CHILD OF THE MOUNTAIN

HENREX ASTILLON

A Song Of Storms [Panama] [Operation Devil Wall] [Gotei/Monsuta] 6EdIfMt

'Enough is enough. A move from us is long overdue.'

This was the only thought of the current situation that lay before him. Hovering several hundred meters above Panama, and staring down at the carnage that lay before him, Henrex Astillon softly exhaled, before four pale fingers would wrap around the handle of his Zanpakuto -- currently in the form of a katana. The fingers flexed slightly, releasing and reapplying their grip on the handle. The Gotei had finally made their move -- against the Monsuta. It wasn't entirely surprising, given the organization's reputation from it's previous leaders and it's previous actions.

After Henrex's extremely short time of being a member of the Monsuta, he had swiftly done research on the organization -- as to better understand the hate that had come towards them. What he found was something that both surprised him, and made him wary of the place. The Shinigami Archives held a plethora of information, much of which was something that Henrex did not want to discover. But now, he held this knowledge, and now he was here. His head softly rose from below, to look into the distance, before then tilting his head upward to look at the sky. Cirrus clouds slowly floated by overhead, the paper-thin fluff looking as much like cotton candy as any other day.

His head once again tilted down towards the ground, watching the clash between the Monsuta and Gotei members. He had been standing there for long enough. It was time to act. And so, Henrex began his descent to the ground. The two black protrusions flapped softly as his feet eventually touched the ground, hand moving back towards his sword once again, Henrex began to step into the fray.

"This will be the Monsuta's curtain call."

The clash didn't stop as the Lieutenant of the Covert Operations squad approached them. In fact, they were completely unaware of him even being there. The spiritual pressure in the air was enough to mask his own through the fighting.

The grip that had been seemingly playing at the handle of the weapon soon hardened, and his eyes lost their glum, lax mist -- being replaced by a gaze purely engulfed by focus, and determination. His body shot forward at mach speeds, entire body appearing as a blur. By the time that he had stopped, his sword had been drawn. As he reached the end of where he had been traveling, the blade was soon sheathed. The instant that it was, lightning flashed in the fray of the Monsuta's soldiers, aiming to shock and fry the internal systems of the men that stood against the Gotei.

Many of those men would most likely end up dropping to the ground, dead due to the sheer level of voltage that he had introduced to their systems. As this were to occur, Henrex's hand would slowly raise to the sky, his hand closing into a fist.

Small sparks of lightning flashed on his hand for mere moments, before the real show began. Clouds began to gather above him, turning into grey and black blobs in the sky, the area around Henrex and the soldiers darkening in the span on minutes. Lightning flashed and screamed as it traveled. The heavens rumbled loudly as thunder rolled throughout the sky. Soon, droplets of wetness struck the earth at random, brief intervals.

In the span of ten minutes, there were hundreds of raindrops falling per minute, thousands per second. All who was in the area were swiftly drenched under the relentless torrent of water from the heavens. Amidst all of this chaos, there was one sound that sung clear above it all.

It was a shakuhachi, playing a song. A song of storms.

First mana. Then someone else, and now the gotei? They all had come to fight and cause trouble, trampling upon his people, destroying their pride to the point that even him an unfeeling block of metal had felt the darkest of urges light him up. As the male raised his hand he merely snapped once. Yet as his fingers came together the flames that billowed across the surface had become enough to completely shatter and destroy hundreds of gotei members.

Oh their screams would fill the air as they had been charred to husks and the leader of the monsuta raised his hand and made a fist. His eyes glancing out at all of those who wished to fight his org and clash with the rise of the monsuta. Soon as the very air heated up within the surrounding half-mile it would turn into a melting pot. The ground had been burnt to the point that it became magmatic. The air was covered in flames as the male looked out across the expanse at those who wished to oppose him.

In his heart there was no stopping what would happen next. There would only be the aftermath. He was done trying to appease and please the world by staying in the midst of his organization, protecting it from others. No, he was going to tear a bloody path to the midst of the gotei, he would tear down their armies, smash their allies and let them cry as a sea of blood drowned all of them. Even now as the male raised his fist in the air, hundreds of thousands of dead-guard rose from the tree’s their bodies altered by tora lionus roaring in rage as the begun to descend upon the gotei members, slaughtering every single one of them before they rushed towards the wall that was being erected.

