War had come again. Not even a year had passed, and already the Vanguard was met by another tradgedy since the war of Iceland. There wasn't much time to rest in these times of chaos, the recent festival acting as a short pause for the madness that once again consumed the world. The ripples of destruction spread from sector to sector, thousands of soldiers passing from life to death by the minute. It seemed not even the moon a midst the stars was safe anymore..But in the veil of darkness, there was one positive thing to look at.
He was actually there to do something this time!
And who was he? A no body as far as most were concerned. Even in the ranks of the Vanguard he was an unknown, his position and power far from public knowledge. The man never cared for fancy titles or anything like that though. He was here to do what he always did; to follow his sense of justice and beat down every abomination of creation that would stand in his way from doing such! That man was Dellapero Grance, a swordsman spawned from another tim,e and cast into this future of bloodshed and malice. Adorned with a thick attire, twin scarves at his back, twin blades at his sides, and a relic of a firearm well past its prime, the Vanguard Operative was ready to play his part in bringing this demonic incursion to a swift end by any means necessary!
Surrounding him were legions of soldiers, many that hadn't been ready for an invasion of this caliber in the slightest. He couldn't put a finger on it either. Why the moon? Wasn't Karakura one of their main targets? This place was much more confined than the Earth. Space was ironically finite and a conflict of so many powers would have much more drastic effects on a battlefield like this. There wasn't much to do at this point but try to prevent as many casualties as possible though. The Human stood up, turning his eyes to the entrance of the sector. He could feel it..They would be coming soon...Very soon..
Right now in fact! An explosion of smoke and flames rippled outward from the entrance. The doors had been blown apart, multiple battalions of foot soldiers and Hollows marching forward in a mass of destruction. He couldn't feel anyone especially powerful a midst the first wave, but they would come soon enough. Even so, he wasn't about to just let the soldiers handle this fodder on their own. He needed a warm up anyway! The swordsman cracked his knuckles, taking a stance and rolling his shoulders in preparation for the oncoming hoard. Despite all of his weapons, he wouldn't be using them yet! Instead, he'd be taking on as many of the invaders as he could bare handed.
Moments before the wave of abominations reached the front line of the sectors defense, Dellapero kicked off the ground in a burst of speed and placed himself directly in the middle of the chaos! His arm reeled back, hands tightening into crushing fists for the first creature he stepped up toward. Sparks of green electricity began to crackle around his body, signalling that he was more than ready to brawl with anything set before him! A devastating punch was delivered forward, using both strength and the cumbersome weight that encompassed the warrior to create a force unlike any other! The first demon in his path was knocked clean off their feet with a small shock wave of force. They were knocked back into several other of their unit, the force of that strike not just knocking out the first foe ahead, but everything they were knocked into as a result!
The battle was on! The front lines of both sides met in an explosion of force. The soldiers of the Vanguard met their shadowfall adversaries blade to claw, each of them ready to kill one another at a moment's notice. The blood lust of the underworld was clearly apparent, the swarm entering the sector was without end. It wouldn't be too long before the Vanguard was even outnumbered. Their forces were thin from the previous war, but that did little to bring down Grance's morale!
"I guess you'll all have to do until a proper opponent shows up!"
As much as he despised war annd death, it was an inevitability that couldn't be prevented. The only thing to do was look on any light there was to be found and grasp it. He would become stronger from this chaos and do the best his ever growing might could to bring this war too an end! The soldier charged forward right into the middle of the oncoming hoard! He lashed out without pause, striking down multiple demons and hollows with each bone-shattering punch, every sweeping kick, and every neck-breaking lariat! He tried to avoid killing them if he could, but he wasn't going to restrain himself and put the other's lives in further danger. Throughout his rampage through the invading force, spears, gunfire and claws ripped through his attire and flesh. He was far from without injury with such reckless abandon in his attack, but none of it was major. Every minor wound that graced him began to quickly dissipate, leaving only marks in his clothing.
