Echoes [PRIVATE/Chiraisu]
Sun Sep 10, 2017 9:46 am
COVERT OPERATIONS LIEUTENANT
The sound of rain engulfed Henrex's ears, as he stepped softly across the wet terrain of one of Shadow Fall's strongholds. He could just barely hear the gentle tapping of his boots against the cold, hard concrete. In his left hand, a red umbrella rested, with the bamboo handle gently pressing against the fronts of his fingers, the pressure of the handle against his hand causing the appendages to begin to turn white. He sighed quietly as he continued to wander through the streets of a place so familiar, yet also so very foreign.
Here in Europe once more. The place where his life had began the spiral of change. Henrex's eyes softly grazed over the countless buildings and civilians, scanning and looking for one specific person in general. Ceal Maxwell, a girl that he really had not taken too much interest in until recent times. The girl that Arianda had brought up multiple times during his little adventure to sate his demon half, and gain a thorough level of control over it. It was something that he never really thought about. But then, he learned more about her from Arianda, curiosity got the better of him.
Taking a deep breath, before tilting the umbrella back slightly to push it further into where the rain was falling at, Henrex continued to walk through the semi-busy streets of Europe. His mind drifted back to the times when Arianda would talk about the girl so frequently, and now...there was barely anything that she would say. Perhaps she had just ran out of things to talk about? It had felt so strangely abrupt with how she stopped, something felt off.
'She is strange, but interesting from what I know. I suppose I'll only find more from meeting her.' He thought, before his eyes closed, and only one more footstep tapped against the ground. He stopped. Now standing on the sidelines of the streets, Henrex's hand softly drifted to behind him, before a bright flash of azure blue light floated from his hand, forming into a small chair. Henrex sat down, before sitting the umbrella in a small hole in the back of the armrest of the chair, before his eyes drifted towards the grey sky above him.
Void eyes stared at the raging sky above, seeing the flash of lightning, and hearing the rolling of thunder. Overtime, the rain began to pour even harder, and Henrex's head soon moved back to facing forward. Standing once again, taking the umbrella in his hand again, and letting the chair vanish into the prime essence that it had been before. Henrex's fingers readjusted their grip on the handle of the umbrella, before his feet started moving again, resuming his search for the Hybrid girl.
After a long while of searching, Henrex had really come to a simple, yet obvious conclusion -- try the house that she stayed in. At least...the house he thought she stayed in. So, after around ten minutes, he found himself standing in front of the house. Raising a hand from his side, Henrex softly knocked on the door.
The only thing that now remained in the streets of Europe -- were the echoes of his feet, and the roar of the storm.

Waiting was most likely one of the most patience-trying things that the universe could have ever created. Along with standing still, that was annoying too. Henrex was patient, yes, but when it came to things like this, he couldn't sit still. He knew that the palace was big, and it only hosted two, but it still got to him...somehow. He needed to distract himself. His foot softly tapped against the ground, his head turning from the ground, before to the sky. It wasn't long after he knocked and rang, that there was a voice that called out to him, notifying him that they were on their way, before hearing a large amount of thudding against the ground, likely the sound of near-bare feet against the ground.
Henrex breathed in sharply at this, slightly worried for the safety of who was there. Taking the time to shake some of the remaining rain droplets off of the head of the umbrella, before closing it, and pulling out the Container. What Henrex did next was essentially 'digitize' the object, which caused the item to break down into data, before storing that same data within the Container, causing Henrex to have a lot more availability when it came to the items he carried on him, outside of his usual weaponry. This was something that was rather difficult with the simple grey kimono that he had on at the moment, so everything was currently in the Container.
Hearing the clattering of items being moved, feet slamming against the ground, and a large amount of shuffling from clothing. Soon after, he heard the sound of a doorknob being turned, and the creak of the door -- signifying it's opening. Before he could say a single thing, Ceal talked like there was no tomorrow, raising a bit of humor in the Covert Operations Lieutenant, as a smile bloomed on his face. All the while, the corner of his vision caught something...off, about the Human girl. His eyes shot up to where he had seen the momentary twitching, seeing two triangle shapes on the top of her head. Having seen something similar on Mirja, Henrex's first guess was some sort of anthropomorphic ears, which would also prove the movements of said shapes beforehand.
After Ceal had finishing blurting out everything on her mind, causing a small laugh to come from the Hybrid, before nodding his head softly, his hands twitching lightly from the situation currently presented to him. It was quite the large bit of silence before Henrex began to speak.
"Y-Yeah, the rain is really nice. It feels amazing when the temperature is low, and the rain is cold instead of warm. Water in general is just...amazing." He said, one of his hands softly grabbing at the other.
Henrex let out a shaky chuckle, before taking a deep breath, and slowly stepping up to the entrance-way of the door.
"I'm not here for Arianda, actually. I'm er...here to see..." He trailed off, stumbling on his words. Something was wrong. This wasn't like him. He never stumbled on his words nowadays. There were very few instances that he ever did, and he rarely found himself in those kinds of situations. Why now, of all times, did he feel so unsure and so reclusive with speaking? Words rarely were this elusive towards the Raven -- but, nevertheless, he managed to wrap his head around what he was wanting to say.
"...W-well, you."

