EMBRACE THE MELANCHOLY

"Please keep your distance."
While the male was keen on inching closer to the woman -- Saiko was not. She had no interest at the moment in having her space invaded at the time being. There was still no trusting this individual wholly and the woman understood in her world view that this might be a trick. It is rather easy to poison a person when their guard is left down and The Mistress Of Glum was privy to that.
Which is why this Shadow Fall operative wanted to complete the mission of quarantining this portion of Chicago so that she could potentially move on to the next and get a grip on this absurd virus. So, when the walls were complete and this area was sealed shut, this ghost skinned maiden let off a hardened sigh from her pale lips and let her body begin to relax to catch itself after releasing such a high volume of energy. If nothing else, she felt she had deserved a little bit of cooldown as she wiped away a small amount of sweat from her forehead after achieving that feat.
'South Sector isolated. Send in research agents.'
Those simple words were announced through the network of Shadow Fall via the mind of Saiko. Within their mass systems of communications would her telepathic message reach and this whole region would be marked as a quarantined zone. With this being the case, some of their most foul researchers and scientist could inspect the area, take bodies of the dead and examine the virus for themselves in order to make heads or tales of it. Reinforcements would come shortly and she could end this debacle.
Thus, with that task out of the way, the aqua eyes of The Maiden soon shifted towards the male as he still droned on with his over the top way of speaking and mannerisms. So, it's why the woman shook her head and uttered these words in the most plain-faced way possible.
"Then don't join."
It was as simple as that in her mind and spared no further thought then that when it came to the hollow's disinterest in joining with Shadow Fall.
"And do not come closer."
It may be the adrenaline pumping through her veins at the moment from the aspect of anxiety and fear clawing into the woman's chest, but she soon found herself levitating away from the male to avoid otherwise being touched by his head. Touch was an intimate thing in the mind of Saiko and she had no interest in sharing that sensation with this corrupt individual.
"And I do not hold a sentimental value to war. I'd only prefer to stay in my own world away from it if at all possible in other circumstances."
Relaxing her body, the woman breathed in slowly and then exhaled as she held her gaze with the male before asking one final question.
"If there is nothing left for you to pick at, I would recommend leaving. This area is going to be filled with reinforcements soon. So take what you want, or stick around. It does not matter which you do."
Even that felt like a mouthful of words for the woman to say, but she wanted to be as clear as possible. For now, she was anxious, filled with adrenaline and still ready to clear out this task to get away from this most unsavory individual.
