Still floating a bit below the other two combatants, Kai could do little but watch through hazy vision as they continued to deal blows to each other capable of rocking the world around their small frames which belied the power bubbling at the surface. Fighting against odds which seemed not just stacked against him, but in a whole other universe, were not really new to Kai. After all, Wareyasui Moroi was able to manhandle the Vanguardian and his allies with little trouble. But something about this fight was different. It wasn't just him putting his life on the line for others, nay it was far bigger than that. Today, Kai was fighting not just for justice, but for goodness on the grandest of scales. Stopping Inami here could prevent numerous tragedies and destruction, and strike a blow against the supposed 'chaos' she claimed to represent. Even for someone as beaten, battered, and bruised as Kai, these reasons were enough to keep him up and on his feet, unflinching against the terror he stood against.

As the words about making a choice between victory or her ally escaped Inami's lips, Kai couldn't help but feel slight pangs of resentment about her question. Even after everything he'd witnessed and all the damage his body endured thus far, the Jade Dragon refused to back down. "I'm not done yet..." Even just saying a few words caused twangs of pain to ring throughout his body as Nizhuan and Inami struck shattering blows against each other. The former's resilience was incredible, while the latter's tenacity continued to display itself as overwhelming. Kai wasn't sure if they were an even match and had no clue what abilities or powers they still hid up their sleeves, but one thing was clear: In any other situation, neither of them should have even registered Kai's existence in this war. Yet, whether it was through their own beliefs or doubts, or perhaps a result of his own determination and words, Kai was a part of this battle. As such, he couldn't call it quits. Not until he could do nothing else.

As the bright plum energy encapsulated Kai's entire being, a warmness spread through his limbs and resonated in his mind akin to his own flames. The man's vision became clearer and clearer as his attention was drawn to his arms and hands, staring in surprise as the wounds which just a moment ago coated them began to shrink and disappear. Even the strain he felt from breathing began fading, washing away all doubts still left in his mind with it. This Nizhuan character, though far mightier than he, clearly didn't see him as just an obstacle or bother. She saw something in him, something worth saving. Clenching his fists tightly, Kai's flaming jade gaze once again set on the Demon Queen responsible for all this destruction and loss of life. So long as he drew breath, so long as Nizhuan would go out of her way for him, Kai would not fall. "Sacrifice me...? What did I say?! I said you [b]WILL NOT WIN HERE!"

Though not a full resurrection of his strength, Kai once again felt stable and healthy enough to use his Stances. However, using either of his Rank 2's would be difficult still, so he went with a classic. From a small body of fire emerged a jade encrusted bow in the man's hands, which was quickly aimed directly for Inami's figure above him. Wanting to at the very least distract the Demon, Kai aimed to create an opening for his ally's attacks. Before Nizhuan's most recent attack could potentially land, Kai charged and fired a two-pronged arrow enveloped in a large inferno of his green flames. Due to the amount of fire and strength put into the arrow, it screamed through the air like a raptor rocketing toward its prey. This arrow would reach Inami's location ever-so-slightly before Nizhuan's attack, and would explode into a ten meter wide blast of fire hopefully able to increase the latter's chance of success against this embodiment of evil they both battled against. When his newfound ally spoke about tipping the scales, Kai nodded his head with fierce determination still in his eyes. Inami Asthavon would regret coming to Sirsa today.

Deity Of Lawlessness

Chaos . . .Order. . when did it become that the scales had been tipped so far? As twin blows shattered themselves into inami’s body, she had felt not pain, but rather than pain she felt something that she had not felt in a very long time. Yes, as blackened blood splattered from inami’s body and it dissipated like smoke in the air. As inami’s hand pressed against the bloodied mess that adorned her face, and the pain that caressed her being there would be an odd. . almost symbolic shift in the queen of brutes. This being that was on a warpath. The hair that had been two toned for so long had hints of white introduced in it. Call it the mixing of aura’s but as the ashtavons emerald gaze sweeped sleepily over the chaos that had taken place flecks of clarity had already begun to expand through her mind.

