The time is currently 12:00 CST time on June 25, 2416. In this ring, the opponents will be dropped off in a forest arena. It expands for four city blocks and is filled with various wild life, swords with master durabiltiy scattered about and a few energy cells which can restore a persons health by 25% (one found in the south, east, west and north edges of the arena). However -- everything in this world is upside down. So, once the opponents accept these terms, they will be transported into the ring and will have to navigate carefully.

ENTER THE VESSEL OF MADNESS

Artist: N/A - Song: Death By Glamour Dual Mix - Word Count: 1165

The eyes that were filled with blood-lust and insanity gazed upon the battle field he now stood upon. However....it was not QUITE the battleground he was hoping to fight on. He wasn't exactly complaining about the forest appearance. In fact, he was happy with it. A grin as wide as half the man's face grew. As his feet made contact with the grassy arena, the sound of damp mud squishing from boots slamming against the ground filled the forest. His grin grew as wide as his entire jaw, and he thrust his arms outwards. The breeze now flowed through his clothing, which made the cloth ripple furiously. It felt like Karakura Forest!

However, there was one thing that was making him quickly regret his decision. All of the blood throughout the Dark Chi Wielder's body was flowing to his head. Or, in more science-like terms, the blood was rushing to his brain, making him feel slightly light-headed. The Demon Queen had made this area. It was all part of her plan. In short, many people had come far and wide to fight in this battle. Some by their own volition, others by chance. If one were to win six fights in a row, they would be awarded Greece. A very...noble gesture for the Demon Queen.

The Wielder of Dark Chi simply raised his arms and shoulders into a shrug, directed at no one. He didn't care about gettin' Greece. Hell, why SHOULD he care? He was a psychotic murderer! He didn't have time to care about some shit like Greece. Good ol' comfy Karakura Central was enough for him. He just wanted someone to beat the shit out of! A nice beating, then a good round of torture....then death! A good routine that The Wielder of Dark Chi used quite often, especially when torturing someone in Karakura Central. His heart skyrocketed at the idea of torture! One of his favorite things to do!

With the maniac's right arm reaching towards his left side, brushing the blue jacket he wore on his shoulder away. This would reveal a katana with aqua blue wrappings around the hilt. His fingers would slowly grace the hilt, before they would wrap around it. Vanyel Xioyang's grin grew even more. His smile was now from ear to ear. He slowly rose his arm, which still held the katana's hilt. The blade withdrew from the sheath at his side delicately. The gleaming steel of the katana gleamed within the sunlight, making the afternoon sunlight shine off the blade, before the light would hover a single tree. With the heat of the sunlight reflecting off of the blade of his katana, the tree that the light had hovered over would slowly begin to burn. With each step Vanyel took within this forest, he would angle to blade differently.

Each time he re-angled his sword, it would not change where the sunlight was hitting, but rather, keeping it within a single spot. This would cause the tree he had the light focused on to burst into flames. The fire quickly engulfed the tree, incinerating it completely. As the ashes of the tree flew through the air, they would flow in a downward direction. That's right. Vanyel had almost forgotten. The area was upside down! This would be....much more interesting than his previous fights with others. As he continued his walk, he lowered his arm, allowing the sunlight to continue shining down on this strange arena.

Vanyel stopped his movement. He had found something. A sword impaled in the ground? Hm. Perhaps it was a part of the area? Or was it something that some careless moron had dropped? Oh well. It was his now. Vanyel slowly got down onto one knee, placing one arm on his left leg, and used his other to reach for this sword. The moment he picked it up, he knew one thing about this sword. It was strong. This sword most likely crafted by Queen Mana during the creation of this arena. There was no way a random sword like this would have simply dropped from the sky!

As his pale fingers wrapped around the strange sword's hilt, Vanyel easily pulled it from it's solitary place within the earth. As he brought it close for inspection, his face wrinkled into a face of disgust. This sword had dirt all over it's clean, beautiful steel blade! Everywhere upon the blade! From the base of it, all the way to the tip. Such an annoyance! Vanyel hated cleaning weapons. A necessary task to keep one's weapons at their prime, cleaning weapons was something that Vanyel absolutely dreaded. To him, this task simply wasted valuable time that could be spent killing! Vanyel's lungs and chest heaved for a moment to release a sigh.

So pointless...

Vanyel groaned in annoyance before he twisted his wrist, flipping the katana over. He would use his other hand to sheath his current weapon. His own katana. He wasn't about to clean one and get the other dirty! The hand-guard of the weapon made a small clacking sound as it collided with the gold lining around the sheath. The sound echoed through the forest he was in, but Vanyel would pay little regard to it. It's not like he was in danger yet, was he? The hand that recently sheathed his sword now floated over to his shirt, or rather, under it. By doing this, he could now clean his new weapon more easily.

