Each of the opponents will be battling in a war torn city. This city expands for many hundreds of miles; so there is more than enough battle space for them. There will be random item drops throughout the thread, while most of the buildings may explode randomly at any point. There may be claps of energy which rain from the sky and attempt to attack the opponents as well. So it's somewhat chaotic and both should fight with everything they got in it.
With that said, let the match-up begin.

So with the ending of the battle with Liu, Hayden had been thrust into another battle currently with one win, one tie, and zero loses.
His next challenger would prove to be equally interesting though, being one of the men he heard was also vying for the position of Reagent General of the Vanguard. He had done some research into the man apparently he operated in a secret sector of the Vanguard which proved mildly annoying to Hayden; for this could technically make the man his senior. The very thought of that brought a small excess of barf to the back of his neck before it disappeared with a sigh from the male. How many more of these damn matches where he going to have to deal with before the made it to the top to receive what was rightfully the Vastime nation, more importantly his home?
Yet, pushing those thoughts aside Hayden wandered into the new battlefield immediately taking note of the massive skyscrapers that looked weathered and broken; as if the fight that was going to transpire here already occurred. It was rather eerie knowing he was going to be causing this type of mess again, looking at the aftermath of what could easily be seen as the carnage of two beings of his power going at it. Thankfully, this was simply a random place created by Mana- so he hoped. What type of plot twist would it be if the arenas where really portions of Greece that were being used as playthings? Hayden would be beyond furious.
With Mana at the helm of this fiasco Hayden wouldn’t doubt that there was some type of surprise at the end of all this, he just hoped he wouldn’t be too much annoyed by it. While Hayden had fully come to accept one day he may come blow to blows with the woman he did not underestimate her; but he could not let fear nor doubt cloud his mind when it came to the matters of securing a world for both his people and those who wish to live without the constructs of chaos ruling them. In short, Hayden patience was being tested.
“Alright… let’s see if the guy even shows; make my day if he quit and I could move on.”
If only...

The first round of the tournament reached an anti-climactic closing. Though through some medium or another, the Unknown operative had secured victory. Now it was time to step into the next round and hopefully engage in a proper fight this time around. He didn't bother looking up anything regarding his adversary, preferring to keep the information unknown to add to the surprise factor and make the battle more enjoyable. It was more realistic to keep things as vague as possible with the new generation of powerhouses rising up over the last few years.
Dellapero entered the broken-down city, his eyes tracing the outlines of every structure that composed it. Now this was more like it! The desert was such a bore, but a city like this was more his style. He could do without the darker state of ruin it had taken, but if this next battle was anything serious, it would end up this way regardless. The Vanguard operative walked forward, steps echoing through the seemingly desolate world. He wanted to be absolutely sure it was as empty as it appeared though. With Mana behind this, the place having a few residents left to be caught in the crossfire for some kind of moral shenanigans wouldn't be a surprise. His eagle-like vision gave him a keen view of everything around, gazing through windows and catching traces f the ruined structures interior. Not a sight or sound caught his attention after a few good moments checking around. Maybe the place was just as void as it looked..Which meant.'
He had the entire city to himself as a playground this time around! It wasn't often he had such an environment to mess with in a fight, but it was a great place to test some new moves and cut loose a little. He kicked off the ground, leaping high into the air and above one of the many damaged buildings that lined the arena. His feet landed on the rooftop, staying in place only for a moment. With a giant place like this, he just had to do some exploring! His would-be opponent was probably on the other side of the city as well. Not wasting a moment, the oddly-adorned swordsmen darted forward. His twin scarves swayed in the wind as he jumped from one building to the next. each step was a great leap, carving through the sky with great speed and form.
It took only a few moments for one of the arena's hidden properties to debut right below his feet. As Grance dashed forward, one of the buildings below him began to rustle violently. He blinked, having no idea what was happened. His advanced senses gave him ample time to recognize it and move though. His foot touched the rooftop, and just as before he darted to the next building; putting the extra effort in his motion to rise substantially higher and away from the reacting structure. Unfortunately, even knowing what was going to happen ahead of time wasn't enough to fully avoid the result. The entire skyscraper detonated below him! Flames, ash, and debris spilled out in every direction. The force of the blast knocked the Human off course- directing him to a different building than his initial target. The explosion also caused small burns on his left-leg, burning to cinders part of the fabric as well.
Right when he was excited to go about running across every structure in the city, the mistress of madness just -had- to add something like that to ruin it.
"Oh...Well then! Probably shouldn't stay up here too long!"
He landed without issue atop another building, taking only a moment to gaze over the surrounding area. Thankfully, his augmented sight gave him just the slightest view of Hayden in the distance. Possibly they could be heading his way after the sound of that explosion rocked the landscape. He'd meet them in the middle, hopefully not encountering anymore of those spontaneous explosions along the way!