It was very much like a haze had been lifted from the queen's mind and yet . . she was very much the same as she had been previously. As the blood soon dried from the queens face, as the darkness that still bubbled forth from her lips would soon be tinged with oorja energies. It would be as if Nizhuan’s energy had done much more than right the balance that lingered within Inami’s chaotic psyche. As her energy eclipsed it’s previous peak her eyes glanced down at the duo on the ground, her green eyes . . they held clarity and yet why was it that the ground around her would begin to warp. Why was it the dimension seemed like it was being shaken apart by some sort of turbulence in the mile surrounding the queen of chaya nation?

Even now, with Inami’s reserves having been diminished by nizhuan’s raw energies she still had enough to do something absolutely devastating to the realm around them. The very ground would shake, and the heavens would tremble as the laws of the world seemed to bare themselves and prostrate before the queen of chaya nation. Even as her essence was being altered, something primal had been awoken in her to, her voice would echo outwards.

”I wonder, is it because of chaos that subjugation exists. . or is it because subjugation exists that chaos runs rampant?”

As inami’s words bore fruit it would begin. The laws that governed the world. Call them truths, call them concepts. As the concept of subjugation ruled over this space, as it sought to overwrite the chaos that was present. Inami’s hand would reach out and grasp that elusive concept as her entire body truly shone like a fallen deity. In that moment inami would truly look like the sun, her power overwhelming, enough that anything within inami’s direct vicinity up to a thousand feet from her in all directions would simply be vaporized under the truest brunt of her power. The aftershocks would expand outwards passing past the jade dragon and the hell-beast of order as the queen looked down at both of them.

As inami’s hand pulled the very sky seemed to distort, the color’s dissipating to a monotone as it would seem like inami had grasped some sort of strand. A strand that had materialized from the existence around them. The concept of subjugation was derived from the larger law of “order”. Balance within order and chaos existed within all things, but what happened when one of those fundamental concepts was removed? Soon the very realm would tremble as inami expended a truly heinous amount of energy and formed a spear, a spear that would expand outwards to the better back-end of a mile.

In this spear she had severed the laws of order, the very realm would warp around it’s magnificence as everything seemed to pale in the face of it. Inami’s own silver hair would ripple out luminously as she looked at the subjugation dave before her. Her lips curved into the faintest of smiles as her hand moved forward and the entirety of that spear compressed.

It would vanish, and appear before the subjugation dave as if it had teleported there, or maybe had existed there all together. However if she moved there would be very little doubt that the power of this attack would cause extensive damage to the jade dragon. Now if Nizhuan just took the blow though, the spear wouldn’t affect her on the physical level really, all it would do would smash a hole into her as it would hammer into the ground behind her. However on a metaphysical level it would shatter and diminish the connection that Nizhuan had with order, erasing part of the connection she had with her law and causing her to become inbalanced and unstable.

In short, it would cause a massive amount of damage to her on a metaphysical level, to the point it might even be possible that her energy reserves would sharply plummet as a result. A soft sigh leaving Inami’s lips as the massive amount of energy expanded outwards afterwards in a dome, dissipating before she had glanced up at the sky above. She already felt the connection to this land, and as her hand slowly raised the earth would begin to meld to her will, the burning wreckage of the city would begin to mend, the massive fires would dissipate. To those who survived the chaos would seem to be over for now. . atleast. As inami spoke once more to the probably fairly injured nizhuan. Her voice was as clear as it had been in a very long time, and maybe she might find reason in the hell beast of subjugations wish.

”..Then tell me Nizhuan, what would you have me do?”

Artist: N/A - Song: My Hero Academia - Word Count: N/A

"No sacrifice on your part is needed. We both will leave here alive."

