The time is currently 12:00 CST time on June 25, 2416. In this ring, the opponents will be dropped off in a forest arena. It expands for four city blocks and is filled with various wild life, swords with master durabiltiy scattered about and a few energy cells which can restore a persons health by 25% (one found in the south, east, west and north edges of the arena). However -- everything in this world is upside down. So, once the opponents accept these terms, they will be transported into the ring and will have to navigate carefully.

The eyes that were filled with blood-lust and insanity gazed upon the battle field he now stood upon. However....it was not QUITE the battleground he was hoping to fight on. He wasn't exactly complaining about the forest appearance. In fact, he was happy with it. A grin as wide as half the man's face grew. As his feet made contact with the grassy arena, the sound of damp mud squishing from boots slamming against the ground filled the forest. His grin grew as wide as his entire jaw, and he thrust his arms outwards. The breeze now flowed through his clothing, which made the cloth ripple furiously. It felt like Karakura Forest!
However, there was one thing that was making him quickly regret his decision. All of the blood throughout the Dark Chi Wielder's body was flowing to his head. Or, in more science-like terms, the blood was rushing to his brain, making him feel slightly light-headed. The Demon Queen had made this area. It was all part of her plan. In short, many people had come far and wide to fight in this battle. Some by their own volition, others by chance. If one were to win six fights in a row, they would be awarded Greece. A very...noble gesture for the Demon Queen.
The Wielder of Dark Chi simply raised his arms and shoulders into a shrug, directed at no one. He didn't care about gettin' Greece. Hell, why SHOULD he care? He was a psychotic murderer! He didn't have time to care about some shit like Greece. Good ol' comfy Karakura Central was enough for him. He just wanted someone to beat the shit out of! A nice beating, then a good round of torture....then death! A good routine that The Wielder of Dark Chi used quite often, especially when torturing someone in Karakura Central. His heart skyrocketed at the idea of torture! One of his favorite things to do!
With the maniac's right arm reaching towards his left side, brushing the blue jacket he wore on his shoulder away. This would reveal a katana with aqua blue wrappings around the hilt. His fingers would slowly grace the hilt, before they would wrap around it. Vanyel Xioyang's grin grew even more. His smile was now from ear to ear. He slowly rose his arm, which still held the katana's hilt. The blade withdrew from the sheath at his side delicately. The gleaming steel of the katana gleamed within the sunlight, making the afternoon sunlight shine off the blade, before the light would hover a single tree. With the heat of the sunlight reflecting off of the blade of his katana, the tree that the light had hovered over would slowly begin to burn. With each step Vanyel took within this forest, he would angle to blade differently.
Each time he re-angled his sword, it would not change where the sunlight was hitting, but rather, keeping it within a single spot. This would cause the tree he had the light focused on to burst into flames. The fire quickly engulfed the tree, incinerating it completely. As the ashes of the tree flew through the air, they would flow in a downward direction. That's right. Vanyel had almost forgotten. The area was upside down! This would be....much more interesting than his previous fights with others. As he continued his walk, he lowered his arm, allowing the sunlight to continue shining down on this strange arena.
Vanyel stopped his movement. He had found something. A sword impaled in the ground? Hm. Perhaps it was a part of the area? Or was it something that some careless moron had dropped? Oh well. It was his now. Vanyel slowly got down onto one knee, placing one arm on his left leg, and used his other to reach for this sword. The moment he picked it up, he knew one thing about this sword. It was strong. This sword most likely crafted by Queen Mana during the creation of this arena. There was no way a random sword like this would have simply dropped from the sky!
As his pale fingers wrapped around the strange sword's hilt, Vanyel easily pulled it from it's solitary place within the earth. As he brought it close for inspection, his face wrinkled into a face of disgust. This sword had dirt all over it's clean, beautiful steel blade! Everywhere upon the blade! From the base of it, all the way to the tip. Such an annoyance! Vanyel hated cleaning weapons. A necessary task to keep one's weapons at their prime, cleaning weapons was something that Vanyel absolutely dreaded. To him, this task simply wasted valuable time that could be spent killing! Vanyel's lungs and chest heaved for a moment to release a sigh.
So pointless...
Vanyel groaned in annoyance before he twisted his wrist, flipping the katana over. He would use his other hand to sheath his current weapon. His own katana. He wasn't about to clean one and get the other dirty! The hand-guard of the weapon made a small clacking sound as it collided with the gold lining around the sheath. The sound echoed through the forest he was in, but Vanyel would pay little regard to it. It's not like he was in danger yet, was he? The hand that recently sheathed his sword now floated over to his shirt, or rather, under it. By doing this, he could now clean his new weapon more easily.
His slowly slid the end of his shirt that covered his hand over the blade, sliding any loose dirt from the steel. A small portion of the dirtiness came off, but it still left a mildly large amount. Vanyel's teeth clenched and his grip on the blade through his shirt tightened. Annoying. That was what Vanyel felt of his current task. However, if he wanted to use this blade at all, he had to clean it. He grumbled under his breath, muttering how idiotic the task was. With the tighter grip of the cloth and blade, he slid the cloth over the area where the most dirt lie, then moved it back. The dirt was a little muddy, but a few more scrubs with his shirt quickly removed this.
