The Street Rats Are Huge Here! [OPEN]

Rudi! playing street rat!
Las Rejilla was massive, a city just for arrancar and hollow. And like any other city, Las Rejilla had its slums, for the weak and the unwanted, the sick and the abandoned, the betrayed and the traitors all in once. This specific slum also contained a specific arrancar, young, perhaps his parents were killed or perhaps he never had parents at all.
In this case, like everything else, this was a ruse. Rudi was a constructed child, perhaps it could be said he was his own parent unknowingly. He wandered the slums because hew as much of what was spoken above. He was the abandoned, the betrayed, the traitors, the weak, the unwanted, and perhaps more. Despite the glow of his tail and horns lighting his way through the relative darkness.
Rudi wandered the streets alone. Dirt clung to his legs and short and oversized sweater. The only thing seemingly dirt-free about him were the glowing ice-blue accessories to his little body. He used the glow to frighten away the little, rat-looking hollow that had populated this place. Several were the size of his feet, others came up to his knees. They all fought to survive, same as him.
Since he had arrived here, Rudi spent his time exploring. The whole day, he explore every nook and cranny he could find. However, it had long become late in the day. The stores and restaurant closed, and there was no one to beg for enough money to find a place to sleep. And so Rudi wandered this place, looking for a little corner. Most had been taken up by the homeless arrancar. He had found other street rats like him in another slum, but they drove him out.
The little arrancar found an old, thrown-away mattress in an alleyway. On it was several dog-like hollow, sleeping together. He approached, and one cocked its head up to growl. Rudi, in a surprising show of anger, growled back. He was sleepy, tired, and grumpy. He wanted this spot. One hollow leaped to his small body, only to watch it disappear underneath its paws and a blade pierced into its forehead through its mask.
The other two were smarter, more careful. As Rudi moved to kill the second, the third leaped onto his arm and bit down with a sickening, audible crunch. Rudi didn't, however, seem to react with pain. Instead, an agonized yelp loud enough to be heard down the street sounded out as this third hollow felt Rudi's blood fill it from its mouth, destroying it from within. The yelp of pain increased to a howl of agony, and then was cut abruptly short.
Rudi watched his arm heal, within minutes. However, there was still the problem of his ripped sweater. He decided he would deal with it another day. Instead, he pinged around him to make sure no one dangerous was around. His senses telling him it was safe, he moved to curl up on the abandoned mattress and try to drift a little.

Rudi! playing street rat!
Rudi knew that someone powerful had showed up the second Kimimaro decided to show himself within the slums. He awoke to the sound of Kimimaro's blood pulsing through his veins, a song of power wrapped under the delicate ribbons of control, a predator scanning the environment with all the confidence of a master of his domain.
Were Rudi not infused with Chaos, he would have gotten up and run away before Kimimaro would ever have set eyes on him. In fact, his original instructions were always to run away when dealing with those more powerful than he. This has changed, as he had been changed by Mana's energy. So he stayed and waited, listening to the fighting.
He could track with his Bloodhound what had happened even before his ears met the sound. A single leader, slightly more powerful than his comrades, but a dull star compared to the bright flame that was Kimimaro. A discussion of politics flew over his head, and all he understood was the knowledge that the little, dull star, winked out from his mind's eye. The dull thud of a body against the earth confirmed it.
The body would be eaten, scavenged, if no one went to bury it. And with the running of the leader's friends, that fate was all but confirmed. Footfalls now, towards him. Rudi uncurled from his sleeping position, watching with his pink-red eyes and a blank, quiet observancy, of a field mouse watching the skies for the shadow of the hawk.
Kimimaro, upon looking down the alleyway, would see first the glow of Rudi's horns and tail, bright in the confines of the dark walls around them. Then, a flash of a child's smile as a dirty street rat uncurled like a cat out of slumber. "Hiya mister. I'm Rudi. You're pretty strong, aren't you?" A child's voice. Rudi was quite a sight. His hair was dirty like his clothes. His skin needed a good scrubbing. The right sleeve of his sweater was hanging by a thread, revealing pale, supple skin and shoulder underneath.
"What're you doing here, Mister? Are you looking for a place to sleep? This is my bed for the night." Despite his friendliness, one hand had moved to creep onto his blade, and his body was tense. Ready to create a garganta and leap on through in case this stranger decided that he wanted whatever Rudi had, just as he had fought off the hollow who wanted to fight for mattress rights.
