneath the sands and actually take part on the real world. Chances were that to almost every Hollow, and even most of the powerful Arrancars she would be an unknown. Only those that no longer lived had ever seen her in combat, and to the full extent of her power. However the very ancient or rather powerful like Barragan and Nagato could have put two and two together, and upon meeting her, surmised she was behind the myths and the legends. Make no mistake however, Buu had no plans to swear loyalty and kneel before either Nagato or Barragan. She was willing to put her fun aside for the sake of helping the war effort. Of course the thought that she could kill and feed on as many enemy Demons as she desired was a pretty big influence swaying her decision.
The ball was essentially in their court. If the one leading the war effort did not accept her help without kneeling, then she would simply turn a blind eye to their efforts. It all depended on how proud he was. It wouldn’t be the same going back to her antics if her secret was finally out, but that was a bridge she’d cross when she got to it. If however Nagato didn’t really care for her kneeling so long as she backed the plan and helped him destroy their enemies, she would be on board. With Buu finally risen from the sands she headed out on her way to seek the war efforts and those who led it. The Arrancar had no plans on going into hibernation anytime soon. From the looks of it, the sands of Hueco Mundo were about to be tainted red to such a degree the likes of which had hardly ever been witnessed before. There was still the question of how far would the Hollows push the Demons. But, if the other Arrancars were as intent on victory and dominance as the stronger side of Buu was, they were certainly about to get along just fine.

V. Racial Techniques/Abilities/Skills
» Racial Abilities:
High Speed Regeneration: Regeneration is one of the Arrancar’s racial traits, but for Buu is quite easily and by far her biggest asset, and her most fearsome quality. Even more so than her Hungry Beam, the myth and legend that plagued the name of Buu and the Boogeyman speak highly of a level of regeneration unlike many have seen. The woman is able to reconnect severed limbs, grow out a new head after the original was cut off, or even push out half her body like sunken sponge, if it was blown off. In fact, in relation to Boogeyman’s Body, there have been times where her body was completely obliterated into several dozen pieces of her pink fleshy self only for it to react, pile up together and recreate her form. Of course, nothing comes without a cost, as the woman’s hierro is pitiful in response; as it should be. But beyond that there are certain limits to what she can do, or rather how often and under which circumstances. For instance, the speedy regeneration of limbs or small parts is a cakewalk for her. However larger or more significant forms of regeneration, like growing a new head or the entire right side of her body are slightly different. During her base form she’s only able to create such a feat once every three posts, whereas the limit is reduced to one post during her resurrection. On the other hand, the maximum extent of her regeneration, such as her unique ability to reform the entirety of her body from a myriad of pieces of her is something that can only be done in a released state. Even then, despite not showing it, it certainly takes a toll as its pretty draining. Therefore if Buu is forced to do so during her resurrection, she’s unable to do it again for an additional three posts. Bear in mind that Buu isn’t extremely tough to the point where she can tank extremely catastrophic explosions, forcing her to regenerate to compensate until the point where she is unable to.
Cero: The typical and more basic energy attack of power known to the Hollow kind. Hers are usually of a deep or bright pink hue, and unlike some of her peers, she isn’t limited to firing them only from her finger tips. Her mouth, her tail, and even her back, among other areas are equally likely to produce the blast as she so desires. As expected of Buu, there’s immense power and destruction to be had with every blast, so opponents need to take caution to try and prevent the levels of damage it could potentially cause. She’s also learned to fire up to three of them at once.
Cero Kamikaze: On command, Buu is able to spew out what looks like white ghastly versions of herself. Each creation is about half her size, and differs beyond just the choice in color in the shape and size of their limbs too. On her base form, the Arrancar is only able to create about half a dozen, whereas she’s able to spew out a dozen when in a released state. None of the creations are fully sentient to her own degree, and are rather manipulated by her own conscious will. They can’t talk, and simply laugh, giggle, frown or yell, seemingly as a reflection of her own mood. More importantly however is the fact that each ghost can move extremely fast, well beyond her typical movement speed.
Within, each ghost houses extremely dense amounts of energy, with enough power to replicate the destruction of five powerful cero blasts. To detonate, the ghost typically has to either hit its intended target, or come close enough for Buu to allow it to do so. That being said, unless they’re struck down or hit by a sufficiently powerful force, she’s able to keep them from detonating until the time is right. When they do, rather than shooting out like a cero would, each ghost creates a sort of imploding and exploding effect respectively. In less than a split second the ghost lits up and implodes into the area of detonation before surging out in an incredibly explosive wave. The ghosts are able to use bala and cero attacks either fired from their hands or their mouth. Again, while the ghosts can travel fast and will try to hold onto a target, a powerful enough hit or blast would stop and forced it to detonate. Regardless, there’s a certain level of effort involved in creating and maintaining such a technique as it does drain energy reserves. Outright, Buu is unable to create more ghosts so long as at least one is present on the field. On her base form, she’s also unable to overcome the drain for another two posts after initiating the technique, whereas the cooldown is reduced to one post on resurrection, and none on segunda etapa.