His slowly slid the end of his shirt that covered his hand over the blade, sliding any loose dirt from the steel. A small portion of the dirtiness came off, but it still left a mildly large amount. Vanyel's teeth clenched and his grip on the blade through his shirt tightened. Annoying. That was what Vanyel felt of his current task. However, if he wanted to use this blade at all, he had to clean it. He grumbled under his breath, muttering how idiotic the task was. With the tighter grip of the cloth and blade, he slid the cloth over the area where the most dirt lie, then moved it back. The dirt was a little muddy, but a few more scrubs with his shirt quickly removed this.

Vanyel then began to repeat this process with the rest of the blade, and in short time, found himself done with it. Thank God. He rose from his kneeling position to a standing one, before slowly stretching his arms out, to which, a loud crack from not only his shoulders, but his back as well. The loosening of strain on his body felt amazing to Vanyel. It was one of the only feelings that would please him, aside from murder. His grin returned, now similar to that of a Cheshire Cat. An ear to ear grin was common for Vanyel. Especially when the situation was something he was interested in. The new blade now rested on his right shoulder, with the shining steel gleaming in the afternoon sunlight.

His opponent should be arriving sometime soon.....

Masaru VS Vanyel [The Colosseum Of Madness] Empty Re: Masaru VS Vanyel [The Colosseum Of Madness]

As soon as Masaru had arrived in the arena the first thing he did was activate his Necrom form. He then started to move quickly, his opponent was an apparent psychopath. He wouldn't loose his first match but it was possible after all. As he made his way through the forest quickly he perched in a tree and he noticed...that the world was literally upside down...he could use this to his advantage. He smirked under his helm and hung 'upside down' in the tree, the blood wouldn't rush to his head. He took a few deep breaths and started to focus, as three small Ganma eyecons formed he let them drop to the ground, one of them stayed in it's eyecon form and Masaru nodded to it and it flew off, the other two stayed guard with him, as they weren't living beings they didn't have any blood that would rush to their heads, he pointed to the blades that were nearby and one by one they picked them up, stock piling them and arming themselves with the blades.

The eyecon searched around the the forest constantly, it was way too small for anyone to see it, so the eyecon flew high into the air as it began it's search. It eventually found Vanyel and would proceed to follow him, keep an eye on him to ensure Masaru's opponent wouldn't be able to take Masaru by surprise. As Masaru hung from the tree he had his GanGunSaber prepared and in gun mode so that if he was to be spotted and suddenly charged at, he and the ganma would open fire. While the ganma had blades that easily were better than theirs a ranged attack would be the best thing to do first. He was going to show that he could be a master with tactics, and his goal was primarily to wear his opponent down and go in for the kill...literally if he had to. Masaru was not going to hesitate to end the life of a psychotic maniac. If his plan were to fail he'd simply run for it and then come up with another one, the eyecon that was spying on Vanyel was broadcasting what it was seeing to Masaru, he had his eyes on his target...now to try and build a small force to take him down as quickly as possible.

'Saa, omae no tsumi o...kazoero...' was the one thing that ran through Masaru's mind as he simply waited for Vanyel to hopefully walk into a trap later rather than sooner.

ENTER THE VESSEL OF MADNESS

Artist: Toby Fox - Song: Stronger Monsters - Word Count: 1225

Vanyel may have been one crazy mother fucker, who cared little to none about defense and strategy, but it didn't mean he didn't observe anything. His eyes slowly moved around, scanning the arena. With his eyes flashing red, his Jiaodan would activate. This would cause him to now be able to see much more than the normal human eye could. It could allow him to see an aura of energy around someone, see things that would normally be too fast for a normal human, and more. As he looked around he was scanning for one thing primarily. Spiritual energy. As he looked around, he found it. Masaru. His enemy. Or, as Vanyel liked to call it....his prey. He licked his lips with excitement as he now knew where his prey was. It was a good thing. It saved him the trouble of finding him.

Spoiler:

Vanyel grinned as he slowly slipping the second katana he now had onto a belt loop on the back of his pants. With the back of his pants now acting as a sheath, the blade of the katana dangled from the belt loop, twisting itself around as the katana hung there, keeping it firmly in place. With his new katana now securely upon his body, he now could have a possible advantage over this other human who he was facing. As the grin grew even wider, the muscles in his feet and legs would begin to tense, before he would leap up mere inches from the ground....and vanish.

His body re-materialized in a tree above him. Using his form of flash step, Buzhou, he used the energy of Sei and Dou to make his body move at a moment's worth of immensely high speed. Using Dou's energy to force him in the upwards direction, and the Sei energy silencing the high speed movement. By using this, it would seem at a first glace that Vanyel had simply vanished. Disappeared. Gone. However, he had merely moved to higher ground. Now he had the height advantage....didn't he? Everything was confusing in this upside down arena. However....this difference in the setting was a bit fun. It was a change to what Vanyel was used to in combat.

With this change, he knew that not only could he adapt to this, but also be able to understand it better than than Masaru. As his tongue slithered over his lips, his grin grew wider, revealing two sets of white, fang-like teeth that gleamed in the shadows of the forest. It was time to prime his attack, then strike. The kid would have no idea on what hit him! As Vanyel slowly removed the katana he had collected and cleaned earlier from his belt loop, now moving it in front of him in a basic kendo guard, and then gripped the sword with both hands. One overhead strike. That would be all he needed. But first....he had to get close.

