Lost abandonment in the monsuta
Tue Jan 03, 2017 6:49 pm
Yoma had gotten lost and confused forgetting what he had been doing previously yet he knew he wanted to strive for something more. He had just continued his life in the same cycle over and over being dragged by fate. Yoma Wandered the vast desert just for something. He knew that he needed to be the to find something to strive for. What was the purpose of his other self? And what was the purpose of his Zanpakutō? How far could he take his powers? Yoma was buried with questions.
Yoma kept wandering the desert, there seemed to be nothing but his own footprints and just random cactus, They seemed unphased by the empty desert and the increasing heat and pressure. All he knew was that he was in a desert belonging to the monsuta within the middle east, where in the middle east yoma had no idea since he never care about the small details. What an organization would want with a desert he would never know but we would at least be able to enjoy his trip here.
“Im so bored isn’t there anyone here to have some fun with or even spar with?”
Yoma threw himself into the sand shouting like a small child bored crazy out of his mind. He had had been confused in what he wanted to do he affiliated himself with all the organizations he had been in before. He wanted a fresh start and something new the desert felt like running in circles 2 hours in the desert was like days.
Yoma stood up he could feel a rumbling within his body, he knew it was his other half, something was going on. Yoma didn’t know what he had planned but Yoma held a great distaste for him. He hated his personality and his actions, he couldn't understand why he was the way he was or why he even exists. He did know that his existence has helped him survive to this point and make it alive.
Yoma pulled out a small bottle of water he held in his pouch on his side and drank from it, He took a look at the memories or small objects he collected and placed his side pouch. It was filled to the brim with nothing but rocks and space to hold his bottle. To yoma rocks were an extension of his strength and so was the earth. Since he had been able to use the earth to help him fight and boost up his strength.

Much like the other individual, Athanase was wandering this desert. However, unlike the other, he did it with a purpose. He had earlier decided that he should scan over most of the Monsuta's territories, especially those in the Middle East which were close to other organizations. He had chosen to briefly scope out this desert for signs of potential. He was wondering whether or not building in the desert would be an efficient strategy for a forward base of sorts. There was plenty of open space here, and an enemy wouldn't first look in a desert, at least he thought.
It was during this scoping out of the area that he heard someone yelling. He felt inclined to check it out. After walking for a bit, he soon came upon the emitter of the noise he had heard. He was somewhat surprised by them being out alone in the desert lying down on the sand. Though, from their previous exclamation of apparent boredom, he assumed they were alright enough. In fact, now that he payed attention, this person didn't seem to be of enormous strength. He did indeed seem to be around his own level, if Athanase gauged him correctly. He could use this situation to his advantage, given that he wished to become stronger. He addressed them.
"If you wish to spar, I believe I may be able to accommodate."

Yoma had put the bottle back where it belonged and readied to continue on with his journey. He had given up on the hopes of finding someone in this desert to keep him company. The rumblings that he felt in his body just told him he needed to obtain strength to overcome that which lies in himself. Yoma walked over to a cactus and pulled out his Zanpakutō. Yoma’s Zanpakutō had appeared to be in a horrible condition filled with cracks and losing its color the reason unknown to him the hilt had seemed if it was ready to break but yet Yoma still held it ready to strike the cactus. In a single well focused horizontal swing Yoma struggle to cut the catus in two. Yoma sighed as he felt like his was losing his strength. Yoma was still bored but he had heard something that could possibly change his outlook on his current situation.
“If you wish to spar, I believe I may be able to accommodate.”
Hearing this filled Yoma with hope, he wasn't the only one stuck in this god forsaken desert stuck with only catus to talk to and call a friend. Yoma turned to see where the voice had come from to see a tall pall male figure behind him with gloves and a long robe or cloak like coat.
“Hello it’s a pleasure to meet you,”
Yoma bowed a bit ungracefully as he still held the sword in his hand bowing only made the hilt hit him in the head causing him to almost tip over a bit. Yoma continued speaking while holding his head a bit in pain.
“Ow, that hurt. My name is Yoma Yazaki, and i am former shinigami of the gotei, i mean i'm a shinigami but no longer part of the gotei, i'm confusing myself but i think i said it right. I am happy i'm not the only one out here i thought i would die alone out here. I would love to spar just do be aware i am not anything special. I’m pretty weak but i am hoping to someday grow strong i just need some help doing that.”
Yoma was excited and energetic for a new encounter and this person seemed great and kind already. His energetic nature had caused him to be a bit confused in his wording but he was ready to start. Yoma held his sword up showing his inexperience but yet familiarity with the weapon. He moved back a small distance and took on a rough stance. He looked at the other man ready to begin.
“I am ready to go at anytime just tell me when you are, just be careful things are about to get a bit hot.”
Yoma thought to himself how cool that sounded and kept increasing his excitement.