Cero Finger Beam: With time, the Arrancar was able to refine and change some of the properties of her attacks by simply altering their nature and how they behaved. For instance, Bala attacks usually traded in power for the sake of speed, while Cero traded a bit of speed for a big increase in power. With this technique, Buu points one of her fingers, though it certainly be done with the tip of her tail to fire her attack. Its essentially a cero that has been modified to remove most if not all of its explosive effect. By taking away so much of its power, she was able to increase its speed by an extremely large margin. However, it still presents inherent changes that make it unable to be classified as a bala. Despite its speed and lack of inherent explosiveness, the main power of the technique comes from its unreal piercing power. The power that remained from the such a technique was condensed and centered around a thin beam that while it wouldn’t level a mountain range, it would certainly go through most objects of the sturdiest kinds. As such this isn’t an attack made to blow someone up, or even to cause immediate death. Instead its more heavily used as a means to injure by impaling or stabbing an opponent, or simply hitting piercing one of their allies when behind cover.
Energy Donuts: By using one or both her hands, and even her tail, Buu is able to create anywhere from one to three golden energy rings she has aptly called Energy Donuts. As the name implies, they are donut like energy rings that are somewhat thinner than the pastry on its edges, and largely hollow in its center. Their starting size can vary, but they’re specifically made to be shrunk or enlarged to great degrees in order to be useful against almost any kind of foe. For instance, each donut can shrink in size to the point of having a diameter of simple half an inch. They can also be enlarged to possess a diameter of about 100 meters. Now with that same function, Buu tries to either phase the donut through an object or a person, only to change that effect and have it act as either cuffs or a ring that tightens around the foe to snare them.
The donuts can only phase through objects or people before that effect is canceled for the sake of snaring. Hitting the edges of the technique would indeed attempt to destroy it despite most of it consisting of empty space. In the end, the energy used to create the technique is very similar to that of a cero, and if struck directly each donut detonates with the power of one. However she cannot will them to explode on their own. In the case an opponent is snared by the donut however, there are ways they can be freed without triggering the explosion. The opponent’s strength mastery checks against Buu’s cero mastery. By overpowering the technique, they’re able to crack and break through it without triggering the blast. Typically each donut adds an extra post the opponent is snared, assuming equivalent masteries, to a max of three posts for each donut. Of course, each level of mastery above hers also reduces the length snared, if any, depending on the amount of successful donuts wrapped.
Swordsmanship: Her sword is a weapon Buu only saves for the most formidable of opponents. When her body and her attacks just won’t do, she retrieves her Devoradora and truly gets to work. Despite its size, her strength allows her to wield almost as well with one hand, as she could with two. And due to the unorthodox nature of her powers, the Arrancar has been able to employ techniques that would simply be far too ludicrous for others. Nonetheless, she is a skilled swordfighter who no doubt will only continue to get better at the art.
Hand to hand combat: Being raised in Hueco Mundo, and thriving in its environment has meant Buu not only had to become acquainted with the skill, but go as far as be in its highest echleons. In fact, Buu resorts to the use of her fists and close quarter combats much more often than the use of her blade. Though that has no take on her skill on this art or the other, it is at least clear that she deals with her opponents much more often through the way of hand to hand combat. Be it because she doesn’t deem them worthy of her blade or not, her skill with her body is undeniable. By using the elastic nature of her power and her unique skills, she has created a rather unorthodox fighting style unique to her own, that though dangerous to the user for most people, has served her just right.
Cero Skill: There’s no denying Buu has done a lot with her cero. From creating her own unique and powerful forms, to embedding it with her Sonido to create the Doomsday ability. Her dominion over it is clear in both the power she commands with it, as well as the creative freedom and flexibility obvious in her skilled use. With a mindset that prizes destruction and the fun there’s to be had in discovering creative ways to use her powers, there’s no doubt even more evolution will come to what is already one of her most formidable of skills.
Hollow Beam Cannon: By condensing and experimenting with her own bala and cero, Buu was able to create a mix between the two for very specific and useful purposes. From either of her hands or her tail, the Arrancar is able to fire a very peculiar form of beam. The main beam is very similar to her death beam in the sense that is simply a cero that was condensed into a very small ray like form. Doing so starved the attack of all of its explosive and destructive power for the sake of rather extreme speeds and an inherent ability to pierce through almost any spiritual defense. That beam is encased by a different form of spiral or coil like wave. That one is actually made from a bala that was slowed just a bit for the sake of more power, and made to have what functions as both housing, but mainly a drill. Together, the two beams feed off of each other, going faster and hitting stronger than they could on their own.
Beyond the incredible speed the attack travels combined, it’s the effects it has which makes it truly dangerous. The Hollow Beam Canon won’t create a massive crater or destroy a country. However, the piercing power of the inner blast, plus the rapidly rotating drill like beam of its housing makes it not only extremely difficult to dodge, but rather gruesome too. One beam pierces through the skin while the other simultaneously drills through it, creating a sizable wound cavity that can bleed profusely and cause great damage to the inside of the body. The circumference of the complete attack is that of roughly five inches in diameter.
Rain of Destruction: Raising an arm over her head, a powerful aura of pink energy begins surging from her feet to her hands. From it she fires a massive barrage of energy up into the air which then rain down on her opponents for rather destructive effects. The barrage initially surges about 50 meters up into the air before raining on a predetermined area. The attack is a very large scale means of destroying an extremely wide area or attacking an extremely large opponent. For instance the amount of blasts than rain down number easily in the hundreds, and span a distance of up to 100 meters. Each of the blasts raining down is capable of create such levels of destruction that craters of more than 10 meters in diameter and 20 meters in depth are common. Most sturdy structures like buildings or even foothills would be destroyed and reduced to rubble.
