A KING'S REQUIEM
AZURE IRAMASHA
忘れっぽいです
忘れっぽいです
"My cheek isn't steel you know. Dig a little deeper and I'll bleed." Azure's cheeks continued to burn a crimson red as Kokoro had her way with the conversation they had. Whether it was oriented towards the food they had, the words he spoke or the situation in general, it seemed that she always had some type of remark to make the man squirm. It was as if she knew how to push each and every little button that would make Azure Iramasha jolt, it was almost disturbing. "I don't think you have any room to talk about being child-like, Koko."
Just like that, Azure was at a loss for words, as per the usual with the woman. Kokoro didn't seem to be too uptight about the so-called date, nor did she seem to bothered by the situation at all. For a woman much younger than him, she definitely stood above him in maturity at times. Of course, Azure wasn't going to break down from embarrassment but that didn't mean he wasn't significantly embarrassed. Turning from the young Miyake, he smiled at the chef behind the counter before he slowly brought his body closer to the counter of the small shop.
"A-Aliens? Who you callin' an Alien?" The red that filled Azure's cheeks became a different red, one that carried not just embarrassment but confusion. Of course, Iramasha were spiritual beings unknown to the world for quite some time, but really? That didn't make them some creepy aliens from another realm. Snorting at his meal, Azure brought his head back down to dig in to what seemed to be his favorite food of all time. Kokoro sure spoke her mind when she liked too, though it could just be the alcohol talking.
"I guess you aren't wrong, the Iramasha do have special types of food we use for celebrations and traditions, but in the end we share a lot of what the Human realm uses. It's easier with all the spiritual beings and spiritual humans that move from one place to the next, it's a type of familiarity I guess. We don't have anything strange or crazy, believe it or not. We have a lot of similar animals that the Human realm has, along with that were originally from the human realm. I guess we're kind of watered down now."
Looking back to the Sukiyaki before him, a soft sigh escaped the Vanguard Leader's lips. Thinking of family wasn't his favorite past time. They were silent on their end and he didn't spend much time going out of his way to visit. His Father had changed and become a silent man and Koichi? He wasn't very livid in recent years. It wasn't too important, but in the end family did matter to the man. Shaking his head, a smile filtered to the man's lips as Kokoro spoke to herself.
Thin chopsticks found their way to Azure's lips, centimeters away from bringing noodles to his throat, that was until the Miyake screamed. The abrupt scream shook Azure, his knee smacking against the counter as he dropped his own noodles against its wood surface. Turning to the razzled woman, Azure began to cough abruptly as his cheeks filled once more with blood. The only thing Azure could focus on was the soft slurping of noodles against Kokoro's lips, his nerves being plucked with each tone that changed. Shivers entered his spine as he stood, the girl hinting at the fact that her drunk state was the cause of this.
"You don't say, Kokoro." Moving to her side, the Iramasha pulled at a large container of towel paper and swiped up the noodles on the floor. Balling the portion of towel up, he turned to Kokoro and rushed his other hand forward, bringing more towels toward her. "Did you burn yourself? The Sukiyaki is still pretty hot..." His words trailed off, his eyes averting from the young maiden before he could grow too distracted once more.
It seemed Azure never had a dull moment with the Miyake sisters.

There truly weren't words extravagent enough to describe the embarrassment that Kokoro felt at seeing her commander bend down to clean up after her mess, especially since her inebriated state seemed to dull her sense of vocabulary. Once he moved out of the way, she sat down cautiously yet again, picking up her chopsticks between her fingers. As her accompanying friend tried to help her out even more, Kokoro pursed her lips and held out an arm to stop him. ''Nono, it's fine... Just a shlip of the fingers, that's all. I'll be careful now. Besides, it didn't burn at all. I'm tougher than that~''
Still holding him back with one arm, she narrowed her eyes at her utensils as if trying to dissect them on the spot. Her fingers fumbled around with the sticks, attempting to position them correctly for dining, and any distraction could very well cause her to drop them. It was an uncomfortable and difficult several seconds before the Miyake seemed to get it right, announcing her achievement with a childish ''Yata~'' Then, with unparalleled focus, the woman delved into her dish with the two prongs, and brought her face over the lip of the bowl this time.
Almost surprisingly, Kokoro managed it: Without dropping or spilling anything, she was able to draw the noodles to her mouth and sip them right up like a waterfall in reverse. When she finished, she sat up with a pleased smile on her face, eyes closed in contentment, humming happily from the back of her throat. With the taste of the Sukiyaki lingering on her tongue, it would come to the second part of her test: Lacing her fingers around the bottle of beer she had brought with her, she would crane her head back and raise the drink up above her mouth to just let it pour down into it. She flipped the container over a complete one-hundred and eighty degrees and awaited the rich mixture of flavors...
A single drop would fall onto her eager tongue, and none more.
It would take several seconds for Kokoro to register that the alcohol was all gone, but when she did the reaction was violent. She was a blur of movement as she leapt up from her stool and spun around, crying out an unintelligible word of exasperation that sounded something along the lines of 'Mukyu!' The bottle went flying out across the street, spiraling like a thrown shuriken as it just barely missed hitting anyone across the head... before smashing against the wall on the opposite side of the street and littering the ground with dozens of glass shards. Not only that, but the extreme movement caused by Kokoro would cause the only button keeping her shirt together to come undone, thus coming dangerously close to exposing more than just her cleavage.
Seemingly oblivious to the fact that her top was about to fall off of her body, and to the surprised bystanders that jumped at the sudden explosion of glass that came out of nowhere, Kokoro would let out a sigh of dismay slowly crumble down to the ground inside the Sukiyaki shop. As she came to terms with the fact that she had run out of beer, she let out another, more impressive sigh. ''Shorry...'' she began to explain, hitting her head on one of the legs of her stool, ''I dropped my drink -hic-''