Athanase examined the man in front of him. He appeared to be quite an excitable individual, and a tad clumsy. He was reassured in his assessment, the man did indeed to appear rather low in power. This was reaffirmed even more when they themselves admitted that they weren't anything special. This was an ideal opponent, at least for now. Athanase hadn't fought much before, so he was somewhat relieved at the fact that the man was a shinigami. A shinigami of this power level was extremely unlikely to have unlocked shikai, at least from what he'd read about them. No shikai meant that they were unlikely to pull out any strange abilities.
All color would near instantly drain from him as his coat too seemed to fade away. This left him an apparent silhouette of the darkest black as he squared off against his opponent. His back hunched slightly as he assumed a kind of boxing pose, though his arms were lower and in a position more focused on striking and less focused on protecting his upper body. His arms would appear to very slightly flex as he practiced compressing them, a small technique he had learned using body manipulation. The aim was to compress them and release upon a punch, adding extra force behind his strikes. Confident that he had it down, he addressed the man before him once more.
"My name is Athanase. You may initiate when ready."

Yoma grew ready to move and strike, he stood still and waited for his opponent before hearing his opponent give him the go ahead to start. The man before him had thrown off his coat and announced his name as Athanase. The color from his body had happened to fade away and disappear while Athanase took on a stance completely unfamiliar to him. Yoma knew he could not allow a repeat of his past fights he needed to learn from them if he wanted to win. He took a moment to focus and kept his eyes on his opponent, curious of what they would do. They were confident in themselves otherwise they wouldn’t be so keen to allow yoma to strike first. that meant Yoma had to be careful. Yoma had learn this much at least from his previous encounters.
The rumbling and feeling in his soul had stopped, his other half was watching and he knew this, This battle would be more than just a sparring match but to see if his power has further improved. Yoma was keen to prove himself, increasing the grip on his broken down Zanpakutō Yoma used his feet to kick up sand into the air and try to lower his opponent’s visibility while at the same time rushing towards his opponent. Yoma knew that rushing in blindly would be stupid so if his opponent would attempt to do a forward strike he would use one of his flame mines he had created on his feet while running to use the momentum to jump and perform an attack from above. Yoma did not know what kind of stance this was so he was not sure if it was capable to easily stop an attack from above.
otherwise if no forward attack happens then yoma would continue running and set a charge to burst from his feet to use the moment to push him to Athanase’s side and strike him from that angle. Hoping that it could deal some damage to them quickly. Yoma knew at that point he would have to the pull back as quick as possible or risk getting hurt by a follow up attack. He wasn’t willing to leave himself open but he knew nothing of his opponent. Yet this all pumped yoma up and increased his excitement he was ready to go all out and do his best to win.

