» Personality:

Determined: Alexander is a very determined individual. Once he sets his mind to something, he will do whatever he can to get what he wants. His goal in life is to become one of the giants and to matter in an uncaring world ruled by monsters. He views pain and hardship as tests to get him to that goal. Every throb of pain he feels pushes him to become tougher. Every bone that gets broken will just heal back stronger. Every time he is beaten down into the dirt just teaches him that only the strong survive in this world, serving to reinforce his determination.

No-Nonsense: Alexander doesn't like taking other people's shit. While he isn't erratic or unpredictable, he does have a very low patience and a bit of a temper. However, that isn't to say that he tries to destroy everything he doesn't like. Doing so often only sets one back. If something fails you, breaking it will only leave you with nothing. Before every decision, Alexander tries to think about how much doing something is worth and how it would affect him in the long run. He doesn't waste his time on useless actions, making sure every shot counts.

Power Hungry: Alexander is very hungry for more power. When he looks at the monsters who run the world, he sees that the world only respects power. So, if he were to gain enough power, the world would start to respect him. That's what he wants most: for the world to know he's there. He wants to be able to influence the events that happen around him. He wants to be in control. And, to him, the only way to do that is to become stronger, so he will do anything he can to do just that.

Conditionally Loyal: Alexander, despite his history, is a very loyal person. As long as someone doesn't make him angry, he will always keep a promise and fulfill his side of the deal to the best of his ability. He believes that one does not succeed by making needless enemies. One needs allies, both powerful and loyal, and to demand loyalty, one must give loyalty in turn.

Energetic: Alexander is quite an energetic person. He never likes to be doing nothing, seeing it as a waste of both time and effort, as effort never spent is wasted. He likes to be proactive about his problems and goals. He is also quite blunt, viewing avoiding something or trying to sugar coat it has less impact and can compromise your impact in the future.

Fun Seeking: Alexander, overall, is just looking for a thrill. He doesn't lean to either side of good or evil and doesn't care about world politics. Whatever he does, he just wants it to have an impact. He wants to take the world by storm and show them that anyone can rise. Sure, he had a rough childhood, but probably nothing like the worst. He wants to show the world that that doesn't matter. He wants people of any upbringing to rise and overthrow the old generation and make things a bit more exciting and a bit less dull and dramatic.

Bitter: Alexander is usually difficult to piss off. He'll brush off most offenses, thinking that it isn't worth butting heads with everyone. However, if someone gets under his skin, he'll remember it. He's good at keeping a grudge, and will often put on a fake smile until he can show them what's what. More often though, if the situation allows, he'll show them then and there to avoid the hassle of doing so in the future.

Fascinated by the Unknown: Alexander is attracted to things that are unknown to him. Whether it be a shiny new weapon or someone with a strange personality or power, he likes to check new things out. When he finds something or someone new, it's one of the few situations in which he could be described as clingy, as he's usually purposefully distant.

Tough but Nice: Alexander isn't a bad person, though he can come across as it sometimes. He's mainly out for himself, but he also yearns recognition and family, though he usually won't admit the latter. He holds the people close to him in high regard and will go out of his way to protect them. He doesn't have any extreme negative qualities about him; he just has a small sphere around him of what he considers valuable. The rest he doesn't particularly care about, though he isn't cruel or sadistic for the most part.


» History

Alexander doesn't know where he was born, having been dropped off at an orphanage in New York when he was about four to eight months old. He doesn't even know when he was born, opting just to use the turning of the years as his birthday. He never really cared much about his birthday anyway. One reason is that he never really got much for it, and the other is that he saw it as just a countdown till he was shoved into a cold and uncaring world that was beyond anyone's control.

Alexander had just as rough a childhood as one would expect from an orphan. He still doesn't if he was an orphan, but he always thought of himself as one, as any parents who would abandon him at such a young age were dead to him. Anyway, yeah, he had a rough childhood, but nothing too extreme for the most part. He was just as miserable as everyone else there. It wasn't until he was fourteen where his life took a turn for, at least in his eyes, the better.

