A Battle against the Vandenreich's Best Empty Re: A Battle against the Vandenreich's Best

Artist:Karnivool - Song: Aeons - Word Count: 829 -

Anger was an emotion like any other it came and went from some. Damien's daughter was taken by these people so when Tsubasa offered him a shot at revenge. He jumped on it without hesitation as he would act here on the Gotei's honor. His spiritual pressure struck this place like a meteor coming in devastating the area. His frame slowly landed on the cool ice his sandals hitting it. His eyes scanned the area as he slowly rested his only arm on his zanpakuto's hilt. He was here to settle this matter within a set issue. His eyes slowly shifted to the one's he could see sending a massive amount of his spiritual pressure at them. So he was the one who would be fighting though hardly alone. "Fancy that, looks like he was right about me finding you here." He said with a slight smile forming on his lips as he breathed softly. These people were here to invade how had that man figured it out? It wasn't a matter of question for Damien to figure out. He was here as a Kenpachi which meant his duty was rather obvious.

Slowly he pulled his zanpakuto out and let it rest against his shoulder. The question was how to respond to the situation here as he counted each one. They were certainly a big group he was seeing of them. Two of them were fierce from what he could sense. Damien also had something on his person to call in bigger guns. But only if things got out of hand by too much of a margin. He decided that he'd let his spiritual pressure out in full to let them see what they were against. The One Armed Demon was ready for a party. Kenpachi Damien was set to devastate and bring about ruin. To lay to rest these here corpses on this here glacier was the goal. From his count, he made out a two rather easily. Shadow's Fall huh this was their plan to attack former allies so readily. It was a fascinating turn of events something he'd not foreseen himself. This wasn't the Gotei's business but it was Damien's as he had a bone to pick with them. His anger had been directed although it may have been poorly.

The target of his anger stood before him and they would find his revenge something else. Damien's Mantra and other skills were on alert as he walked forward. His eyes shifted to the creatures as a spiritual pulse went out from his being. He'd used his special skill to render them down for now as he turned his coal eyes towards their creatures. He slowly began his advance forward as he prepared himself for whatever came. Damien could activate his Shikai if need be, but for the moment they didn't warrant it. As he released a breath the snow got blasted away from him. But to think he would come alone and play with them was foolish. That man never did things half-assed so they were in for some other guests. Two of which he'd never met and one of which he had. But it didn't matter much as Damien intended to show them just why he was regarded and feared. One arm meant nothing, their deaths were a certain outcome if they pushed it. Damien had one final thing he'd yet to do and perhaps here he would do it.

Damien's form continued a slow walk forward, those zombies that moved would merely get blasted away by his mere spiritual pressure. They were nothing but ankle biters with nothing to them. He didn't mind the attempt but, without a warrior's mind, they were meaningless insects. His orbs remained locked on the creature that made them. Before his orbs slowly shift across to any others he could locate. This matter wouldn't be settled without blood loss. Damien wasn't going to let this one go no matter what. He would settle matters with Khala someday as well. She and her kind had done a considerable amount of damage. They'd killed his daughter and almost taken his grandchild away. While Tsubasa was handling matters maturely Damien always found killing the one who did it and revenge felt nicer. Maturity was for those who decided to be smart all the time. He wasn't planning on doing either of those things right now. His frame slowly lifted the blade from his shoulder now as he let his glare remain settled on these enemies.

Mirja followed Damien, out of respect for him, worry for Antarctica, and a hope to see Niflhiem again. There were several emotions filling her at this point, she didn't know what to think, or if she was thinking anything. She just followed, And Damien wasn't like what he had been when she fought him in his 'invasion' of the Seireitei. He was cold as the ice they stood on, and was prepared to render judgement down on all who stood against him. And she knew from personal experience, that standing against him was not smart. He had handily dealt with her without so much as a Shikai - albiet, Mirja hadn't released her Zanpaktou either - and was fast enough to run rings around her.