If one went down, ten would replace them. If ten went down, a hundred would replace them, if a hundred went down a thousand would replace them. The endless tide of bodies continued to smash into the wall as right now the leader of the monsuta raised his hand and allowed for the heat surrounding him to increase manifold as the friction in the area was increased to the maximum. His body moved through the sea of flames which followed him. As with every step the ground a half-mile infront of him would heat up cherry red and then burst into flames.

Behind him a sea of glass would be left as the earth was beginning to cool down. Yet as the leader of the monsuta looked forward there was no joy or emotion in his eyes. No these were the eyes of a murderer. Those that came to oppose him would swiftly be crushed and shattered as the male begun to snap. Each snap would leave a mound of shinigami burnt to charcoal.

Yes these snaps would punctuate the sea of battle and leave only dead bodies in their wake, as he made his way towards the wall. You see azuma had no intention of merging mexico with the southern area’s of the monsuta’s rule. However, his home had been attacked once more and now even if it was but a corridor the man was going to tear a bloody trail through the defenses of the gotei and connect these two together because if his opressors tried to form a cage to hold him in he was going to tear that wall down.

Soon azuma’s voice broke above everything and the male said in a tone that was dead, there was simply a bloodlust left behind that spoke of the unspeakable things he was about to do as he raised his hand sideways.

”..Shikai. , Consider this your obituary. “

Azuma’s words accompanied him raising his hand as from it he formed a cero without a mask. An achievement that was only possible because of how intune he was with his hollow spirit. This orb would fire across the landscape however it wouldn’t be the blast that caused danger as the beam slammed against the wall. No it was that that entire line would burst rapidly into flame with the introduction of spiritual friction. Causing the cero and anything within a quarter mile of it to completely be baptised by fire, the flames smashing and killing even more gotei operatives as the leader of the monsuta spoke in a thunderous tone.

”..Because as the leader of the monsuta i sentence you all to DEATH!”

BLOOD THICKER THAN WATER

HENREX ASTILLON

A Song Of Storms [Panama] [Operation Devil Wall] [Gotei/Monsuta] 6EdIfMt

“Though the man above might say hello, expect no love from the beast below”
― Doctor Who, The Beast Below (Episode)

The lips of Henrex slowly broke from the head of the shakuhachi, abruptly stopping the song that he was playing. His head lifted up, looking slightly above the heads of the mixed Monsuta and Gotei members. The storm raged as he felt the burst of spiritual power, which caused him to slide the shakuhachi into his shihakusho. Closing his eyes and concentrating around him, he was able to quickly sense the burst of spiritual energy that was coming for them. It was strong, and filled to the brim with rage. Henrex's eyes narrowed as he quickly leaped into the sky, with another one of his Zanpakuto's techniques being activated and used.

Henrex's body flared with bright white light, before shooting into the clouds -- in a sense performing a reverse thunderbolt -- and floating aimlessly in the clouds that surrounded a massive portion of Panama. His eyes softly gazed at the ground below, staring at the presence that was rapidly approaching the front lines, slaughtering everyone in sight. From the limited information he was able to gather from what he saw, he knew who this was. Azuma Lazarus, the new leader of the Monsuta. Henrex groaned in annoyance, knowing that he was not going to have a good time with this fight. But, he trusted his abilities -- he could at least put up a good fight against him -- hopefully.

'I had to get him, didn't I. Well, my luck has officially gone majorly downhill.'

Henrex watched with a blank face as the man ran through his allies as if they were nothing, cutting them down and causing more men to come to his aid. Closing his eyes and allowing his wings to spread, before gently pressing two fingers to the back of his left shoulder blade. The Cardinal Seal burned it's flame-like color, before spreading it's cloud-like markings all over his body, and his eyes closed in response to the activation, before opening them once again, revealing his right eye to have dimmed to black. Turning his head to the left and right in quick succession, and the very same eye that dimmed to black suddenly had a flash of yellow from the iris.

The two protrusions that had been spread out wide before now snapped to close, sending thousands of bladed feathers through the air, down to the troops that clashed, while purposefully avoiding the Monsuta's leader. As this were to happen, Henrex's hand would softly slip into the back of his shakuhachi, before his finger gently pressed the button on the Sorting Sword, Jounochi.

The male's eyes slowly dimmed to the color of purple, and a faint hissing came from the blade that he just turned on. Henrex's mind became clear, and he could feel the effects of Jounochi initiate. Letting out a deep, calm breath, Henrex quickly made his way towards his opponent. His body shot towards the ground, falling at high speeds while his body became coated in lightning. His body soon exited the clouds, and there was none that could see him. Two blades slid out of the sheaths, and Henrex shot downward even faster as the portion of his Cardinal Seal kicked in, boosting his speed even further. Two words of the Japanese language left his mouth, not higher than a mumble.