Athanase prepared himself. He had been thinking of a way to use his assets to his advantage, and he now thought that he had found a way to do so. He watched his opponent carefully, remaining motionless. His opponent then began taking action. Athanase thought it was smart to try to limit his vision, but they had no way of knowing it wouldn't work. He could see them perfectly clearly, reading each movement his opponent made. They charged straight at him, but he remained motionless, still in the same position he had taken earlier. He prepared himself to respond to his opponents attack. He knew that his opponent probably wouldn't attack head on, unless they really thought he couldn't see nor hear them at all, which was unlikely, unless they weren't smart. Even if they attacked him head on, if they weren't smart he could probably easily retaliate anyway, so he prepared himself for a more indirect attack, focusing on his opponents finer movements.
Athanase was somewhat surprised when his opponent suddenly sped up and arrived at his right side. He had been expecting some form of trick or an attack from the front that was done in a defensive position of sorts, or one just easily pulled away from, perhaps some kind of feint. But apparently, his opponent was capable of bursts of speed, and Athanase had heard a bang of sorts when that burst began. He wondered if his opponent could utilize explosives in some sense. If their abilities were elemental, perhaps they could include some control over fire or wind? He would have to wait and see.
Back to the immediate situation at hand, his opponent was now attacking from Athanase's right side, and even though he had arrived there rather quickly, Athanase could still clearly sense where he currently was. As soon as his opponent would attempt to slash at him, he would cease his motionless state. Entirely ignoring his opponents attack, instead relying on his guaranteed ability to survive such a blow as his defense, he reached out with his right hand as fast as he could, aiming to grab his opponent's neck. If successful in grabbing his opponent, he would immediately bring his left fist into their stomach, attempting to wind them. With that done, he would let go of their neck to bring his right first into the same place, though this time thrusting down to try to throw his opponent to the ground. He would then assume his former stance, waiting to see how'd they respond.
If aforementioned grab attempt didn't prove successful, he would choose to take another action. If his opponent managed to press on into his attack, having ducked or otherwise dodged, Athanase would attempt to grapple them with a hug of sorts, then continuing into the two punches to the stomach of before, except this time both done with his right hand, using his left hand to try to hold his opponent in place. If his opponent instead were to not press his attack, but instead dodge, Athanase's next actions would vary depending on if they were still within range. If they were out of range, he would simply assume his former position and remain motionless once more, awaiting their next move. If they were within range, Athanase would attempt to rush them, attempting to surprise them with his lack of regard to their attacks. He would try to strike them wherever he could a few times before bringing his arms into a defensive position in front of him and quickly backing off, then assuming his former stance, remaining motionless until his opponent made their next move.

Yoma had to stop his attack as he swung and immediately retreat, using flame charges once again he created on his feet and bursting backwards to avoid Athanase attempt to grab him, Yoma had to react quick as he did not see the attempt to grab him until the very last moment. He felt the tips of his fingers slowly slide off his neck and returned back to the same distance he was at before. Athanase returned to his original stance while to yoma he was back the same distance away. He had basically wasted energy to start over. At this moment he knew Athanase had the advantage and possibly used no energy the whole time.
Yoma was annoyed, yet he wouldn’t allow his face to show his emotions he just focused on his next action, but he kept trying to figuring out what to do. what can he do without wasting much energy? What would be the best course of action? To yoma his brain kept scrambling to search for the answer.
You Lost, Your using your knowledge as an excuse for your fear, I understand you don’t want to lose, i feel the same but your time is up.
Yoma heard a voice he knew he it was, it was His other self, he knew what they said was true. He didn’t want to lose but yet Yoma was afraid of not being able to do the right thing, Yoma was known as nothing more but a weakling. He wasn’t very strong but he wanted to win. He wanted to win but didn’t want to allow his other half to take over, he was ready to fight him as well.
His other half had quickly taken over Yoma, Yoma was no match for his other half and was no longer in control of his body. All of this had happen in a moment yet there was no physical change in Yoma , To Athanase all he would notice was Yoma’s focused looks on him for the moment that everything happened.
To win you have to be willing to make sacrifices, now allow me to show you.
Alter knew that his other self had no chance of winning he wasn't willing to lose anything but to Alter he was ready to sacrifice everything, He wanted to obtain power to survive and in order to that one must grow through battle.
Alter changed his stance and took another focused look at his opponent. He wanted to know what weaknesses could he find but in the moment he looked he just couldn't spot ant all he knew is that some chaos would be able to shake things up. Alter focused his energy and grew ready to release it. Yoma repeated his previous action kicking up sand and dashed forward to athanase this time once he got into range he released his pressurized area creating a field of heavy pressure in hopes of slowing down Athanase’s movements. Alter had no plans for alternative plans he was going head first directly to athanase to give him a full slash. Yoma had created a fire mine on the ground he was standing on directly in front of athanase ready to burst it if needed.

