A MOST MELANCHOLIC RAVEN
Song: Kisetsu wa Tsugitsugi Shindeiku | Artist: TYERecords | Word Count: N/A
It felt relatively nice to get that off of his mind. He always kept his thoughts deeply locked in his mind, and never letting anyone know what he was thinking about. Perhaps it was the reason that he was currently feeling as such. Feeling so cold, and alone. Locking everyone out had left him in the one thing that he both loved and despised. he loved being alone, but yet despised the fact that his mind would always say that he was better off without anyone bothering him. So, for him to speak of his thoughts like this, especially to a complete stranger, it was something that he never saw himself doing at first.
But now, here he was.
He had lived for so long within this sort of mental state, that he should always just keep to himself. After Ieyasu died after the Summer Campaign of the Siege of Osaka, things never really were the same when it came to feeling as if he had accomplished things. It had only gotten worse, especially after the events that had led up to his death. He may have accomplished something during those times, but he had never really felt it. So, when the skeletal man said that it had been quite a long time, a few centuries since he had felt the sense of accomplishment, he most certainly was right.
But, it seemed that there was also something else that Rodolfo was interested in hearing about. As he said the word "her" in a questioning tone, along with the slightest purr in his voice, Henrex could tell that the skeletal man was very curious to see what reason was behind Henrex saying that. Moving to sit down, as well as pushing Henrex down gently so that he may enact the same notion, Henrex sat with his legs crossed over one another, and his hands sat in his lap. If he were to close his eyes, he could even appear to be meditating. But, he did not close his eyes. Instead, he would divulge into what he had meant when he said that individual's name.
"That 'her' is -- Cirno. Cirno Iramasha. We're siblings -- of sorts. We're not actually related, but we're close enough to be considered as such. She's the one who managed to repair most of the Moon. I just helped out. She's...amazing. Helping her out is something that makes me -- feel like I've truly accomplished something.

Rodolfo, awake,
and very, very curious
A sister, yes, that would explain it. An Iramasha sister... but this man was no Iramasha... or that is what he understood. The man didn't seem to have something similar to an Iramasha air about him, although he couldn't be sure without a taste of blood. And he doubted Henrex would allow himself to be bled for Rodolfo's own curiosity, regardless of how kind he was about it.
What other thing Rodolfo noticed was that Henrex did not use 'was'. This sister was, presumably, still alive. Henrex did not seem mournful or in pain when he spoke of her. Instead, he spoke of her as if she was still here, remembering fond memories of someone he held in high regard. He was quiet for a moment, contemplating again what to say to him.
Ultimately, he decided the bluntest way was the best. "Why are you not by her side now?"
Cutting, perhaps, but necessary. If he had a sister, he may have orther family. Maybe something happened. Maybe his sister was missing or captured for some reason. If Rodolfo could find out, he could unspin Henrex's neuroses and really get at what was eating him. Perhaps he had a recent failure, or perhaps it was a slow-crawling despair from repeated ones.
By the way he spoke, it seemed that perhaps the moon restoration had not gone exactly as planned. Perhaps this Cirno Iramasha was damaged, or similar. He rubbed at his mask again, making that ugly, near-rasping noise as his glove ran over the porous bone. Perhaps he should take it off. Henrex seemed relaxed enough that he didn't need it to protect his own identity.
Rodolfo paused, and then spoke again, hesitantly. "You may call me Rodolfo." He rasped out, as a reward for his cooperation, although he could see clearly that being able to talk about it was a reward in of itself for Henrex. Still, he wanted to do what he could to show properly how he could convince the stranger to loosen up and trust him a little more. After all, as he scanned through Rudi's memories, he found none of this stranger.
So long as Henrex didn't know of Rudi, or didn't put the two and two together, it was utterly safe to tell the man his name. This is what he had believed.

Cirno...
The energetic blue-haired Angel Iramasha that guided him to the right path, and gave him the hope, and the drive to become who he was today. Oh, how he hoped that he would end up seeing her again. But, she was someone who was busy. She ran the Guild of Heroes, had a wife with a child on the way, as well as having other duties to attend to as an Angel. She had things that she needed to get done. She probably didn't have time to see someone like him. So, a longing look passed over the mismatched eyes of the male, before they shut.
So, the bluntness of the question from Rodolfo cut at his heart, severing a good chunk of his thoughts to be set free. His head lowered slightly, and he sighed. His head rose, and his tired gaze set itself on Rodolfo. As the other man's hand drifted over the mask that seemed to be cracked in a single, straight line along the middle of it. His right eye twitched and winced as the hideous noise greeted him, and caused his eyes to close once again.
"Well, Rodolfo -- you keep reading me like a book, don't you?"
The words were flowing, calm, but yet tinged with anxiety. The muscles in his arms tensed, and his hands gripped his elbows, with his gazer refusing to meet Rodolfo's. It wasn't a matter of "would", as of now. It was a matter of "could". Could he tell him?
...
"She's...busy. She has a lover, a faction to run...she doesn't really have time for..."
His voice trailed off, and his hands gripped at himself even tighter.
"...For someone like me."
