"Hmm?"
Hearing one of the so-called mortal enemies of her family seem so opportunistic of fate had her curious, keeping herself propped up against the rest provided by the handrail. Her light questioning sound filling the air from her closed lips while she waited for her to continue. Mysteries were an interesting thing for her and even though this was going relatively well there was that undeniable thought in her mind about how this whole situation was a new playing field - a mystery for her.
The status of friend felt strange, for Chifuyu she was a natural cynic and cautious person. Friends didn't come easy regardless of how well she got on with people but there were exceptions, Kagami wasn't her mortal enemy or anything. Her father's feelings were his own, she had her own thoughts and a much less emotionally driven reason for seeing the Kokuryuteshi as enemies. They just had different ideologies which was the same for any side of a war really. Neither was evil nor good.
"Mmm, I do like you."
Her response was short, it was a pretty big compliment to hear from her no less and towards a royal of K-World but didn't necessarily say "friend" since there was probably only two or three people she'd give that title but a person she liked would substitute.
"I'd disagree on the note that you're not a sleeping beast, in a sense both Shadin and Kin are sleeping beasts. Two dragons like a certain story of old England, two dragons that never cease their fighting. So I suppose Kagami. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the other dragon."
Given her comparison to the old story that she doubted Kagami would know of, almost fifteen hundred year old history wasn't really relevant in the current era especially to people so young like them both. Still it was obvious she wanted to hear her companion's views on her father.
"Leaving it all behind? Not really, I've considered it a few times from a hypothetical standpoint but I've never really thought about it as anything other than that. No serious thoughts to execute on even though it'd be pretty easy to vanish."
It was a strange question, that surprised her. Leaving her to wonder why it came up but decided to entertain the conversation some more anyway while listening to Kagami's own thoughts of escaping and being free. She took a sip of her drink before she tried to respond to her thoughts. Trying to formulate them in the best way she could.
"It's just how things are I suppose, we don't get to choose who our family is... Even so if you wanted you could just run away - although that'd cost you the life you know and throw away your family and dreams which isn't really an easy choice."
Curious to see the extent of her desire to run away Chifuyu finished her drink and stood up to turn around and gesture her with a finger to follow along to a seat against a wall to let them sit down. Which she promptly did since it would help their height difference and let them stay comfortable.