The Unknown Vanguard operative darted toward his new opponent, adrenaline pumping through his veins already in anticipation for a good fight to actually kick thing s off this time around. Once the two were close enough to get a proper view of one another, the veteran descended from above, crossing the vast distance between the sky and ground without issue and landing on his feet amid the tarnished open roads. He stopped there, stretching his arms to the sky and stretching them. He carried a cheerful disposition in contrast to many others in the tournament. His emerald iris looked over Hayden curiously, trying to get a feel for their strength not just physically, but for their strength of mind and spirit.
As for Dellapero himself? His outward appearance would have most presume he was a physical powerhouse, and that wasn't entirely inaccurate. His sleeveless arms were adorned in muscle and he had a large built frame. However, two things were a miss to fit that depiction. The level of his spiritual pressure was abysmal compared to fighters of Hayden's caliber and his physical talents were drastically weaker than normal due to his own personal restraints. That would become clear soon enough, but from the perspective of most, this would seem like an easy battle early on. He was counting on that a bit to give him enough time to finish warming up for the real fight. Traces of green bio-electricity were already starting to build around him. What purpose it had was unknown, and in truth there was none. Rather, his innate ability was already starting to kick in from the adrenaline coursing through him at that moment. it crackled loudly around him, his physical make-up being rewritten and improved already. He was confident that he would need to be at his to make the coming battle as enjoyable as possible.
" Haven't seen anyone else around, so I guess you're my opponent eh? Nice to meet ya'. Name's Dellapero. You look pretty tough. I needed some stronger opponents to get ready for fighting the hostess later. Well, I'm ready whenever you are! And if you're wondering about that bang a minute ago, she just had to go and make the buildings explosive. Its a shame, because I was looking forward to a fight over the rooftops. ..i mean,. we still could, but standing on bombs generally isn't a good idea!"
Grance adjusted his stance, stretching the rest of his body before dawning a basic combat stance. His hands rested closely to the twin swords at his side, ready to draw them at a moment's notice if Hayden dawned any form of weapon of his own. Though he was more than content starting things off with some old-fashioned punching to get warmed up for the real fight. He wasn't sure about his claim a moment ago at first, but after the last fight, he made a decision on it. The point of joining this was to push himself to the next level and test how far his strength could come. What better opponent to do that then one of the most powerful monstrosities the modern age had come to fear and respect? Of course he wasn't just using this battle as a warm up for that either. These coming fights were going to be just as intense as his near-death experience against Starrk not long ago, and that is what he was counting on to push himself to a point he could fight the mad queen on his own by the end of this.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The sound immediately made Hayden’s head turn as the shockwaves from such an explosion wrapped around his battle, while he did not move the ground around him sure did as dust kicked up. His eyes would squint as his complete body shifted towards the direction of the explosion to see quite some interesting things, first off a building was now ruin along with a man who seemed to be maneuvering around the city- most likely his opponent. For the briefest of moments Hayden mind went to that he blew up a building randomly, before pushing that utterly ridiculous thought out of his head. Even if it was to get his attention it would certainly be over kill but he would be willing to guess it had to deal with the powers at work; those being mana.
“Looks like I will have a fight, well glory to Vastime let’s get this done.”
Hayden chuckled as he knelt a bit feeling the muscles tighten as his body seemed like a spring locking in place, his feet digging into the ground before he released his tightened mass sending a small shock wave as he launched himself in the air towards the target. He wasn’t going overly fast in fact a beginner in speed could probably catch him rather easily, he didn’t want to divulge all his secrets so easy. But as he flew through the air he would use his reiatsu to guide his path of flight, when he began to dip down he would simply use a building as a platform moving him to the next platform with ease mimicking his challenger.
Within a few moment the two powerhouses would be face to face with only the floor beneath them as their separation, the space between them only the distance that was with length of the roof of one of the buildings. The man seemed to want to say some words so as for expecting an attack Hayden wasn’t overly worried about it, even if he did launch a surprise offensive Hayden had dealt with enough of them to be able to react accordingly making it hard to catch the Vizard off guard.
The man began to introduce himself to Hayden, a small thoughtful hum being heard from Hayden as he was now told the man’s name. Dellapero. The name held some familiarity to Hayden but he couldn’t place it, in fact it was almost maddeningly annoying how he could not something which was apparent as he pursed his lips before sighing his stance shifting to that of an offensive stance. He had taken in the information the man said with a smile regarding the explosiveness of the roof tops along with advising they did not fight on the roofs. Eh, why not.
“Dellapero, sounds rather familiar to me but I can’t quite place it. Though I am Desmond Hayden, Major of the Initiative for the Vanguard and the King of the Iron Banner of Vastime. Gotta say I’d love if you surrender but I don’t expect you will; so how bout we get to the throwing of the fists. Dellapero. Let’s make this noteworthy.”