"Try not to go too crazy. This isn't land we are standing on, it's just Ice. Hit it too hard and you'll rupture the entire shelf. I could do something about that but I don't want to block out any Quincy or other Soul Reapers that might be coming our way" She informed Damien, walking behind her and swishing her tail. This, was her terrain, so cold and so icy, it would bite and nib at all who hadn't sufficient thermal control. Of course, she wasn't here just to keep Damien company, her runes added versatility to the playing field, and allowed her to lock down this area once everyone who was going to come had come. Quincy representatives at least. If Tsubasa knew this was going down, then Niflhiem obviously did as well.

Taking out two small stones from a pouch, she threw them up in the air.
"Who is the leader of this group?" She asked. Both runes glowed a deep blue, and then shot off towards the leader, with unerring accuracy. They were too small, and too fast to snatch out of the air, even Tsubasa would have some trouble catching one of them, and there were two. It all but guaranteed the leader would be lit up. And then, she could point Damien in the right direction.

A Battle against the Vandenreich's Best 6EdIfMt

THE INSANE RAVEN'S POST

Artist: Shut Eye - Song: Nerf THIS! - Word Count: 1,320

Why were people so half-brained?

It was a question that Henrex had randomly asked himself upon hearing the news that there was an invasion in Antarctica. The Quincy owned that territory. Not even that, but they and the Shinigami had recently made peace with one another, leaving them as potential allies. So, it would be somewhat of a half-brained scheme to attack them with the force that Henrex had heard about. So, breathing a deep sigh, he stepped through the crimson portal that was the Kage Chōkyō-shi.

As he stepped through the endless blood-like area that surrounded him, the male's hands would pull out his version of the Container from the Cybermind, and tapping it repeatedly. The quiet beeping sounds of the Container rung out like gong hits in the silence of the world in between worlds. The first thing that would come out would be a large winter jacket, along with a cream-colored scarf. Sliding on the jacket and the scarf, he pulled the item over his mouth and nose, before going back to tapping on the screen.

If there were multiple high powered beings, he would need to be prepared. And he did so by equipping various items that he possessed from both the Cybermind, crafted himself, or even through other sources. Both the ninja, and the samurai were never without a weapon. Well, unless they were suspended from school from accidentally cutting off a support beam to the dojo with a katana. Chuckling softly to himself at the unfortunate event that had occurred in the past, he continued onward.

As his eyes were greeted with the shining white of the sun's reflection of the snow, his gaze naturally faltered, before his eyes were able to adjust to the situation that the had found himself in. It had seemed that there were already people on it. Mirja, and some red-haired stranger he didn't know. Something felt familiar about him, however. So, with a quick access of The GRID's registration system, he was easily able to find the name of the man that stood in the midst of Antarctica. Damien Crow.

Turning his gaze from his allies, to his enemies, Henrex was quickly hit with a wave of spiritual pressure, which was coming from the female who was screaming at the top of her lungs about revenge on something. Another one consumed by the everlasting hunger of revenge. It was a sad case. All revenge did was eat away at you until there was nothing left. His gaze flickered over the others that were along for the ride with them. Tilting his head to the side, his eyes soon settled on the strange demonic being that was laying on the ground, looking as if he was in pain simply by moving.

Taking a glimpse over to Damien, then back to the demon, a small smile broke out underneath the scarf that he wore. They were weak enough to be held down by the spiritual pressure of Damien? How interesting. Was this their commander? How very...

Huh.

There was something he hadn't had in a while. Losing his train of thought. He couldn't think of the words that he could use to describe that strange demon. But, either way, Henrex was not there to analyze the... "army". He was there to fight them. Wringing his wrists out, before once again allowing his eyes to drift away from the immobile demon, before setting his eyes on the Arrancar of the group. Tilting his head to the side once again, before bringing his hands out of his pockets, a single pale hand extended from his side, before his index finger protruded outwards towards Kairaa.

"I'll take...you."