Vanyel's feet would dig into the branch of the tree he was standing on. He slowly began gathering Dark Chi into the Qiqong of his feet, with the prime energy of this channeling being Dou energy. The violent, constantly moving energy began to build up pressure where his feet were. As it did, Vanyel drew his hands to his shoulder, placing the palm of his hand against the pommel of the sword, before the pressure under his feet reached the maximum. The energy he had stored within the Qiqong of his feet exploded, propelling him forward. However, with the addition of the Sei energy, this blast was completely silent.

This was not a separate skill of Vanyel's. This was simply him propelling himself through the air with his Dark Chi. As he did, he would sail over many, many trees, with the tips of his boots skimming across the leaves of these trees. With his new sword in hand, Vanyel slashed around him at the branches that threatened to harm him. The branched were sliced down in mere moments. As he continued to seemingly fly through the forest, he grew close to the ground. Sticking his feet out beneath him, Vanyel would dig his steel-lined combat boots into the ground, slowing his fast movement to a stop.

As this would happen, Vanyel would immediately recoil and launch himself in the reverse direction. Why? When he had essentially, launched himself like a rocket, he had intentionally launched himself past his opponent. As he did, it would give him time to prepare his attack. While he was launching himself towards his enemy, he would let go of the katana with his right hand, leaving his left hand to hold the steel blade. Doing this allowed him to charge a Yoh attack, which would begin by sparking a single sphere of black and energy upon his palm. As the sphere sparked and fizzed, Vanyel zoomed even closer to his opponent.

Vanyel reached his feet out again, skidding his feet against the brown dirt of the arena that would slow him down. He was now directly in front of Masaru. As he skidded to a stop, he would draw the blade of the katana he had collected earlier to his right shoulder immensely quick. As he did, the blade would begin to spark with black and crimson energy. He was covering the katana he now held with Chi. This katana would now be almost an extension of his own body. As the blade of the katana sparked and fizzed, he swung the blade. As the steel weapon left his shoulder, Vanyel would swing this blade in a wide arc around him.

As he did, he would extend the length of the Dark Chi covering the weapon to form an even larger blade on the katana. As he did, the blade would slice through the trees around him, causing them to fall...upwards? Oh, that's right. Everything was upside down. He had forgotten! Such a simple mistake. However, this was the first part of Vanyel's show of power. As he raised the arm that was left to charge the Yoh attack, the arm would raise to be near his face, with the energy sphere still sparking and fizzing, the dark crimson light would shine onto Vanyel's face, giving him a menacing look.

Spoiler:

His grin grew wider as the maniac slid his tongue over his lips once more, excited at the fight that was about to get started. The thoughts of how this fight would progress flowed through his mind like a river current. It was making him want to attack more and more. But, however, when his Yoh was charged, it would be stronger. Then would be the time to strike. It was only a matter of time. Vanyel grinned even more as his menacing glare seemed to stare daggers at Masaru. Not of anger, mind you, but of interest. The extended Chengtan-formed blade sooned retreated back to the blade, forcing the blade to return to it's normal size. The Dark Chi from before would now simply be a glowing black aura around the katana.

This katana would now be resting at his side, while the orb of energy would still be fizzing and sparking next to his face. This wouldn't harm him, oh no. It would simply make his appearance all the more sinister....and evil. Vanyel's lips and teeth parted, to simply say a single phrase.

"Hey kid. Ready to die?"

Masaru VS Vanyel [The Colosseum Of Madness] Empty Re: Masaru VS Vanyel [The Colosseum Of Madness]

Masaru only kept his focus, three more ganma eyecons forming and dropping to the ground. Three more troops to help him, as Vanyel suddenly blasted past him all 5 ganma opened fire on him, a small wall of energy projectiles flying at the man. As Masaru kept his focus the new ganma began to keep up with the other two that were formed. It was then that the ganma took a 5 man formation firing at Vanyel still. There was only one logical course of action. Build a small force as quickly as he could and then go for an all out offensive, continuing to hang from the tree he aimed for his target, firing rather inaccurately but still a threat to the man if he were hit. Masaru dropped to the ground, feeling the blood rush to his head, he had to move quickly now.

He pulled out the Musashi Eyecon and quickly changed his form, the japanese lute playing it's tune and the Uloader shouting out -THOUSAND CUTS- he set his saber into it's default mode and grabbed one of the masterly crafted blades. This had to end quickly, and he used his Air Dash technique to boost his speed. As Vanyel stopped in front of him...there was one thing he didn't realize...Masaru has a blade stabbed into the ground his reiatsu flowing through it and a glyph forming underneath Vanyel. Chains shot from it, attempting to bind him in place, meanshile the Ganma continued shooting at him, the one that was following Vanyel took its humanoid form and began to fire as well, then took the initiative and began attempting to stab at Vanyels vitals while the others began to spread out as they fired at him.

