Sector K [Operation Moon Massacre]

Of Shadowfall's Banshees, one individual stuck out like a sore thumb. However, this wasn't because of any over-the-top attitude, clothing, or appearance. In fact, the reason he stood out was due to the exact opposite: He was a powerless human. With absolutely no Spiritual Pressure or Reiryoku to speak of, he had about as much energy as a grain of sand. On top of that, he wears jeans. Jeans. In Shadowfall. In the Demon World. Jeans. The man also dressed in plain sandals, a white long sleeve shirt, and a grey jacket he wears loosely on his shoulders. Really the only things that would help him stick out of a crowd of regular people are his long grey hair and the ever-there twig sticking out of the side of his mouth. Why he chewed on it, he wouldn't say. What was clear though was his complete and utter indifference to the ridiculous and mighty beasts that also populated the Banshee Force, despite he himself being looked upon with disdain due to being a regular ol' human. This fact didn't keep him down, though. He had other ways of making up for his spiritual mediocrity.

What was important right now however was for the first time in quite a few years, Mifune Soan was going into battle. Despite being one of the strongest members of Shadowfall's Special Forces, he rarely actually left his small home in one of the quieter and more Earth-like sections of the Demon World. There were of course occasional missions he couldn't talk his way out of, but the upper echelons of Shadowfall had, for the past couple years, become much more aggressive in their invasions and actions towards the living world so he knew it was just a matter of time until eventually he was forced to partake in such an event. On this day, Mifune was to be part of the primary fighting force directed to invade the Vanguard base on Earth's moon. Despite this, the Banshee swordsman knew he would be able to find a way to avoid the main battles by sneaking off immediately after arriving at his destination. Which is exactly what he did.

Mere minutes after he touched ground in Sector B of the Moon base, Mifune left his soldiers behind and began moving away from the central conflict. During this he stayed as incognito as possible, completely avoiding detection thanks to his heightened senses and complete lack of a Spiritual Pressure that could betray him to his enemy's sensors. Even though the man saw multiple situations in which his Shadowfall allies could use some assistance, he avoided making his presence known. He didn't actually care about other members of his organization or whether they lived or died. For him, he just didn't want to have to be forced into combat. Even though he very strictly followed his employer's directives, at the moment Mifune didn't believe his combat prowess was necessary to win the day so he figured laying low for at least a little while would be the best decision he could make.

Eventually, Shadowfall's Yojimbo made it to a pretty calm sector. There were next to no soldiers in the area from either side of the war, and thanks to the many storage buildings there would plenty of spots to hide out in. Mifune spotted one specific location that didn't seem to have many lights on, and as far as he could tell nobody was nearby. Without waiting long, so as to avoid any newcomers, he made his way to the area and sneaked in through a door that lacked a camera. After examining his surroundings and adjusting to the darkness, Mifune made his way further into the Sector until he came upon a man he recognized instantly without even having to think about it: Azure Iramasha, Leader and strongest man of the Vanguard organization. "Damnit." The one person Mifune most wanted to avoid was sitting right in front of him, far away from where he believed the Iramasha would be. "Ahhh....why did it have to be you? The one person I can't just walk away from. Just come along quietly, won't you? Don't put up a fight. I really, really don't wanna fight you."