Kamehameha: This oddly named technique is essentially an extremely powerful cero Buu possessed, with power that rivals that of a Gran Rey Cero. By bringing both her hands, or even just a hand and her tail together, a sphere of dense pink energy is formed. And by bringing both her limbs forth, the sphere shoots out in a form of extremely powerful cero beam with extreme destructive power. Easily able to level a mountain or push the largest of aircrafts out into atmosphere, the attack is renowned for its force and deadly destruction it leaves on its explosive wake.
Doomsday: With time, Buu created a technique that made use of two of the Hollow racial abilities, Cero and Sonido. By training each skill diligently and learning how to meld them together, she was able to obtain what came to be called Doomsday. Essentially, the energy involved with the cero begins to surge throughout her body. In her case, it becomes a form of pink and black energy that feels very dense and powerful. At the same time, she begins vibrating her body whether she moves or not. As the technique is created, a symbol in the form of an M in cursive appears on her forehead, where it stays for its duration. Doing so kick starts the use of her Sonido in a rather different but efficient way. By combining both of them, the energy turns into a darker pink and black that surrounds her body and her limbs. Even if she were to use a blade, that two would have the pink and black energy outline surrounding it.
More importantly, the technique has the effect of raising both her speed and her power potential. For instance, when in use, Doomsday increases Buu’s speed by about three times. Beyond that, each of her kicks and punches, or sword slashes possess a devastating enhancement, comparable to the power of a three cero, further strengthening her otherwise hearty blows. That being said, with any such movement she’s able to create and control the energy that makes up a cero. With it she can fire them from anywhere on her body much more rapidly and with ease, as well as manipulate them into any form she can desire such as a wave, a wall, or even a weapon. That flexibility enables her to use the technique as a means to support an offensive strategy or a defensive maneuver. There is a limit to the constructs she can make with the cero energy however, as they cannot span a distance, in any form of measurement that exceeds 30 meters. Of course, actual cero blasts are excluded from that limitation. Nonetheless, it takes control, effort, and energy to summon and maintain such a technique. Therefore, Buu is only able to sustain the technique for about four posts on her base form, five posts on her Resurrection, and six posts on her Segunda Etapa. She’s also only able to use the technique once per thread.
Bala: The counterpart to the cero, bala shots are typically smaller and weaker in comparison, but far faster. Much like her cero, Buu’s bala presents itself in a smooth pink hue. Easily able to fire them out of anywhere in her body, her attacks are still quite powerful in their own regard, so it wouldn’t be wise to try and test the chance at tanking them. Because how densely concentrated they are, her bala are well known for their ability to cause massive concussive or even piercing damage despite not possessing the true explosive potential of a cero. And of course, it's in their speed where they truly shine, being able to cross vast distances in an extremely span of time. Unlike her cero, Buu is able to create up to five of these and fire them at once.
» Special Abilities:
Transmogrification Beam: [forbidden during combat] By pointing with her fingers or her tail, Buu fires a deep pink beam of energy that effectively changes an object or a person from one thing into another. For instance, she may use it on a rock and turn it into a plane, to turn a little puddle into a glamorous pool, or use it on a tree and turn it into a mansion, among other things. The limits as to what she can turn a certain object into are simply left to her imagination. Though it can also be used on living beings [only on social threads] its use is highly limited [it can only be used on pcs with the explicit consent of its owner]. Due to the level of freedom the ability allows, Buu tends to use it as a means to further her scientific research or to simply increase her financial wealth. Any object that has been transmogrified by her can be returned to its original form. However there is a certain upper limit to her ability, as it still requires exponentially more energy to affect or change objects of extraordinary dimensions. For instance, while she could certainly change a bush into cotton candy, she can’t make a mountain range into a coin, or a button into an ocean.
Boogeyman’s Body (passive): As an extension of Buu’s own heightened form of regeneration , Boogeyman’s Body is a useful technique that helped her myth become as macabre as it was. Available only on her released states, the woman is able to extend, shorten, or reshape her body into ways that seem biological unlikely. For instance she may choose to extend an arm forth to facilitate an attack or defend. However any limb or body extension is capped at a maximum distance of about 100 meters. Likewise she’s capable of rather unorthodox feats like turning her head 360 degrees, giving herself abs or bigger muscles, or twisting her torso like a coiled spring seemingly without ill effect. More jarring however is her ability to create gaps within her body, like a hole in the middle of her stomach that can close at will. Constant use of the ability however, like any technique would cause a continuous drain of her energy.
- Spoiler:
Hide and Kill: On command, Buu kicks or punches the ground, extending whichever limb underneath the surface at the same speedy speeds at which she travels. The limb has the typically unsuspecting goal of surprising the target and act as a form of attack or defense, whether on it’s on or by acting as the means to deliver a more powerful form of attack. Like with any of her extensions, the maximum length the limb can travel is that of 100 meters.
Peekaboo!: By extending her neck, the Arrancar is able to have it travel at her movement speeds, and twist or bend in order to facilitate an attacking or defensive maneuver. Like with all her extending techniques, the limit is still set at 100 meters. And while there are benefits of seeing far away areas without moving relatively all that much, there are disadvantages. Although she can certainly run while doing so, Buu tends to try and keep her torso still most of the time. Because while running through the air or an open space may be easy, doing so throughout a city or in a thick forested area can present difficulties in trying to look at where the head and body are going.