Once the remainder of Shadowfall's lesser forces entered the area, he took a moment to gather himself and focus his power. Despite appearing weak, he had been dealing with line after line of soldiers without much issue. With so many of them now surrounding him though, would their numbers overcome the man's tenacious spirit!?
Not in the slightest!
Green spiritual energy began to resonate from his body as he raised his fist into the air! Dellapero pushed his body to its current limits and then some, stressing as much power as he could conjure with his restraints in place. A thin veil of green power encased his body, his strength and speed temporarily rising to new heights! Dozens of soldiers swarmed him at once, his attack through the heart of the invading line having gathered more than a little attention. Just as their attacks drew near, the swordsman cast his fist to the ground and struck it with all of his might! An explosion of kinetic energy rippled outward from the point of impact. It didn't just take out the force attacking him, but brought down a large chunk of Shadowfall's battalion! Those closest to him even met an unintentional demise, their limbs ripped from their body, snapped necks and crushed ribs from the force of the wave.
Grance sighed, now standing in a desolate gap in the invading armies force. hand full of corpses rested around him and many more were knocked unconscious. Though he hadn't destroyed the entire army, they were vastly weakened from his assault. The bulk of the Vanguard's army took advantage of this, pushing back the enemy lines and taking the edge! Where they were once helplessly outnumbered, the odds were now much more in their favor. The swordsman took a moment to breath, looking ahead for anything stronger than the common fodder. Traces of green energy continued to flow around him, but drastically reduced from his feat of strength just moments ago.
" There...They should be able to handle things..Now I can try to find a real challenge out here!"
The Unknown man walked forward, keeping his senses honed. As individual soldiers continued to approach him, he quickly did away with them using only single strikes A jab here, a kick there, it was clear he wasn't even remotely on the same caliber as an ordinary soldier. Maybe the opponent he was waiting for would see that as well and come to him on their own volition! Then he could deal with them himself before they had the chance to decimate the small forces of the vanguard that defended this place.

War on the moon sounds very dramatic, isn't it? Out of hundreds, thousands of places to wage a war against the defenders of Earth, they chose to hold this fight in space. It would be misleading to some that aliens from some other planet that decided to invade their 'Mother Earth'. Well, that case would not be a concern for her. Although conditions have changed in the Monsuta, their priorities of strengthening their forces and expanding their territory, especially to the moon would prove to be a great asset to their arsenal if Shadowfall were to succeed into wiping out the Vanguard's moon base once and for all since they are proven quite an annoyance to have left a bitter taste prior to Australia War.
A bizarre lump of energy begin to form above the sector, gooey and almost inconceivable by appearance, a ghostly white surface that clumps together by volumes and seconds later, those lumps alone would form a physical body of a young girl. A crossbow almost 3/4th of her body size, crimson red hair and clothing that hails nothing but simplicity, that girl would be Zwei Yuki. Or as you may call, the Imperfect God. One should not be fooled by her appearance alone as it spells death behind the life of a being that lived from centuries that embarked on a journey of immortality. Her entrance was, from a third-person view, not that significant to begin with. The entirety of Sector N would be swept with a pressure equivalent to that of a captain's, making her a type that most would brush off and treat as any other average captain. But attention isn't what Zwei was looking for in the first place.
Her sight was locked onto an individual that was far stronger than any other in the battlefield, without caring less of any other forces of Shadowfall that was wiped out. Allies? Enemies? In her existence, she doesn't have the time to categorize these two things in a fight. Not to mention, she didn't even bother defending or even save any surviving soldiers from that man, leaving them to rot and die. While they were busy fending off the invading soldiers, Zwei began her little intrusion to their 'winning' play.