"Ochiru kaminari!" He yelled out, his voice drowned out by the sheer volume of the storm.

Crashing Thunder, the words translated to. They perfectly described what was about to happen. As Henrex's body neared the ground, the lightning bolt surrounding him crashed heavily into the ground, in the middle of a massive crunch of enemies. Lightning streamed everywhere, striking everything that it could touch. Meanwhile, the man that executed such a technique was moving the instant his feet touched the ground, his mind engrossed by the high that he was obtaining by moving so fast.

His goal was simple.

He did not want to stop.

So, as his swords now resided in his hands, Henrex shot through the waves of the Monsuta's allies, cleaving and slashing through everything that was in his path -- all the while, the heavens raged as thunder and lightning rumbled and screamed across the blackened sky. Hundreds fell to the blade of the Raven, only to be replaced over and over again. The same thing would happen with the members of the Gotei. And then, the voice of the Monsuta's leader burst through the chaos. The word that left his lips sent shivers down Henrex's spine.

Shikai.

The first release of someone of his power was sure to be something that would cause panic within the masses. As this were to happen, the feeling of immense heat began closing in on his right. Henrex's foot dug into the ground, before kicking off to the left and then upwards. Taking flight once more, Henrex watched in awe, horror, and fascination as the man formed a Cero. The hollow energy was prominent in the attack, giving the confirmation that this man had indeed fired off the trademark skill of the Arrancar and Hollows.

His body soon began to move towards this man, sensing the twin energies within his system -- Shinigami and Hollow. They were so finely merged that it would take someone with immense deduction skills to truly tell the difference. But, Henrex was well versed in the differences in spiritual energy. So, the male began his descent towards Azuma. Landing around two or three feet away from the man, Henrex's eyes shimmered as he gazed at Azuma Lazarus, before nodding softly in his direction.

"Very impressive."

Henrex's arms draped to his sides, his Zanpakuto flashing with the white bolts of lightning that connected to the performance of above. Henrex had to give quite the ounce of respect towards the man, as he was able to have such a union with his Hollow -- to be able to fire a Cero without a mask, and to inflict such damage with the aforementioned. However, that was soon lost with the next words that came from the mouth of the Vizard. Words that made him physically cringe, and make him feel genuinely sick. But, at the same time, they also were some of the most entertaining words that he had heard all day.

Sentencing him to death...

Those words were ones that he had heard so many times back in his youthful days. Having them being used nowadays were giving the Raven such a large amount of conflict. It was irritating, hilarious, and cringe-inducing all at the same time. So, as his teeth slowly ground against one another, Henrex's head softly tilted to the side, before snickering at Azuma.

"Sentence me to death, hm? You have no idea how many times I've heard those gods damned words. It's so disgusting to hear that nowadays," Henrex said, his eyes narrowing in disgust.

"If you want to kill me, then come at me, Azuma Lazarus."

As he said this, Henrex's posture shifted slightly, allowing him the clarity of hearing once again, as the hissing in his ears from The Sorting Sword was becoming unbearable. With his symmetry achieved once again, Henrex awaited the man's response.

Azuma glanced up at the clouds, his expression unreadable. He knew there was an annoying little fly moving through the masses of dead-drone guards, slaughtering the mindless beasts. However soon as he heard the mockery that left henrex’s mouth, his body vanished at rapid speeds. Infact it’d be so fast that there’d be a lag between the first step azuma took being registered by most forces, and his body that had appeared in front of henrex at such speeds that it might have been mistaken for teleportation.

Henrex would probably have been able to get halfway through his statement about how azuma’d have to come get him if he wanted to kill him, before azuma’s body had been in front of him, his fist firmly imbedded in henrex’s abdominal region. There’d be no warning, and it’d most likely be extremely hard for the raven to avoid this initial assault. If this wasn’t bad enough, the entirety of azuma’s body was thrown into this punch, all the muscles in the back of his shoulder, his core, and in his arm all worked together to deliver a punch that was potent enough to cause everything within two miles to be blown back by the impending shockwave.

Again though, because of timing it’d be highly likely that the attack would manage to hit. And when it did the calamitous force of his kinetic energy would ripple through henrex’s body, with such force that if one would watch the raven in slow motion they would see a ripple start from the twisted skin surrounding azuma’s fist, rippling outwards and then forward to his arms and sides, and eventually causing all the males skin to push towards the air behind it on his back, a massive blast of air appearing behind henrex with enough force to completely eradicate any tree’s or standing structures in a half mile behind the raven.