Now You See Me, Now You Don’t!: Buu is able to retract her head into her body, given the look as though she was decapitated or didn’t have a head at all. Mostly done either for comedic effect or as an unorthodox form of defense, it has the benefit of shielding her face within her torso. However, any time her head is sunken within her body, she’s unable to use her eyes to see. At any time she’s able to either pop her head back out, or reform the shape of her head and her eyes out of anywhere in her body: like her stomach, her hand, or even her butt; talk about butt kissing. And yes, she can speak from any of those places as well.
Tag, You’re It!: By curling her body into a ball, Buu becomes a densely packed sphere of doom the size of a large beach ball, but much heavier. She’s able to fire herself away at extremely fast speeds, easily beyond what she can typically put out on a run. By packing her whole body into a sphere and going so fast, Buu is able to traverse largely unhindered through circumstances she couldn’t otherwise. For instance while she can still be potential hurt by attacks that could have hurt her before, the effects of things such as the burn of a flame or the energy of a blast are reduced by about 75%. More importantly however is that her density plus her speed create an incredibly powerful physical shot. It’s likely to cause great damage if it hits or parry rather powerful physical attacks such as a fist, or a blade.
Elastic Composition: Due to Buu’s heightened form of high speed regeneration, the Arrancar’s hierro is practically nonexistent by comparison. However as an extension of her Boogeyman’s Body, and perhaps even experimentation with the Hollow Gem, her body has an extremely malleable and elastic nature. Either on her command or due to extreme situational stress, her body can contort or be made to forcefully extend on impact. For instance a blunt hit, from say something like a punch or a kick or the blow of a hammer, would cause the area to extend. That elasticity would cushion most of the damage, having her body’s extension diffuse the force and at most simply push her back. However, it doesn’t work against all forms of damage. For instance, blunt force from an object or an attack much larger than her figure would of course hit her body entirely. Likewise, attacks that are concentrated in a way to be aided by localized pressure, such as a sword swing, would be able to perform unhindered as they regularly would. And energy attacks are also unaffected since their condensed energy typically makes their force spread out and expand far larger than her body size.
Dimensional Attack: A very similar ability to Janemba’s dimensional manipulation, its starts are so far back that its difficult to assert whether Buu experimented on him so he could have it, or whether it she did it to herself so she could. Essentially, she’s able to create small dimensional rifts or portals [only two] in her vicinity. The portals can be made to be very small, or be as large as half her body. By punching, kicking, slashing with a blade or firing an energy blast through one, Buu is able to have that effect or body part exit from the other portal. It is not instantaneous as a portal would be made where the fist or blast would exit from, before its closed. The portals don’t last very long, essentially just as long as the action is made before collapsing. They’re also not exclusive to her own energy, meaning she could theoretically make one over her stomach to let an enemy’s punch go through and out the other one created.
Hollow Persuasion: By creating a very small rift that functions as a sort of miniature Garganta, Buu sends in a considerably hefty wavelength of her energy. It has the effect of acting like a unique radio signal noticeably mostly only to the Hollow kind. In return, it has the effect of bringing forth countless of Hollow of different magnitudes of power. However the technique is not a form of bait, or even a call that relies on respect or loyalty. Instead, the nature of her energy acts as a form of persuasion as its easily noticeable as the dark energy belonging to the beast known as the Boogeyman within the darkest and grittiest places of Hueco Mundo. The amount of Hollows brought forth can vary depending on their strength. For instance lesser Hollows can typically swarm in at her command in the few hundreds. Menos typically answer her call in more than two dozen, Adjuchas at about six, and a much more powerful elite Adjucha, at simply one.
Though the power of the beasts vary, for the most part, the lesser Hollows have a tier roughly around 3-5, Menos around 2-5, Adjuchas around 2-3, and the elite Adjucha around a full tier lower than hers. Nonetheless, each beast is only capable of using the racially typical cero and bala, as well as the skills expected of them. Although it is highly unlikely, Buu may be able to call on stronger Hollow or Arrancar [PCs], though the individual has to be willing to accept the call as she’s unable to coerce them [must be given clear and explicit consent from the Arrancar/Hollow attempted to call on]. Due to the nature and magnitude of the technique, Buu can only use her Hollow Persuasion once per thread.
Hollow Experiments: While it’s true that every prey Buu had ever hunted was killed, she did experiment on quite a lot of subjects and continued to do so. After synthesizing the Hollow Gem and using its power to affect some of her victims, she became amused with the idea of further deranging the concept of a Hollow into a beast more fitting to her liking, and with undying loyalty to her. Though not many, the woman possesses a couple experimented subjects she can call on at her whim.
Leviathan: The Leviathan was a Vasto Lorde Hollow which became a sort of prize subject for Buu. She hunted him down after she became an Arrancar as a form of test of skill for her. He was among the most formidable of foes, and far too interesting a subject to experiment on to pass. With the Hollow Gem she tortured him and essentially broke him, altering his abilities to her liking, and bending his will until he answered solely to her. He stood tall at around 10 feet in height. He typically dressed formally, perhaps something to do with how the Hollow Gem screwed with his mind. The Hollow is able to manifest up to a dozen black tendrils like tentacles from his back, which extend out to try to snare, block, or impale. The length of each tentacle can be as short as a foot or as long as a 100. Their surface and length can be manipulated to be thicker or thinner, sharper or dull, or dense enough to hammer. His mouth can actually open farther back than it should, even past where the ears would go. Though typically concealed from sight, several rows of extremely sharp teeth can be shown and used at any time, with a look as though they were made to rip and slice through tough beings; because they were. Beyond biting, cero and bala can also be fired from there, or from his tentacle limbs.