The same lump of ghostly white energy that formed her would once again appear at the tip of her finger, compressing itself into the size of a marble in a shape of a sphere. Slowly, its trail of ghostly white energy would halt and turn into a blue glow that covers across the surface of the sphere. By modifying the properties of the energy akin to that of an electron that is both a particle and a wave and alter it to an ambiguous state where it would not be able to react either as a particle or a wave when striking an object due to their ambiguous state, she would be able to turn electrons into a seemingly solid objects despite possessing mass close to zero due to the 'halted' state it is in. This, in turn, would allow Zwei to create a highly destructive beam of high-speed electrons. Built right out of her own element, she would be able to amp out its destructive prowess as well if she is willing to do so.
From her left to right of Sector N, Zwei would fire the beam at the velocity equal to the speed of sound with a quick whiz across the sector, creating enough destruction that would cleanly split through the ground beneath the sector and cause an explosive eruption of moon rocks and dusts that would further destroy Sector N, while burning through most of the structure that the beam hit. Whether shall it be Vanguard soldiers or even Shadowfall soldiers, anything that is not herself would be split apart by the prowess of the beam itself, with enough destructive power that could even make diamonds look like butter and powerful barriers look like a bunch of toys. All of that done with a smile of her face. Without barriers that are as strong as that of a #90's, it would be a tough job to deal with the destructive force of an electron beam. That is 'Dark Matter', not to be mistaken with 'matter that has not been discovered by humans' but 'matter that does not exist until it is created by Zwei herself', a unique power that has 100,000 different types of energies, feats like these are nothing but a child's play to her.
Once she was done with her little work, Zwei proceeded to cross her arms while still standing above the sector, looking down beneath to savor the amount of destruction and death of the many soldiers she brought upon from a beam alone. For many, this kind of destruction would be exhausting but for Zwei, this is nothing else but a warm-up and barely even flinched her. From hundreds to thousands of what she has done, one can say that this was just the start of her little destruction. Now then, let's see how will the protagonist of that man handle this distress filled with death?

"Enough is enough!"
The words rung through sector N as the beam flew from the newcomer. However, within a moment an individual appeared in its path, appearing out of thin air. No means of travel had been noticeable, no portal, no high speed movement, she just suddenly existed. Pink hair whipping around the small female's form, a delicate hand raised itself in to the beams path, purple energy coursing along its surface. An aura of energy coalesced around her, the picturesque look of the grim reaper floating around the unimposing creature before them. Then, as the energy beam slammed home in to her palm, something unexpected would happen. The beam would stop, her fingers curling around it as she grabbed on to the energy. However, instead of simply fighting against her, the energy coalesced in to a ball within her hand. Growling as the final bits of energy settled in to her palm, she then wound her hand back, and with the quick whipping motion, the intruder's own attack was sent right back at them.
"I have had enough of sitting by as conflict after conflict ravages this realm... NO MORE! I don't care who you are, what faction you belong to, what has happened in the past, this ends NOW! Now, either stop this foolish assault upon this place, OR FACE YOUR END!"
With those words spoken, arcs of electrical energy surged around the four foot eight, pink haired cat person as she prepared for the coming fight. She was under no illusion that the individual would simply leave from her words alone, and so she was preparing for the inevitable conflict. Seriously, why couldn't these individuals understand the meaning of peaceful coexistence. Thus, Rachel Inverse Dare, the gate of dreams, prepared for the clash that was to come.

The adversary Dellapero was waiting for finally made their debut, but they were hardly what he expected to see. A spiritual energy far from weak, but not as terrifying powerful as he was hoping dawned across the area. An unseen white mass gathered together, forging from the void the figure of what appeared to be a lone child equipped with a giant crossbow. They appeared non-threatening, but he knew better. Not just from their spiritual energy, but more from the nature they gave off. He could feel the killer intent that resonated from their being. The darkness that forged their soul and the destruction they intended to unleash upon the battle field. Things were about to get real.
The Unknown reached for his own weapons as soon as he picked up on that vile presence they carried themselves with. His dominant hand unsheathed one of his twin swords, The other reached behind his back and removed the restraints from his fire arm. It appeared like an ordinary shotgun from the period of the second great war, but upon any attention, a dense coating of spiritual energy gave away its actual merit. In truth, all of the man's weapons were originally mundane instruments. Over time fighting in sync with his ever growing power though, they evolved just like he did. Each blade was like a zanpakto linked to his soul, the steel that forged them reinforced millions of times over to a level where few things could contend with their quality.