In that instant, Henrex was gone. Reappearing moments later, directly in front of her, his hand shot out, grabbing the girl by the throat, before zipping off, with the Arrancar in tow. Running off at 400 MPH, mixing in Flash Step with this massive burst of movement, Henrex would fling the Arrancar away from him, creating around five feet of free space between the two. Turning his neck to the side once again, and hearing loud cracks coming from it, Henrex's hands slowly retreated from his pockets, before dangling at his sides.

So, with a deep sigh, he would speak to the Arrancar woman.

"Alright. This is going to be a one-on-one fight. No help from your friends, and no running away. You chose to come here, and now you're going to face the punishment. To add to that..."

As his voice trailed off, Henrex's dual energies of both Shinigami and Demon spread outwards, mixing in his natural Akuma Kyodo ability with a decent portion of his energy to create an extremely powerful barrier that would require a Master level of Strength in order to break it. So, with that set, Henrex's hands would raise to his shoulders, before flicking outwards, sending an extremely large amount of projectile weapons towards the woman. If she were to be struck by any of these, she would find herself undergoing quite the number of effects.

From paralysis, poisoning, turning their body into sludge, setting their body ablaze, to even freezing their body entirely, these needles would be very difficult to dodge due to the sheer number of them. At least two-hundred and fifty were zooming towards Kairaa. But, Henrex would be gone before the storm of steel was clear. With a burst of movement, Henrex would be three feet behind the woman, before flicking his arms outward over and over, sending hundreds of shuriken towards her. While these would seem harmless, these were specifically modified to fit the modern day. With the ability to cut through some of the lower levels of Akuma Kyodo and Hierro, these throwing weapons were anything but harmless.

After this, Henrex would then reveal a beautiful blue gem, glimmering as the sun's rays reflected off of it's crystal clear surface, but also bursting with power. The Nemesis Rune, as it was called, was incredibly potent in this area. Through manipulation the moisture in the area, which happened to be the snowflakes that were falling to the kiss the milky ground. Their moisture would be what fueled the Nemesis Rune's power. With the flakes soon changing and morphing into thousands of icicles, they too would join in the attack that was being placed.

And finally, it would come down to the close combat that Henrex would initiate. After the previous onslaught of attacks, Henrex would leap forward, his hands reaching to behind his back, and grabbing at two things that resided at his waist. Ripping the silver blade of his Zanpakuto from the hilt, and pulling a hidden kunai from his waist, he shot forward at astounding speeds, meeting the Arrancar in melee range damn near instantly.

Hundreds of slashes would be issued from the two weapons that Henrex held. All the while, there would be orbs of pitch black forming around Kairaa, before forming themselves into spikes. As this were to happen, Henrex would break the connection between them, sliding backwards smoothly as the spikes would quickly shoot towards her, aiming to impale whatever was standing in it's way. But, there would be more than meets the eye to what these spikes would do. While they were deadly on their own, there was an even worse after effect that would be in play.

The moment that they touched the ground, the particles inside the energy would destabilize, and detonate mere moments after that. With an extremely large blast radius, as well as there being a lot of them, Kairaa would have little chance of escape. After this, Henrex's body would then lower itself from the guard it had been in. Controlling his exhausted breathing, and forcing himself to appear fine, Henrex would stare the Arrancar directly in the eye. There was most likely a corpse laying in front of him.

Hopefully not, though.

So, Henrex stood there with his hands on his weapons, his eyes narrow, and his mind clear.

They had better get up.