It didn't matter how banged up or injured the two may exit this place, Nizhuan did not have thought of being here on her to-do list. If anything, it seemed as if the tables were beginning to become balanced in the way that The Devil could sense the mindscape of The Chaya Queen starting to shift, alter and morph into something between order and chaos. Which, in a sense, is something she strived for within herself, this realm and in others to prevent it all from crumbling into the abyss of utter and unrestrained chaos.

Yes, there were still raising disturbances screaming in the realm around them that Nizhuan could feel, but she was not phased by the screams of the heavens roaring out all around her. As far as she was concerned, the determination in her own soul was just as mighty as the drastic change in form that the external world around herself took as it became submerged in these two constructs of law and disorder.

Letting her human partner take the lead, Nizhuan held her ground and uttered this out to Inami in response to her insights on subjugation:

"Chaos and subjugation are one in the same. It is why both I and the Hell Demon I serve are the same creatures."

With a soft exhale of breathe, a plum burst of energy bled out of the essence of Nizhuan as she stared down the now emerald eyed Inami:

"And why I only desire it to be regulated, not eradicated."

Then, in one instance of rash thought, Nizhuan herself indulged in the contents of insanity, leaped forward and took the spear which was heading straight for Kai. The demoness showed no sign of pain, but the squirting of fluid pink blood dripped out of the woman's right shoulder blade as she used her body as a shield. And, indeed, what soon followed was a mass destabilization of her body as she could feel her own inner energies becoming interwoven with the construct of chaos. Yet, that did not scare her. No. The complete entity of her and Liu's being already possessed something just as chaotic as this in them. This feeling of total disorder was not to be feared, but accepted and endured.

"You know something? I'm a creature of complete sin. Yet, when I think of the time spent in the realm of the living, it's absurd of me to want to try and do something that is quote-on-quote "heroic", but here I am indulging that chaos when it would make more sense to just abandon that and only think of saving myself...."

Was it the desires of Liu's heart running in it her? The chaos pouring into her body from Inami? The memories that she shared serving the Vastime and all it's crew? Or was it...something else? Nizhuan wasn't quite sure, but in this moment she felt she was on the right path toward making leeway in this clash of disorder and order. So, she pressed forward with a blood-filled laugh:

"...all I want is for you to stop with the destruction of this land and our world."

Really, that was it. The changes of power altered rapidly in a realm that thrived off of chaos, power, strength, and brutality. Yet, it was reaching such a critical threshold that her own way of life was becoming endangered. Thus, as an embodiment of this lawful nature, Nizhuan HAD to act or risk losing what she was.

"Demons are chaotic beings, and even my own essence thrives on death, but if the chaos reduces our race to absolute zero and our world to dust, what point will it serve?"

And sure, while her power was unstable at the moment, Nizhuan knew she had enough strength left inside of her in order to change the tide of Inami's fight in order to ease the wavelength of unrestrained chaos bleeding in her being as an Asthavon. She had no intentions of entirely sealing it away, but her prowess yielded enough of a bound to her spirit to keep it in check to where she wasn't mindlessly destroying these lands. As the subtle whispers into her consciousness from Nizhuan's subjugating law would ensure this persona change would stay active in Inami. With the sacrifice of her blood, energy and element sought to restrain this hellish nature enough to where she could see a future of herself having composed chaos and order in a singular vessel much like Nizhuan and Liu's own fully complete being when they are united as one.

"I'm a creature of hell and I have no interest in the struggle of royal power on the surface world, but..."

Now with these bonds made, Nizhuan ripped out the blade, threw it to the abyss and placed both of her hands on the shoulders of Inami before leaning in close and saying these closing words to cement her pathway to mental victory:

"...I'm scared of losing myself if the law of demon world is changed because my essence is tethered to how this realm's structure of power is. So all I want is for you to think more before you act and go about destroying and killing: is that too much to ask for?"

