PRINCESS PUNCH
Mirja kept an eye on the surroundings, making sure none of the Saca Dila got a drop on them. Beowulf was slowly taking in small amounts of light from the area, making it a much wider berth so that it wouldn't darken the area to a noticable degree. But, when Henrex obviously reached out his spiritual tendrils to check if Mirja's claim that she had no spiritual output was true and when he saw it was true looked all shocked and shit, Mirja grinned rather broadly.
"You look like you have just found out how they make chicken nuggets. Don't worry, I'm not a zombie from Quesh IV here to eat your brains. Still Mirja"
However, her friendly teasing quip didn't help what happened next. He came in close, and Mirja had to restrain an urge to punch him as he touched her shoulder. Not just because punching was rude, but because if she hit him right now, he would literally die. And it would be messy, and she would get brain on her shoes. So she didn't punch him, and simply returned the stare. Like everything, her eyes were incredibly dense, so she could stare for several minutes before needing to blink, which made her great for staring contests and the like.
Possibly related, she felt something very small trickle across her skin, raising her hairs on her arms. It happened just before he asked for forgiveness, as well. The coincidences were to much, and so she hardened her unblinking gaze into a glare.
"You know, that's the exact line that some people give their victims right before a sexual assault. I hope your mind is not going the same route" she threatened, before feeling that strange trickle poke at her vents on her wrists. He must have been trying to get in to see if she was as internally moot as she was externally. With physical sensation she wasn't great unless it was considerable, but with spiritual sense, she was actually pretty sharp, in matters of her own body and the immidiate surrounding area.
"You can't get in that way. Think of it like...." She paused for a second, and he skittered about the rest of her body while she thought of an anology. The energy flow dissapated before she managed to get a good one, and he freaked out. Hands flying back to his sides fast enough to stun an ox, and then going backwards with some incredible speed. Mirja wasn't to worried about him, her Shikai made her titanically strong, and her entire body was an uphill battle to get through.
"Might wanna face those guys, rather than me, kiddo" she warned, pointing to a new group of Saca Dila approching them.

Henrex Astillon He was not used to interacting with someone like Mirja. No one he met really had the same bravado and confidence to the extent that she had. Most of them were very calm, but still confident. Even someone like Sonny Ray, the skeletal Arrancar, showed pride and confidence. Henrex had never been like that. He had always been reclusive and shy, never wanting to be the center of attention, be around large crowds, or anything of that sort. He was very introverted. As her voice sounded out to him, her quip reaching his ears, Henrex was stricken by a wave of confusion. Quesh Four? Blinking twice, the boy's head tilted slightly. She most certainly was...interesting. However, as Henrex's energy continued to flow along her skin and look for an opening in her spiritual vents, Henrex could feel her blank stare at him. It was not a very comforting gaze for Henrex. It made him feel awkward, nervous, and just the slightest bit scared. Eye darting around, with his hands trembling as his energy continued to scan and probe her skin for what his energy was looking for, Henrex's head perked up as he heard what the girl had said next. Her threat seemed to hang in the air, and the boy's eye widened with fear. Henrex would never do that to someone. Bringing his gloved hands up, with them waving frantically back and forth, the flustered boy would shake his head as well to this, furiously. The revealed portion of his face turned beet red as she said this. "N-No, that was never my intention!" Was she misunderstood? Or was she warning him? He didn't know, and honestly? Didn't really care. He didn't want to make her mad. Henrex bowed as low as he could, with his