Recruitment Drive [Shura/Beetle]

In the wake of the Seireitei's destruction, the Gotei United had disbanded. In the wake of that, many Shinigami chose to either abandon the Gotei or otherwise refrain from the duties that once held them together as Shinigami. Such individuals were cowards, truthfully speaking they were unlikely to achieve anything of note anyway. Shura was uninterested with those particular individuals, instead she sought out former 11th Division Members that hadn't yet chosen their side.
She wanted to reform the 11th Division, to bring back what had once made the Gotei 13 so great in the first place. She already had Koga on board, Ranma would likely follow after their training, but one she could recall she hadn't had a chance to speak too yet; Beetle. A curious individual that she admittedly didn't have a ton of experience or knowledge of outside of being a former 11th Division member. So she sought him out to see where he stood and what his plans for the future were.

BEETLE "06" YUUDESHI | FRAGMENT OF GOD
Despite the chaos that her life had become, it hadn't stopped Beetle from helping out as much as she could. There were still a lot of missing personnel and rubble to clear up, and so, Beetle had set out with the Decades and 09 to work on that. Commanding them through the hive-mind that they shared, both herself and the series of beetles cleared out large chunks of rubble, relocating it for disposal or repurposing, revealing either nothing, injured, or corpses.
Every time one of the Decades confirmed that there were no vitals or energy to be felt, Beetle's hand tightened around her Zanpakuto. She could hear the gentle reassuring of Ochibamaru, but, it didn't do much to help. She hated seeing this. Someone who was born from all the positives of the world, a fragment of creation and life itself, how could she just wave away the hurt of life ending?
She made mental notes of the people she found, if they were dead or injured, and if they had families. She didn't know if she would be the one to break the news to them, but, if she was, she wasn't look forward to it.
As Shura would find out, that 'he' was in fact, a 'she,' and, despite her helping out, Beetle was not exactly having the best day.

There was much to consider with the circumstances that surrounded them, but one thing that wasn't up for consideration was the contact with the former 11th Division Shinigami. When, at last, they would find them there wouldn't be much to speak about, at least in the area of introductions. "Beetle, was it? I come to you with a simple request nothing more."
Her words might've seemed cold to most, spoken with an air of either ignorance or perhaps spoken with irrelevance to their current situation. "I will be blunt about this, I want your aid. Koga, Ranma, and myself are leaving the Seireitei itself and even the Rukongai for a time. The aim is simple; training." Should she explain more?.... Maybe... But in truth she knew not whom she could trust. She trusted Koga because they had a preestablished kinship, she trusted Ranma because of his potential and willingness to partake within their training in spite of the perils that the training itself would probably put upon himself. But Beetle? He was a former 11th Division sure, but she knew mostly nothing about her.
"If you wish to partake in said training, I will explain further... but first I must know if you wish for it or not."

BEETLE "06" YUUDESHI | FRAGMENT OF GOD
A simple request? For a random, now formerly unseated member of the Eighth Division? She doubted that. The moment she heard the first sentence, she had ran several scenarios through her head, but, remembering that this was Shura, a former member of the Combat Division, the options became far more limited. In all likelihood, she wanted some kind of training, or she'd been sought after because of her being a member of the original Eleventh Division, before World War 4.
Lo and behold, she was right. So, Beetle sighed, rubbing her temples as she turned to the large, five foot tall beetles that were awaited her instructions, each of them carrying a body in one of their storage units.
"Nine, Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen, search the residential area three clicks northeast from here," She ordered, gesturing to the designated area. "The rest of you, spread out and keep searching. If you find any survivors, bring them to the Medical Division, either to get them attention, or...d-determine a...time of death."
She forced herself to say the words. Even thinking of them made her heart ache. Taking a breath, she calmed herself, keeping her deeper thoughts pushed away, at least temporarily. She turned to face Shura, the usual peppy, bubbly demeanor she had, gone. It wasn't helping that she didn't like the new Fourth Division or its members, prior to the dissolution.
"You're gonna have to do more than wave 'training' in my face for me to drop...all of this," She said, gesturing to the wreckage she was sifting through with the Decades, before sitting down on a chunk of debris.

