A KING'S REQUIEM

AZURE IRAMASHA
忘れっぽいです

The mid-morning sun began to beat at the hard pavements of the S-Zone, a location within Karakura's Imaginary District. The heat was near unbearable for most, an absurd temperature for the middle of march. One of the very men being beat to death by the heat was Azure Iramasha, man of the hour.

A lonely Hybrid Iramasha that spent a majority of his time stuffed up in an office along with his Vanguard comrades. That, or he was constantly forced to fight in order to keep others safe and sound. Today was a special day however, his mind was scattered from his general thoughts onto a single idea. After the events of the Miyake sisters recently, it seemed that Azure had finally noticed something that was weighing on him greatly. Things were changing so quickly yet he seemed to be sticking in the same spot. Azure was Azure, through and through, even with things such as the Husk and Iceland behind him. It was something he didn't understand too well, given even as a child he changed so easily. Nevertheless, the day was one of odd and unwelcome feelings, it seemed.

The man could be seen moving from one area to the next within the S-zone, making sure to stop at quite a few shops in order to peek in and say hello to those manning the counters. He was a kind man at the core of his person, a majority of his time spent outside of work and fighting usually went towards making others smile. The man when from store to store, expressing a small bit of gratitude to those that helped keep Karakura the lively city it was, finally reaching his destination quite some time later. With the passing of time came the liveliness of the streets, rush hour beginning as people went to return home from the Imaginary District boundaries. This left Azure sitting alone in a quiet little cafe, his eyes watching as the streets filled with people and cars, endlessly moving.

Few waiters were around, the Vanguard Leader being left to his own devices when it came to entertaining himself. With a small coffee in hand, the male zoned out quietly into the white screen before him. A heads up display had found its way to the empty space before him, its screen displaying a list of people that the Vanguard were currently trying to pursue for recruitment. Azure had to keep his eyes ever vigilant these days it seemed, person after person wishing to join their ranks for one reason or another. No one could ever tell who was for the benefit of the Vanguard and the benefit of themselves, it was something that had to be watched carefully.

Flipping through quite the list, Azure sighed and rested his head against his free hand. Downing a large gulp of his drink, the Hybrid focused his azure eyes on the list. Quite a few of the names could be removed, many of them already being within their ranks or being pursued personally. With quite a loud huff, Azure straightened his body out as he smiled. Even with his standing still, it seemed things were still going towards a silver lining. With a flick of his finger, the HUD disappeared into the air, the man turning his eyes to the coffee before him.

"And somehow, things always turn to work out, eh? Talk about a stroke of luck."

''Hmm hmm hmmmm~♪ Hmhmmm~♪ Hehehe~'' A musical voice escaped thin lips just before being stifled by the rim of a brown bottle; then proceeded the sounds of gulping, as bittersweet liquor poured down the throat of the woman who created these sounds. She was haphazardly walking away from the scene of a crime: Behind her, in a dark alleyway, were three men gnarled together in what could be passed off as a knot. What their various stories were, and what had taken place in this dark alleyway with the woman and the three men was something known only amongst them. Either way, this woman would be leaving them behind with quite the cheerful air about her, or perhaps it was the bottle of beer she held close to her bosom.

Not to draw attention to her more intimate parts of the body, but the way her plain white shirt was unbuttoned all the way down the center left not much to the imagination. The fabric barely clung onto her torso by the merit of her breasts, and it was as if the slightest breeze could push the flap right off to expose her, as she clearly was wearing no undergarments beneath it. At the least, her blue-striped skirt and black pantyhose combination kept her bottom half safe from peers, but for the top, one could only pray.

Kokoro realized she'd left Naomi behind, as she looked back and forth but couldn't find the cerulean hair of hers anywhere. Funny, Naomi was supposed to be following her like she'd told the girl to. After all, it was much easier to take care of her that way. The thing was, she'd been enjoying her drink so much that she must have missed where she went. Shrugging, she figured the eldest could take care of herself if it came to trouble; there probably wasn't a man in this entire city that could handle her. Rather, Kokoro continued on down the streets, earning stares from the various people around her. Though with her just recently having dealt with the last group of men who had tried to corral her... she had some time before another dimwit or dimwits tried anything.