voice practically shooting out apology after apology. As his upper half lifted to straighten up, Henrex's arms clenched to his sides, with his head bowed down slightly. His entire body shaking, and the revealed pale skin of his taking a darker shade of crimson from the sheer embarrassment that had occurred within the boy's body. While most might not have seen something like this as embarrassing, Henrex Astillon most certainly did. As he heard her again, he awaited what she was saying "think of it like" about. However, nothing came. The boy's body had moved away too fast for her to quickly think of one, before her train of thought was changed to what was occurring behind them. As she mentioned the Saca Dila that were materializing behind him. Slowly reaching for his sword, Henrex's hand slid over the hilt of the katana, before sliding his thumb underneath the hand-guard. The red that had occupied his cheeks soon faded, and his body turned around, before he was taken by surprise by one of them. A single slash to the scarf that covered his face caused the cloth to fly off his face, and the side of his face that he had tried so hard to keep hidden was revealed. His hand shot to the now revealed skin, covering it and ripping his Zanpakutō from it's sheath, an aura of black wrapping itself around the blade of the weapon. Whirling around towards his assailant, the steel whistled through the air, before Henrex's sword met another one. Hearing the clang of two steel blades colliding, Henrex's eye widened as the Saca Dila before him actually had some brains to draw his sword. Gritting his teeth, the boy continued to wield his sword one handed, he slammed his weapon down, before leaping up into the air, leaping over the Saca Dila, before multiple slashes flew from left to right, with Henrex bursting through the Saca Dila, then his eye shifted towards the area in front of him. |

Ohh, Soul King this guy was cute. Everything he did, everything he said, it was all making Mirja so amused at him. She didn't know they made guys like this. Maybe she wouldn't have such a massive problem if more were like Henrex were. His stuttering exclamation that sexy time was never his intention pressed the boundries of Mirja's self-control. What she really wanted to do was burst into a fit of giggles, but she managed to restrain herself, if only just. So. Frigging. Cute. If he wasn't a guy she'd have him right here and now, after the Saca Dila were destroyed, obviously.
She wasn't a big fan of putting things in her holes, hence the lack of tackling Henrex, and more enjoying his discomfort as his cheeks got so red he could easily cosplay Sinestro.
"Shame. If those were your intentions, we could have had some real fun with each other" she teased, before one of the Saca Dila appeared out of nowhere and cut through the face bandages. Mirja's eyes lit up and she tried to see what was beyond it, but wasn't able to before he covered it with his hands, and began to show off his great swordsmanship again. This Saca Dila was one that liked it's sword more than it's fists, so the fight didn't end immidiately, and Mirja got something to watch.
Not a lot, as it got taken out pretty quickly, but better than before. She looked over the creatures, and then turned to Henrex, holding out Beowulf.
"Focus on cleansing the corruption. I'll deal with these" she told him, cletching her fists. "Yami no Sekai" the light, spluttered, and faded from view, becoming darker, and darker, until there was no light at all. Pitch, black. Mirja hoped that Henrex would drop his hand so she could see what he was hiding now that the false security of the darkness had enveloped them. But, she wasn't counting on it, and focused on the Saca Dila. Mostly.
"Ohh! Think of it like a perpetual gust of wind. You don't have the muscular strength, spiritually speeding, to push past it, so it blows you back. That's why you can't get into the vents. More force on the inside than you are exerting on the outside. Make sense?" She asked, before darting forward and smashing the face of one of the Saca Dlia. They seemed to have as good a night vision as a hedgehog run over by a car, so it wasn't terribly difficult to beat face.