Shura waited calmly for a response as Beetle first directed the rest of themselves to continue their search to find other survivors and where to take them if and when such were found, it was obvious from how they spoke this wasn't something they necessarily wanted to do... but truth be told that said more about who Beetle was than who they weren't... at least in Shura's eyes.
When they did finally respond, Shura sighed softly... It wasn't that surprising though in truth. She took a seat nearby as well before she spoke "If you want a reason beyond just 'training', then you've already answered your question." Shura made the same gesture towards their surroundings "This is your reason, I am not asking you to drop it all... Just to join me for some training so that we might be able to stop or at least mitigate this from happening again."
She gave a moments pause as her arms moved back to rest on her legs and she leaned forward slightly "Look I won't beat around the bush, I hate losing... And I've already lost two more times than I had ever cared too. So I'm trying to recruit everyone I can for training so that we can prevent this kind of thing happening again. Our Home was invaded and almost obliterated, and now the Gotei United is gone. We don't have someone else to guide us in how to act, or how to move forward from this event, so we have to take it into our own hands to try and stop this from happening again."

BEETLE "06" YUUDESHI | FRAGMENT OF GOD
Stopping it from happening again was a good idea, but, now? So soon after the incident took place? It was almost the height of selfishness. Even with the Gotei disbanded, many of those who belonged to the now former divisions still carried out their tasks, even if they were out of a job.
"Even though the Gotei is gone, we still have people to look to for guidance," Beetle said, resting her head against both open palms. "A few of the Captains and a lot of the general members are still fulfilling the prior orders."
Beetle's head suddenly perked up as the giant scarabs notified her mentally of more survivors, how many they were able to take, and coordinates as to where they were. She didn't say anything verbally, rather, used the biological hive-mind that they shared to swap information. Once that was done, Beetle closed her eyes to take a brief mental break, before finally continuing.
"Besides following what we were assigned," She said. "We have each other. I'm trying my best to help keep everyone together, to be someone that can help them move forward, and I can't be the only one."
For the first time in their conversation, Beetle's expression changed, a smidgen of that bubbly, upbeat personality she usually had returning for a moment. "The Gotei existing or not isn't the end-all be-all of our decision making, y'know. The Captains could still give advice even outside of their official capacity."

What Beetle said carried some truth to it, though admittedly Shura wasn't so sure how long this would last. She pondered about what she said before she responded herself, even nodding to her words "What you say certainly has some truth to it, though I wonder how long such things will last without proper structure or order to it. But..."
She paused for a moment, smiling at Beetle "Helping those that you can is nice and all, but unless we all get stronger before the Arrancarr return... I don't honestly have much confidence we could survive another direct attack like that one. We still don't even know how they gained entry into Soul Society, and those who made the decisions before are either equally stumped or secretly out there for their own personal gain."

BEETLE "06" YUUDESHI | FRAGMENT OF GOD
Beetle looked to the side as Shura questioned the temporal nature of the situation. Things were already going south, and she didn't want to think about it getting even worse. But, those same eyes came back to face her, narrowing in slight annoyance at her next comment. Strength. That was all she seemed to care about. Even if she addressed other points, she didn't seem to have a lot of interest or knowledge about them. She'd make Kenpachi proud, at least.
"Surviving another attack isn't the point," Beetle said. "We'll recuperate and get stronger in all due time, but, not only is that horribly pessimistic, I doubt there will be another for a while, if at all. So, you don't need to feel so paranoid."
Part of it was her thinking of and processing the potential chances of that happening, but, admittedly, another part was wishful thinking. With a sigh, she readjusted the position of her head in the palms of her hands, canting to the other side slightly, before suddenly straightening.
"The Senkaimon," She said flatly. "Given that it was destroyed, and that most of the damage and energy was concentrated there, that's the only logical conclusion."
Beetle lifted her head up, rocking idly back and forth on the debris. "Besides, if you think that, it doesn't seem like you have a lot of faith in others."