And then a familiar sight accosted her—somewhat blurry—vision; that silvery hair, those blue eyes, and that typical melancholy aura. Why, it could be none other than her commander, Azure Iramasha! With a sudden excitement, Kokoro ran up to the large open-view window on the side of the coffee shop he was in, pressing against in a manner that flattened her soft mounds in between her body and the hard surface. In case he didn't hear her already, she would knock on the window with the palm of her hand a few times to catch his attention, showing off a goofy smile through the glass. Shortly thereafter, the intoxicated woman rushed around the shop to get to the door, and slide into the seat right next to Azure only moments later, placing her beer on the table in front of him.

She would lean her cheek against her hand and relaxed, hiding nothing about her current loose state of mind. ''Fancy meetin' you here, how are you? Are you doing better? I can check up on you right now if you want.'' The sentences flew from her mouth with punctuation doing little to slow her. She otherwise intently stared at him with dizzy violet hues beneath half-lidded eyes, and a gentle smile. Regardless of what she looked like right now, she seemed oblivious to it. She was just happy to see him here, though perhaps it would be mistaken how happy she was exactly.

A KING'S REQUIEM

AZURE IRAMASHA
忘れっぽいです

Quiet clings of metal sounded through the cafe as Azure Iramasha stifled relatively long yawn, his sleepless eyes blinking at the room he sat within. With coffee in hand, it seemed the man was beginning to doze off in the silent cafe. Smirks and giggles filled the staff as they watched the silver haired man look as if he was in an entirely new world. Without much thought, Azure looked to the front counter and back to his table. A plate of bread had appeared from what seemed like nowhere, a small smile gliding across the boy's lips as he went to start the ritual that was eating sweet bread.

Sadly, before the man could actually take a chance to eat the newly received bread, a loud thud came from the window beside him. A small jump forced Azure to looked to his side, a look of relief filling his face as Kokoro Miyake stared in. The woman was dressed as best as she could be, her casual wear being far more casual than most were comfortable with. Her body was pushed against the glass wall, the barrier between herself and Azure keeping her from flinging herself onto the man. With a soft smile, Azure gestured inside as the woman raced onward.

As lively as ever, the Miyake was one of three that Azure was constantly in contact with. Kokoro, the middle child, seemed to be the clearest thinking and wisest of the three. It was nice having the one that wasn't going to attempt to kill him around. Like usual, the woman was a tad bit intoxicated. Azure knew too well how much Kokoro loved her alcohol, his mind slipping away as she slipped into the seat next to him. With relative ease, the woman relaxed her body before speaking to the Hybrid.

Kokoro was a tad bit too comfortable with her clothing it seemed, her shirt spreading as she lazed around. Nevertheless, she spoke fast and fluently despite her drunkenness. Looking from the bread in front of him and to the violet eyes of Kokoro, Azure smiled silently. "Fancy enough, it seems. I'm alright, just a bit tired." With the statement, the man turned back to the display that had returned to his frontal view. Reading through the list once more, he placed his hand against his thigh, tapping lightly.

"Thanks Kokoro, but I should be fine. Most I've heard out of the guy is angry words. I appreciate the gesture, though." The silence once again filled the cafe as Azure munched along his bread's edge, focusing in on the Miyake's names. It was the perfect time to actually talk to Kokoro, despite her alcohol. It was almost fate that one of the three had stumbled to his little abode. Looking from their names to her face, Azure's vivid eyes scanned her own figure once more before speaking.

"Kokoro. Where's the sisters? You're all nearly inseparable so.. it's a bit surprising to see you here alone. You know?" He noted the fact that Naomi, the affectionate of the three sisters, was no where to be seen. It must mean she was with Kimiyo, the one who wanted Azure's head on a stick. God thank you he wasn't dead, he definitely deserved it at this point. A smile wrapped its way along the Hybrid's lips once more before he turned his attention back to his desert.

"Hungry, Koko?"

There was an awkward moment of silence between the two when it seemed it should have been Kokoro's turn to speak, where she was just staring at Azure, or at least in Azure's general direction. The realization eventually came, and it could be seen on her face as her eyes found a bit of clarity and she straightened up in her seat slightly. ''Oh really now? That's good! Good! Surprisin' considering you were such an atrocious mess inside last time I peeked in there -hic-... Looks like it wasn' a big deal after all, huh? Good.''