DARK WINGS, DARK WORDS
It seemed that Ceal was mildly surprised that he was here to see her. Although, mildly was putting is loosely. He could tell that she was completely and utterly shocked from that. Perhaps she didn't get many visitors? The thought of that was...somewhat sad, in actuality. But, it didn't seem to really bother Ceal all that much. However, her response was also briefly introduced by three twitches of the strange triangle-like appendages on her head. It was something that was incredibly small, and normally unnoticeable, but Henrex's eye was keen. He could see them out of the corner of his vision, albeit he didn't -- and did not plan on it, at least at the point -- bring up the subject of those twitches.
But, as she finished, the door creaked open more, with Henrex able to register that she was inviting him in. Slipping off his shoes, and leaving them next to the door outside, Henrex quickly stepped in, setting the now, mostly dry umbrella next to the door, before taking a look around. It had been quite a long time since he had visited Arianda, or even her palace in Europe -- to which, he did feel slightly guilty for -- but, he had work that needed to be attended to. He was able to clearly notice the immaculate nature of the entire place, no doubt Ceal's work. To this, he smiled, before turning to face Ceal, now being able to see her fully.
'I can't see any reason not to want to talk to you, Ceal.' The male thought, before his attention was driven back to the girl.
She certainly had an odd choice of attire, with a sweater stopping at her waistline, long socks, as well as the hood that was covering whatever was twitching at the top of her head. However, he was once again taken off guard from the sudden explosion of words from Ceal once again, causing him to smile at her once more. As she asked him if he was thirsty, as well as quickly listing off different types they had faster than the bullet of a gun. Henrex's hand slowly raised from his side, before placing itself on the head of Ceal, petting her head slowly, before the hand drifted down to her cheek, with his thumb gently pressed against her cheek, then moving back to his side.
"Earl Grey would be amazing, Ceal." He said, his voice as soft as a harp.
After he said this, Henrex's head began to turn, his gaze returning to the surroundings. He really was impressed to see Ceal so dedicated to her work, that she had managed to go to this scope. But, his mind wasn't able to focus on something like that for long. His mind kept going back to the twitches that he had seen on her head. As Ceal was most likely going to immediately zip off to make the tea, Henrex would silently move with her, wishing to aide her in making the tea as much as he could.

DARK WINGS, DARK WORDS
Henrex couldn't help but smile.
It didn't matter that Ceal was rambling, or anything like that. He didn't mind that kind of trait, if he were to be honest. He enjoyed that trait from her. It made him want to stay around her, and listen. It made her sound, and even look more adorable when she got all embarrassed over it. It was something that he really liked about her, for some reason.
The moment that he was inside, she quickly swooped around him, snatching the Container from his side. However, as she went for his Zanpakuto, Henrex immediately sent it off to his Inner World, not wanting her to break her arms from trying to pick it up. Nowadays, Henrex had lost control over the ability that his Zanpakuto had, where the weapon did not allow itself to be held by anyone other than Henrex. If anyone had tried to pick it up, or take it from him, they were all met with an item that weighed an entire planet.
Sparing the blonde girl from that fate, Henrex was quick to respond to this by reaching up to her head, and under the hood she wore, softly ruffling her hair. After he did so, he watched her adjust the hood, his head tilting slightly at the notion, before dismissing it and following Ceal to the kitchen. As he looked around the kitchen, admiring the rather different appearance as to what he normally saw, before turning to Ceal, who had pulled out a seat for him.
"T-Thank you, Ceal." He said, stammering slightly at the sudden gesture.
Sitting down soon after she pulled the seat out, and watching her pour the tea, feeling a bit guilty for being unable to help her with this. So, as she finished pouring, Henrex soon pulled out another seat for Ceal to sit on. After he did so, he pretty much repeated her actions. He got a cup out, and poured her a cup of Earl Grey, before smiling and softly patting the seat next to him, then taking a sip from the cup.
"Come on, sit down with me, Ceal." He said, smiling.
If she did, Henrex would find his next action easier. If Ceal did sit down, Henrex would softly wrap an arm around her, before putting a gentle kiss on her forehead. If she didn't, Henrex would just use his Body Manipulation to extend his arm and gently pull her over, before doing the former. After he did, he found his cheeks flushing the color of red, before turning away.
'Gods, Arianda's rubbed off on me. I can't believe I did that!' He thought, before turning back to Ceal, his face still mildly tinged with red.
"You did good, Ceal." He said, before reaching under the hood and softly ruffling her hair again. "This is amazing."
Taking another sip from the cup of tea, Henrex still smiled as he waited for Ceal.