Masaru gave a single hand motion and the ganma all fell back, still firing at Vanyel, the assault of projectiles would be hard to dodge as Vanyel had to deal with binding chains and six different sources of projectiles, and they were moving away from him. Masaru tossed his weapons into the air and formed a lance and threw it at his opponent, attempting to pierce through Vanyels head and strike the glyph. Regardless if it hit Vanyel or not it struck the glyph and the glyph glowed brightly and a large beam shot into the air, attempting to take Vanyel's very flesh from his bones, Masaru wasn't going to take part in banter. As the beam most likely held Vanyel in place longer he activated the Uloader again.

-DESTROY- pressing the dropper, an energy droplet fell onto the eyecons eye initiating the Omega Uload -DAI TENGAN, MUSASHI, OMEGA ULOAD- As red energy flowed from the Uloader to both blades, with the GanGunSaber in it's default mode it had more power to it so this was going to hurt a lot. As the beam was still going, Masaru charged, ganma still firing, the beam was dismissed, the red energy flaring along his blades as he got in close to Vanyel at the very last second as the beam ended and a flurry of powerful slashes aimed at Vanyels torso, arms, legs and head were unleashed on the man. The Ganma were still firing too so as Masaru finished his attacks, he quickly retreated and let the ganma firing keep Vanyel preocupied if he was still standing. As he retreated he ordered the Ganma to gather the best they could and continue firing at him.

Masaru was going to win this even if he had to completely destroy Vanyels soul. There was a very sadistic satisfaction to this and Masaru remained ready to see Vanyel rise and it was then he'd try to end it with many more sword swings. The ganma were taking their formation and continuing their assault. Masaru started throwing bolts, not a lot at once but one every few barrages the ganma shot, the bolts exploding as they hit something, anything. The boy was determined to defeat this man, that's all he needed.

ENTER THE VESSEL OF MADNESS

Artist: RWBY OST - Song: This Will Be The Day - Word Count: 1,152

Vanyel only had a look of "dafuq" on his face when he heard something as he had passed but his opponent. Small bolts of electricity were flying towards him, singing his jacket and skin. Black burn marks darkened his skin as the bolts made contact with the pale substance that was Vanyel's skin. As he landed in front of the man, he responded immediately. A glyph appeared underneath his feet, and chains shot out from it, attempting to bind him. Heh. Nice try. Vanyel drew his arms to his shoulders, forming an X across his chest with his arms, while closing his eyes.

An aura of black would surround Vanyel as the chains would begin to coil around Vanyel's body. The grin that Vanyel wore soon grew larger as he slowly began to giggle. Small, insane giggles. However, they soon grew larger. Full scale laughter soon came from those small giggles. The aura of black that surrounded his body soon exploded outwards. This aura now formed into what seemed to be a much more violent one. With black flowing around Vanyel, the back of his jacket was flying rapidly within this aura. This aura had a separate wind current within it. This aura would repel all that came into contact with him.

The chains that were wrapping around his body were blown back, shattering into small fragments of what the links of chain once were. The shots that were being fired at him were quickly repelled as they continued firing at him. Vanyel's previously closed eyes would open, revealing his ocean blue eyes to now be a deep shade of crimson red. His tongue would slowly slip out of his mouth and slide over his lips. The Wielder of Dark Chi was excited. He was excited to fight this person. Excited to beat them down and make them BLEED. Vanyel's grin grew wider as he thought about this. However, they were soon interrupted by the sight of his enemy throwing a massive spear at his head.

Oh dear. That could be a problem....if his arms were bound. But they weren't. Vanyel's now crimson eyes flashed with playfulness as his hand shot forward, snatching the spear that was aimed at his head midair, then ran his tongue over his teeth once more. Such a nice weapon....sharp....deadly....and perfect for killing. His fingers slowly twirled the weapon around in circles, before he would stop it, and grab the shaft of the weapon. Drawing the arm that held the weapon back, and pointing his other arm in an arrow form, which was pointing towards Masaru, Vanyel would hurl the spear towards Masaru.

He didn't care if it hit or not. All he cared about was getting one of his problems out of the way, and then getting his own attacks in. With the spear out of the way, his feet would slip out from under him, and he would break into a run. However, what he hadn't realized, is that he had accidentally avoided a beam that shot towards the sky. Oh. Well then. Vanyel shrugged as he turned around to see this, and was soon realizing that turning was a big mistake. Shots were fired at him towards his back.

Constant firing. That is what this person was aiming for. Vanyel grunted in pain as the annoying bolts hit him over and over. Making several black burn marks on Vanyel's skin, these blasts were quite the annoyance. However, Masaru had done something that Vanyel was quite surprised with. Charging head on. What a fool. Vanyel quickly whipped his sword forward in a single, thrusting attack. But with the constant barrage of blasts from the items that Masaru had placed down, Vanyel's aim was off, and it missed.

However, this did not stop him from pulling his blade back. His arm lurched back towards his body, with his other arm reaching out and grabbing the sword with his other hand and moving his arms to put his sword in a guard position. With Masaru moving towards him, slashing rapidly. Blocking most of the attacks to his legs and torso, Vanyel's arms suffered heavily from the onslaught of attacks. His skin burst open in small cuts in places, squirting out small bits of the crimson liquid that all humans contained.