As soon as Athanase would set himself back into position, he would watch his opponent as carefully as possible, as he had been doing up until now. He wondered whether or not he should aim to end the fight as quickly as he could. On one hand, prolonging the fight could test and potentially lead to improving his endurance. On the other hand, if the fight could be ended quickly, that would mean it was at least somewhat of an unbalanced match from the beginning. If such was true, it was possible that prolonging the fight wouldn't be worth it, and the time spent fighting a weaker opponent could be better invested elsewhere. The latter of the two options ended up winning out in the end. If his opponent was worth his time, trying his best wouldn't lead to a premature end, and if that wasn't so, so be it.
Athanase focused on his opponent, trying to read whatever move that they might make next. His opponent had pulled back very quickly from his last attempted attack. This could mean that they were either very cautious, nervous to some degree, or superior to Athanase in terms of speed and were able to read his attack. As his last attack did almost hit, Athanase assumed that his opponent wasn't terribly faster than him, or at least didn't possess the reflexes to effectively capitalize on it. Also considering the apparent power level of his opponent, being similar to his, it was likely that his opponent was very new at combat. This seemed to suggest that the second option would be most likely, and if his opponent was nervous, they would likely try their best to use hit and run tactics, especially after he had almost grabbed them by the throat. If such was so, it could prove difficult to end the match very quickly. However, a thought then occurred to Athanase. If his opponent was nervous, he may be able to exploit this by playing more aggressively. The added pressure could further unnerve his opponent, and Athanase could just wait for a mistake to be made on their part and exploit it.
Athanase didn't have much more time to think, as his opponent seemed to be once more mobilizing themselves to attack. Like last time, they kicked up sand in hopes to lower his vision, something that would once more prove futile. However, instead of entirely ignoring it, perhaps he could use it to his advantage. As his opponent would charge at him, Athanase would take a step back and hold his left arm over his eyes, pretending to shield them from the sand as if it had gotten in his eyes. His right arm would also cross in front of him at about stomach level with palm outward, feigning a vague attempt at blocking his opponent. Likely unbeknownst to his opponent, Athanase's arms would compress somewhat into themselves, preparing a counter. As his opponent began approaching striking range, however, Athanase felt a pressure spawn around them. It was a hot pressure, and served to make it slightly harder to move around, which could potentially prove problematic.
Athanase would make his move just as his opponent's attack would connect with him. Depending on which direction his opponent's blade would approach from, Athanase's arm on that side would swing out from its position. Although Athanase was slightly slowed from the pressure around, his arm would decompress and stretch outwards, giving him a bit of extra range. This coupled with the potential surprise from the sudden response would hopefully be enough to allow his responding arm to grasp the opponent's blade as far towards the hilt as was possible. This would soon be followed with a short yank towards himself, attempting to throw the opponent off balance. At the same time, Athanase's free arm would snap from its position towards his opponents face, swinging towards their jaw in an outward arc while decompressing. If the hit landed, the impact combined with the pull on their blade could throw them completely off balance as well as make them dizzy. Athanase would then draw his attacking hand back to his side before thrusting it forward, aiming for his opponent's stomach.
If all went well, his opponent's balance would be crippled, at least for now. Athanase would make his next move based upon his opponent's further actions or any potential reactions to his counter and assault.

Yoma had continued his attack, He wanted to test his theory with the sand. He wanted to know if his opponent had some way of knowing where they were even without their sense of vision. Since the actions before with his other half seemed strange. Athanase knew somehow where he would strike from. To Yoma this was strange as he must have some sort of power. Yoma thought to himself how he wouldnt let the power get the best of him.
As Yoma continued with his action on his opponent to strike him but he noticed that athanase had shielded his eyes. Did this mean they was just dumb luck when they predicted the actions earlier or something else? He wasn’t going to let this distract him. He increased the output of his pressurized area to at least futher abuse the heat in the area and affect the ground he wanted Athanse to be slowed and lose his footing.
Yoma’s sword swing had been stopped his zanpakuto had hit athanase but it did nothing his blade had just had all of its momentum stopped and athanase arms had compressed into themselves. Yoma at this moment knew something was up and placed all the remaining charges he could into his zanpakuto before readying his next action. It was too late to escape from athanase’s zone as it seemed Athanase had planned already their reaction. The next thing yoma know a hand that was not his attempted to pull on the zanpakuto and Yoma knew something else was up.
Quickly as his Zanpakuto was grabbed another fist was heading to hit yoma. He could see this one as it had been slowed down just enough to be seen. He abandoned his zanpakuto and caused two of the mines he had placed on it to blow. His zanpakuto reacted differently to the mines then normal. The Mines were all going off erratically and they seemed more intense than normal consuming the entire blade in flames and each part constantly exploding. Yoma used the explosions to get away but his strength was suddenly feeling drained and the mine he had placed in front of athanase suddenly went off out of his control. His pressurized area faded away and avoided athanase punch by falling to ground drained of all power. His zanpakuto was still going crazy releasing waves of flames in all directions with no cause or care.
Yoma had no idea what was going on but just it all seemed to end suddenly he could see the blade on his zanpakuto shatter each sounding like a loud scream as to broke apart. All that was left was a charred hilt still barely intact with a sliver of metal you could hardly even call a blade much less a kitchen knife. Yoma could feel a horrible pressure around his body keeping his down. All he knew was he couldn’t keep fighting and stared at the ground punching it.
“Damn it i lost. Looks like you win athanase. Either way throughout the whole battle you held the control you win. Don’t think you will get away with that i will eventually want a rematch. Once i figure out what happened to my damn sword. Looks like it's now a worthless paper weight. Wonder if i can get a new one. What the hell am i going to do now?”
Yoma got up even with the strange pressure on his body he wasn't going to stay down. but he was defeated and it annoyed him how hated to lose he wanted to get stronger but this battle just seemed to make things much more difficult now. Yoma wonder how his other half would act once he figured out his zanpakuto had broken.