She pushed her finger through the opening of her bottle, and slowly began to spin it around in a ring on its bottom. A line of precipitation would form on the table, as the beer's stark coldness solidified the cozy air around it on the outside of the bottle. One had to imagine that despite the effects it was causing to the lively woman, it had to be quite the refreshing drink. One also had to worry for how long she could keep twirling the glass bottle around like that before she accidentally let it slip and fall, spilling and perhaps even shattering the container. She seemed to be able to do it effortlessly, but there was a degree of tension for those sober.

Kokoro was of course oblivious to any tension in the air right now, hardly paying attention to what her left hand was doing just as little as she was her left foot, which was irregularly tapping on the homely wooden floor of the coffee shop. To say that she didn't really have any goal or plan in mind when she rushed in here would be quite accurate, as this rendezvous had been founded completely due to coincidence and right of whimsy. There was little thought swimming through the Miyake's mind besides the sweet warmth of inebriety that made her feel oh-so-good. Complimenting her blurry vision were summery colors around the edges of her vision that hadn't any place in reality. Her senses were a little numb if she were to be honest and the fact that she could coordinate anything with the rest of her body was quite the bit of a feat.

Like anybody else, Kokoro fell pray to the foolishness of alcoholism, and the fact that she possessed power did little to nothing to stave the stupor. This Kokoro was a different person from the sober Kokoro, so perhaps a little surprise was to be expected. When she was interrogated about her sisters, again she had just a shrug of the shoulder to give him. ''Kimiyo is probbly at home. Naomi -hic-... dunno? What's wrong with just wantin' to see my heroic leader and have a nice chat? Nothing wrong~''

Food being hinted at perked the woman's head up, however. She relinquished her finger from the bottle's neck, causing it to teeter dangerously back and forth on its edges for an extended amount of time before very luckily settling upright. Koko, who didn't seem to notice, was looking at Azure with a hopeful expression in her eyes. ''Oh~? Why yes, in fact, a lil'. But there's a catch...'' she trailed off as she collected her beer with one hand and slid it snugly into her exposed cleavage as she leaned against the table, as if to draw attention to one or the other. ''I'm always looking for things that go well with liquor, so if you could come up with somethin' like that... though not sure if you'll find anything 'ere.''

A KING'S REQUIEM

AZURE IRAMASHA

"I wouldn't say it wasn't a big deal, but anything to make my friends feel better." Azure smiled, lowering the display before him into thin air once more as he let his body loosen. Each muscle began to tense and stretch, arms and legs pulling in directions that could only make him seem like a tiny child. Finally reaching the extent of his lenghts, he returned back to a proper stance in his chair with a flush of red filling his cheeks. What a child, acting like he was hundreds of years younger than he already was.

Brushing off the embarressment he felt from his excessive stretch, Azure watched Kokoro daze off into her own world. Despite her drunk state, she still seemed to be aware of the things around her. Well, the things in her immediate vicinity at least. The quiet cafe filled with the sounds of the woman's swinging bottle and the tapping of Azure's fingers. The quiet scene was beginning to grow louder and louder with the interaction of the new beings. An Iramasha of royal decent and a Human from a relatively old family. It seemed like such an odd situation, no?

After Azure had hinted at the prescene of Kokoro's sisters, it seemed the man had sapped the very energy from the girl. She didn't seem to care of the others at the current moment, more so in the now with her commander. Her words only cemented his thoughts on the subject when she pointed how she was genuinely spending time with him. It wasn't that Azure disliked that, on the contrary he always liked the feeling he had with all of the Miyake sisters. Kimiyo was able to bring out his anger but in a productive way. Naomi allowed him to feel better in almost anyway possible, her moods and actions instilling some type of calm into him. Last but not least was Kokoro, the woman that normally thought level-headed and spent her time talking of wise words and kindness. That was, when she wasn't off her rocker at least.

"Heroic is a bit of a stretch, Koko. I appreciate the words though, as usual." With arms crossed behind his neck, the Hybrid smiled and looked at her once more. The tension within the air was almost non-existant, the friendlyness that the two expressed was surprising for ones who didn't know each other for very long.

As if to embarres himself further, his eyes travelled along the girl's figure, watching each curve and movement without much thought. Kokoro moved against the table, pressing herself against her beer bottle as its condensation trailed along her breasts. Almost like no one was home, Azure's vaccant eyes fixated for a moment before he finally caught himself. Eyes and face expressing surprise, the man's body began to burn. Letting his eyes gaze off to the side yet again, he thought of a type of food that might sate the girl's hunger.