If Azuma missed, henrex would get to see the might that backed up azuma’s statement. The ground itself would be ripped up like an earthen wave, simply pure air pressure from the product of his speed and his already above par strength would be powerful enough to terraform the landscape surrounding them, causing the tree’s, the earth everything within two miles of that fist would be thrown upwards. Steam rose from azuma’s fist. Blood dripped from his muscles as the force of his blow was enough to inflict self-injury upon the leader of the monsuta.

Why had he used so much power, so much strength that he’d harm himself? It was actually quite simple, his life did not belong to him; it never had. It belonged to the monsuta, and to protect it he’d be more than willing to destroy himself, to rip himself to shreds. He would fight even if it tore himself apart, even if he had to fight a being on par with the god’s and do so until his own demise, he would do so. This was his home, his mission, the sole thing he had ever known. In the face of such single minded determination and willpower, a small amount of pain and blood wasn’t even on his radar, it was like comparing the light given off from a candle to that of the sun. It was insignificant to the point of irrelevance.

Azuma didn’t need to don his mask to use his hollow skills, nor to pull out the power of his hollow. Which was why at this moment as the leader of the monsuta either as he missed and vanished in a flash step to appear in the sky, or as his fist collided with henrex with nothing short of meteoric force, he’d eventually end up standing in the midst of the air, as he looked forward and sighed, steam billowing from his mouth. His lips parting as he moved his hand to the side, and said in a crystal clear voice.

”If you had left us alone, i would have left you guys alone. However, it’s far too late for that now.”

With those words, there wouldn’t be any flashy increase in power, nor a flashy transformation that overtook the monsuta’s leader. Instead the ground would sink within a miled of azuma by 10 feet, causing a rumbling in the earth. The sky would be covered in static as the full brunt of azuma’s unruly spiritual pressure bore down upon henrex. However this would be more than merely his spiritual power, no it was everything that embodied Azuma Lazarus. His bloodlust would bear down upon henrex like a mountain with it’s icy vibe. Azuma’s will, his single minded and unshakable determination would slam down in this mile radius upon henrex. It would most likely feel to the man like the sky itself had collapsed upon him.

This was the will that allowed him to battle mana without blinking an eye. The will that led him to taking over the monsuta’s mantle. The iron will that would allow him to fight even if his body was being constantly eroded, exploded, lit onfire, under any pain, no matter how much. No matter the odds, no matter the situation. Even if the world turned against his man, he would fight it. He would shoulder the burden for his comrades. He would light the way for the rejects that he led to follow. If armies went against him he’d carve out a path of blood.

Nothing, absolutely Nothing, would stop azuma. He was unbreakable, he was unshakable. As the anger rumbled within him, as the gravity of this situation settled upon him, he’d take another breath and look forward single out henrex wherever he might be. His words would echo quite plainly, because it would be the honest truth.

”..If you wish to stop me, you will have to kill me, i hope you know that.”

Azuma shifted his head from one side to the other, the sound of bones popping audible even now as his eyes closed, another exhalation leaving his lips as he said one last statement his eyes opening slightly, his irises hidden by his lashes.

”Because for my home i will carve a path to victory.”

THE LIVING TEMPEST

HENREX ASTILLON

A Song Of Storms [Panama] [Operation Devil Wall] [Gotei/Monsuta] 6EdIfMt

Rude, but not unexpected.

As Henrex was speaking, he could see that Azuma was not having it. Instead of standing there, and listening, Azuma charged at him. While he was moving fairly fast, Jounochi was his ace in this situation. His movements were able to be seen, even to the most minute detail. However, it did not make the jump any less surprising. As the man curled his hand into a fist, and launched the strike at Henrex, his body instantly shot to the left, his eyes glued to Azuma's hand the entire time.

There was nothing he could do to prevent what happened next. While he was quick, he had moved just the slightest bit too late, and the chunk of his side that now flew across the lands of Panama. Blood drizzled from the new wound, and the moment that Henrex's feet next touched the ground, he was moving again. Constantly moving, with his eyes now focused on both the form of the Monsuta Leader, as well as the destruction he caused. It was nothing short of...boring. It presented the simple question, why destroy the land that you're meant to protect? It made no sense.

'How barbaric.' He thought.