Blood. For the first time in a long while....someone had caused HIM to bleed. Vanyel's grin increased as Masaru moved backwards, he followed. His voice was loud and filled with authority, as expected of a twenty-three year old man. Vanyel was impressed with Masaru's performance so far. With The Wielder of Dark Chi activating Awakening so quickly in the fight, this means that this fight would most certainly be fun.

"HAHAHAH! You show potential, KID! NOW C'MON! SHOW ME MORE!"

With Vanyel's grin increasing even more from the excitement that he was feeling from this fight, his heart rate was increasing. The adrenaline that pumped through his veins gave him the high he wanted. He wanted more. More blood. More fighting. More....more MORE POWER! Everything he ever wanted, he wanted it more than ever. His sword swung downwards, with Vanyel using one arm to swing. As he did, the tip of his sword would slam into the ground, and Vanyel would spin clockwise once, aiming to kick Masaru in the upper sections of his body.

With this, he would twist himself to that he would be able to make his next moves. Wedging his sword free, Vanyel would grip tight on his sword before swinging it to the right, aiming for a hit on his neck or left arm. After this, Vanyel would land on the ground, on both feet, then leap forward once again. Charging an orb of Dark Chi within his right hand, Vanyel would bring his right arm back, leaving the hand with the orb in it next to his face. This orb of Dark Chi was pure black, with electricity sparking and fizzing from it.

As Vanyel drew closer, he would thrust his hand forward, causing the ball on his hand to fizz and spark more than ever, before the Chi orb would wrap around the area where he had stopped in front of. If this orb were to wrap around Masaru, his entire body would be greeted with immense pain. This orb was a different kind of the way he would cast the Chi skill Yoh. Instead of firing it immediately after charging it, he held it within his hand, changing how the blast was shaped. Instead of a straight beam, it would take the form of a sphere.

Vanyel would then use Xin Yue Buzhou, the Chi Human's form of Flash Step, to quickly step back. It was time for this human to impress him even more and retaliate. He had better not hold back. If there was one thing that pissed him off, it was little pussies holdin' back. Just fight at full strength and ATTACK.

But, then again, that was Vanyel's preference.

Masaru VS Vanyel [The Colosseum Of Madness] Empty Re: Masaru VS Vanyel [The Colosseum Of Madness]

The fact he was able to shrug off his attacks was a bit worrying, but none the less, he made him bleed. Focusing further for a moment he would build his forces further and three more Ganma eyecons appeared and flew away, forming their humanoid forms with the others. The Ganma gathered to try and flank Vanyel, Masaru was a rather trickery person. As he took to a defensive stance attempting to keep Vanyel busy by parrying his attacks with both blades, keeping the slashes as far from hitting him as possible, a slash would find itself narrowly cutting into his arm, a mere scratch. As the kick came towards him he stabbed his blades into the ground and took his usual jeet kune do stance and as the kick came for him he crossed his arms, wrists joined as he blocked the kick then quickly stepped in and gripped Vanyels leg and reiatsu covered his hands and Masaru forced his hand in a karate chop to Vanyels leg, while Masaru was strong with his current knowledge of using reiatsu to enhance his melee the effects could be bone breaking. As he chopped into Vanyels leg he released him and the orb was rather useless as Masaru activated a second Omega Uload and sliced the orb to deflect it.

The nine Ganma that were formed were all still firing at Vanyel, Masaru was armed with his wit and an urge...not to kill for the sake of killing. But an urge to protect Earth so strong that his intentions for Greece if he won this tournament was to simply hand it over to the Vanguard. Masaru's only interest in Greece was its culture, its science, history, so much rich information that he wanted. The potential Eyecons that he could create here, he had sensed several different potential Eyecons in a small town alone. But he had to focus on the fight, Vanyel was pleased with Masaru's performance so far, this could be used...a sudden sense of disappointment might confuse Vanyel...only for Masaru to come back and destroy his opponent.

As Masaru gathered some energy he took a deep breath and he formed another lance and threw it straight at Vanyel again, this combo that Masaru had invented...it could be activated in more than one way. As the spear drew closer to Vayel, Masaru followed after it. He was aiming to trick Vaynel into catching it again. As he got closer, he pulled his blades from the ground and focused his reiyouko into them, aiming to slash like a whirlwind at Vanyel, his blade slicing into the ground. A glyph formed under Vanyel again, this time a bit in front of him, the chains shooting up to bind him again. Due to the distance Vayel might be too close to escape this time.

Vanyel was no stranger to enhanced attacks. However, this one was...odd. Using spiritual energy to enhance his attacks instead of Chi. Did this one not contain Chi? Hm. Vanyel grinned as the attack to his leg simply made hundreds of cracks within his Xinfeng shield. His "barrier" of Chi covering his entire body flashed black as the barrier was hit with such major damage. Without that barrier, his leg would most likely had been broken. As Vanyel quick broke off to make some distance between himself and Masaru, his eyes diverted to his leg. His grin grew wider. What other tricks did this human have?