"We'll, if you want t-treated to a dinner, you could have asked, Kokoro." A childish stutter filled Azure's voice as he stood from his chair, placing a large bill of yen on the table's surface as he walked to the entrance of the cafe. "There's quite a few places nearby that I've already visited today. If you want, we can pick and choose." With a soft smile, the man opened the door and motioned for Kokoro to follow.

Kokoro would close her eyes and let out a relieved breath; ''Hooooo... I thought you'd never ask. To be honest it's too stuffy in here. Was gettin' too hot and I thought I would have to do somethin' about it. Thankfully we can get out of here now~'' She would excuse herself from the table and seem to have a slightly difficult time getting back on her feet again, only managing it with minor issues, such as the flaps of her button-down shirt swinging back and forth and nearly causing a wardrobe malfunction on multiple occasions. With the threshold between public decency and indecency so thin right now, it was quit clear what Kokoro's words were intended to mean, without her needing to directly say it. At the very least, one could be proud that she finally managed to stand up straight and not be charged with public nudity. With that out of the way, they could continue onward to another shop or restaurant, for which Kokoro was truly excited for.

The subtleties of taste and melding of different flavors was something her tongue was trained for—one of her passions was finding unique and exquisite essences, especially those involving alcohol, and saving the combinations for later to enjoy on her own time. Her list was already quite extensive, but as she traveled from place to place she continued to find new blends that titillated her taste buds. Did she expect dear Azure to be an expert on the subject himself, and come up with something truly ingenious? Frankly, no, but there was the chance that he had some insight on the food around this place. She'd not lived long in Karakura, spending the majority of her life in the Miyake village further south in Japan. Nowadays, Karakura was the center of the world, so the possibilities were grand.

''Oh~? Taking me out to dinner, it is? If that's how ya wanna look at it, hun, then by alllllllll means -hic-'' Having said this, she would 'accidentally' bump into Azure's back on the way out of the coffee shop, pushing them both out the door with a stumble here and there, and probably embarrassing the both of them. There was an extreme lack of modesty in the way Kokoro's chest squished against his back, and the genuine softness felt suggested there really was nothing covering those mounds of hers. In fact, when Kokoro was about to relieve the pressure from his back, she instead reaffirmed it, as she sheepishly whispered into his ear; her voice was rough and the smell of beer was more obvious than a pink elephant in a small classroom. She sounded unsure at first, beginning with ''Uhhhh... hold on...''

After a short pause, she whispered again. ''Just stand right there for a moment, dun move...'' Despite the awkward situation the two found themselves in, Kokoro advised him to keep still as she reached up and started to fumble with her shirt. From the feeling of it, it seemed like she was trying to pull the sides of her shirt close together while using Azure to cover her. It didn't take long, thankfully, and she'd eventually pull away with a deep red flush in her face, and an embarrassed smile. It would seem now that at least one button was now snapped together, doing its very best to keep the woman the slightest bit prudent, but only barely. ''Was just a bit of a slip; I fixed it~ We can go now.''

To deal with the humiliation she felt right about that moment, she would bring her bottle straight to her lips and take an extended swig of the beer, quite effectively erasing the unease by the time she was finished. In exchange, it only made it harder for her to stand up straight, and she ended up teetering against Azure. He being the sober one amongst them, she would reach for and grab his arm and rely on him to steer her around while she enjoyed her drink. That way she didn't need to worry about anything other than the surprise destinations he had in mind. She wondered what he'd come up with to try and tantalize her sophisticated tastes.

A KING'S REQUIEM

AZURE IRAMASHA

"J-Jeez, Kokoro. It isn't that hot in here." Instead of simply coming along, the Miyake seemed to be more interested in teasing the man without knowing so. He wasn't too focused on the situation at hand, her words bringing up thoughts of obscene nature in his mind as his cheeks grew rosy red. Averting his eyes, Azure looked to the streets once more as he waited for her to accompany him. It seemed that the day was slowly draining away into night, the setting sun quickly reaching the horizon. To think, so much time had passed before Kokoro's arrival. Nevertheless, the man wan't too fond of the night life of Karakura, loud and obnoxious. He had little room to talk when it came to certain things, but hell, everyone had their own prefrences.

