» Item Description: The Decay Bombs are small black orbs that are roughly the size of a plum. These are infused with a potent amount of energy that is released when a person throws it against a solid surface. When this action occurs, the object will explode, but there will be no flashy show of light or sounds. Instead, this is meant to act silently and spread its particles of energy throughout a city block radius.

When the particles of energy are released from the decay bombs, the contents inside of the bomb seek to break down and destroy non-living creations on a microscopic level. This applies to physical and supernatural constructs such as barriers, energy attacks, weapons and other similar things. So this is useful to them if they were trying to create a small hole in a massive dome. As while these bombs couldn't take down a barrier with a high volume of energy, they could create a small opening to allow a sneak invasion of some kind.

With that said, those who have good sensory skills will be able to sense the energy leaving these bombs because they are extremely potent to be able to achieve the effects they do. So they may also be picked up by sensory equipment as well and can be stopped if they are removed from the environment. This can be done by the use of supernatural powers, but it will have to be a focused effort because of the high potency of this bomb. Hence, if a fire user were to sense the bomb going off, they'd need to summon a fair deal of their energy in order to erase it with their flames. It's not something that can be dosed out with a casual effort.
