Some things didn't come naturally to anyone, figuring out energy was a trial and error thing. Upon a stone, in the middle of the park, he sat focusing his mind in meditation. It had been a long time since he did this. Focusing his mind towards the goal ahead he wanted to build on to something. First with Mana came the realization that a Quincy could handle Demonic Energy in small amounts. Next with Desmond came the understanding it went far beyond that. Those energies had their own frequencies and things that he could tamper with. That by using his skill set he could manipulate the fabric of his own energy to suit others. They were as much alive as the people they came from with a glow and light of their own. A ribbon of red was known to be the one for a shinigami's color. The question was what was he doing here as he sensed his surroundings. Preparing and meditating on the energies he'd interacted with. They were something very different from reishi. BY delicate manipulating his own energy he could create a conduit that would handle small amounts of other energy.
But there was more to it he believed, something deeper as he felt the flame flicking around him. This entire place had an energy to it. He could sense them and almost reach out and touch them as he remained still. Finding the center and focusing on what needed to be done. First thing was manipulating the energy and drawing it in. The energy required a different frequency as he calmly sat and got used to it. Figuring out what sort of frequency and energy it was. Slowly but surely he began to pull in small amounts feeling it burn in his veins. He stopped the process exhaling he released it back out. He was beginning to understand it, a flow of sorts. A push and pull among energy where it needed to flow naturally along a current. It was like it traveled towards a destination naturally. The outcome wasn't entirely clear as he began to ponder offensive uses for it.
But he was jumping the gun, repeating what happened against Hayden would have been a fool errand. That first time without thinking about how it worked exactly he tried a move. He didn't consider Death Matter for what it's name implied. It was an energy that had no amount of issues that he could detect. But energy a physical being he could interact with more. His digits slowly moved as one arm slowly extended. Gently his fingers made contact as he felt a physical form to it all. Quincy could touch this energy and manipulate it. Interact with this in ways people hadn't ever seen. It took intense focus for him to see the world this way. But he could see the energy around him. Feel the pulsing of the veins of the world itself as it flowed. His fingers softly trailed as he petted along the line's tail before resting his breathing. There wasn't a simple answer and this didn't mean he found a new level. Rather what it meant was he would need more time. The frequency of this energy was soft. It was like this energy had a breathing rhythm and he was trying to pick up on it. Syncing his own to it as he located it's pattern slowly.
He had no concept of time while meditating this deeply, days could have gone by without him noticing. He was hyper aware and yet not at the same time. The study was required in this instance to develop something entirely new. To become something other than the Former Emperor. Ghislain was going on a pathway to a new him. Inhaling a breath he felt the energy pull towards him and move to his location. As he exhaled it withdrew back to its original location. It was breathing with him, it wasn't about being in sync. It was already there it was about obtaining a peace within. A few birds landed on his form as he began focusing. It was becoming clearer that the energy had a color. A pattern of its own that it followed his. Meditation was considered an art that most people didn't follow. He didn't know what to think of the current situation of this world. His position and desiring to find the Lost Quincy tribes. That was all laid bare here and left with nothing.
No motivations, no goals of becoming the strongest. It was about going with this natural flow of the energy. Feeling yourself travel along its lines. Slowly he began to feel the energy come to him naturally. His meditation was drawing in the energy slowly. Letting it build into him, it was like a timid animal. Once still and giving off the right emotional energy. It came to him alone slowly pouring in all over. His energy began to refill and injuries of battles began to restore. This was interesting, to say the least. Meditating he emptied himself of things and let the energy fill him. It was warm and somehow very much alive. It had a lovely emerald color to it, that seemed to flow with life. It was the grass and the trees that this energy slowly fixed the damages. This meditation couldn't be used in a combative way. It didn't have the possibility for that to happen. Ghislain didn't understand quite yet what was happening here. This moment reminded him of Elizabeth and the time they spent.
Accepting his fate and what must be done was one thing as he began to understand something else as well. Guidance would be needed the forms his people had were incomplete. They needed to be completed as well. Ghislain himself was an incomplete person presently. So, for now, he would focus in on something of importance. Desmond and one other could help him complete the martial arts their people practiced. They were Monks before the war and he could feel something telling him he was close. His blut felt different from before. Each drop of blood was alive with power and waiting for him to discover further what was going on. He would remain here for weeks if he had too. He wanted to see just how far this could go. Meditation in perhaps each world would leave him to a greater discovery. Maybe it would grant him something new that he'd not seen before. He could see a fighting style using the very energy of the place around you.
The image was there but still unclear on how you'd do such a thing. Meditating in the middle of battle to find this center hardly seemed productive. His breathing returned to normal as the energy flowed back to its regular position. His eyes slowly opened as he glanced upwards at the night sky through the trees. He'd been sitting here for twenty-four hours so far. The breakthrough was slow but something was definitely there. So far his body had made a partial recovery from some damages. If he sat maybe a while long it would get stronger, his bodies cells seemed to naturally absorb the energy from the world around him. Once he understood it's function, once he saw how this energy worked. It was similar to reishi in many respects but different in so much more. Quincy was such short sighted beings to not notice this before. He bowed his head a bit thanking the world for the discovery as he prepared himself to continue this deep meditation, it was time to go into combative uses soon.
