ENTER THE DEPTHS
Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A
Far in the outlands of the soul society, there still lurked secrets in the mountains, in how the streams simply just flowed without hindrance. It was peaceful in a way really, how everything and anything out here relied and was in harmony with each other. Sometimes things died, killed off by a predator or hollow. Other times things lived, able to defend themselves another day. So over and over this endless dance goes, Or that’s what Niflheim in her thousand years of existence had observed. However what was she doing out here in the deepest reaches of the soul society far from the seireitei or the rukongai? It was quite simple, because she couldn’t train in her homeland which had naturally been abundant with reishi, she was going to train here where the reishi ran like syrup and lit up the skies before her very eyes. It was for that reason that niflheim had begun originally with a low inhalation and centered herself, like a fighter getting ready to go into the rink, then she sat down and straightened her back, her rhythmic breathing allowing her to fall into a state where she was getting more in tune with herself. The questions that ran through her head being. . “..Why do you seek power? Is it for yourself?” To that she’d answer. ”..No it’s for my race and for myself.” It was only then that she let herself begin to pull reiatsu in from the world around her, the infinite blue glow growing while she did so.
Reishi was something that was bent to her imagination, so around her she began with some light concepts. Starting with “geometric shapes” The reishi would seem to contort, bend and eventually form the different shapes of squares, triangles and others she could not name, but had at one point seen with her mind’s eye. Next the constructs began to change and dispersed, forming hundreds upon hundreds of tiny lines that went up and down. These “Lines” would then bend inwards forming a flower that would then explode into a brilliant mist of blue energy that spun around the quincy as she began to draw more energy inwards. Faster she drew it in, as if she was working a muscle and trying to get better at it, as she went she was changing up how she did things, checking for strain and how much energy it took to do something one way versus how much energy it took do to it another way. Her methodical mind doing each thing in a step by step process, not leaving anything out until she exhaled and tried what she did when fighting annie, raising her hands she could feel the energy condensing and beginning to humm.
This humming turned into a keening wail while her perfectly manicured fingers sliced clean through a boulder that was next to her, both sides shimmering with a touch of blue as the quincy just exhaled and thought about it. How could she perfect this. . Was there some kind of fighting style out there that she could potentially utilize to make this easier? Testing it she’d hit the ground with her hand formed like a knife. Causing it to sink in, before she pulled back and did it the same but only this time it was with a open palm. The ground this time would explode from the vibrating reishi repulsing it, sending it shooting out in many directions before the Quincy had finally hit the ground hard with a closed fist, that had caused something different to happen, the ground shattered inwards on contact and while it didn’t explode as much as with an open palm? It certainly had more wide-spread damage than the knife shaped movement which simply cut through things. In this way she continued to move in dance, her feet kicking boulders and her fists cleaving through rock, stone, wood, each swing generating whirls of wind on their own while she practice, beads of perspiration atop her brow.
She needed to get stronger . . . at all costs.