Questions for later. However, these questions most likely would not be answered. Vanyel was getting very bored with this fight. It was very boring and stale already. It sickened him to continue this fight. The grin that Vanyel had soon faded, and moved into a frown. A sigh left him as the raging aura of Awakening continued to flow wildly around him. The maniac's eyes diverted to the ground, and his eyes slowly gazed up, revealed the two crimson orbs in his head. Vanyel slowly raised his arms, his shoulders lifting to form a shrug.

"Well. I'm bored wit' ya. Thought ya'd be more interestin'. Welp. Ya arent'. Thou art boring as FUCK."

As he said this, he would slowly grin, The sword that resided in his left hand would then start to move upwards with the blade pointing towards the ground. As the blade slid into his sheath, Vanyel would then move the dagger he held in his other hand toward the leather sheath at his side, re-fastening the smaller weapon to his shoulder. Vanyel took a deep breath, before exhaling. As his chest heaved, the small, loose metal objects and trinkets on his jacket would jingle. Twisting his head to the right and left, a crack could be heard from the neck of Vanyel.

Moving one of his hands to his shoulder and gripping tight on it, Vanyel would then start to roll his shoulder. Multiple cracking noises came from him as the shoulder was rolled. Performing the same action with his other shoulder, his promptly ignored the tiny bolts that were being fired at him by the small things that Masaru had seemed to create from nothing. How dumb. Hiding behind his little toys. Another sigh left him as he shrugged once more. The bolts that hit him really didn't hurt anymore.

Spreading his legs a small portion, and spreading his arms out in a sumo stance, Vanyel grinned more and rolled his neck. Slowly placing one foot forward and turning his body by the slightest, Vanyel took a new combat stance. The snake-like tongue of the human slid out his mouth, slithering over his lips like a lion admiring his prey from the bushes. Putting pressure into the front of his foot, Vanyel slowly crouched down, before his eyes would glow blue. Jiaodian activating. As they glowed briefly, his eyes would close.

"....It's time to finish this."

As his eyes closed, something would happen. Three small black circles would appear in three different places. Two would appear on each side of Vanyel's body. While one would appear underneath Masaru's feet. As these black circles formed, black chains would slowly begin to crawl out. Chains that would grow spikes around to 3-4 inches. The two circles around Vanyel would create chains that would coil and slither around him, with spikes protruding from them. However, Vanyel was perfectly safe.

The circle at Masaru's feet would cause non-spiked chains to slowly slither out from the black void they came from. The black links made of Chi would slowly coil and tighten around his body. These chains were meant to bind him in place. As this was happening, the chains circling Vanyel would retract their spikes, before dissolving. The black substance the chains had turned into would slowly travel over to where Masaru was standing. However, the person apparently still intended for the fight to last, since they decided to throw another spear at him. Vanyel simply sighed as this happened. Opening his eyes, revealing them to be a light blue, he could see it.

The speed of the spear. What it was made of. Time wasn't slowing down, but instead, Vanyel was seeing the spear more clearly. Every little speck of energy that was formed on this spear was as clear as day to see with Vanyel's current eyes. Vanyel slid his tongue over his teeth, before leaping forward at immense speeds. The black substance that the chains had turned to surged to stay by Vanyel's side. Zooming past the spear, Vanyel's only intentions were to get close. With his immense speed in Awakening, it shouldn't have been a problem.

Speeding close to Masaru, with no mercy, Vanyel thrust his arms and legs out to perform an astonishing amount of highly powerful blows to Masaru's legs. This would most likely weaken his legs. This was due to the martial arts that Vanyel was using. The Tolling Bell Kick focused on high speed, and highly powerful kicks to dizzy an opponent and knock them off balance. With so many attacks being executed, Masaru would most likely have a hard time blocking them, or recovering from them.

Without stopping his assault, the black substance around Vanyel would surge forward, forming black chains once more. These chains were equal to Vanyel in strength. As they formed, they would wrap and they would wrap around him TIGHT. As the ends of the chains would implant themselves into the ground, hoping to bind him in place, the next thing Vanyel would do is break off his attack to quickly reach into his jacket, pulling out four small kunai-like weapons. With these he would throw them at Masaru's hands and feet. If these penetrated him, he would be hurled to the ground and pinned.

With all of these methods of pinning him down, Vanyel knew that at least one of the had to work. After this, Vanyel would crouch down, placing a single hand on the ground, and a blue transmutation circle would slowly form around Masaru. This circle would extend to half a mile long. As this formed, Vanyel would only have to say the incantation of this Chi Ritual. His lips parted to speak.

"Dragon King of The Eastern Seas! Fuel me with your hatred for the Third Lotus Prince! Allow me control over the water so that I may strike down with LIGHTNING AND THUNDER!!"

As this was said, a single kanji letter would appear in the middle of the circle that had formed, directly underneath where Masaru would be. Denko. The kanji symbol for lightning. As the symbol formed itself, black clouds would form above Masaru. Stratus clouds. A storm was coming. These clouds would darken any light within the circle. The clouds would flash and spark with lightning. Vanyel grinned as his Awakening aura powered on strong. A small patch of lightning in the center of the clouds would glow blue, and a single, but immensely powerful bolt of lightning would come crashing down with immense force.