Dellapero's eyes picked up on the forming material at the girl's fingertips. Despite the distance and how small the blast appeared, he could pick up on it easily enough..What was moire concerning was the way it was aimed. The attack wasn't intended to just strike the man that broke through Shadowfall lines, but the entire Vanguard battalion of the sector! His eyes narrowed, his enthusiasm for a good food doused in flames at that motion. He wanted to enjoy himself in battle, but when people like this took it upon themselves to wipe out entire legions of people on a whim instead of focusing on their actual opponent? It pissed him off!
The sword in the Human's hand began to glow. A bright blinding light resonated from the weapon. Soldiers on both sides were forced to shield their eyes or be blinded by the building light. The steel morphed, becoming more than a mundane sword. It turned a pure shade of white, extending to the length and width of a giant bastard sword! Its reach and weight both increased dramatically, but more than that, the very nature of it became something unexpected! Purifying energy started to course from the man's body. His green sparks were met with a coating of flowing power that resonated like the holy energy of an angel.
He pressed his feet against the ground, ready to move to intercept the attack without question. The ground cracked under his feet. The twin spiral of green spiritual power and divine light compacted around his flesh, increasing his strength and speed substantially before the battle even started! He wasn't about to let people die for his own selfish desire for a proper battle. If need be, he was prepared to take things a step further without question! Fortunately this wouldn't be needed.
Just as Dellapero was about to move, an unknown figure from the Vanguard's secondary line appered in the beam's path! They blocked it nearly effortlessly somehow, capturing the concentrated electrons and attempting to return them to the one that created them. With that brief moment to finish setting the stage, the swordsman redirected his new surge of power. He needed to deal with the entire army of fodder so he could focus on this ne threat without pause. He planted his foot into the ground, his blade pulled behind him to gather momentum and position for a single arced slash!
The Unknown soldier swung his glowing blade in a perfect arc! He swung it completely around his body and toward the enemy lines of the remaining demons. It made a complete rotation by the end of the motion, the strength of the swing breaking the landscape below the man's feet and leaving a perfectly shaped crated around him. That wasn't the intent of the attack though! As it spun around him, a large wave of white energy spilled out from the weapon. It had a feeling to it that confused the remnants of Shadowfall's army. The blast was huge, encompassing hundreds upon hundreds of feet in every direction and heading for the remaining force. It appeared to have no destructive power with it at all though! The land was untouched, the fallen Demons not even harmed as the energy passed over their fallen forms. Could the entire thing have been an illusion to scare them?
That thought, along with the speed the technique carried was more than enough to let it hit every mark! The wave ripped through the lines of soldiers, passing through dozens of them at once and capturing the vast majority of the demonic army in one foul swoop! Just as before, no damage was incurred by the attack. When the wave passed through the entire legion, not a single soul had been wounded or killed. In fact, they seemed perfectly fin e! The fighting continued for several seconds...But the effect was painfully clear the moment each Demon was touched by the purifying light. Not only would it be discomforting due to its purifying nature, but the majority of those struck by it would find their energy stripped from them in that single moment! Hundreds of soldiers fell to the ground, their consciousness stripped from them and their spiritual energy reduced to nothingness. Only a hand full of the lesser attackers would remain, and even they would have hardly any energy to spare were they touched by the wave of light.