So, with a heavy sigh, Henrex flicked his sword arm slightly, while a hand still rested on the wound that Azuma had made. Breathing in sharply as he quickly sent a burst of electricity through his body to rapidly increase the rate of which his body repaired itself, allowing him to both use his natural regeneration and the body's natural healing process in order to cause little time to pass for this wound to be restored.

However, what came next was something that was at least mildly interesting. Instead of a flashy release, like his Shikai had been, there was a further enhancement of Azuma's spiritual pressure. He could feel more of the man's mindset and goals press upon him. His determination, his blood lust, all of it. It was all so very dull, and boring. This style had been known to Henrex Astillon for so long, that the script was so easily readable. So, as the male found himself listening to more of the words that came from the lips of the Monsuta's weapon, Henrex was quick to find the words that came from him next.

"Your work is very, very obvious." He murmured, before shrugging. "I suppose you embody a primitive part, but nothing is outstanding from the rest. "

As he said this, Henrex flicked his wrist once again, and lightning crackled on the shining metal of the blade of his Zanpakuto. Bolts of lightning crashed from the storm, and thunder rumbled across the heavens as the storm worsened. More lightning zipped across the blade of the man, before his arm swung in an arc in front of him, sending multiple orbs flying in the area around Azuma. None of these would hit him, but they would all simple rest in the area around him.

"Very well. A violent composition, then." He said.

Then, three words left the lips of Henrex. Words of power, that would allow him to streamline towards his goal.

"Crash down, Raiu." The male commanded.

The very instant that those words were said, Azuma would be able to feel -- no, smell -- one thing. The scent of ozone leaked into the area, filling the entire area. Thunder roared, and lightning screamed across the clouds as storm continued to rage above them. As this happened, a bolt would course from the sky, down to the blade of Henrex's Zanpakuto, before the lightning would course across his arms, sharpening his fingers and charging them with lightning.

The air that gently brewed around them began to whip and whirl, creating a violent gale as the Lieutenant of the Stealth Force released his Shikai. His eyes remained the color of purple, and the markings on his body shimmered as the air began to whip around Henrex's body. As this finished, Henrex's raised a single hand from his side, before clenching it into a fist. The orbs around Azuma would spark, before electrical currents would begin to surge around, connecting to the other marks.

As the final current set itself to connect all of the marks together, causing lightning to swirl into the center, and cause a massive lightning tornado to form in short time, before dissipating. This would be something that would have the potential to cause Azuma's movements to be much more...spastic. Through the enhancement of energy through Static Flow, Henrex would attempt to cause Azuma's body to slowly begin to shut down on itself. This would not be a short process by any means. But, if Azuma did get hit by it, he would find himself feeling a lot more sluggish in about ten to twelve posts.

After this, Henrex's body would launch forward in the blink of an eye, both of his hands gripping his sword as he made a large overhead strike. If Azuma were to attempt to tank this, he would be able to feel and even hear the howling wind that was gathered around his blade, which would cause Henrex's attacks to have a much larger sense of strength behind it. After this strike, Henrex's body would disappear in a quick Shunpo, reappearing a few feet behind where he had originally been, before his wings hurled themselves forward, sending hundreds of bladed feathers at his opponent, all of them tinged with lightning.

This would increase the speed, as well as the general sharpness of the feathers even further than before. After this, Henrex quickly dived downward, before his feet connected with the ground, and there he stood, awaiting Azuma's response.

Even as henrex moved, azuma’s golden gaze tracked him. His eyes glinting hauntingly against the contrast of the smoldering earth. He hadn’t moved yet, after making his declaration. Instead, he was waiting. Listening to the minute sounds that rippled through the air. He ruminated on the beginning of his own life, merely an experiment. Something that was created through a horrible process, a painful process. Originally, he just followed the orders of his leaders under the threat of death. He was but a tool that would be used effectively by his owners. Yet as time had passed, he eventually learned to think of the organization he belonged too, it was more than simply obligation.

Maybe it was wrong for him to love this place so much, maybe it was wrong, however he loved it anyways. With his own hypocritical flaws, his imperfections and his own beliefs he shouldered the burden so another wouldn’t have too. It began with a purpose, him being a tool to carry out the will of the monsuta. He had been born to fight, to battle and pummel his opponents to a pulp, so when henrex called him primitive, his lips curved into the faintest of smiles. Because he was a primitive brute, even if he liked to dress himself up with eloquent speeches and declarations.