Henrex Astillon I always seem to have bad luck, don't I? The mind of the Hybrid flowed with a single thought. Something that seemed to follow him everywhere. Bad luck. Some called it karma, some called it fate, but it all really had the same concept. It was just something that would come back to bite you in the ass if you weren't careful. The girl's relentless teasing caused the red to reappear on Henrex's face, like a volcano rising and calming. Hearing the teasing that the girl had said, Henrex's mind was hit with confusion once again. Is she...flirting with me?! It was just all the more humiliating for the boy, as he was at a complete loss for words. Everything that he thought of saying he reconsidered, thinking that it would be something that the girl would most likely punch him for. So, quickly performing a flash step in order to get infront of her again, her next statement quickly reached him, and he understood why she wanted him to clear out the infection. She had no way of doing so. Henrex's spiritual energy was, as of then, the only way that they could purify the Rukongai. Keeping his hand on his eye, as he had done for a good period of time since the Saca Dila from before had sliced off the scarf that had covered his face, Henrex's sword slowly began to move to his side. However, as it did, Henrex could with his other eye that the area had grown dim. And dimmer...and dimmer....until nothing was left. A world of pure black. A small surge of power flowed into Henrex as he now knew that no one could see him. It was safe. Slowly lowering the scarf from his face, his right eye flashed green, before the iris and sclera combined to form a small combo color of dark green and black. As the eye of his changed colors, Henrex's Cyberbrain quickly activated the add-on that he had installed when he first received the technology. With the area turning the color of green as well, through his own eyes, Henrex could now see through this world of darkness. A silent breath came from him as he felt much more confident in himself, now that he was once again hidden by the shadows. Dashing forward, Henrex's hands now both gripped the handle of his sword, before slashes would come from him, in all directions. Henrex had used his Zanpakutō spirit's energy to create something along the lines of a pushing force to keep the Saca Dila away from him. Spawning a core of his energy upon the tip of his Zanpakutō, Henrex's blade thrust forward, sending a beam of energy flying towards where he saw the most corruption. As the Shinigami's energy pierced the Black World's infection, his mind...was occupied by something else. He kept thinking about that girl, Mirja. For some reason, he couldn't get his mind off her. Whether it be from interest in Mirja herself, or something that Henrex couldn't quite figure out yet, it was all unknown. |

Mirja tried not to laugh as Henrex spoke. She had no desire to change his intentions. He was just someone who she had been asigned to work with. And sure, the latex bodysuit was making all her curves just right, but that didn't change the fact that she wasas interested in him as an ant is, in the clouds above. Cute that he would consider it though. Maybe she wasn't so monsterous after all. But as she released her World of Darkness, and drowned the surrounding area in a murky depth, she saw him relax his guard, and reveal something that didn't quite look all that Shinigami to her.
Parhaps she was still monsterous, but he was equally so. Still, Mirja wasn't going to think on it while there were Saca Dila to kill. She had intented for him to focus his energies on the surrounding area while she dealt with the combat, but he seemed like he still had to do more fighting. Like he was protecting a girl several times stronger than him, or something. The notion was cute, like everything about him. But he was a puppy in the window, and she had no room for pets.
The Saca Dila were shocked, confused, and put on edge by the sudden darkness, which made for easy pickings. But one of them, near Henrex, drew her sword and spoke in a voice, like ringing bells.
"Fade, Grendel" she spoke. The Zanpaktou vanished, and turned into.....nothing. Which was odd. But then Mirja looked at the woman, and saw that she was exactly like Mirja, which would probably confuse Henrex. So the pink-haired Shinigami would try to go warn him, but got tackled by several other Saca Dala, clearly working in tandum with each other to take down Henrex and herself.
The Mirja Dala would approch Henrex, using her appearance to put him off guard, and then move to suddenly strike a punch to his face with no forewarning. In this Darkness, and copying Mirja's natural density, the blow would be devestating if it managed to connect with Henrex, which was quite likely, considering his current emotions towards Mirja.