Dellapero turned his head back to Zwei, having done away with any distraction that would have got in his way. Few of the invading forces were dead, but an equally few were conscious. The man leaped from the ground, rising at sonic speeds to meet at the same height as the ghostly child that remained. He was thankful for his unexpected allies debut, but that would be a remark to be made later. The swordsman was ready to move at any given moment, his usual smile replaced by an agitated frown. From the ground below, millions of energy particles rapidly began to rise after him! They accumulated along the length of his blade. The light bringer did more than just siphon the energy from the thousands of Demons below, but was absorbing it as well! The Vanguard operative's entire body slowly started to glow as more and more energy was purified and fused with his body. In a matter of moments, all of that power would be processed and added to his supply for the upcoming battle. Even with all that energy, his power seemed oddly abysmal. It could only compare to a Lieutenant at best..Much like his new-found opponent, it was a ruse that kept his true power hidden from the woman ahead of him.
Before addressing the Devil Iramasha, the man turned to the remaining Vanguard soldiers from the original clash with the Demon hoard. Many were still alive, but that would change if they got in the way of a fight on this scale. he briefly shouted at the army giving them warning of what was to come. Though given his lack of rank, they could very well ignore him. He made the attempt non-the-less!
" Everyone not on the caliber of at least a Commander should fall back now! The hoard has fallen! There is no need to waste your lives at this point. I'll take care of this along with those that think themselves ready for this kind of fight!"
The man stood in the artificial air, his entire body resonating with green sparks and vibrant white light. He pointed his blade forward as reishi continued to rapidly be absorbed by the weapon and returned his attention to Zwei. A sigh escaped him, his emerald eyes looking over the child while trying to feel out just how malicious their intentions were. After such an attempt a moment ago though? He already knew the answer. Grance spoke one more time, giving a single warning much like Rachel had before him. His spoke with an authoritative booming voice, taking things much more seriously than he had been a minute ago.
" Here I was thinking I'd have an opponent that wouldn't go right ahead and try to slaughter everyone as soon as they showed up. Unfortunately for you, even my leniency has a line. Turn back or I can't promise you won't get hurt by the end of this!"
And by hurt? He meant death. In his current state, it was very unlikely..But he had a feeling this may push him to the point of actual lethality..That was never pretty. Anything less could very well spell his own demise though. Grance waited for an answer, or more likely an attack in response. His senses were honed, his weapons dawned and ready for anything to come his way, and an enormous amount of energy was moments from surging through his body. There wouldn't be any restraint for an enemy like this; only complete subjugation from the might of his unbreakable will!

What-a-pain-in-the-ass. The only sentence that simply rang through Zwei's head without further thought. Thinking that they would prove themselves to be worthy adversaries to challenge her is just much of her wishful thinking. While she shouldn't judge on first impressions, the lack of motor skills was enough to put her mood down. Talk about delicacy, the shout was simply annoying. Not just that, but the pointless action of trying to stop the beam would be more amusing than the shout she did just moments ago. If she had redirected the beam instead, it would be just one thing since Zwei would be able to direct the beam back into the army of people and rip right through them like butter. But what she is witnessing is someone attempting to stop the powerful beam in an ambiguous state of electron made from Dark Matter, grab ahold of it and turning it into a ball of energy onto her palm to throw back at Zwei? The very moment that Rachel tried it, she would find herself empty-handed when she tries blending it into her hand. Since Dark Matter is uniquely to Zwei herself, anyone but herself that tries to; recreate, reuse or any attempts no matter what method it may be to manipulate Dark Matter would find that the 'energy' that they tried to use from it would be completely nothing, making it nigh-impossible to use it against Zwei at all. Even if Rachel's attempt is successful for whatever reason it may be, she would find that the energy would rebel against her the second she tried to whip it back at Zwei. Again, it IS Dark Matter and still belongs rightfully to Zwei no matter who or what used it. So, whipping it back to her would cause the ball of energy to expand into a wide carpet of spikes to stab Rachel from any possible spot that may be vulnerable to attack.
Directing her attention back to the man that piqued her attention, another shouting came to her like a bundle of waves. She was getting tired from all of that spartan shouts as if they were trying to announce their dominance over the battlefield, a tactic that would definitely not work against Zwei at all. Really, what's the point of shouting if you absolutely know that your opponent would definitely not leave? Whilst she is annoyed by the occasion that she was presented with by the two, her response was simply a sigh and remained calm in the situation. Staring with both of them with an almost pitiful expression, she would only ask them the simple question that comes to her mind instead of responding to their warnings.