As Henrex spoke talking about a violent composition, azuma’s left foot shifted slightly, digging into the earth. Then lightning lit up the skies above, illuminating the ruined and desolate landscape. It was as this light filled the air, that azuma made his move. His body first moved to the left, lunging forth until his left foot touched on the ground. From there, in the same instance he switched direction to the right. Azuma did this at such a startling speed that for a few moments to the untrained eye it would look like he had formed a doppleganger: two azuma’s momentarily gracing the field of battle. The only other thing that would happen in this very brief window of time would be a byproduct of the air whipping up around him. This would kick up a thick cloud of dust, that would momentarily obscure azuma from even the keenest of eyes. It would be in this moment that azuma would vanish via flash-step as a ring of electricity had begun to form around him, the lightning that arced there missing him entirely as he managed to narrowly avoid it through the previously mentioned utilization of flash-step.

Coming out of flash-step he would be infront of henrex who had just released his shikai. In the next moments a thunderclap like noise would be issued from azuma’s gloved fist clashing violently with the descending edge of henrex’s sword as if cleaved downwards. Azuma’s front foot being firmly planted on the ground as his fist sought to overpower henrex’s downwards motion with an uppercut.

As henrex vanished in what azuma assumed was the shinigami’s own flash-step a brilliant burst of flame would ascend towards the skies above from the friction generated from their clash. Azuma’s head then moved on a swivel to locate just exactly where his winged pal had gone off too. He quickly moved pivoting his body and jumping backwards after he located the spiritual signature behind him, his hand moving forward only just in the knick of time to generate a massive wall of flames that would destroy some of the feathers moving towards him. As his foot touched the ground from his backwards leap, he’d dive to the left avoiding a few of the remaining feathers that managed to brave the inferno that was thrown at him, albeit even then a few had managed to come into contact with his body due to the speed they had been traveling prior. tearing into his skin to leave numerous deep lacerations in his skin that would sizzle audibly in the air around them as blood oozed out.

When finally the shinigami’s feet touched the ground, azuma went on his counterattack. His body vanished as he utilized pure speed to surround henrex, multiple after-images forming as he began rapidly utilizing flash step to disappear and reappear. Each time he appeared though in these few seconds he would fire off a cero. The end result would be hundreds of cero’s would fill the entirety of henrex’s vision probably blinding him as they collided with him to generate a truly massive explosion that would kick up a dust cloud that expanded outwards of a half mile.

This however would only be the first phase of the plan. The second would happen as azuma snapped. The subsequent spark would then flare up and race through the different particles in the cloud of dust to generate a dust explosion. This would cause a deafening roar as the cloud of dust spanning a half mile simply ignited and exploded with devastating force, upending the already devastated earth.

Afterwards azuma had paused and waited, blood dripping from the ten or so different wounds he had on his body, the small streams of blood igniting as they moved across his friction body barrier. now having done all of this to flush out henrex hopefully the male either was a greater distance away from him, or was in the air above. However, only time would reveal how effective his tactics actually were.

As Henrex's eyes followed Azuma throughout their fight, Henrex could notice that there was a large lack of care within the area surrounding them. He watched as the male slaughtered thousands of soldiers, and willingly destroyed the landscape and anything else that got in his way. It was a way of fighting that Henrex found very basic, dull, and idiotic. He had already come to the conclusion that the man was nothing short of a barbarian, but this was something deeper. It was more than just the destruction of the land.

Henrex's eyes flashed with a brief realization, with his hands instantly going to work. Clasping his hands together and extending his middle fingers, Henrex began to channel his energy to access what the Iga ninja called the "Ring of Sky" in order to cause his body to become furtherly unrestricted. The male closed his eyes for a brief moment before he spoke.

"On baishiramantaya sowaka." He prayed, his eyes opening.

Instantly, Henrex felt energy flood into his system, overwhelming physical and mental strength instantly being gratified to him, using this ninja hand sign, Rin. As Azuma dug his foot into the ground, dashing off in what would appear to the normal eye as instantaneous, Jounochi was still active. His eyes could track the man as he moved, leaving doppelgangers in his wake. Ceros fired from them, and Henrex remained unmoved. Drawing his sword to his shoulder, Henrex's foot slid, with the rest of his body following suit as the lightning that wrapped around his sword extended.

Spewing out more of the deadly voltage, Henrex's blade made quick work of both the Ceros and the afterimages. But, there was one that was still left unchecked, and a Cero blasted Henrex in the back. Henrex's wrist flicked, and a bolt coursed from the sky and eliminated the final clone. As Henrex rose, he noticed the dust that gathered from the explosions of the Hollow Blasts, before seeing a spark. Kicking off the ground and into the air, Henrex felt a blast of heat collide into him, forcing him back for a moment.