The mere impact of the volt against the ground of the stage would caused the entire area to rumble. As this bolt would make contact with the stage, hundreds of lightning bolts would shoot outwards, racing towards the limit of the Chi Ritual's radius. As the bolts raced towards the end of the range of the ritual, the single bolt of lightning that had began this chain of events would continue to rain down thunder hell upon the center of the field. The bolt in the center was the one that was causing so many bolts of lightning to rush off.

With the bolts racing to reach the end of the chi ritual circle, they would pick up speed and eventually reach the end. However, rather than continue to rage outwards to the rest of the arena, then would curve back, and race back towards the center. As they did, it would cause a minor amount of increased pain. However, the ritual would then slowly fade from view, with the bolts of lightning retreating back into the sky, before vanishing. However, this entire ordeal would most likely be twice as painful and devastating, due to Vanyel being in Awakening.

With this done, Vanyel would then stand as his ritual faded away. The forced, heaved breaths of Vanyel were loud. He had used the rest of his Chi to cast that. There was no possible way he could get out unscathed. With a half mile radius and at least three different binding methods used to get him in the right position, he should not have been able to escape. Hell, even a demon as durable as Fjell wasn't able to get out of it unscathed. Vanyel would look at the smoke that had filled the arena due to his ritual. Turning around silently, he would begin to walk away.

However, he stopped. Turning back around, he would stare at the smoke, before drawing the sword from his back belt loop. The sword he didn't even get to use. Looking at the clean steel blade, Vanyel would turn the weapon over so that the blade was facing the ground. Thrusting his arm down, he would firmly implant the sword into the ground. Looking at the smoke once again, Vanyel would say these parting words.

"Well, kid. You showed spirit. You had more bravery than almost anyone else I met. Get stronger kid. You show potential."

With that, Vanyel would then turn around, walking away. It was over. Time for round two.

[OOC Note: With a ritual of this power being used, Masaru would not be dead. If anything, he would be knocked unconscious. Vanyel is giving him a chance to live. Both fighters would be in need of rest after this fight. Neither combatant would be in any shape to fight after Vanyel using this.]

Masaru VS Vanyel [The Colosseum Of Madness] Empty Re: Masaru VS Vanyel [The Colosseum Of Madness]

The sudden burst of speed, the sudden and hard hitting assault that followed it. It was something to admire but with a quick motion he had the Ganma retreat, all of them. As they did so they dropped the blades they picked to ensure they could move faster. He was certain it was going to end with this assault, grunts escaping him, his endurance was enhanced but at this rate he'd start feeling quite a bit of pain shoot through his body. As the Tolling Bell kick came a shield formed infront of Masaru, blocking the blow but causing the shield to shatter, the blow was softened enough to only induce some pain over dulling his senses. Then the chains came, binding him in place. Everything seemed hopeless but as the ganma were retreating...he concentrated a moment, dissolving and the ganma taking his place. The Kunai dug into the ganma but one of them was lodged in Masaru's arm. The ganma then looked to him, nodding as it understood its purpose seemed to be to die today. With that Masaru and the remaining 8 Ganma ran for it, as the clouds began to gather he started to go faster. He didn't like what was likely coming and seemed the best option was to head away from the clouds as best he could.

As he ran he swapped himself with another ganma, increasing his distance again. He started to push himself a bit, but not too much. He knew his limits, he could reach rather high speeds and this was a mere jog speed he had now, as reiatsu formed under his feet he started to skate along the air going faster now, grabbing a ganma and throwing them causing it to take initiative and turn into it's eyecon state the other ganma did the same and sped away as fast as they could. Masaru followed them as fast as he could, replacing himself with one again to further himself away from Vanyel again. Grabbing an eyecon and throwing it ahead gave it some speed and another substitution was made. Masaru has gained a considerable amount of distance from Vanyel and to conserve his energy he timed his substitutions while not running full speed.

The boy was determined to win but large scale attacks were a problem no matter how powerful you were. He then started to push himself, one last substitution and he was starting to dwindle a bit. As he he saw how far he was getting and the clouds starting to grow incredibly restless he then decided...go for it. He then started to run as fast as he can, gaining more and more momentum with each step his ganma starting to fall behind him, they were doomed...or were they, the few that were close enough were grabbed by Masaru in their eyecon form and pocketed away so if anything...he had reinforcements. He soon hit Mach 1 speed, but as he did the attack finally hit the ground, blasting Masaru down as it did leave a mark on him, 4 ganma were gone...but 5 were safe and well. The burns down his back were proof of the attack hitting, and the bruise from him hitting the ground was proof of the attacks sheer force, as he hit the ground...he played dead a bit, one eyecon peering at him. Masaru then pushed himself up, absorbing it and his burns healing and his necrom form reforming. He took a moment to concentrate and with that three more eyecons were created, he was back to 7 ganma in total. With Vanyel so sure he had won...it was time to strike him right in thee back, even if it meant killing the rather psychotic individual, Masaru could respect Vanyel if he wasn't insane, if he was a good man...but good was not the word for Vanyel. The Ganma all pointed their weapons at Vanyel, Masaru pressed the button on the Uloader, activating the Omeag Uload again. Rushing forward his blades glowed with red as his gangunsaber was in one hand and another blade was picked up in the other, he then reinforced the attack with his own, making this attack enough to be extremely powerful with one slash let alone two.