Henrex Astillon [youtube]z27Vp9o_o0A?version=2&loop=1&color1=0x000000&color2=0x330033[/flash] Cut after cut. Blast after blast. It wasn't enough. Nothing was getting him the results that he was looking for. The infection was still enough to continuously spawn one Saca Dila after another, with seemingly no end. Even with both of their strength, if they didn't speed this along, neither of them would last. Or even worse, they wouldn't come out alive. Henrex had no intentions of dying. He would continue fighting, even if doing so would continue to bring him closer to the jaws of Death. His body never stopped moving. Slashing, jabbing, everything. Henrex was constantly on the move. Flash stepping from one place to another, the Zanpakutō's blade always cut true. Killing one after another, Henrex had little time to recover or stop. His eye darted from left to right constantly, always looking, always scanning. He registered and recognized faces. The faces of the previously fallen, now replaced by their counterparts created from the Black World. It hurt him to put an end to these recently created things that could be used to bring what many wanted. Peace among the realms. However, their minds were corrupted. They knew nothing but to attack, maim, and kill. Swallowing hard, Henrex continued to sweep and slash, cutting through more and more Saca Dila as if they were paper. However, the boy soon heard the scraping of a sword against a sheath, and his eye widened, before flicking around, looking for where the sound had originated from. Someone had drawn their sword. Now the Raven was even more worried than before. Drawing his sword upwards into a standard kendo guard, Henrex's body swished in circles as hands gripped tight against the hilt of his weapon, waiting for whoever had drawn their sword to come out. Footsteps and a voice echoed from the darkness. His eye widened. It was Mirja's voice. His eye focused on the direction of the voice and watched as the pink haired girl stepped out from the black, and simply...stared at him. Her stare was cut off by a small grin on her face, and the color drained from Henrex's face. Petrified, Henrex simply stood there and stared directly back at her, before a tinge of red would appear on his scarred face, with the burns and wounds of the past taking on a uglier color. His head turned away from the girl, and his sword lowered, before a hand would break from the hilt of the weapon, before that limb would move to his arm, rubbing it slightly as the boy continued to stay silent and avoid her gaze. However, he had been foolish to lower his guard. A hit to reality. That is what he received from Mirja. Her fist made direct contact with his face, causing the boy to fall on his back, and the hand that had been rubbing his arm had shot up to his face, gently touching the wound that had been created from that single punch. Blood oozed down from where the wound had been created, which was his temple. The sound of bells ringing in his head caused the boy's head to spin and churn, and his vision became blurry. He had faced attacks, but he had never met someone who had delivered that much damage from a single punch. The area of impact swelled up, and Henrex's eyes looked at Mirja in shock, pain, and horror. Why...did she do that? Was this her kind of sick joke?! His eyes darted left and right, and the boy's heart was soon wrapped in fear. Everything was moving so fast. His blurry vision soon focused itself on the infection. He had to focus. There was no time to waste. Using Hoho, his body vanished and reappeared behind what he believed to have been Mirja, and his body shot off, with his sword pointing towards the Black World's infection. Spawning three cores of black and purple energy on his weapon, he shot off three beam attack, each with deadly piercing power. As each one pierced not only the infection that was threatening his home, but multiple, if not hundreds of Saca Dila that had been gathered there. As the energy leftover from the attack cleared, Henrex could see that Mirja....was there. She had been pinned under the large group of Saca Dila. So, if SHE was there....then who was the Mirja who had punched him? They both looked exactly the same. the same eyes, same strength, everything. Henrex soon realized that this must have been her Saca Dila. With hundreds of the things being spawned, he figured it must have been the most logical option. Henrex's body floated over to Mirja on his wings, and his eyes looked at her. Kneeling down and stretching his hand out, Henrex had hoped to help his comrade up. If she didn't get up, this mission would get a whole lot harder. |

Bloody, Shadowy, Bastards. They were really starting to piss Mirja off. And more, if the Saca Dila that was approching Henrex was anything like her, he was in real trouble. Mirja managed to dislodge one of them, long enough to see Henrex get a fist in the face after freezing up seeing Mirja. Idiot. They were fighting clones of people, and he didn't have the sense to be a little bit suspicious of a Mirja without the shining gold-white gauntlets and greeves, or the black latex catsuit that she needed to stay protected from this place. She knew he could see in the dark, so what was with all this stupidity she was seeing?
Pissed, now, she blasted the Saca Dila with the light in her guantlet, burning their skin and vaporizing their bodies, smashing their hold on her and eventually reducing them all to naught but ash and a bad smell. However, there was one thing that was on her mind. Her Saca Dila was not nearly as strong as Mirja herself was. For one, Henrex was still conscious after taking a punch from her, so there was that. The bubble of darkness faded after her attack, and she was begining to feel the effects of using it twice, but could hold off on the exhaustion, for a little while.
Fake Mirja saw the darkness receeding, and then just vanished, using her Flash Steps to get away, and her total lack of anything that could be sensed to make it a clean break. Henrex arrived to help, but Mirja had already dealt with that, so grinned at him.