The Righteous Guardian

TOSHIKO KAMENASHI

A Battle against the Vandenreich's Best 6EdIfMt

Artist: Teminite - Song: Ascent - Word Count: 602

Toshiko grunted as she slowly walked through the cold as FUCK area that was known as Antartica; likely coming here with her "adopted" sister, Niflheim. But, Toshiko ended up getting separated somehow; probably because Toshiko bothered with creating a path of reishi so she would have to trudge along on the snow. Eventually, the girl was sprinting on the reishi path; attempting to reach the battlefield so she could appropriately defend the Vandenreich's name. After all, some rogue, bastard demons were simply attacking them for no apparent reason. To Toshiko, this was a good chance to test her Railgun out on her opponents. She lightly touched the lock of blonde hair mixed in with her brown hair as she continued sprinting down the reishi path. Toshiko was certainly what one would call pissed the fuck off in this situation. As the girl was sprinting, she released a vast amount of her energy; slamming the clutch and changing the gears as she switched into her Vollstandig, flying in the air in her Artillery Configuration. She flew along, nearing mach 1 as she finally stopped a good 300 meters away from the group as she got into a kneeling position; her railgun aimed towards the conflict. Toshiko exhaled softly as she focused before grinning.

"I wonder whose head'll be blown up today? You... you? How abouut... YOU!"

Due to being 300 meters away, Toshiko could not be heard; hell she could barely even be seen. After all, she was nearly 1000 feet away; a rough conversion from meters to feet. She tapped the trigger of her railgun as she trained her sights on Eric Zarathos; making sure to aim in between any enemies and friendlies. Toshiko then hacked a satellite above Antarctica and put up her E.T.S. With it, she now knew the general position of the enemies she could not see through her scope. Toshiko mumbled calculations to her self, as well as thinking of the current wind speed and other factors. Toshiko then sighed softly as she focused the reishi in the action of the railgun; waiting for the right moment. Toshiko grinned as she amped up her normal speed in all sorts; making sure that she was pushing the limits of her Railgun's normal mach 4 travelling speed. She was about to fire before she looked around at hte battle itslef; seeing how much of a cluster fuck it was. Toshiko groaned and leaned backwards, she pulled her eye away from her scope and then sighed once more.

"Jeez, how the hell can I even join when this is already a major ass clusterfuck? Jesus..."

Toshiko scratched her head, moving the visor in front of her eyes some so she could see with her own eyes; staring at the spectacle. Toshiko simply spit to the side and lowered the visor once more. She then simply waited, using some Reishi to create a "veil" of sorts for her; hiding herself until she shot. However, she would not shoot until someone tried to escape; and it would only be a debilitating shot. Much like one to the leg or foot, only something to stop and hopefully not kill. After all, Toshiko may have killed many demons in her defense during the time the demons invaded Europe, but, she didn't know if it was right to kill this one. After all, Toshiko herself was the one questioning if the demons needed to be killed or not... would be a good time to see in the end. Hopefully, Toshiko would find her answers.

His eyes narrowed at the charging beast as she came roaring at him without plan or strategy. This was foolish and naive of her to believe such a thing would work. Kenpachi had fought all sorts he guessed in the past. He didn't care who he gutted today this girl would suit him just fine. Gently he tapped his zanpakuto's blade on his shoulder. Her movements were obvious and clear enough he could see them. Damien didn't really plan to do anything else. But she asked him for it, he dodged her moveable to read and detect the line of her punch rather easily. With a lightning movement, he sliced the female's arm. Cutting through it and sending it to the ground. But he wasn't done yet as he slashed sideways now aiming to cut the female in half at the hip. Using his skill he cut into the world leaving a line there where her hip would be. This would allow him to cleanly cut her in half. Damien wasn't playing games in this situation. But he noticed others arriving as he gently brought his zanpakuto to rest on his shoulder. This was a suitable revenge he could do the rest if he desired. So far he sensed another likely to drop. This wasn't over by any means in the slightest way. His eyes went to the female's form. If all had gone well he gave his sword a powerful swing using sheer might to crush her body into nothing. Two were likely either seriously wounded or dead. He sighed a bit cracking his neck a bit and loosened his form up. Damien was relaxed now as he'd gotten some of his anger out on the charging female. These naive brats were the use of Shadow Fall? No, he doubted it, why would that org send some idiotic children here? His hand slowly brought the sword down on his shoulder. " As a member of the Gotei, I do have a duty to make you understand what you've done wrong..These are allies killing their people is unacceptable. " He said calmly as his stone eyes settled on the remaining people. Zorin wasn't his target or even interesting to him. She'd set herself up for failure by attacking without studying her enemy.

