Wiping his eye clean of the tears that had began streaming down his pale face, Henrex did a quick overview of the room, and what had happened. A wine glass had been dropped or thrown, and shards of sharp glass flew in multiple directions. One of them being his own. With his eye staring directly at the shard that flew towards him, Henrex could see that it might be able to deal minor damage to him if he did not do something. Blinking once, Henrex simply lifted his hand from his side, causing a small wall of pure black and purple energy to erect from the floor. No damage down to the floor itself, however.

The medium sized shard of glass impacted the small barrier, and the delicate, but deadly item fell to the floor, shattering. As the barrier faded, Henrex could feel some sort of....pulsation within his revealed eye. Putting his gloved hand to where the pulsation was coming from, he pressed his middle and index fingers to the eye, but then....the pulsation immediately stopped. It was a strange feeling that had come when he had stopped the shard of glass from hitting his eye, but he quickly dismissed it. Kneeling down and gently scooping the small pieces of the glass in his hand, he soon rose and silently stepped over to the trash can, before turning his hand over and allowing the shards to fall into the waste.

Turning around to walk back to his isolated area, the boy then heard something that made him wince from the setting that the attendees were in. A man flirting. Here? Henrex's eye narrowed and a scowl formed under the scarf that covered his face. It disgusted him to hear someone talking as such at a time of mourning. Turning his head to the left, he saw the "perpetrator". Silently walking over, Henrex soon passed the man on his way to the casket to pick up the remaining shards of broken glass. Whispering something towards the man, he would simply give his general opinion on what he was doing.

"If you want to flirt, don't do it at a funeral. I, as well as other consider it disrespectful to the deceased that we are honoring here."

Continuing his silent walk, the black clad boy would slowly kneel down, before picking up the shards of glass that lay on the floor. Picking up the large pieces with his fingers, and slowly pushing the smaller pieces of glass onto his hand, then standing and repeating the same thing he had done with the other shards of glass. Quietly sighing to himself, Henrex's eye soon shifted towards one single figure that stood out to him above the rest. Shadin. He was here. A cold shiver was sent down the spine of the young Shinigami. Swallowing nervously, Henrex quickly averted his gaze at the Beast of Karakura.

His silent footsteps began to lead him in the direction that he desired most as of then. The one away from others. Henrex's eye soon pinned itself on the casket. The jet black iris slowly moved around, scanning everyone who he could see, registering their appearance in his Cyberbrain. In case he ever saw them again, he would recognize their appearance. However, he was kicking his Cyberbrain into overdrive, scanning people immensely quick. With his Extreme Processing Speed active, it wasn't a big hassle for him to register appearances only.

His eye darted around the room, looking around for nothing in particular, but simply to keep himself aware of his surroundings. Raising his hand to the scarf around his face, Henrex's gloved fingers gently wrapped around the black cloth, tightening it by the slightest, before readjusting the scarf so that it covered everything but the smallest of skin around his right eye. Feeling the pulsation from before, Henrex gently pressed against his closing eye, before he felt the pulsing weakening. What was this? Gently shaking his head, Henrex quickly shook this feel off. It was not time to focus on petty things such as this.

There were more important things that mattered right now.

I walk a path...with no end....

Artist: Undertale OST - Song: Your Best Friend - Word Count: 914

Some cried, some stood there disbelieving. Honestly Blackheart had expected a few people to come when he put this together. However the room itself was packed and it was beyond merely full. It gave him a warm feeling in his chest to know, well that so many people would come. Come to pay respects to a man that gave everything for his people, which was why as he exhaled he thought that it might be fitting to get this show on the road. Ignoring the man who seemed to have thought, that a funeral was a good place to pick people up. Brushing through the crowd without putting to much effort into it until he stood up once more on the slightly raised platform, exhaling once as he waited ultimately for people to have time to say their peace, and sort themselves out; only then would he raise his voice slightly over the hushed murmur of the crowd and said in a tone that was strained simply because of the ramifications of what it meant.

”..Now. . i need a few volunteers to help carry the casket, it can be as many people or as few people as want to come and do it, however the burial place is a special site prepared directly in front of the vanguard base, a small memorial has already been erected there. “

He finished what he wanted to say, but this time he didn’t step down. He himself wanted to help carry the casket, to shoulder his leader's final moments until he was put into his new resting place. It didn’t really matter that the body wasn’t there, or that Azure’s final moments led to many problems on earth with meteors falling all over the place because ultimately? Azure had been a man whom Blackheart had trusted, who had done so much for the vanguard even up to his final moments. Hence it would have been ludicrous for him to do anything else other than seeing him off in the end, hence why even as Blackheart stood there, he wouldn’t feel strain of discomfort anymore, he was merely at this point mulling over in his head the past up until now. The achievements and the failures all wrapped up into one . . and he certainly didn’t find it lacking.

“..If only azure could look at us from wherever he is and see this. . to see how many people recognized him, and mourn his loss.”

Blackheart didn’t let the smile that accompanied those words onto his face, but he was smiling internally all the same. It was comforting to him, to know that many people mourned the loss of this major figure. Hopefully this would also be a catalyst to set the cogs into motion in finally finishing this on again off again relationship the protectors of earth had with the organizations of the world that sought it to do harm. Azure wanted to liberate those who had been oppressed, and tried to follow that ideal in Iceland, at least that was what Blackheart thought, and even if it was entirely incorrect he’d probably believe that until someone gave him a better answer to it. So with his mind wandering he’d continue to stand, and continue to wait to see who ultimately would come forward to help bring azure to his final resting place in the home he had made for himself with the vanguard.

The Iron King

Desmond Hayden

Song: N/a STUFF - Artist: N/A STUFF - Words: N/A

Hayden was running late. Though with all the shit that was going on could anyone blame him?

The idea of attending the funeral of his leader was something that brought out a soft sadness within the male. But those thoughts were cast aside as he approached the building a knot of tension building inside his gut, perhaps it was because he would be arriving late or more likely it was the fact the man he held so mixed emotions about was dead. There was always an ambiguity between Desmond and Azure, one that would force Hayden to work that much harder to prove he wasn’t simply some soldier following in the shadow of a titan. Words he would never get to say.

Yet, as he opened the doors softly he saw all types of people ranging from Radioactive to that of mourning friends he’d assume. It was strange honestly, seeing Radioactive in his shinigami robes something Hayden thought of doing before settling on his Vanguardian uniform- something fitting for him personally due to how invested Hayden and Azure were both in the organization.

Some glances were immediately thrown his way, perhaps a look of surprise that he actually showed up while others simply turned their heads back to the main podium where a man stood asking for volunteers to carry the casket. At first, Hayden was ready to step forward but he paused- did he deserve to perform such an act? Was he good enough friends with Azure? Friends even? No. Hayden and Azure were not friends per say but they respected each other- they both believed in something bigger than themselves. So after a brief moment of hesitation he began to walk forward, his shoulders sliding back and forth as people parted.

“I’d like to.” Hayden chimed softly as he now stood in the front of the crowd, feeling exposed with all the eyes on him. No doubt some were sizing up the potential leader of the Vanguard, some might even see this as a disrespect while others a deep show of respect. He took a small breath before exhaling.

“I didn’t agree with Azure on much, but I respected the man- I respected what he tried to do. I’d like to be able to say my respects; and to show them.” He informed blackheart waiting for a reaction.