The storm blew a colossal gale at the back of Henrex, eventually causing him to stop in his tracks, before pushing him forward and sending him towards Azuma, with small bits of his energy extending outward into the world around him. His wings flapped forward, causing more bladed feathers to fly from him. Hundreds of these feathers would fly towards Azuma, enveloped in lightning once more. These feathers would aim to slash and pierce through anything that was in its path.

Furthermore, Henrex's arm would make a single slashing motion, and hundreds of orbs would fly from the blade of the male, aiming to both coat the landscape around them, as well as attempt to cling to the body of the Monsuta's Weapon. If successful, Azuma would find his speed lowered by 15% for the remainder that the Mark of the Storm was on his body. Bringing his arm back and flicking up his cloak, a white kanji letter would appear on his back, translating to "Susanoo".

Through the use of Shadow Essence, a sum of blackness would emerge from the shadows behind Henrex, forming a twenty-foot wave of "water". This wave would surge at immense speed towards Azuma, which would have a large potential to hit him from the amount of energy that he had just burned off. In addition to this, Henrex's body would instantaneously move to the Marks of the Storm that were littered all around Azuma. Each time he would jump to one, a loud clap of thunder would go off, along with the mark vanishing.

This was meant to distract Azuma, as the vibrations of the noise would attempt to knock Azuma's focus to that of the surroundings around them. Meanwhile, Henrex continued jumping from mark the mark, creating thunderclap after thunder, all the while lightning bolts strike and screamed throughout the sky as they crashed moments before the thunder rolled. After that, Henrex's body would reappear for a moment before shooting off in a burst of speed into the skies. As the male's wings flapped to keep him in the air, Henrex gazed at the berserker in front of him, waiting for his response.

Flashes of light, streaks of bodies soaring through the air. To the untrained eye of an outsider, azuma and henrex’s dance could be perceived as blurs coupled with blasts of residual kinetic force, scorching heat and flashes of lightning. It was a violent and yet breathtaking affair.

Within the fight, azuma’s eyes followed the cackling silver streak of henrex’s blade as it swam within the sea of cero’s. It’s glinting edge making quick work of them one after another with a startling efficiency. Then as the explosion rocked the earth, azuma launched into the gloom. He knew it could be rash, however when ever had he been the type of guy to bide his time, and wait patiently for a chance to strike? So with the subtlety of a battering ram, his path of motion blew apart the residual dust and smoke that obscured the landscape with a sonic boom, his golden eyes trained solely on the raven that stood before him.

As he bridged the gap, a mighty motion of henrex’s wings sent countless dagger-edged feathers towards the monsuta’s leader. Yet, all azuma did was shift his body and hold and arm in front of him. Small streams of blood flew past him as he descended into the swarm of feathers that flew at him. Uncountable cuts marred his flesh, shredded his clothes as in a show of brute force and will he barreled through in one go, now only a few feet from henrex as he was casting his orbs of lightning. Azuma’s body tilted further, hugging the ground as he bridged the gap, the side of his fist colliding with the flat side of the descending blade to knock it off course to cause the balls of lightning to veer of course. Now as he finally closed the distance between them, blood running from the many wounds that now adorned his body from the strikes. Feathers embedded in the arm that he had used as a shield.

He clenched his fist and ignored the pain as now a wall of water surged forth from henrex, and azuma’s fist jerked forth, missing him and smashing straight into the oncoming wave. The force and velocity of his fist being enough that there was no difference between the wall of water and a concrete wall, his entire body shifting behind the force of this blow to cause the wall of water to disperse, large purple bruises already having begun to adorn his knuckles from the surface tension of the water that he had just essentially smashed to pieces with brute force alone.

What greeting him after he smashed apart the wall of water however was nothing. Thunder claps now surrounded him as his his eyes seemed to dart too and fro and in every direction. Tracking the raven as he moved, his feet shifting as inevitably the raven shot towards the heavens above and azuma’s eyes followed him. All azuma did as this man fled to the heavens above was spit a glob of blood to the side on the ground, steam rising from him as the numerous wounds, lacerations and cuts that have covered his body had begun to burn to a close. His right hand raising to rest on his chest as he ripped the ragged shirt that had adorned his upper body off in a single tug, throwing the piece of scrap to the side, where it was whisked away by a gust of wind. Exposing the uncountable number of scars, that adorned his toned body. Hundreds of wounds crisscrossed his flesh, speaking of the battles he had endured.

