ENTER THE DEPTHS

“..Thankyou.. “
Her words came out and echoed softly across the expanse. It would be directed towards the ally that had come in, who had given her the breathing room she naturally needed by removing the people that had been in the way. Next her energy seemed to shift as she let her bow vanish. Simply because she wouldn’t be able to do what she wanted to do with her quincy arrows. Next as the lances came the energy began to thrum against her skin, creeping and crawling to cause reishi to take tangible form. Blue turning silver, blasting outwards before the city was lit up like the sun had descended. A blinding flash of light while energy rose, further and further, reaching into the heights of oblivion while not causing a lick of damage. As even when there was power there was control, the ability to compound her normally immense discharge radius to the very atoms that had remained across her skin. Yet this was not even the beginning of the vastness of what she was doing, instead the energy continued to warp and contort to her own whim and will, power increasing and altering itself for the moment, the amount of power being drawn in going up to a mile radius, bathing the world around with a miasma. Not of violent energy that would trigger the city's defenses but of energy from every nook and cranny, every iota of spare reishi fled it’s original habitat as the Quincy seemed to glow an ethereal silver-blue.
Her voice seemed to echo outwards, powerful and pure, frigid like ice. It would boom with it’s own power, it’s own brand of controlled volatility, she had merely let the energy awash her body while the skies seemed to as a byproduct be tinged in free-floating reishi particles, the balance between energy being drawn in and the energy being discharged , speeding up ten fold, causing energy to be expelled as it was drawn in. The effect of this? Even if she wasn’t as strong with her natural reserves as annie, her compounded spiritual pressure would increase over ten times , causing the spears to be swamped in this oppressive energy while they continued down on their descent to her body. Then they had collided while she focused and concentrated, the raw power that was on the breadth of her fingertips jolting her own mind into oblivion. It was so much raw power , that even she was beginning to struggle to even contain it all. Given what she was doing was not ascending, it was not releasing her P-the Power ability. No it was instead having halting it at a certain stage then increasing the interval of drawing energy in and dispersing it, shortening it to a simple second to cause her energy to begin to rise scaling to the point that for now?
With this force of will, drawing her power to the upper limits at this level of release, she was trying to break into her vollstandig or atleast a state that would be of a similar plane of power, and with her own energy levels it was certainly possible but the problem was it took immense amounts of concentration, immense amounts of force, and stupendous levels of will to man-handle the ever growing flow of energy that was beginning to blast through her core, rocked her veins, and caused her eyes to shimmer. In fact as the turbulence hit the spears she was beginning to push against them, her body straining her mind focused to the point it was like a knife. The amount of energy was not enough, she needed more, she also however couldn’t merely deflect the spears. She needed to destroy it so completely while exercising the highest level of control or she would not be able to keep the landscape from being altered. It seemed Annie was giving her all , and even if the quincy wasn’t fond of her, it would be foolish for her to give anything less than her absolute best, which was why she found that kernel of power within herself.
The slumbering side that she had never touched because of the fact that she had never pushed herself so hard, and she began to PULL. she pulled from within herself, forcing the powers that be to climb to the stairs of inifinity, as her whole power was built around the concept of drawing in energy and then dispersing it to a theoretical infinity. Now in actuality she was unable to hold that form long, which was why she was not pulling the level of energy to infinity. She instead was shortening the scale, explosively increasing the discharges at the same time, and this monumental strain would be easily seen on the quincy’s body and her face. It would be a mask of immense concentration that was the sheer level of willpower that she was putting on herself. She would not break, she would not bow. She was a shell, a rigid wall that would protect, would win, would fight, would cherish, would learn, would hate, and would . . Ultimately SURVIVE. With her life on the line she was not going to back down.
She instead pushed further railing against the disparity that was the abominable gap in power between them. Reishi would begin to take shape on her back forming wings as if she was some sort of celestial being, when she was but a human, the raw reishi she was handling increasing in frequency, but not in intensity anymore, and she would continue to force the amount of power to change as the spears began to slow, it was fourteen spears, and around them fourteen sphere’s would begin to form of raw reishi, each one turning into reiryoku from the raw amount of willpower she was exerting from there the sphere’s would compact further and further slowing the spears down until she was able to essentially shatter them, causing immense amounts of energy to erupt in each direction before her own body seemed to shiver from the raw exhertion. She wasn’t feeling good and for now she really didn’t like the odds that she had if the fight continued.. However the reishi in the air was so dense here.. She could feel it overflowing giving her even more strength then what she may have in somewhere like antarctica. Because of it she had been able to pull off the negation of the spears and right now she was focusing on forcibly steadying her own breathing. .