"You are lucky she's weak as piss, kiddo. You'd have no face, otherwise" she quipped, looking at the horde. It was thinning as they slaughtered them, but it needed some dedication to clean, not just per hit basis.
"Ok, Henrex. Discard your notions of offense, focus exclusively on clensing the taint, and I'll keep this buggers off you"

Henrex Astillon The Broken Raven Descend Into Darkness ...Is there really someone who cares? As the boy was approaching the real Mirja, his mind was constantly nagged with the thought of his idiocy for believing that the other one had been the real one. He had failed to notice the simple differences between the two, which had caused some minor injuries upon him because. Even more, why did he simply do what he had done?! When he looked at her, all he could do was have his body plant him in place, and his heart raced like a bullet. Thump thump, thump thump. His head was still ringing from it all, and blood continued to pour down his face from the injury, but he felt no pain from it, nor did he feel any pain from the initial impact to his head. All it did was shock him, cause him to bleed, and making his head shake. However, the feeling soon came to pass, as did the bleeding. For "unknown" reasons, the wound on Henrex's head had stopped bleeding, and had healed. However, Henrex still had one thing on his mind. The boy felt like such a fool. He had been tricked by something so simple. His training should have taught him better! As the black receded, Henrex's hand shot to the left side of his face, hiding the scars and burns once again, and his face partially turned a shade of pink, with his eye looking away from Mirja. It was embarrassing for himself to be distracted by Mirja's looks, and that was what had left him open to attack. His eye widened upon Mirja grinning at him, and just as he was about to resume looking at her, he couldn't. His eyes continued to shift from left to right, looking for something else to pay attention to. Luckily for Henrex, there was something. His eye narrowed as a Saca Dila tried to sneak up on Mirja. Flash stepping behind her, the combat boot of Henrex would lurch forward, landing swiftly into the stomach of this unfortunate little guy. For, right now, Henrex wanted information. And to get what he wanted? He would have to do something he hadn't done in years. Torture. Taking a deep breath, Henrex's foot soon lifted from the stomach of the Saca Dila, before slamming back down onto the chest, causing the Saca Dila to cry out in pain, and Henrex's eyes closed. Snapping his fingers, a stream of black would seem to peel from the blade, before the pitch black energy would form four small, black orbs that would hover in a square shape behind Henrex. Looking at the Saca Dila, Henrex would ask a simple question to the mysterious species that had come from the Black World. "....What are you?" A small time of silence from the species was enough to tell the boy that he would not be speaking anytime son, or, he couldn't. Shaking his head lightly, Henrex's eye shifted towards the blade of his sword, the blood-splattered weapon glinting in the light, but yet most of the blade still was hidden from the large amount of blood that had stained the blade. With no answer from his question, he would ask something else, instead. Perhaps this would get them to talk. "....What's one thousand minus seven?" Digging his foot into the chest of the Saca Dila, the figure would groan in pain, before the eyes of the Black World's spawn would spit out a small bit of blood, before growling. The blood that the spawn had spat landed on his cheek. The unscarred one, thankfully. Taking his thumb and smearing the bloodstain away, Henrex's normal empty, blank gaze soon changed to one of irritation. Snapping his fingers, his quiet voice would now give the Saca Dila the results of everything that he had just done. "....Wrong answer...." One of the four orbs morphed and manipulated into a single, black chain. As the Saca Dila's gaze shifted to look at the chain, and simply scoffed. Sighing and snapping his fingers once again, the single chain that had been simply floating next to Henrex's body now shuddered and shook, before hundreds of spikes ejected from the links of black energy, and the boy's index finger would point towards the Saca Dila. Shooting forward with immense speed, the chain quickly and precisely pierced the Saca Dila's arm, before the chain would begin to spin and swirl, tearing flesh and muscles, and the Saca Dila that had been subjected to this would feel unimaginable pain from it's currently, very short life. Cracking his neck, Henrex was prepared to do this all day if he had to. However, Mirja's words soon reached him, and the boy would simply kick away the Saca Dila, and the chain that had pierced it's body simply