The cocky man had his fate sealed, with no way to hear Masaru's foot steps he moved as fast as he could, just below the sound barrier...and as he drew close he started to slash at Vanyel's back. He was starting to grow weary but he'd walk away from this the victor. His blades would be enough to cut through even the most resistant substances be they energy, solid or otherwise. The blades would begin to dig into Vanyels flesh, flawlessly, any defenses he had wouldn't be that effective as Masaru's swings were at full speed and power the mere force from these swings only increased with the Musashi Eyecon active, the power of the legendary swordsman was proving that it was powerful. As Masaru's assault drew near it's end, it was suddenly drawn to Vanyel's legs and arms, then back to his body then...his head.

Vanyel was not expecting the kid to be this persistent. After somehow getting out of his most powerful attack, as well as everything he had done, this kid still intended on winning. Vanyel could respect their willpower. However, he was bullheaded. That arrogance would get him killed. However, he would not die here, sadly. As much as Vanyel wanted to, he would not kill this one. Instead, he would end this now. His Chi Ritual, Ao Kuang's Hatred, was meant to end this. Oh well. Time to do this a different way.

As Vanyel stopped moving, he didn't feel the same. He felt...surprisingly calm. No longer feeling like he wanted to kill everything. He simply felt...blank. Turning around and withdrawing his sword from the sheath and holding it firmly at his side, Vanyel simply waited. He couldn't hear him, but he could sense him approaching at abnormal speed. Knowing this, Vanyel quickly sheathed his sword and instead, drew his dagger. Flipping the dagger so that the blade faced his elbow, Vanyel slowly slid into a strange stance. Pulling his arm back, Vanyel would slide his left foot back, and his right forward.

The kid was about to run right into him. As he drew closer, Vanyel could see that he was using something. Boosting his speed? A weapon? Whichever, the best thing to do with the last of his Chi at the moment was to get away. Masaru soon reached him, and the first strike hit home. However, the moment it did, Vanyel's body vanished. Reappearing behind him, before any time to strike, a dagger would be placed on the back of Masaru's neck, with the tip just barely piercing the skin of Masaru. Vanyel sighed and adjusted the grip of his dagger, now holding it where he could point his index finger at his head while pointing the dagger at his neck.

"Don't say anything. Just shut up and listen. Make one move to try and attack, and I will either use the last sparks of my energy to fire a point-blank range Yoh at your head. If that doesn't kill you, I will cut you into separate pieces and burn them."

Bowing his head and sighing once again, Vanyel stared at the back of Masaru's head. Shaking his head at his foolish bullheadedness, Vanyel slowly removed the dagger from his neck, before twisting it once again to now be backwards, and thrusting the pommel of his dagger into Masaru's back. That pommel was steel. That had to hurt. As he would allow Masaru to fall, Vanyel would stare down the young human. His ocean blue eyes would stare at the form of the young man. As they narrowed, Vanyel would step over Masaru, before turning his head over his shoulder.

"You have spirit kid. Now LISTEN to what someone older than you tells you. Go. Back. Home. Live to see another day."

Moving his dagger to his shoulder and refastening the blade to it's proper sheath, Vanyel would stop moving, before looking back at Masaru. If he hadn't gotten up by now, Vanyel would be amazed. However, why should he care? It was over now for sure. But just to make sure....

Vanyel zipped back over to Masaru's form, a sick grin forming on his face. Staring down at him, with a veil of darkness forming where his hair and eyes would be, his two ocean blue eyes gleamed out from the darkness. The pink tongue of his slithered out of his mouth and over his lips, before tossing the young man a short distance in the air, and reeled his fist back.

As Masaru's body would fall, Vanyel would swing his fist at Masaru, sending the last bit of his strength in the form of a punch. However, with the last but of his Chi, he would Awaken for just a single moment. The moment the punch hit, Vanyel's Awakening would activate, enhancing that punch. If this worked, Masaru would be sent flying into a large group of trees that would break and snap upon impact. With this done, Vanyel's normal quiet breathing would be loud, breathless pants.

It was done.

Vanyel slowly turned around, and resumed walking. It was over. He was sure of it this time. He was exhausted. He would definitely need to fall onto a bed and sleep for a good week. However, he wouldn't have all that time. He may be able to get a little bit of sleep and get some of his Chi regenerated, however, what he needed the most right now was SLEEP. Walking away stumbling, Vanyel fell to his hands and knees, feeling lightheaded. Oh boy. He really pushed himself at that point. However, it was all worth it.

Time for Round 2.