The Leviathan was further manipulated with the Hollow Gem to fit Buu’s own unique desires. He cannot make conscious decisions beyond the orders Buu mandates. She also made sure to remove just about any special and unique ability he had as well. By trading in all of that, she was able to enhance his Hierro to be on par with some of the very best available. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to fully induce an effect that would allow him to enjoy the regeneration she had. But, at the very least, his tentacles are able to regrow and heal after damage, despite his body being unable to do so. The more important factor of her experiment however is its more hidden weaknesses and strengths. When faced against a Quincy or an Angel Iramasha, their attacks will tend to do a lot more damage to him. In turn, his attacks will tend to do considerably less damage to them. On the flipside, when against the Hollow kind or the Demon kind, their attacks actually tend to do a lot less damage to him, while his tend to inflict a lot more damage to them. And in an effort to keep updating her projects, constant experimentation and training ensure that the Leviathan always remains about one full tier lower than hers [i.e. 4-5/5-5].
Reapers: The Reapers were once a group of very powerful Hollow with names that no one remembers, and with goals that no longer mattered. They each held rather respectable levels of power, and after reaching the end of their kind’s evolution, they thought they had what it took to challenge the myth Buu had become; they were wrong. Among her millennia of life, the Reapers were certainly one of the most difficult and entertaining battles the Arrancar had to face. The fact that they had become experiment and her pawns rather than simply being consumed, was a testament to how surprising they had been. The Reapers work in a group of three, like the Hollows who challenged her hundreds of years ago.
Each of them was tortured and experimented on with the Hollow Gem for so long, they don’t even resemble what they once did. The three are about 10 feet in height, and are covered in a ripped sort of black cloak. Their bodies are greyed and decayed, and more closely resemble that of a body into decomposition. However they do not walk, but rather fly or hover. More importantly, none of them have eyes, since their sockets are empty and sunken, perhaps due to trauma inflicted by their mistress. To no surprise, they’re blind though their hearing is comparable to supernatural levels. More importantly, they were experimented on to have such an acute level of emotional sensing that they can locate just about any living being based on the kind of emotions they emit, or the kind of feelings or lack of they possess.
Wherever they walk, each Reaper projects an aura that extends about 20 meters in each way from where they stand. If two Reapers are present the maximum range is of 50 meters, and with all three, of 100 meters. Within that range Buu’s opponent will feel much colder. However, the temperature doesn’t change, as is not something that can be fixed by simply turning up the heat. It’s more in tune to watching something that creates shivers, even in the middle of summer. The Reapers are able to project dread onto their opponents. For instance, they can manifest some of the dark and sad memories of those around them to try and play mind games with them. If no real thought can be obtained, the Reapers can create something to haunt them with, even if its not factual. However, the creations cannot attack, but simply stand there to distract or be used as a way to unsettle the target. The Reapers on the other hand can fire their bala and cero like a normal Hollow would. And while they do not possess any real level of Hierro, their regeneration is extremely potent and fast, second only to Buu’s own. What’s more intriguing however that is, not only can the Reapers not think or even talk, since they’re commanded by Buu. They gave up so much from that to their physical look in exchange for something. It seems as though they keep regenerating and are essentially impossible to kill, but that is not true. The weakest of Quincy attacks or Angel Iramasha attacks will vanquish them upon being struck. Also, performing a good deed, such as healing an ally, would allow the person healing to strike down the Reapers for the duration of the next post if the hits are successful. Typically the Reapers are about one full tier below hers [i.e. 4-5/5-5].
Janemba: Janemba is easily and by far both the strongest opponent Buu had ever faced until then, and the strongest of her experimented subjects she can call on. Like on the world of the living, there were numerous rumors and myths about a variety of different monsters. Not many stopped to realize just how massive Hueco Mundo was, and how many beings truly inhabited. Janemba was among such dark and powerful denizens. Until then however, his existence was colloquially known as Lucifer. However with time, his territory and influence began spreading far too much, to the point that during one of her centuries of slumber, it began to encroach on her territory as the Boogeyman. By that time, both beings had become Arrancar, and it was obvious to the two of them that sooner or later they’d be pit against each other; Buu would not wait.
Having mastered the art of secrecy then, Buu started plotting as soon as she woke up from one of her slumbers to try and hunt down Lucifer. She wanted to find him, lay down a fair fight, and kill him. Despite his infamy and his power, he was far too big a threat to everything she represented. Besides, if his name wasn’t enough indication, he had a great fascination and respect for the Demons, thinking them as more advanced and more powerful than the Hollow kind. That was too much for her. To say their battle was difficult for both of them would be an understatement. The two brought each other to the brink of death multiple times, but there could only be one winner, and it was Buu. After her victory, she simply couldn’t stand the thought of letting such a powerful foe go to waste, and instead of consuming him, he became an experiment. After a few centuries of work and experimentation with the Hollow Gem, Janemba became Buu’s most powerful experiment, and her most loyal of servants.