retreated back to Henrex's back, before morphing itself back into it's orb form. Spreading his wings, the boy lifted himself off the ground, and he would raise his weapon from his side, and held the weapon aloft. Whispering the command that was needed to release the seal on Henrex Astillon's Zanpakutō, the katana soon changed from a simple sword, to a massive scythe. With a sharp end, and a glowing aura of dark purple and black, the weapon was ready to pierce the hearts of it's victims, and ready to sever the souls from the bodies of who he was fighting. A small release of power came from Henrex as the time finally came where he had used his Shikai after perfecting it. Now gripping his weapon with both hands, his wider range of skills could quite possibly grant him a quicker means of cleansing the forests, rivers, and lakes of the most beautiful section of his home, the Rukongai. |

Mirja watched Henrex as, rather than help cleanse the taint, like Mirja was totally unable to do, he decided to torture one of the Saca Dila. Like that was going to be helpful. They hadn't uttered a word since the two got here, aside from the one that had vanished, and that sounded like a release phrase rather than anything of actual note. So he was really barking up the wrong tree, but that seemed to be his thing, so she just let him have it. It was also kind of amusing how he covered up when the darkness bubble dropped, but had not covered when it was up, so the covering was moot, now.
"You know I've got low-light vision when I use my Shikai, right? Your covering of your little things is kind of useless now. I've already seen everything you have to show, and as you are just now getting, these Saca Dila aren't exactly the most chatty, so they aren't going to spill any beans at all. Just, don't cover up, you know? Shinigami get hurt in the field, it's a thing that happens, no need to be so self-conscious about it" she told him, as he finally finished with the monster and flew up into the sky.
"Well, it's about time you actually listened to me" she muttered, watching for any of the Saca Dila while he did his flying, shooting, cleanse everyone with ouchy spikes of death thing. While up there, Mirja pondered the need for a bigger attack. She had the beam, which was decent for area clearance, but it wasn't very wide spread, and the beams were thin. She needed something with proper blast. Not that her Shikai could provide that, as such....

Henrex Astillon The Broken Raven Descend Into Darkness There is no failure except in no longer trying. Saca Dila....they were pointless trying to speak to. Mot of these recently spawned ones were basically mute from the lack of conversation, and the small, short lived torture session that Henrex had subjected one of the creatures to had proven this. However, they most certainly could feel pain. They may have mostly been mindless spawns, but they were alive. The scythe that he wielded glided through the air, sending orbs of black everywhere throughout the Forest, before they would land within the infection. As the Black World's virus threatened to swallow these orbs of spiritual energy, they vanished. Instead of ejecting outwards, the orbs would simply....just disappear. However, as the Raven's eyes began to close, which was causing these orbs to perform these actions, they would soon snap open, causing the orbs of energy to fluctuate unstably, before exploding. The small explosion eliminated hundreds of spawning Saca Dila, and cleansed a large portion of the infection due to the cores of black being scattered everywhere. Gripping his scythe tighter, Henrex began to channel energy to the very tip of the scythe, spawning a single, large, black core. Raising the massive weapon above his head, he would slam his Shikai into the ground, slashing into the back of the core, before a large beam flew forward, piercing the infection. However, as the beam pierced this infection, Henrex would close his eyes, and focus a larger amount of energy within this beam. The energy blast would begin to widen and consume more and more of the infection, purifying the land. While this did cleanse a large amount of what was needed, he could still see large patches of black. Twirling his scythe around and above him, Henrex soon launched himself off the ground by kicking off, with his weapon behind him. A black aura would form around the large blade of the weapon, and Henrex's slashes would now be at the very least, twice as powerful as before, and with his energy now seemingly attached to the blade, he could now cure the infection without having to use a large amount of energy to purify his home. However, the thought still lingered in his mind about Mirja knowing about his scars and burns. They didn't come from being a Shinigami. They were a permanent reminder of his past.