ENTER KAI LAM'S POST

Kai was entirely unperturbed by whatever new peak Inami Asthavon was reaching. He had had just about enough of this endless powering up from the Demon Queen. Apparently she was infinitely strong, or at least acted like it, which didn't bother the Jade Dragon at all. Neither did the supposed conflict between 'order' and 'chaos'. They could throw around whatever phrases they wanted, but neither side had any effect on Kai. His mental fortitude was strong, not something that could be swayed by such vague concepts as these. Instead, he watched as the full power of both his and Nizhuan's attacks struck Inami who apparently didn't react or respond to either, meaning she likely would have taken pretty noticeable damage regardless of her strength. While Nizhuan's abilities were clearly the superior, Kai's own fire was both hot and powerful enough to make ignoring the damage Inami clearly took due to lack of response basically impossible.

He wouldn't be done with his renewed offensive at this point either. His foe's strength, which apparently grew infinitely and continuously "eclipsed" everything revealed so far, didn't frighten Kai in the slightest. Moroi was far more intimidating, and he was basically just a man in a big metal suit. By wrapping himself in his strongest flames, Kai was able to remain healthy through all the big and fanciful explosions and energy waves his opponent felt it necessary to create. He wouldn't allow himself to be beaten so casually by irrelevant attacks after everything that had occurred so far in this battle. His glowing green fire burned bright in the face of the world-ending destruction surrounding him, a testament to the incredible growth both it and Kai himself had gone through over the past year. Even just a few months he would have been blown away, but not today. Not here.

When Nizhuan allowed herself to be struck by Inami's spear-like weapon, Kai at first felt a great deal of worry for his newly-made comrade. However, when she continued to speak as if she was fine his attitude towards the situation changed, rapidly evolving from distress to basically shrugging it off. Yes she had taken a powerful attack directly for him, but considering there wasn't any wavering in her voice and the fact she tore the weapon out of herself proved there wasn't much to fear in terms of her physical health. Due to these reasons, Kai moved positions again so he was to Inami's right while Nizhuan was still directly in front of the demon, giving him a decent vantage point from which he could still target his foe without catching the other individual up in his attacks. This would prove especially useful once Nizhuan moved in close and made physical contact with their mutual enemy, making attacking from his previous spot basically impossible.

Gripping his bow tight, Kai nocked one last jade green arrow and prepared for his absolute final attempt to even scratch Inami since apparently everything he had already tried was easily swatted away. Within this arrow he focused all the energy and life force he could muster from head to toe, filling it with both raw power and incredibly potent fire of the highest degree. This combination would make this last arrow more dangerous than even his Jade Dragon's Roar as he risked potentially lowering his lifespan by pouring in so much of his life and determination. Kai could feel all the power and will empty from his body, slowly leaving it an empty and barely-breathing husk. All the energy Nizhuan had provided was being used to create a single attack possibly capable of drawing this battle to a close.

Every positive emotion, every bit of determination, and every gram of heroism still left in his body now lived within this small and reasonably unassuming arrow. Due to being entirely condensed, the arrow currently nocked in Kai's bow wouldn't seem particularly dangerous to Inami regardless of her sensing abilities. The true power of this weapon was cloaked, hidden from view. It gave off no heat and provided no insight into what Kai had poured into it. Once he felt light-headed and could barely move anymore, the Jade Dragon knew it was time to release his most powerful and determination-filled attack.

While Nizhuan gripped Inami's shoulders, distracting the demon queen just enough, Kai finally let go and loosed his arrow. This arrow would careen through the air far faster than any previously, now radiating heat capable of liquidizing steel and rock alike, until reaching Inami's position less than a second after leaving its initial position. Between the Demon likely underestimating the arrow's strength, due to not being able to sense all the power concentrated within its small body, and being distracted by Nizhuan, it would be very likely the attack would find its mark. Even powerful barriers and defenses would be pierced by this arrow, and due to being fired in Kai's Precision Gear, it would be incredibly accurate and difficult to dodge as well. If all things went according to plan, the arrow would tear a searing hole horizontally from Inami's right hip to her left, exiting on the opposite side. If even this would be casually swatted away, then that would prove all his actions in this war for Sirsa a waste.