When first called on, Janemba looks completely different than his former look, something like attributed to the experiments and reflecting of a form in his ancient past. He takes the form of a large fat blob Hollow, with a height of approximately 25 feet, and weighing more than 250 tons. He’s a big boy. And indeed he seems to act like a child; a very destructive child. While Janemba has a bit more free will and choice than the other summons, he is still completely subservient and under Buu’s command. He tends to display a very childish and playful attitude, though completely centered on destroying. In this form, he displays an incredible powerful physical form, easily able to cause craters of several dozen meters with a single punch. He also displays an incredibly powerful defense, thanks to his large sturdy body, allowing him to stop or tank powerful onslaughts with either his hands or body.
If however Janemba is hit by a sufficiently powerful attack of great magnitude, his form will begin to distort and his body change entirely. His height is decreased to about 7 feet tall, and his weight more evenly distributed to showcase musculature. In that form he truly resembles the Arrancar Buu defeated once. Beyond his menacing visage, he sports a powerful purple blade that seems to slash through almost anything on its path. More importantly however are the techniques Janemba employs which can be used in either one of his forms. More iconic is his dimensional manipulation. For instance at any point, Janemba is able to create two portals which are connected to one another. The portals can be as small as 5 inches in diameter or as large as 5 feet in feet in diameter. He could theoretically punch through one, and have his punch come out from the other portal created. The same is conveyed to things such as a kick, a sword thrust, or an energy blast. While the portals can be made and made to vanish really quickly, one can still see them before the action is done. However the portals aren’t exclusive to him, meaning he could theoretically create one to allow an enemy’s punch to go through and come out the other portal.
Beyond cero and bala, Janemba displays an amazing level of Hierro that’s as efficient and powerful as Buu’s regeneration. He’s able to tank, especially in his true form, physical and energy attacks most would certainly run away from or try to block. His swordsmanship was known through myth and legend as still is, as his sword is one of his most iconic means of dispatching enemies. Thanks to her experimenting however, Janemba is fairly weaker against attacking coming from either a Quincy or an Angel Iramasha. On the other hand he’s able to withstand attacks coming from a Demon or a Hollow with much more ease, as they seem surprisingly weaker to him. As far as his power, the strongest foe she ever faced was never allowed the chance to dip and be weaker than he was remembered. As such, being among her favored training subjects, Janemba is a powerful being one full tier below hers [i.e. 4-5/5-5].
Dark Abyss: Bringing a hand down, a powerful pink glow emanates from it as a structure rapidly builds off from the ground. The structure looks like a big, thick gate, that’s quite clearly meant as a form of defense. The structure looks to be a bright pink, with a black orb-like core. The magnitude of the gate spans to a height of about 500 meters, a width of about 300 meters, and about 100 meters thick. The material involved in its construction has not been clearly defined, but it is among the sturdiest forms available. Given the sheer size, Buu creates it a certain distance from her in order to block and shield her from a specific attack; and it does it incredibly well. Typically the technique is used solely against truly powerful attacks, as its effectiveness is wasted on anything less. The Dark Abyss deals with incredibly powerful physical attacks with relative easy, and it’s even able to ward off against truly decimating energy blasts; the strongest of those simply able to bend or deform it some. Due to the magnitude of the technique, using it in base incurs a two post cooldown before it can be used once more, though the increase in power in resurrection overcomes it.

VI. Sealed Powers
» Zanpakutô Name: Devoradora
» Zanpakutô Appearance: The sword Devoradora is relatively large, with a blade length of about 36 inches, or 3 feet. Though it is typically wielded single handedly, there’s just enough room for both hands. The bladed area displays a deep pink color, with the handguard showcasing a light purple hue instead. As for the handle portion, a white bone-like look adorns its length. More importantly, Devoradora is hardly ever seen being carried around by Buu. Instead, when necessary, she will simply open her mouth and pull the sword by the hilt as it emerges from her maw.
» Unique Power: Hunger. It's in the true nature of a Hollow from its inception to more or less be driven by the need to feed, evolve, and survive. However, for Buu it went well beyond that. Hunger was something that drove her very essence and took control of most of her actions, taking precedence over everything else and changing her persona. Her hunger however didn’t just stop at simply food. She craved innumerable ways to feed her insatiable appetite. Sometimes it was the need to destroy and pillage. Sometimes it was the need to kill or see others suffering in pain. Some other times it could have been food or carnal desires. Lately, and in her more stable personality, hunger can also be likened to her desire to be a better scientist and her plight for knowledge. In the end, Buu is a being that is in perpetual hunger, a state that continues to push her to achieve more.
VII. Resurrección
» Resereccion Name: Devoradora
» Resereccion Release Phrase: Sacia, Devoradora
» Resereccion Appearance:
Despite remaining the same height, Buu undergoes a vast number of changes. Her skin goes from the lightly pale yet fair smooth human look, to a light creamy pink. Her hair also changes from its deep red hues to a grayish white. There’s also the addition of an extra appendage, as the Arrancar now possesses a tail she can manipulate with as much easy and dexterity as her own hands. In length, the tail roughly extends out to a maximum of four feet if set straight. Even her clothes change completely. Regardless of her previous outfit, Buu is seen with white and slightly baggi pants. A black tube top covers only her bosom, and most of her arms, leaving areas like her shoulders, back, and midsection largely bare. Matching black boots compliment the look as well. There’s also a larger presence of jewelry as gold becomes common as her choice of belt, and as accents to her attire in the form of wrist and ankle bracelets, and even a necklace.