Then? The male raised his hand and beckoned the raven forth. He wasn’t going to follow the man into the skies, because he’d be absolutely stupid to do so. He wanted to see what the raven was going to do. Rather than waste any more of his stamina chasing him all over the god-damned place.

Pride. Even standing here as he looked at the captain across from him in the heavens. Even as he fought to the bitter end, azuma felt nothing but pride for the home that he once had been a part of. The home he had been made for, the home he had been in charge of, the people that he had met. The life he had lived. He regretted none of these things. From the moment he was created, a mere tool that was meant to bolster the ranks of the monsuta. To the time in which he stood, it’s leader and the one who had supposed to have been the one to lead them to new heights, a new era of prosperity in which they could all prosper. He had tried, but those who had led them before had weakened them, the foundation that once had bolstered them was gone. The world on all sides simply would not tolerate these rampant dogs any longer.

God knows where azuma had gotten it from. But from his pocket he pulled out a cigarrette. As simple as it may be, azuma was not an avid smoker. Yet right now, he snapped against the butt, causing that familiar crimson glow to smolder at it’s end. Bringing the unsavory stick of cancer to his lips for a nice deep drag. He had glanced at all the reports coming through the system. The war, was lost. They had lost. Demonica had fallen, Tatsuya had been beaten. All they had left was him, standing there, fighting pointlessly for the home they had made.

”I know i’m just the wild animal, but I’d rather give these piss-ants the middle finger till the end. What say you partner?”

Azuma smiled faintly at his hollows logic, the fact that he could indeed do this was the only thing that would come from this. And thus, he would. Azuma was capable of harnessing the energy from the reactors, however being as much of the system as the system was apart of him at this point the very opposite would happen. Henrex would feel the trully massive amounts of energy that once bolstered every bit of the man's being deplete. Every ounce would vanish as he glanced up at the sky and at henrex and blew out that bit of smoke.

Deep within the core of brazil, the magnificent reactors that once powered it all, had bolstered them to be capable of fighting invaders, had been the core to power their might and splendors. They would all at that moment go critical. Azuma would turn around, not caring if henrex would slay him for not paying attention to their fight, and instead looked at brazil. The cigarette in his mouth, and his posture that of a man who was resigned to fate, the posture of a man who did not care that because this system was as much a part of him as he was it, that the fail-safe mechanism that was built into him would detonate most likely soon after.

Then it would happen. The dome of energy from which brilliance would blast into the heavens, the blinding roar that would be heard most likely around the world. It was a resplendent wall of energy that would come when the reactors erupted. It’s light was blinding, as if the sun had descended upon the realm. It was a horrific amount of energy that eclipsed everything else as the shockwaves blew by, as the clouds were vaporized in the sky above. As the very air was scorched from the raw amounts of energy that simply went off within this one moment.

Rock was vaporized, earth was shattered. The ground ripped asunder and the sky’s blown apart. It was as if the heavens themselves had come crashing down. It was as if the world was ending in this moment of true, catastrophic fallout. Everything in this moment would be turned asunder. They had forgotten one thing, mongrel’s would always bite when cornered. Rabid dogs never let things go quietly.

And when the dust cleared? When the massive explosion that lasted a moment erupted and destroyed the heavens? Brazil was no more. A smoldering hole, at least 200 feet deep emerged from the immense destruction that had happened here. How many lives had been lost? How many innocent families were slain? Azuma let out once more a puff of air as for hundreds of miles the ocean began to act erradically, rushing in to reclaim the space that was once occupied by land. Seawater flooded in violently. While azuma said quite plainly.

”Don’t take it personally shinigami. I am a sore loser after all.”

No grand speeches. No grand serenade that would fill the void in his absence. He’d close his eyes as he thought to himself. As he savored that last smokey breath of air.

”It was one wild ride partner wasn’t it?”
And to that his hollow would reply. ”It was.”

And just like that, the man that had led the monsuta, would explode. In a violent fashion that would rain bodyparts across the region. Blood, gore, bones. Everything simply collapsed. The leader of the monsuta, and his organization no more. Now, as for the impending aftershocks in the region the gotei would manage to stem most of the damages, stopping neighboring countries from being flooded by the immense rushing water that had moved to fill the gap. But on this day the geography of the world had been changed. On this day the monsuta ceased to be.