Amidst his fruitless and incredibly dull hunt for a job, as everyone always seemed to be bugging him to do, he met a guy. Said guy was part of one of the New York mafia families, and just so happened to have a soft spot for abandoned children. Something about Alexander impressed him, and he invited him to hang out with him from time to time. Over time, things lead to another, and this guy put in a word for him. He was fairly low rank but managed to get him in.

And so, at age fifteen, Alexander was adopted into the family. They commanded absolute loyalty, something he readily provided in exchange for family and purpose. People back at the orphanage also started leaving him alone, something he quite appreciated. He was partnered up with the guy who brought him in as an enforcer in training. However, some time later, Alexander started having doubts about whether or not being a part of his new family was worth it.

He began looking at the world around him. His family was trying to reign over their city, just as they had for so long. But what was that worth? All it took to ruin it all was one superpowered freak throwing a tantrum, and in seconds cities could be reduced to dust. His family was only trying to comfort themselves by living in a world that had long been overthrown by a new generation. Sure, some of his family had developed powers of their own, including himself, but it was nothing like the monsters you heard about.

Alexander realized that his family thought way too small for his liking. They cowered in their corner of the world, clinging to their old ways. They stayed low and hoped nothing really scary noticed them. This wasn't what he signed up for; he didn't want to go from one meaningless life to another. Eventually, he got fed up and left. He didn't fight his way out, they weren't worth that much, though he may have killed a few people to shut them up while he left during the night.

Once more, Alexander was on his own, but he didn't feel lonely. He would prove that he didn't need to rely on anything but his power. He would never again hold himself down with worthless chains. He struck out into the world on his own, fighting tooth and nail to get stronger and stronger. He would use whatever he could to lift himself higher in the world. Nothing would stop him from clawing his way to the top.

No Pain No Gain: Alexander tends to ignore pain for the most part. He sure feels it, but when he puts his mind to it, he can conquer it. He views pain as important as the more pain you feel, the more likely you are to come out stronger from an ordeal. This allows him to push himself harder while ignoring the consequences, at least for a while.

Only The Strong Survive: Alexander, through his determination, tends to fight harder than others. This stems from his ideals that majorly value strength over other qualities. If he isn't strong, he'll die. Alexander always keeps this in mind while fighting. He always pushes himself beyond what he thinks he can do, constantly becoming stronger and pushing himself beyond previous limits.

Rage Fueled Brutality: Alexander finds that he can fight harder when he works himself up. A mind clouded by rage or other strong emotion can block out pain, keep one focused and even make one stronger as long as they can hold themselves in check. This allows him to sharpen his focus, accelerate his reflexes, toughen his body, and fight at full power constantly.



» Powers:

Malefic Energy: The energy which Alexander produces is strange. It's extremely unstable, constantly flickering between different frequencies, constantly changing. It only serves one purpose, and that purpose is to destroy. It holds nothing but raw power. It will attempt to destroy anything that it comes in contact with aside from Alexander himself, meaning he has to be careful while in combat around allies. It also serves to protect him as it will destroy anything foreign introduced to Adam's body, including any other form of energy.

Alexander uses this energy to bolster his own body. By infusing it into himself, his attacks gain violent and explosive force. He can seemingly cause something to tear itself apart by striking it as his energy will rip it apart from the inside. It makes energy attacks less effective against him, especially ones that try to enter his body. However, as it attempts to destroy any other energy it comes into contact with, it makes healing him a hassle, as his body will essentially reject the energy of anyone trying to do so.

Malefic Stream: Alexander collects his Malefic Energy and expels it as an unstable stream, acting much like lightning. This gives him a solid mid-range attack that can be used to clash against other continuous energy attacks such as beams and the like. It is fairly powerful, capable of tearing apart and destroying what it touches, be it physical matter or energy. He can adjust the flow of energy and with it the power and range of the stream but also the energy it drains.

Malefic Bolt: Alexander collects his Malefic Energy and expels it as one or more spheres that he can then remotely control. These spheres, upon contact with something, can merge with it and explode, tearing it apart and potentially destroying it in the process, be it physical matter or energy. He can adjust the size and shape of these orbs, and also how much power he puts into them.