» Resereccion Abilities:
Hungry Beam: When on her resurrection, Buu unlocks access to what is potential one of her most iconic attacks. The Hungry Beam is a sort of evolution from her more benign Transmogrification Beam that turns the intended target into a dessert of her choosing. It essentially encompasses most of the drives of her truest of natures in one of her truest of forms; hunger. Buu is an individual that has always had an insatiable appetite for death, destruction, and food in general; particularly of the sweet kind. By pointing with any of her limbs or her weapon, she’s able to fire out a speedy energy beam of a bright pink nature. Unlike the base ability, the Hungry Beam cannot affect living sentient beams. Instead it is primarily made to target and affect energy attacks and constructs, as well as inanimate objects. Typically the beam is used as a form of defense, allowing her to change a large falling boulder into a donut, or a multitude of arrows into chocolate chip cookies. The more useful interaction of her Hungry Beam however, is against powerful energy attacks.
For instance, let’s assume Buu fired the beam against a blast that could have destroyed a large building, and turned it into strawberry shortcake. If she ate the strawberry shortcake, she would gain a portion of the destructive power of the blast. However, eating an attack after it has been made into a sweet treat doesn’t gift the actual attack, or its qualities and abilities. It simply radiates a fraction of its power potential throughout her body. This effect is governed by the difference in power between Buu and her opponent, which would be decided based on their tier. For instance, a successful use of the technique against an attack from an opponent whose tier matched hers would only allow her to store temporarily about 20% of its destructive force. Against someone whose tier is one below hers, the percentage stored is around 30%, and two tiers below hers, around 40%. On the flipside, trying to do the same against someone whose tier is one above hers would only allow her to store about 10%, and a mere 5% if they were at least two tiers beyond hers. That stored power however cannot be kept indefinitely or stacked for any too lengthy span of time. Instead, the stored power is released through the motion of a kick or a punch, or the swing of a blade or a blast. Essentially it serves to enhance the power already present in her own attack with the one currently stored. On certain cases however, Buu may choose to surrender the benefit of using the stored power as an attack but rather as energy nourishment. For instance, assuming she’s able to store only 10% of an attack’s energy, she’d be able to eat it and replenish that same amount to her energy reserves. She wouldn’t replenish 10% of her energy reserves, but rather replenish an amount that’s equivalent to 10% of the energy stored from the attack. Of course once that stored energy has been used, it is effectively used up.
Triple Dark Abyss: A much more powerful form of the dark abyss technique. Buu brings both of her hands down as pink and black energy begin to glow. Simultaneously, five dark abyss gates rise up from the surface with the same dimensions as the original: 500 meters in height, 300 meters in width, and 100 meters in thickness. The first gate looks essentially like the original. The second one still displays the largely pink color, but the orb is replaced with a black silhouette of Buu’s face sticking her tongue out. The third on the other hand shows the same face giving the middle finger. The technique serves the same function as the original, to defend, although it’s three times as powerful by comparison.
Each of the gates has slightly distinct functions. For instance the first is meant to tank the blunt damage head on, assuming it continues, the second reduces the attack’s power even more, and the last manages to disperse the pressure even further; essentially it weakens and stops most attacks. Physical attacks from the toughest of powers available in the verse usually stop by the second gate. Some of the most dangerous energy blasts, capable of leveling a large mountain range, destroying a large city or more, are usually held back by the third gate…seeing the last just bent or deformed some. If circumstances bring Buu against a slightly more powerful attack than even that, the structures would take the hit and disappear thereafter. Due to the sheer defensive power, and the great effort required to summon the Triple Dark Abyss, it is not something Buu can accomplish on her base form. Even if she were to use it on her Resurrection, the energy required to use it again would take at least four posts to replenish, and two posts if used during Segunda Etapa. Regardless however, Buu is only able to use it a maximum of two times on Resurrection, and three times, if on Segunda Etapa.
Blade Omnipresence: During her resurrection state, Buu doesn’t just wield her blade, she’s it. Normally she’s able to materialize and dematerialize her sword into her hands as she deems fit. However at her command, any one of her limbs can be reshaped to look, feel, and be used like her blade would. Be it one of her legs or her arms, or even her tail, it acts both a surprise and an intimidation factor. However she’s only able to manifest one sword at a time, meaning she can’t wield one on her left hand, and transform her right one into the sword as well. Beyond that, while the blade needs to be wielded on her hand or created from a limb in order to be used effectively, those are not her only points of use. For instance her chest could expand a fleshy protrusion forth that manifests as a blade. The same could essentially happen at any one area of her body. Granted save for dancing or spinning there isn’t much use to doing so as compared to a limb, but that’s her prerogative.
Revenger Death Bomber: Despite being possibly her strongest technique, its one of the techniques least used by Buu, and for obvious reasons. As a last resort, the Arrancar unleashes extremely large amounts of energy that drown the surroundings before piling up against and into her. Unlike the typical look of spiritual energy surging outwards, it seemed to be pulled in or sucked into her body. In just a second, Buu becomes a living bomb, the magnitudes of which are simply difficult to fully quantify. There are signs shown on her expressions such as a slightly larger, fuller figure, and veins showing at different areas. The more obvious sign however is the unreal level of energy building up within her. Once she explodes, the mushroom cloud created can reach a peak altitude of about five miles. On her surroundings, the two mile radius is incinerated by an extremely powerful wave of energy that burns and destroys almost anything on its surroundings. Even at a distance of about five miles in radius, structures such as buildings and houses will crumble at its force like simple glass against a thick brick.
