Creation Breeds Destruction

Artist:Adrian von Ziegler - Song:Reign of the Dark - Word Count: 1531
The groans of the damned lined the halls, a cascade of darkness hiding the wickedness that was the Hollow King's most recent project in the works...Or rather a continued one from an age not long ago that failed to get off the ground. A thousand of what used to be prisoners were chained up to the ceiling, hooks cleaving into their backs like blades with sharp edges slowly being dragged across their bare flesh. They were left there for who knew how many days, slowly being cut apart while blood rushed to their head...And flooded to the ground below. The crimson spilled into a chamber, all of the blood flowing down it like a river and being filtered together. By the end of the lengthy process, most of the prisoners hung from the ceiling were dead, either gone from starvation, being drained of every drop of blood in their body, or being killed by the few others in the facility for a quick thrill. Only a handful still lived, and they would be passing on soon enough.
The mad Hollow sat in the room where the dead were left to it, the blood pooled together in front of him, stored in a special chamber for their newest creation..Just a few more ounces and there would be enough for his creating to be born. Blood continued to drip from the dying and deceased, adding to the mix... This was going to be one of the most powerful creations yet, something that would serve as a valuable gift to whomever the parasitic creature chose. They sat patiently, inhabiting the flesh of it primary host at the time with the risks involved with this whole mess. After this was done, they'd be weak for a few days. vulnerable to assault or anything of the sort. However, with the body of its strongest host and a good number of followers tied to its fingertips, the creature wasn't all that worried.
Ruvik allowed its power to manifest, the first step to what would be a long and draining process ahead of them. Wisps of dark miasma flooded the room, a dark and overpowering reiatsu flooding the entire fortress. It would be no mystery who inhabited the place for several miles, the clear dark, repulsive, and possessive energy making the air thick with sin. The prisoners free from this experiment would find it hard to breathe, barely able to survive under the intense weight of the Hollow's full strength. Dozens of tendrils and vectors slowly crawled out from the Shinigami's flesh, flooding the room and scattering to encompass the chamber entirely. Four enlarged ethereal serpents split from the host's shoulders, large teeth drawn and biting at the air in an animalistic manner, searching for flesh to consume. It was time for them to step into the limelight once more and spread their chaotic will to this Earth. And to do that? It was time to reinvigorate the Advocates and bring to life a new set to serve their whims.
Ruvik began to relax, their sea of tendrils closing in around them and creating a field of serpents around their host's body. This was going to be a tiresome process, so to ensure they could create everything they aimed for? He would start small. His goal was to create three new pieces of his will, each useful to his followers in their own way. The Shinigami puppet slowly raised its arms, hands approaching their face and resting a few fingers around their right-eye...That would serve as the catalyst for the first creation. The fingers dug into the skin just around the socket, blood starting to drip from their fingertips as they scratched and tore flesh from bone. They were poised to strike, all aiming at the rim of the socket. The pain and injury didn't even phase the parasite, fully prepared to maim themselves without a second thought for the creation of their first piece.
The fingers darted into the socket, dislodging the eye and stretching the cords that attached it to the rest of the body. Crimson started to spill around the puppet's hand, a steady stream of blood flowing from it as the eye was stretched out and slowly pulled from its resting place. Then, in one fluid motion? Ruvik ripped the eye out completely, severing the cord and causing a flood of red to rush from their open socket. It fell to the floor, staining it and gently flowing into the mixture to fuel the final and more taxing project with his own tribute. The monster stayed there for a moment, still and motionless with their own eye grasped firmly between his fingers. The surge of energy that exuded from the Hollow began to dull, their power being focused, a concept dawning in their mind as they envisioned the process.
The next step would begin, A dense veil of demented energy washed over their body, the tendrils and vectors surging with the immense power at their disposal. It would serve as a valuable warm up for the true tests to come. Tendrils slowly approached the severed appendage, their jagged edges poised to cut right into it. Sparks of red electricity crackled and bent around them, their body completely relaxed and focused even after such a grievous injury. Slowly the bleeding stopped as the wound began to regenerate, the parasite's unique talents feeding the host's energy into their wound and closing it. The first traces of a new eye coming into place began to form, connected right to the severe cord the first was stripped from. And while that wound mended, the creature began the first of three projects.
The tendrils swarmed the severed eyes, piercing it and surging into it with ll of the energy they stored. They wouldn't pierce to the other side but fuse together with the organ, a dark power rapidly manifesting around it. Sparks of crimson glowed around them, the nature of the flesh being morphed and contorted by his will. The soft flesh hardened, becoming less flexible and more like marble. Countless tendrils gathered in the core, the iris and veins fading away and taking a new form. A skeletal mark formed where the iris formerly resided, black as night and charged with a thick veil of dark energy. The very nature of the organ shifted from flesh to a dense and powerful construct. The last of the tendrils flowed into the core and filled it to the brim with the Hollow's essence.
A small eruption of energy spilled from the orb, the open cuts that allowed the energy to pass through it sealed shut as it began the final stage of its alteration. The ties between the segment of his life-force and the artifact began to sever, the creation taking on properties and a life of its own. The ground quivered, the corpses dangling by chains shaking from the intense pressure filling the room. The blood flowed in waves, splashing against the edges of its container. But just as quickly as it began? The energy began to die down, the Orb becoming as dense and durable as reinforced steel and attaining properties even its creator wouldn't know of at first. It was a weaker construct, a lesser creation, not quite as draining as the two that were to come next. It was a good warm up though. The slightest traces of fatigue lingered with Ruvik, their four vectors still in full form, but the number of tendrils each commanded had been drastically reduced. The hollow took a moment to just sit there and gather themselves, holding the burning red Advocate in their open palm. Steam rolled off of it, a dark aura now resonating with it from its own presence alone. content with his first work, the nameless fiend set it gently into their pocket for safe-keeping until the time arrived to bestow it upon another.
