Steps and Thoughts

He hides his flames
so as to use them freely...

Takeshi gave the final swing, and his blade cleaved through the hollow’s mask. That hollow dissipated, cleansed of the sings brought on by the endless hunger that is the nature of hollows. He sheathed the blade, partially relieved and partially disappointed; relieved that the hollow had been as weak as it was, and yet disappointed that he hadn’t gotten more of a fight. Against enemies like this, his skills were going to stall and stagnate; thus was the downside of hiding his strength. The missions he was given didn’t push him or make him grow in skill or power. He let out a small sigh, turned, opened the Senkai Gate, and vanished into the blinding white light as he walked back to Seireitei.
Ito Takeshi was the 3rd Seat of the 7th Division of the Gotei 13; he was stronger than the seat spoke, however. He had reasons for keeping his strength hidden from his superiors, though he wasn’t sure if he actually was keeping it hidden half the time. The assignments he was sent out for were almost always too easy anymore though; they didn’t provide enough challenge to make him work. He needed practice, and so he’d have to go off and train again. Takeshi waved to some friends as he passed, and stopped when they walked up to him to discuss the prospect of lunch. He waved his hand as a response, making a comment about needing to take care of something but promised to catch up with them later.
The sun shone brightly on this day in Seireitei, and it felt good against his skin as he walked along one of the maze like passages. His vice captain had all but vanished recently, which would only mean problems in the end. He had been trying to avoid exactly that situation to avoid being bogged down by the restrictions that vice captains had to deal with, not to mention the paperwork. However, if that was what it came down too he wouldn’t argue with the decision; if he would best serve Seireitei and by extension his friends and comrades by being a vice captain, then that was what he would do. He shook the complex thoughts out of his head; he just wanted to enjoy the walk for the moment.

Shintaro sat on top of a rooftop, wishing how he had something to do. Though he wasn't part of the Gotei 13, as he was a rouge, he wished that he had the pleasure of doing missions for the Gotei 13 and going to the human world to hang out, but he was too lazy to go through the whole process, as they would eventually catch him. He was kicked out of the academy due to his stubbornness and ran away to train on his own, which he eventually liked to do. Since he was a rouge, he didn't have too many friends, and people would question his existence, often saying that there was no such person as Shintaro. He liked to think of himself as a shinigami who would cause people despair and then acted like nothing happened, which was always funny to him. If they caught him, he would just run away, never to be seen again, or so they thought.
Although he enjoyed the life that he was living now, a part of him wishes that one person would just talk to him, and understand what he was about, but the feeling was overtaken by his love of fighting. He loved to fight, even if he didn't know his opponent, he would have no other thought but defeating him. He was very confident in his fighting abilities, saying that one could beat him, even captains, but in the back of his mind, he knew that was a false statement.
As Shintaro looked up into the sky and started sighing, he noticed that he was about to fall asleep, which he did not want to do. Oh god, What to do?" Shintaro looked over the roof tops, making sure that he was not seen, and checked on the citizens moving on the walkway, and got an idea, which he devilishly smirked at. He checked his pocket, and found a slingshot, and a rock in a gutter and he pointed at a nearby shinigami. He named for his head and shot it with intense force, and quickly hid from sight

And so the projectile flew towards Takeshi, and found its mark.
”OW-SHIT!” Takeshi grabbed the back of his head as the stone hit the floor. He winced as he looked down at the stone, then around him, seeking the source of the projectile. He gave a frown; he had been sorting out his training idea when the rock had hit his skull. Based on the force, direction, and speed he knew that this wasn’t a random falling rock; someone had just taken a shot at him. He scoured the area around him with his eyes, but whoever it was that had fired the shot had dropped out of sight already. He rubbed the back of his head where he felt a small bump forming.
He grumbled slightly as he put quick thorught towards who would have been launching rocks at him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t place anyone at the moment that’d have an interest in doing such things.
”Oi!” Show yourself!” he called out. He continued to scan the rooftops for movement. He was dealing with a trickster, and because of that he doubted the person had left the area just yet. Most likely, the person was still nearby and on the watch for the next opening. If he wanted to avoid another rock to the skull, he would have to find this person. He wanted to get to training soon though, so the quicker he found this person the better.

Shintaro couldn't help but snicker at his prank, as he held his mouth to keep himself from laughing out loud. Shin loved doing that to people, but was kinda surprised that this guy actually noticed it was a person, as some people thought that it was just a sharp headache. He could sense that this guy was no pushover. Shin wasn't prepared for this guy to actually search for him, which kinda of worried him, but was also kind of excited to see what he was going to do.
Shintaro tried to wait for his next opening to throw another rock at the shinigami, but he was on high alert, looking for his attacker, which only made Shin snicker some more, only to have him sit back down and tried not to get discovered. "Come on, Just a little closer" Shintaro whispered to himself, waiting for his victim to get into the right spot.
"Right there" As Shintaro lined up his shot to throw another rock at the shinigami, He slipped on the down slope of the roof, making him fall into a basket full of supplies. Shin shook his head dazed as everybody watched him get up and dust himself off. he knew he was in trouble, but didnt care, as he wanted to see how this would play out