Those with such an unreal level of power or means to somehow survive the onslaught to some degree, would find Buu is nothing more than hundreds of pieces scattered around where she once was. In fact, she resembles more the look of discarded pink bubble gum than anything else. Of course, given her astounding regeneration, coming back together and into her form is certainly something she can do. However there are plenty of reasons why she avoids the technique. For starters it forces the regeneration cooldown of such a magnitude on her, leaving her vulnerable against an opponent deemed worthy of such an attack. Beyond that, the technique can only be used once per thread. And what’s more, regardless of her healing, the technique is so incredibly taxing on her given its power that Buu weakens by one tier (i.e. from 0-3 to 0-4) for the remainder of the thread.
VII. Segunda Etapa (unlocks at 0-3)
» Segunda Etapa Name: La Dulce Muerte
» Segunda Etapa Release Phrase: La Dulce Muerte: Devoradora
» Segunda Etapa Appearance:
In her Segunda Etapa, Buu’s clothes stay largely the same, but her overall look does present a strikingly different visage. Her skin once again changes color, this time from its creamy pink, to a deep and dark purple. There also appear to be what looks like freckles of an even darker purple hue noticeable in areas over her forehead and around her shoulders. Also, there is absolutely no chance for Buu’s more stable persona to show up on this state. Therefore, unlike in her Resurrection, where the look could potentially change, in Segunda Etapa, her eye color is always a deep and bright red, with a pitch black sclera. Even her hair changes slightly, since though it keps a largely ashy gray white, it receives a noticeable darker purple tint as well.
» Segunda Etapa Abilities:
Planet Buster: Despite the name, the technique doesn’t literally destroy the whole planet. On her Segunda Etapa by raising a hand above her head, a small sphere of energy expands rapidly in a bright pink glow. The size of the sphere becomes rather astounding, with a diameter of about 1 mile. The attack is incredibly powerful and obviously large, easily capable of devastating vast mountain ranges, separate tectonic plates and force volcanos into activity. Within 100 miles the ground will simply be erased, aftershocks will expand far beyond that to create great damage at the continental level. The magnitude of such an attack makes it a daunting task to avoid, given that its power and size earn it the right to almost pull in anything smaller than it. By contrast, an extremely powerful force, much more than is required to stand up against, let alone block or tank such a cataclysmic attack. However, given the sheer drain and effort required in creating, controlling, and firing such a blast, Buu is only able to use the attack once per thread. What’s more, after using it she exhausts most of her energy reserves, leaving her very little to keep going. However with more training [upon reaching 0-2], the drain is lessened slightly, allowing her to keep just a bit more energy despite the still massive drain.
Quintuple Dark Abyss: Quite easily and by far the strongest and most durable form of defense available to the Arrancar. As the name implies, it creates not one or three, but five Dark Abyss gates. Their dimensions are just like the rest at 500 meters in height, 300 meters in width, and 100 meters in thickness. The look and design up until the third gate stay the same. At the fourth gate however, the black design reflects what looks like a released, standing over a Demon. As for the last gate, an odd symbol in the form of an M in cursive is stamped there. The function of the first three gates is still the same as those in its previous iteration. The first is meant to tank the blunt damage head on, assuming it continues, the second reduces the attack’s power even more, and the last manages to disperse the pressure even further; essentially it weakens and stops most attacks. The fourth however acts as an extra stand of defense by destabilizing the power or energy that somehow may have passed through. And the last one acts as a final, extra, and likely unneeded precautionary tool of defense. It allows any and all ongoing thread to be met by a true behemoth of defensive capabilities.
As is to be expected, her greatest feat of defense is capable of going up against some of the greatest feats of power the verse has ever seen. The technique is hardly ever used and for good reason, as there are very few beings with the toolset capable of producing an attack that can’t be met with any of her other defensive maneuvers. However, the Quintuple Dark Abyss deals extraordinarily well with true cataclysmic behemoths. In fact, attacks and blasts powerful enough to tear through the foundation of the surface, force volcanoes into activity, and threaten to eviscerate large countries or slightly more can realistically be blocked in a head on collision. For more powerful blasts, the likes of which are capable to shake the foundations of the world, and create large scale damage at the continental level, a head on collision would indeed test the limits of every single gate. While the attack would still be held back and stopped, the gates would be destroyed in the process in a sort of final stalemate. Of course, the massive amounts of energy required for such a technique make it impossible to be used on base, or even in her Resurrection. The Quintuple Dark Abyss can only be used in Segunda Etapa, and even when used then, it’s only able to be used once per thread, going as far as leaving her temporarily winded too as a result.
Sweet Boom: Holding out either of her arms, Buu uses either her other hand or her tail to support the former as the technique is created. As far as pure cero structures go, this one is about the strongest she can make without deviating from its idea. This cero has a deep pink core, about relative to the size of that of her standard cero. However, a much larger sphere, about half her body size encapsules in a hue that gives of a vibrant red. What’s more, throughout its circumference, a number of frequent black bolts of energy continuously seep out and surround it. In terms of power, her Sweet Boom is able to generate such a destructive magnitude as to outclass the power and speed of a Cero Oscuras. It stands to reason that the destruction left at its wake its unlike what most could fathom. Upon use, there’s a one post cooldown before it can be used again. That being said, Buu is unable to make such an attack on her Resurrection, let alone in her base form. Sweet Boom is therefore only accessible to her when her energy output exceeds a rather colossal threshold, like in her Segunda Etapa.
