LITTLE MIS LIU HEATS IT UP
Artist: REDALICE - Song: Heian Inferno - Word Count: 691
Pant Doggy, Pant!
It seemed that The Wolf Shinigami was working overtime in order to keep herself in this fight. The exhaustion was setting in, the injuries were piling up and the realization of where this battle was heading was being drilled into her head. Yet, in spite of all these setbacks, it seemed that the daunting Little Wolf still was determined to try and see this through to the very end. Which, in the mind of The Hell Beast, was more than a little amusing! It was enough to make her roar with laughter as she prepared to engage the projectile pup.
After all, every single action that The Shinigami manged to make succeeded with 100% marks across the boards. Why bother tampering with such a perfect score?! Not even the volley of energy spheres would bother coming back upwards to fry Yuki after she sacrificed so much just for a game.
Some could see this as underestimating your opponent, others could see it as being lazy and some might even view it as being super cocky; but in the mind of Liu -- this was just a gesture of respect and admiration for her foe putting so much into trying to reach her. After managing to make it this far in the game, it would be such a shame to just disrespect her opponent and just so lazily dispose of them, eh?
So, instead of going on the defensive or offensive, our Hell Demon decided to go forward with an offensive plan to meet this target face to face. As, there was a sentiment burning within herself that screamed: "If she was going to potentially conclude things, Liu felt it would be best if she got off her lazy behind and actually do something!!!" Therefore, The Underworld Ruler took a soft breath, focused her demonic energy into her right fist and locked her eyes solely on the air-bound pup.
[TECHNIQUES BEING USED ARE IN EACH OF THE SEPARATE SPOILERS]
- Spoiler:
Hūxī Běnzhí: Inhale in new life and exhale old decay. That is the basic principle of breathing and a fundamental aspect of Devil Chi Style. By practicing slowed breathing, one rejects the chains of unsteadiness within and breathes in the winds of balance and tranquility. In turn, by this focused breathing, the one who practices this aspect of Devil Chi Style brings stability to their body.
In Liu's case, it allows her to become more aware of her heart rate. With a lower heart rate, the taxation of her body greatly lowered. By achieving a less-stressed state of mental and physical being, the stamina of her embodiment is increased tenfold and brought to its prime potential. From there, her perception awakened and is then slowed. In doing so, this allows The Hell Beast to take in everything at a leisurely pace that is around their environment.
For the more they attune themselves to their inner universe, the more the outer universe around them. Through the wonders of Za Koa, the spirit of demonic magic is adjusted to their souls wavelength and allows them to reach combative enlightenment. In turn, their senses are brought to the utmost of alertness and they reach a balanced state of being. This allows Liu complete understanding of her internal self to prevent misuse of her plentiful energy, while becoming greatly attentive to the outer world around her.
- Spoiler:
- Yālì Bàoliè: Pressure Burst is a rather simple technique in nature. By punching the air, Liu is able to release multiple eruptions of pressurized force on the area. These have a range that expands upwards of one hundred to two meters and are often about as big as a bala. These are often performed in order to flood the opponent with numerous attacks in order to wear down on their defenses, cause noticeable injuries and blow most weaker foes out of the way. As this blast is capable of leveling down rows of cannon fodder with relative ease. It is limited by how much physical stamina Liu has until she gets tired of hitting the air.
The flow of the universe around her slowed, the perception of time became enhanced and Liu had a fixation on the trajectory which would ultimately bring Yuki hurdling towards her. In preparation for this, The Hell Demon spread each of her feet out, raised her right fist in the air and punched the empty space ahead herself in order to send an eruption pressure hurdling towards The Little Wolf. Given the fact that her canine senses would play a factor into the consideration of future events; she'd probably pick up on the awful sound and force of wind heading her way.
This single punch yielded enough destructive power behind it to crush the remaining bones in The Shinigami's body. Should she find herself on the wrong end of this attack, it would be akin to being slammed straight into an on-coming train and the barbaric strength of her demonic lineage was going to more than rear it's ugly head i n this instance. Thus, given the amount of power being put into this technique, it was more than likely that Yuki would be repelled and sent hurdling back into the oceanic waters. That is what Liu was banking on, at least.
It was up to The Shinigami to determine how she could cope with an attack and The Hell Demon was interested to see how she'd fair at this point in the game. If there was a way for her to endure this assault? Then The Hell Demon wouldn't move from her spot. However, if she lost it out here? Then perhaps Liu would call it match and seek to conclude their little tit for tat play session and give her the mystery prize.
Oh. Right. She forgot to mention that there was going to be a bonus reward given for the round of dodge-ball The Wolf just played. Eh, it could wait for later, right? She was more interested in seeing the results of her current round before tallying up the final score.