Beetle sure was more optimistic than she was that's for sure, they earnestly believed that worrying about another attack not only was dumb but they also believed another one would be coming in the near future. This was clearly a clashing of minds for Shura, who believed within her heart of hearts that another attack was imminent. But how could they be so confident? So optimistic in the face of all of this? It... just didn't make sense to Shura.
In a way Beetle reminded her a lot of Tento, who was so overly optimistic and justice driven that they too saw her pessimism as unwarranted. Perhaps they were right... Or perhaps they were both just naive, which one she couldn't truthfully tell. But it was her last statement that really dug in truth be told, that she didn't have faith in others... And that was definitely the truest statement Beetle had made.
"You're right about one thing, Beetle, I don't have a lot of faith in others. But I have no reason to have faith in them, when the Captain's of Eld were the ones who went to face Ichigo. Our Captain-Commander vanished right before the invasion it seems, and both Yuuto and Kanae both did not confront Ichigo... In fact I believe Kanae to be the one who killed Hakuyou based off where their spiritual pressures were located at the time of his death. There's very little reason for me to have faith in others when we are led by individuals such as that."
Shura said this in a somewhat monotone voice, as if it both did and didn't matter to her anymore. She shook her head and sighed "Either way, I don't see us recovering quickly even if we aren't attacked again soon. So..." She paused as she stood slowly, looking about their surroundings for a few moments before letting out another soft sigh "You're very optimistic given our situation... And truth be told I hope you're the one that's right and I'm the one who is wrong for everyone's sake."
Shura then pointed outwards beyond the Rukongai as she turned to Beetle one last time "I'll be going out about fifty miles that way for the training, As I said before this is merely a request nothing else. If you don't join us, I won't hold it against you or anything... not that it means much if we're being honest."

BEETLE "06" YUUDESHI | FRAGMENT OF GOD
Beetle didn't say anything in response at first. Frankly, despite her already processing the statement, she was still trying to find the logic behind it. So, because Captaina- well, former Captains Hisakawa and Nagoshi didn't take on the biggest, named threat, Shura couldn't have faith in them? That...
"So..." She said, almost incredulously. "Because they didn't take on who you deem as a higher priority, they can't be trusted?
Beetle blinked a few times, not even caring about the rest of what she said. She was trying to make sense of that line of logic. She knew that Shura's reputation in the Fourth Division was remarkably low, particularly because of the trouble that she had stirred up between divisions prior to all of this, but this was just...
"That's stupid," She said plainly, her upbeat, endlessly positive nature faltering to confusion. "That's so...so absurd, I don't even have the words."
Beetle had since stopped her rocking, bringing her hands to her temples and rubbing them while shaking her head lightly. "From what I understand, both Hisakawa and Lord Kuchiki were, at the same time, taking on another Arrancar. If it could hold both of them back, there's a chance it even surpassed Kurosaki."
Her hands drifted from the sides of her head to pinch the bridge of her nose. She wasn't angry. She didn't know if it was even possible for her to get angry, but, she did know that she was confused, and that on top of having a very bad day so far wasn't helping.
"Are you saying they should have just...gone for the big name for the sake of fame and glory, rather than acting as they should have, as Captains?" She asked. "That's the only way that line of logic could even remotely make sense, and if that is the case...you're not just horribly pessimistic, but horribly selfish as well."
She let some silence fill the gap, taking a moment to think and collect herself, before sighing. There was one thing she would at the very least keep in consideration, but only because she had doubts about Shura's ability to actually train effectively.
"I'll consider joining you, but don't expect it."