Regardless of the outcome, Kai's consciousness immediately began fading as his body began giving in to both extreme mental and physical exhaustion. The bow in his hands burned away into small wisps of fire before disappearing completely. His glowing verdant eyes glazed over and limbs grew heavy before going completely slack. After momentarily staying standing, the Jade Hero toppled over, whispering "Good luck...Nizhuan..." before falling unconscious. While laying collapsed on the ground the familiar spirit of Guan Yu appeared standing over him, able to provide one last service before fading away for good. With every bit of his willpower, China's most legendary general was able to create a small dimensional rift using Kai's own fire below his body and drop him through it. This would return the Vanguard Warden to the land of his domain, Earth, finally removing him from the hellscape he'd fought in for seemingly many hours now. It was time for him to rest.

Inami
The Amber-Eyed Queen

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 1012
She was being held. A blade buried deep within her. Inami’s eyes ranged across the lands beyond her as the madness seemed to ebb. The seal of eris which had become as much a part of her as anything else had been affected by the energy of order that pulsated within her veins. Moments before she had felt she was on the cusp of victory, and yet here she was, at this moment. With the hellbeasts arms coiled firmly around her waist. In the sky they seemed to be suspended there, in an almost romantic weapon if it wasn’t for the hellbeasts weapon being buried firmly inside of the demons body, it’s energy disrupting and enacting itself to diminish the potency of the chaos that mired inami’s mind. It was a sensation that was jarring. Worse then that though, was without the affects of the seal as predominantly altering her sense of psyche she was hit with the full brunt of the chaos that she had been causing, the hell, the pain, the anguish that she had caused.

How devastating was it to feel what you were doing was right, only to find you were the monster causing the chaos all along? Inami was besotted with her emotions, and it provided the perfect opportunity for the Jade dragons attack to hit home. The attack tore clear through her, and the took with it the majority of the lower half of her body the pain that inami felt from it was incomprehensible. enough that it’d make a normal person most likely die from shock. However for inami though, it seemed to be the push needed for Nizhuan’s energy to break the balance within inami’s body. It may be more symbolic for most, but inami’s body began to shift. Right before their eyes, the white hair that once adorned her head was shifting to a hazelnut brown.

The emerald of her lineage faded to an amber brown as she stared at the destruction she had wrought. Blood still moving from her mouth as she gave out several heavy coughs, allowing massive amounts of blood to splatter across nizhuans back as the girl pulled her sword free from where the lower half of the queen of chaya’s body should have been. The blood that came from her mouth was pitch black, and blackened smock rose from it bit by bit as the queen of brutes watched slowly as the jade dragon faded into the abyss. It was a complicated thing, the fact that the worst wound she had probably ever been dealt, was from a being that for all intents, and purposes could be considered an ant in her eyes. However, that was what made it so impressive.

Yet, what filled her mind was not pleasure at this mans actions, but rather realization of her own. All she had wanted was to protect the demon realm, she wished to set it right, she wished to bring the chaos that her sister was causing to and end, and yet she was a bigger monster than even her sister wasn’t she? She had caused all this chaos, all this trouble and destroyed so much. How long had it been since this dream had turned from a dream into a nighmare for those around her? How long had she gone down this misguided path, had forsaken her ideals, had forsaken her principles, had abandoned herself and allowed the hurt, and the pain to simply fade away into negligence? How long had she been asleep?

Asleep yes, merely going through the motions, allowing something to suppress the reality she needed to face with falsehood and delusion? She was no better than Mana, she was no better than the other tyrants that had taken this world and put it out of order. She had allowed her pain to cloud her judgement, and she had taken the easy way out all those years ago. Inverse neoveta had been that way to hide, to cease facing reality, to cease moving forward and instead be lost in the drunked stupor of her own needs, and ideals. These past few years she had merely been lying to herself hadn’t she?