Hayden spoke curtly, his voice even as his neck rotated as the cracking of bones were heard as his hands flexed closed before relaxing in a sort of loose open palm. The way his stance was set up definitely favored being up close, from the shoulder width apart feet stance to his head being lowered a bit with his left hand being extended a bit further than his right hand which was a bit closer to his body and chest. It was a strange stance but to see it’s full potential Dellapero would need to come close something which Hayden was ready to initiate.
So it was Dellapero move.

Dellapero looked forward to the coming brawl, his body and mind adjusting in tandem for the drastic changes they needed to go through to fight at his best. He waited to hear from his adversary before he made his move, his feet already pressing downward in anticipation of leaping forward and kicking things off. Though before that, there were a number of things brought up in that little reply Hayden had to offer that caught the Unknown soldier's attention, both positive and negative. It was good to see more from the Vanguard amid the event. That increased the chances of the land being owned by someone that won't ruin it more than Mana already had. He was unfamiliar with the Vastine, but this would make for a good introduction. The small thing that bugged him though was that passive request of surrender. They were right to assume he wouldn't accept that, but just the mention of it caused him to do a double-take. He looked over the warrior a second time, raising an almost puzzled expression.
" Great, then we're on the same side. i don't understand why you would want me to surrender though. If I did, I wouldn't just be robbing myself, but both of us of the experience. "
Dellapero adjusted his posture, taking note of the lack of an immediately drawn weapon at Hayden's side. His hands moved away from the twin blades by his waist, instead getting ready to rush in reckless and start things off. His muscles stretched, hands tightening into dense fists and his legs pressing further down, ready to leap forward at a moment's notice. He was given the go-ahead to start their fight, and he intended to use it. There were the odd convulsions of nature brought about by Mana's demented power to think about as well, but if he couldn't deal with that on the fly, how would he handle the woman in a direct battle? Rather than avoid them, it would be better practice to fight amid the madness and adapt to it. He continued to speak, his senses being honed as sparks of lightning continued to flare around him.
"I didn't come here with the goal of winning. Neither the fight or the tournament. I came here for the experience of the fight and to get stronger from it. If you want people to just give up, you're wasting an opportunity to better yourself. I hope you didn't have too many people do that for you before now. Times like these, we really need to be the best we can be. "
The Human pushed off the ground, darting forward at the top speeds he could manage at the time. Though his strength and movement were drastically reduced by the seals in his clothing, they were nothing to scoff at. His pace was swift, dust kicked up in his wake and a backlash of kinetic energy spilled out behind him. His emerald eyes focused on every detail of Hayden's stance, their reactions, the twitch in their muscles to indicate how they would react. While at an, though unknown, substantial disadvantage at the moment in almost every category, his senses were on a level that even exceeded superhuman. Even things that rivaled his top speeds seemed to move in slow motion to his eagle-like eyes, and he used that to his advantage.
The distance between them was closed in the blink of an eye. Not one for fancy tricks, Grance just charged forward with reckless abandon. There was little, if any thought put into his attack. It was basic and not that difficult to counter, but effective at times non-the-less. His arm moved forward along with his momentum, carrying a quick right-hook toward Hayden with initially lacking, but substantially reinforced strength. Alone his punch carried moderate strength, but nothing to write home about. In fact it was unfittingly lackluster for someone of his caliber, rank, and build. At the same time, it wasn't weak enough to dismiss, and the added benefit of an extraordinarily dense body bolstering its power and the speed behind it gave this particular punch enough force to knock away most vehicles and at least knock an opponents a few feet back. The arc of the strike headed right for Desmond's face. He would use it as a speed bump to transfer all the momentum of his dash into their body and easily make up for the initial lack of power. But that wasn't all. Throughout the brief attack, something would become clear if it connected. Whether the fellow giant took the hit head-on or blocked, the power behind it didn't falter in the slightest! Where normally the extra force of the momentum would fade after the first strike and make things even easier for his target, that wasn't true this time around.
The sparks around his body served no malicious purpose on their own. Rather, they were an exhaust for his true ability that was already hard at work. While the momentum he gathered faded, his strength was drastically increasing with every second. Depending how long the following exchange lasted, it would become clear that the initially average strike would be replaced by increasingly impressive attacks until they eventually became devastating! Unfortunately, it would be a short time until that happened. The bio-electricity around him became more volatile, expanding and sparking to life faster than before. Now that the battle was actually starting, his ability was heating up and adjusting his molecular structure accordingly for every minor detail his body registered. How fast Hayden reacted, how much power their defensive maneuvers and counter-attack carried, all of that would factor into speeding up the ability and tailoring the results to the opponent ahead of him.