Even if the ground looked hazy and the sky looked blurry, even as she spat blood to the side from the intense level of energy she had exherted to destroy those spears. It wasn’t like she was going to stop this fight, not with innocent lives all around. This was the reason she had over the years stayed on the path that she had. She had done this all for them. The people, her people, and for the world. As she exhaled and felt the power boil and brim to the surface she could feel it, her doubts beginning to ease, her soul beginning to quietly accept that this fight could seriously mess her up, that if she drew any more power from her ability, or elevated herself any higher that the damage might become more than the trickle of blood running down the side of her mouth. Because she was a container that could in theory pull out energy from the air on vast levels that were practically unheard of even for a quincy, however her body was rarely able to even stomach that amount of energy, there was always after affects from drawing her power out even beyond the threshold of 50%, it was why she was so strong even if she registered as so weak. It wasn’t her power but the “Potential” To be that was so frightening about her. It was merely a matter of breaking that invisible wall that she kept all of herself bottled up inside for, the true hellish capacity of her’s to unfold.
So she pushed and pushed and pushed some more, even as she had nearly been struck partially by one of the weapons that Annie had fired, the force of it causing her body to shiver to the side blood running from the chunk it bit from her. This was something known as a “Gap” In power, the wall that was so steep that if she wanted to overcome it she would need more power, even more than she had now with the dizzying heights of her energy drawing and expelling at an absurd rate, so as she could feel the skies dimming she wondered just why the world was so unfair. . Why was it she was not strong enough to protect? Even when that’s what she dedicated her entire life towards, protect the innocent. Protect the weak. Protect the weary from the rest of the world. It was what she was trying to do for her people, she was trying to make a place they could live in and they could prosper in, for those who didn’t believe in Nozomi it was her job as one of Nozomi’s disciples to build them a home that they too could cherish and hold dear. Yet she didn’t even have the power to repel a single hollow that was in a place that they couldn’t and shouldn’t be in. .
It. . Was laughable, and as she could feel the cold digging into her body there was but a single thought that went in time with her heartbeat. . That thought was . “Not yet. “ No not yet could she stop and let it all go, she could not allow such a thing to happen to her, simply because she was not going to call it quits. There was all these dreams that she had, all these aspirations that she had yet to gain, all these things that she had left unsaid. If she was gone now that their emperor had gone silent and left them adrift who would keep their people going in the dark? Who would be able to help lead them, to give them strength? That thought allowed her hands to rest on her knee’s while her mouth parted and she let more blood spatter from her mouth from the amount of energy that she was drawing from her being. It was in this moment of pure doubt that she could find her own resolve building and building even past her normal limits. It was then that she looked forward and let her body slowly straighten, the dulled look in her eyes remained , but she would raise her hand, the movement slow, the movement shaky.
13 spears.. She had managed to eliminate 13. . If that was the extent of her power then that meant she merely had to surpass.. To BECOME. Which was why as she raised her hand the silver gave way to gold, a gentle aura that seemed to rise and disperse like a mist. It radiated across her being and lit her up, but more importantly she imbedded within this energy a single word one that would be heard by thousands if not tens of thousands that bustled below unaware of the powerful being that stood within their midst. That word would simply be. . “Run.” It would be said with importance and strength to the point that the streets would become a mass of bodies which began to flee in every direction, methodically emptying until finally the hospital was on lockdown, and further there was not a soul in site, the golden energy radiating outwards while her marking was momentarily obscured. . blood running from her mouth as she looked up at annie and studied the immensely powerful being, and as she did she thought. . .
”..Is this what the pinnacle looks like? The insurmountable wall that lay between us. . Is it too high to scale, to powerful to defend against? What must i do to gain the power within my own bosom to face this menace head on? Is it faith, must i pray to a god above? Or is it blasphemy? Must i pray to the devil within? Or is it resolve. The resolve to delve into my own powers and end up eternally crippled in the backlash? THINK. What must you do to overcome this immense obstacle? Is there something you can do? THINK.” Her mind was forcing herself in overdrive, as she took in all the possibilities and all the ways she could even begin to force this entire thing into fruition. . . If she wanted to stop this individual she had to focus and make herself stronger still. So she would by will alone begin to focus and shape all her power together and the results? Well her bow’s length would elongate the width of it expanding to around 100 feet in either direction the power increasing as the bow’s color changed from blue to gold. Her hand raising to grip the string as she slowly seemed to look forward. Her expression neutral as she said in a voice that seemed to reverberate like thunderclaps.
”..This is your last warning. Leave or face the consequences. I am not in a good mood.”