It was a sobering thought, knowing everything she had done for the past few years had been done wrong. That she had forsaken the ideals that led her to bridge a connection with shinigamis, that led her to build a city for hybrids, what had led her to bring order to the nation of brutes. She had forsaken her dignity, she had lost her honor. She had thrown out integrity, left her own ideals on the curb. She had ceased to be the thing she had wished to be, she had lost the dream that she had and let it become twisted, and warped.

She had been used, and like a fool she had let her own desire to be negligent overwhelm her need to be here, present, and doing the right thing. But now, she was awake, and this reality that she had created for herself was her own. She had dug this hole, she had done all this. No one else was to blame for the horrible things she had done, massacre, destruction of her own kind. She had done all of this.

Nizhuan spoke about not getting in the way of royals, and given this was around the time pain was beginning to kick in-- admittedly even inami, who had one of the best regenerative abilities that she herself knew of, was struggling to truly hear most of the information that was being told to her. Pain did that to a person who was essentially just a top half at the moment. Inami truly felt muddle-headed as she vanished, obviously out of commission from her injuries into a demon portal. With the last vestiges of her mentality fading to black.

Inami has exited the thread

...

And like that, everything was decided in an instant. From the perception of Nizhuan, this battle seemed to have reached it's conclusion. With both Inami and Kai out of commission, it seemed that she was the last one standing; despite the severity of her spiritual wounds. While coughing up hot blood that melted the earth below her, The Hellhound knew that her days of maintaining the power of a demon overlord were over for now. Whatever potency which her heart and soul possessed prior to this clash had bled out and she felt her reserves of energy being more comparable to that of a demon lord.

...yet, that didn't matter.

No.

Nizhuan took something much more from this fight by the fact that she understood her heart, mind, and soul were changed by the events which took place on earth as a result of her fighting for that order. The remnants of that insanity which mortals possess rubbed off on her spirit to do something so wreckless caused the devil to let out a long, happy and jovial laugh as she felt her sense of childish wonder begin to overflow her being.

Was this what it meant to be a hero? Could she even call herself such a thing despite being the embodiment of sin? Who knows. The world wasn't as black and white as everyone believes, so perhaps this bit of chaos was good for her soul as she felt relieved and at peace by preventing the total destruction of this nation. In fact, from what Nizhuan could discern from Inami prior to her departure is that she was on the verge of change herself. Of course, it was going to hurt like all hell for the time being, but she knew the influence of order was marked on her soul and it only be a matter of time before Inami grew for the better and learned to harness the elements of discord and order; much like herself.

For now, however, Nizhuan's focus was more on the body of Kai that had laid unconscious in the debris of dirt, rubble, and carnage from this exchange of demon demi-gods. In her mind? The male had done well to otherwise endure his physical body, harden his will and retain his essence through their war. So, for that, she'd reward him by walking over to his unmoving body, placing her right hand over it and infusing it with a pink light.

By transferring this energy into him, Nizhuan was empowering his body and soul with the influence of order. Should he chose to accept this when he awakes, Kai may find himself with a new vigor to otherwise enforce his heroic ideals on the world with a strong hunger to protect the way of order and balance in the world around them from those that seek to disturb it.

And, at the same time, the sacrifice of her energy, the bonding of these two's wave of thinking and his drive to remain a hero has the potential to boost his tier upwards of one tier so that he may see the next level of strength to assist him his journeys.

"You've done well. Rest."

With that, Nizhuan moved her hand to the side before having a mist of plum energy consume the human. This was done so that he may be teleported and sent away to the barracks of the Vastime so that they may do whatever they need to in order to repair him, heal him and bring him back to full health. This would then allow for Nizhuan to turn her head to the skies above and give one last outburst:

"And if anyone is watching, don't be scared. I won't bite you that hard......"