Vanyel then began to repeat this process with the rest of the blade, and in short time, found himself done with it. Thank God. He rose from his kneeling position to a standing one, before slowly stretching his arms out, to which, a loud crack from not only his shoulders, but his back as well. The loosening of strain on his body felt amazing to Vanyel. It was one of the only feelings that would please him, aside from murder. His grin returned, now similar to that of a Cheshire Cat. An ear to ear grin was common for Vanyel. Especially when the situation was something he was interested in. The new blade now rested on his right shoulder, with the shining steel gleaming in the afternoon sunlight.
His opponent should be arriving sometime soon.....

As soon as Masaru had arrived in the arena the first thing he did was activate his Necrom form. He then started to move quickly, his opponent was an apparent psychopath. He wouldn't loose his first match but it was possible after all. As he made his way through the forest quickly he perched in a tree and he noticed...that the world was literally upside down...he could use this to his advantage. He smirked under his helm and hung 'upside down' in the tree, the blood wouldn't rush to his head. He took a few deep breaths and started to focus, as three small Ganma eyecons formed he let them drop to the ground, one of them stayed in it's eyecon form and Masaru nodded to it and it flew off, the other two stayed guard with him, as they weren't living beings they didn't have any blood that would rush to their heads, he pointed to the blades that were nearby and one by one they picked them up, stock piling them and arming themselves with the blades.
The eyecon searched around the the forest constantly, it was way too small for anyone to see it, so the eyecon flew high into the air as it began it's search. It eventually found Vanyel and would proceed to follow him, keep an eye on him to ensure Masaru's opponent wouldn't be able to take Masaru by surprise. As Masaru hung from the tree he had his GanGunSaber prepared and in gun mode so that if he was to be spotted and suddenly charged at, he and the ganma would open fire. While the ganma had blades that easily were better than theirs a ranged attack would be the best thing to do first. He was going to show that he could be a master with tactics, and his goal was primarily to wear his opponent down and go in for the kill...literally if he had to. Masaru was not going to hesitate to end the life of a psychotic maniac. If his plan were to fail he'd simply run for it and then come up with another one, the eyecon that was spying on Vanyel was broadcasting what it was seeing to Masaru, he had his eyes on his target...now to try and build a small force to take him down as quickly as possible.
'Saa, omae no tsumi o...kazoero...' was the one thing that ran through Masaru's mind as he simply waited for Vanyel to hopefully walk into a trap later rather than sooner.

Vanyel may have been one crazy mother fucker, who cared little to none about defense and strategy, but it didn't mean he didn't observe anything. His eyes slowly moved around, scanning the arena. With his eyes flashing red, his Jiaodan would activate. This would cause him to now be able to see much more than the normal human eye could. It could allow him to see an aura of energy around someone, see things that would normally be too fast for a normal human, and more. As he looked around he was scanning for one thing primarily. Spiritual energy. As he looked around, he found it. Masaru. His enemy. Or, as Vanyel liked to call it....his prey. He licked his lips with excitement as he now knew where his prey was. It was a good thing. It saved him the trouble of finding him.
- Spoiler:
Jiaodian: This Sei ability is very handy for Vanyel, since is gives him the ability to see things much more clearly than he could normally, due to this Sei ability, Jiaodian. It has allowed him to see things like an aura of Chi around someone when he looks at them, see attacks that would normally be too fast for a normal human, and even, if he amps it up, dodge bullets and other types of small projectiles. This is a skill very useful in combat, especially for Vanyel. However, he can't keep this on all the time he as a time limit for this, since it drains his Chi much faster with the increased power. When he keeps this at a medium to a low level, this drains him, but not by too much, allowing him to use this much longer in combat. But when he turns up the power, it starts really taking a toll on him. He would at first start out with a headache, which would evolve into a migraine, then his eyes hurting. If he managed to keep it up this long, he would eventually pass out, since he had practically spent all of his energy on this. But his does not happen very often, since he knows his limits, and tries his hardest not to overexert himself when he reaches these limits.
Vanyel grinned as he slowly slipping the second katana he now had onto a belt loop on the back of his pants. With the back of his pants now acting as a sheath, the blade of the katana dangled from the belt loop, twisting itself around as the katana hung there, keeping it firmly in place. With his new katana now securely upon his body, he now could have a possible advantage over this other human who he was facing. As the grin grew even wider, the muscles in his feet and legs would begin to tense, before he would leap up mere inches from the ground....and vanish.
His body re-materialized in a tree above him. Using his form of flash step, Buzhou, he used the energy of Sei and Dou to make his body move at a moment's worth of immensely high speed. Using Dou's energy to force him in the upwards direction, and the Sei energy silencing the high speed movement. By using this, it would seem at a first glace that Vanyel had simply vanished. Disappeared. Gone. However, he had merely moved to higher ground. Now he had the height advantage....didn't he? Everything was confusing in this upside down arena. However....this difference in the setting was a bit fun. It was a change to what Vanyel was used to in combat.