"Tell me, mortals. What is the difference between a murderer that killed a single person and a hero that killed millions?"
This question was addressed to both of them, especially Dellapero. No matter what his intentions were, whether to protect his allies and whatnot, the truth remains that there were corpses under his feet for 'the sake of justice'. Whether have they answered it or not, there would be no differences in both of their actions at all. Their views against each other simply falls under one category: "This person in front of me is my enemy.". After all, it is a matter of self-entitlement by themselves and the majority of the world. A cycle that never ends no matter how long she has lived throughout the centuries.
With a wave of her hand, a ball of Dark Matter began to merge itself above her head, growing larger than ever within a quick succession. While size doesn't matter, the ball of energy is much larger than Zwei's body stature, comparable to that of an average adult. With a command from the click of her tongue, the ball of energy would fire itself into a large blast, with the intention of causing a mass obliteration across the sector without a single care in the world. Unlike the beam, this blast was far more powerful with power simply adjusted enough to leave a fairly large crater on the moon with the sector being reduced nothing but dusts. While it may be a taxing task, this case does not apply to Zwei whom relies the entirety of her existence on nothing but Dark Matter. Hopefully that the girl that once stopped her beam has learned her lesson and this time, stopping the blast would result with dire consequences and possibly, resulting in more destruction than her original intention. While it is not as fast as the beam, the blast do hold a tremendous destruction power on itself, making her full intention that she wishes to leave both Rachel and Dellapero with fatal wounds and if possible, kill them.
However, in the case where she is interrupted or the blast has either been stopped, destroyed, negated or even redirected to somewhere else by other methods that she did not know of? Zwei took account into these probable actions and is protected by tendrils of Dark Matter that extends from her back. The exact number of them is unknown but enough to provide protection against an earth-shattering force if they were to somehow throw the blast back at her with some unknown method. Intentionally leaving a few openings from above and from the sides, Zwei was absolutely confident that they would not be able to hurt her, not to mention, kill her? For the sake of saving up as much energy as possible from unnecessary defenses, a few openings of these would be easily exploited even by a monkey.
Now, whether one of them or both of them came charging at her at the same time, they would meet with the defensive force of the tendrils, each with force capable of smashing a building apart to pieces. While the physical strength of these tendrils may not amount to much, once they have a direct contact against it, they would find their swords dulled, flesh ripped apart and bones being grind with an utmost force. You guessed it, these are vibrating tendrils that would make it far more fearsome than an ordinary chainsaw. They are designed to cut through even the toughest defenses that her adversaries could come up with, not for physical destruction. Once they get close to her in less than a few meters apart, these tendrils would extend themselves to chase after anything that is within the vicinity, especially Rachel and Dellapero.
If they had managed to cut the tendril to many pieces or even into two, the detached part of the tendril would automatically reform itself into a ball of energy before firing itself into a beam as thin as a bullet. The beam is surprisingly weak, that even a powerless human would only feel a stinging pain out of it. However, they hold with a terrifying piercing capability, so much so that even a bakudo #99 would be inferior compared to the beam. They don't do a lot of damage but the beam themselves would lock itself to vital parts of the body that can potentially immobilize one of their limbs for a short period of time and restrict any spiritual energy flowing through those limbs to prevent healing or even regeneration. If these two are careless, they will find themselves in a sticky situation.
Standing on the exact same spot she stood from the beginning of her entrance, her eyes would look down on the unnerving looks of these two individuals, believing that they would be the ones saving the day for this sector. Unfortunately, Zwei isn't so kind to make this easy for them to play a game of house. As much as she is here for Monsuta business, she surely wouldn't leave out the fun from the pain and suffering of their faces, would she? It has been so long that she has seen people struggling fighting the force they can never hope to defeat.