In the event Hayden were to dodge instead, or even more likely; dodge and unleash a counter in tandem. Dellapero wasn't going to try killing his momentum and back away to avoid it. Rather, he very much intended to keep pressing forward. regardless of the exact response. His highly augmented eyes tracked Hayden to the best of their ability, his feet pressing into the ground and ready to shift his momentum as need be to maximize its application and keep things interesting, even while his true might was several moments from coming to reality. Playing the waiting game was not only boring, but of the question as well. Even when weakened, the only way to get stronger was to rush in and lash out with everything at your disposal, and that is exactly what the Unknown Human intended to do in the opening act of their battle!

Re: Dellapero VS Hayden [Madness Tournament Event]
Sat Nov 12, 2016 3:33 pm
Artist: N/A - Song: Noble Sacrifice - Word 1328Count:
The man spoke rather impressively, his tone and voice carrying weight that Hayden himself could respect when it came to his convictions. However, sometimes other goals were more important in the grand scheme of things and a swift victory here was more important than sparring in a battle that will take up Hayden’s time and energy. He needed to win this battle quickly, he needed to make this man understand just how important this piece of land was. That would be proven by the fight about to transpire.
“Sometimes one must focus on the entire group rather than the individual, I can understand wanting to better yourself but I simply need this land.”
Those would be the final words uttered from Hayden’s lips as he began to perceive the world just a bit slower as Dellapero began his rush towards Hayden. It was rather impressive to see meaning Hayden had a very small amount of time to make his choice of how he should proceed. The man’s body indicated he intended to throw a rather hard hook at Hayden, but the interesting thing was the green sparks building around his body. Hayden if he wasn’t the wiser would have thought that maybe it was some elemental attack but being a lightning user he didn’t feel the slightest pull of lightning; which meant it was something else.
The distance was almost going to be closed, Hayden in his defensive stance held a few option of ways to dodge or counterattack. He could simply meet the man in mid combat with his own much stronger punch, something that if Hayden let loose his full strength might just rip this man’s arm off. Then again, he didn’t want to kill the man in fact the best option was most likely breaking the flow of combat making Hayden the controller thus allowing him to control his enemy.
As Dellapero approached Hayden’s expertise in focus and speed would begin to show, specifically his reaction and combative speed. The punch would not find it’s target at least not in its previous spot, for Hayden’s body had shifted dangerously low his face looking at the abdomen of Dellapero. Seeing as Dellapero intended to keep pressing forward Hayden would see that his body intended to keep running past him but Hayden would not allow this, his hand would shoot up gripping the elbow of his arm of the fist intended to punch him. He would use the leverage of him moving to allow Hayden to slip behind Dellapero as his hand tightened around the joint.
Hayden would most likely end up directly behind Dellapero with a death gripped tightened around his elbow fully intended to restricted his movement or crush the joint should he attempt to fight back too much, but if Hayden ende dup behind Dellapero his free arm would shoot around the neck of the man as his hand grabbing the arm jerked it backwards fully intending to dislocate the shoulder. The purpose and reason Hayden was able to do this was he simply shifted behind Dellapero by dropping his weight at the last possible moment and using his extremely trained focus and speed to maneuver behind him effectively taking control of the reckless man. Hayden had learned from Kamui, that charging forward was a way to end up in the control of your enemy.
Hayden however was not done, as his knee shot upwards towards the unprotected back of the man focusing his pressure to the mid portion of his spine intended to damage the man’s spine. Normally, this was not in the nature of Hayden to be so methodical in his methods of taking his down enemies but recently he had been approaching each fight with the intent to end them quickly. Dellapero body was taking tremendous amounts of force except all focused within small areas intended to prevent him from moving or fighting back; but either paralysis or shock. The effects of recieveing an unprotected strike to the spin could range from loss of movement temporarily to utter paralysis and from the way Hayden hit he intended for some effect to take affect. So as the knee came into contact Dellapero would then feel his body being forced to the ground, Hayden’s knee picking him up enough to get his feet off the ground before Hayden shifted his weight downward pivoting as Dell’s was being forced to the ground face first with enough power to embed him as Hayden rested his knee on his back.
Hayden had used his experience in Hakuda and Wrestling to simply force his enemy into a submissive position, while this most likely would not stop the man's fighting spirit it would make him hard to fight back if his shoulder was dislocated along with Hayden forcing the man to the ground using his leverage to maintain his hold. Hayden’s arm was wrapped securely around the man’s neck forcing his head into a very uncomfortable position, making it to where Hayden held three points of control on man under him.
Each movement and strike was methodical, while they held massive power to them Dellapero would see that Hayden was utilizing the utmost of technique and experience. He could keep gaining power all he wanted but in the current position he was in, Hayden held enough control over him to render that power gain useless as by the time he could begin to focus that energy Hayden could tighten his grip or change his position for even more control.
“I did not come here to fight, I came here to win. I came here to secure my motherland. I will not let any man or god stand in my way. On my Vastimian Pride, I will win this.”