Athanase would be quite surprised by the events that would seemingly unfold with him contributing very little to their happening. One moment, his attacked seemed to be working. His clenched fist was on its way to impact his opponent's jaw in a successful strike that could very well decide the battle. Instead, however, the battle appeared to rather decide itself, and quite flashily so. One moment he was attacking, the next moment there were constant explosions. Athanase soon pinpointed where from the mass of flames and force was originating, and so distanced himself from source as quickly as he could. He attempted to jump backward, but due to the lingering pressure in the area around him and another explosion going off in front of him, he more so stumbled backward until he was safely distanced from the flames. Unlike the previous attacks his opponent had attempted, the multiple explosions he had been subjected to had left him with significant tears in the right side of his torso. Though he had been about to, he decided against accelerating his regeneration, seeing as how his opponent's weapon seemingly blew itself up, now lying on the ground in charred pieces. Seeing his opponent now lying on the ground himself, seemingly done with the fight, Athanase relaxed and decided to approach.
Athanase looked down on his opponent as they spoke. He decided it would probably be polite if he were to offer them a hand up, but they got up on their own in time, so he didn't have to. After some moments of silence, Athanase had a thought. His opponent seemed to be lost to some degree. He was, after all, in the middle of a desert, and he had mentioned that he was a former member of the Gotei. This could be to his own advantage. They also apparently harbored a desire to become stronger, which would also make the execution of his thought easier. Having made up his mind, Athanase addressed this Yoma Yazaki.
"I do not believe you have to worry too much about your sword. From what I've read, Zanpakuto are able to be repaired, without outside help as well. And.. I do believe I may have a solution to your current predicament. You seem to be lost and without purpose, and I think I can remedy that. I am a member of the Monsuta. We are an organization that could very well suit you; we can satisfy your yearning for strength. We can provide you with resources, and you may train with us. We make sure to focus on each one of us as individuals; your needs will be met and more. Our goal is to liberate the Earth from oppression and unjust control. We have no ties except to each other, and we act on our own behalf without being tied down and inhibited by what others say. We train, we fight, and most importantly: we take action, even when others are afraid or otherwise unwilling to. From what little I've seen of you, you seem to be able to fit these previous statements well enough. We can offer you strength and purpose if you agree with our mission. If this is so, we will accept you as one of our own. Now, it is time to make a decision about whether you want to walk alongside us, and if so, I'd advise you to pick up what remains of your weapon and follow me. Whether you do or not, I will take my leave to the nearby Monsuta station in this area. I will then take transport to our headquarters, where, if you choose to follow, we may get you introduced and settled in. If you choose to not follow me back to headquarters, you may still follow me out of the desert, and what you do beyond that is not of my concern.
With this lengthy statement out of the way, Athanase would turn around and begin walking back to whence he entered the desert. He supposed he could stay here and attempt to further convince Yoma to join the Monsuta, but he had decided such was not worth the time. If he decided against joining, Athanase didn't want to spend the effort trying to force him. Even if such was successful, insincere members could prove harmful to the organization. And so he would continue walking away, whether or not they followed him.