Thus why she lost her arm in a counter attack where he used a lot of his strength. Then getting cut in half maybe didn't spell good things for the female. Damien had proven what a Kenpachi was in truth. They were skilled and deadly warriors. Capable of fighting without releasing anything in powers. Damien's nephew Tetsuya was a pretty close one to that as well. He believed that boy was as close to him as you could potentially get. But that wasn't the point here, Damien was just here to make sure the other people didn't move much. Zorin's choice to charge was her own and he took no care for it. The female had made her bed by attacking him like that. The motion he'd done previously was so smooth and clean. A counter slice where the arm was cut off at the elbow. Then a spinning slice before even a blink could be done. Slicing her clean through her body. If all went well the female's body had been successfully sliced in half.

However, if she managed to dodge demon would still do considerable damage to her. Cutting through several arteries and internal organs in the process. She'd attacked a Kenpachi blindly and this was what the effect and cause were. Of such an attempt on him, Damien as a physical fighter was extremely skilled and exceptional in his own right.

Well, this whole thing was super fun, now wasn't it? Mirja got some nutball charge blindly at her without taking a moment to judge the situation or evaluate her target. She was pretty quick, and so that probably blinded her to the reality of the situation, where she might be facing someone who was quicker, or who could easily track her movements. Unfortunately for her, she got someone who could do both. Mirja's eyes had a brilliant ability to slow down the perception of something oncoming in relation to how fast it was. It didn't speed her up at all, so if something was too fast for her to react to, she needed to throw in a bit of help. Despite not being outmatched like when she had faced Tsubasa, Mirja still activated an Enhanced Physical Instant, since she had a lot to do. Within that instant, Mirja seemed to do a lot of things.

The first, was with the arrival of Henrex, she deemed everyone who was going to arrive as arrived, and threw out three stones from a pouch she was wearing. By the time Shiki was in range to attack Mirja, they had covered the area in a pitch black dome, cutting off the inside from the outside and negating all attempts to teleport out. The only way out now, was through the dome, and that wasn't something Mirja was going to give them the time to accomplish. The second, was the materialization of a pitch black mask on Mirja's face, gathering slowly so that it was donned after Shiki's feint and momentumless drop-kick hit Mirja square in the chest. And then, the third thing would become evident, as Mirja seemed to vanish and leave behind her Shihakusho like the molted skin of a Cicada.

The Real Mirja, had darted past Shiki, within her Slip-Stream, and was targeting the person that was highlighted as the leader of this group by her Runes. He smelled the weakest, and so how he ruled must have been by another manner, but that mattered little to Mirja. using her Fangs of the Wind, Mirja suddenly stopped in front of him and in the same moment, a tremendous blast of air pressure would roar from her like a primordial dragon. Over Three thousand miles per hour, brought down to nothing and the resulting force used to kick upwards, controlled with such incredible precision that he could feel the sheer destructive power of the kick, without being actually hit by it. The force of the kick would be enough to turn bones to dust, and the microscopic snow and dust particles would be accelerated to such a high speed they would act as lethal cutting instruments, stripping the body of every scrap of flesh in a terrible, violent move that would seem to happen within a single heartbeat. It would become immensely clear to him that, were that attack to connect - and with the situation as it was, there was nothing other than Mirja's own thoughts standing between it hitting, and it simply acting as a warning - then he would no longer be along the living. Hell, he wouldn't be among the structurally intact.

"The Battlefield is no place for people like you. Go home" She ordered, her voice distorted and elderich from her Hollow mask, and her terrifying sulfur-yellow eyes able to bore through the deepest madness to strike home the message in the psyche of that which it stared at.