With this change, he knew that not only could he adapt to this, but also be able to understand it better than than Masaru. As his tongue slithered over his lips, his grin grew wider, revealing two sets of white, fang-like teeth that gleamed in the shadows of the forest. It was time to prime his attack, then strike. The kid would have no idea on what hit him! As Vanyel slowly removed the katana he had collected and cleaned earlier from his belt loop, now moving it in front of him in a basic kendo guard, and then gripped the sword with both hands. One overhead strike. That would be all he needed. But first....he had to get close.
Vanyel's feet would dig into the branch of the tree he was standing on. He slowly began gathering Dark Chi into the Qiqong of his feet, with the prime energy of this channeling being Dou energy. The violent, constantly moving energy began to build up pressure where his feet were. As it did, Vanyel drew his hands to his shoulder, placing the palm of his hand against the pommel of the sword, before the pressure under his feet reached the maximum. The energy he had stored within the Qiqong of his feet exploded, propelling him forward. However, with the addition of the Sei energy, this blast was completely silent.
This was not a separate skill of Vanyel's. This was simply him propelling himself through the air with his Dark Chi. As he did, he would sail over many, many trees, with the tips of his boots skimming across the leaves of these trees. With his new sword in hand, Vanyel slashed around him at the branches that threatened to harm him. The branched were sliced down in mere moments. As he continued to seemingly fly through the forest, he grew close to the ground. Sticking his feet out beneath him, Vanyel would dig his steel-lined combat boots into the ground, slowing his fast movement to a stop.
As this would happen, Vanyel would immediately recoil and launch himself in the reverse direction. Why? When he had essentially, launched himself like a rocket, he had intentionally launched himself past his opponent. As he did, it would give him time to prepare his attack. While he was launching himself towards his enemy, he would let go of the katana with his right hand, leaving his left hand to hold the steel blade. Doing this allowed him to charge a Yoh attack, which would begin by sparking a single sphere of black and energy upon his palm. As the sphere sparked and fizzed, Vanyel zoomed even closer to his opponent.
Vanyel reached his feet out again, skidding his feet against the brown dirt of the arena that would slow him down. He was now directly in front of Masaru. As he skidded to a stop, he would draw the blade of the katana he had collected earlier to his right shoulder immensely quick. As he did, the blade would begin to spark with black and crimson energy. He was covering the katana he now held with Chi. This katana would now be almost an extension of his own body. As the blade of the katana sparked and fizzed, he swung the blade. As the steel weapon left his shoulder, Vanyel would swing this blade in a wide arc around him.
As he did, he would extend the length of the Dark Chi covering the weapon to form an even larger blade on the katana. As he did, the blade would slice through the trees around him, causing them to fall...upwards? Oh, that's right. Everything was upside down. He had forgotten! Such a simple mistake. However, this was the first part of Vanyel's show of power. As he raised the arm that was left to charge the Yoh attack, the arm would raise to be near his face, with the energy sphere still sparking and fizzing, the dark crimson light would shine onto Vanyel's face, giving him a menacing look.
- Spoiler:
Chengtan: An advanced application of Xianfeng, Chengtan allows Vanyel to envelop his Dark Chi around something, using it as if it were an extension of his own body. This means Vanyel could extend the length of his Xianfeng around something, giving it the same protection that Xianfeng would grant a human's body. Some Chi users are even able to infuse some of their energy into an object, giving it tremendous power. Vanyel is capable, and has done this with mainly his katana, forged by Kunitome, one of the greatest sword-makers of all time. The sword, called "Kuro Komo" (Black Cloud), was named Kunitome's best sword ever. Vanyel intended to keep it that way. He murdered the man with his own creation. After he was banished from the Xu Family, Vanyel sought revenge for what they did, and he knew that he would have to upgrade his weapons to get his revenge. So he did this using Chengtan. He enveloped his sword in his Dark Chi, giving it even more power.
His grin grew wider as the maniac slid his tongue over his lips once more, excited at the fight that was about to get started. The thoughts of how this fight would progress flowed through his mind like a river current. It was making him want to attack more and more. But, however, when his Yoh was charged, it would be stronger. Then would be the time to strike. It was only a matter of time. Vanyel grinned even more as his menacing glare seemed to stare daggers at Masaru. Not of anger, mind you, but of interest. The extended Chengtan-formed blade sooned retreated back to the blade, forcing the blade to return to it's normal size. The Dark Chi from before would now simply be a glowing black aura around the katana.
This katana would now be resting at his side, while the orb of energy would still be fizzing and sparking next to his face. This wouldn't harm him, oh no. It would simply make his appearance all the more sinister....and evil. Vanyel's lips and teeth parted, to simply say a single phrase.
"Hey kid. Ready to die?"