Letting a soft yawn escape his mouth, the man stepped to the door's frame, rubbing his head as he took in the view. Each moment came with shifting eyes, from one shop to the next Azure pondered on how he would be tackling the situation of food. There were quite a few choices, different flavors for different folks being an apparent theme of the S-Zone. A majority of each establishment knew Azure personally, his personality and being seemed to be rather popular throughout the entirety of Karakura, his name meaning quite a bit. Shadin wasn't the only person with a name worth mentioning in Karakura, something Azure was proud of through in through. Without his name meaning something, the Vanguard wouldn't have had the success they did with the Iramasha Leader.

Taking one last look at the street, he turned his eyes back to the inside of the cafe just before he was rammed forward. Kokoro had pushed herself against his back, solidifying her position as she talked about the dinner he had just offered her. It wasn't meant to be taken such a way, the red flush returning to his cheeks as he turned back towards the street as she clung to his back. Shift after shift, her chest move along his shirt with reckless abandon. The azure colored eyes of the man were constantly in motion, the nervousness settling in deep as she adjusted herself to at least straighten the white dress up shirt she adorned.

Kokoro pulled away, exclaiming in a satisified tone that she was all better now. Without thinking a single second more, Azure's filter failed to register to his words for a change. "A-Alright. Please, the next time you plan on pressing.. yourself against me, give me a heads up. I-I was not expecting that." Stumbling over his own words, he smiled as if to show he wasn't truly nervous. Despite this, he was obviously expressing himself without thought. "As for it being dinner, I-I didn't mean it that way but I wouldn't care either way."

As if to try to fix the situation entirely, Azure stepped away from Kokoro in order to reach their destination. It was a failed movement, her arm wrapping around his own as she stumbled forward. Her movements were sluggish and haphazardly made, the alcohol in her system really settling in now that they were on to another location. Completly quieting himself, Azure walked forth with Kokoro in tow.

Azure took in the sights of the large S-Zone, his eyes moving from one building to the next as they shifted two blocks east from the small cafe they previously resided in. His body was moving on its own, his mind trying to focus on a distraction as Kokoro pressed herself against him in order to stay standing properly. Every step of the way seemed to try to fill Azure's mind with some type of impure though, so luckaly there destination was finally upon them.

Taking a long look at the banner above, he smiled and moved back the soft cloth that cut the small ramen shop off from the rest of the block's structures. Pulling along Kokoro, Azure gestured to a set at the counter and smiled at the man behind the counter. A fellow Iramasha man, nodding his head as he went to work.

"It might not seem that special, but he's from Iramasha Island." He gestured at the man's position, taking his own seat whether Kokoro was willing to stick around or not. Crossing his arms against the counter, a boyish air filled Azure's words. "It's a long story, if you want to hear it Koko." Placing a relatively large bill against the oak counter, he turned back to the young girl, his eyes fixated on her very figure.

"You know, you're actually really stunning." Yet again, the filter was removed before Azure could catch his own words. Hair standing on end, red filled the entire Iramasha's face. Turning back quickly to the chef, the man chuckled behind the counter. He couldn't keep himself from trouble, could he?

A Second To Breathe Empty Re: A Second To Breathe

Wed Mar 16, 2016 5:13 pm

Artist: Gravity Rush — Song: Douse Shinundakara

It was difficult for Kokoro to take in everything that was going on around her. There were a lot of lights in her vision melding together, including the setting sun. A little bit of red, some purple, mixed with yellows; all of it like a foggy cloud that obscured most of the details of the environment. Hell, if it wasn't for tagging along with Azure, she would have difficulty managing not to accidentally ram into other pedestrians. It was such that got her in the mess in the alleyway earlier, when she lost track of Naomi. As for where they were going, Kokoro merely had Azure's word to go off of, because truth be told she couldn't very well read either.

''I tripped,'' was her intelligent response to his accusation, as she shrugged her shoulders and proceeded to break into an alcohol-induced fit of giggles. Suddenly the embarrassing moment that had just occurred had become incredibly hilarious now that the danger had passed. Using her commander as a dressing curtain in the middle of the street? Truly, not something on Kokoro's bucket list but secretly she was glad that she could say it was something that happened. Why was she not fired yet? She didn't know; Azure must have been a very forgiving man, since others wouldn't take it that well. Kimiyo sure wouldn't in his position. Perhaps it was just because she was a woman and he personally took a liking to what he felt. Yes, that's where the Miyake's mind went.

After walking for a bit to allow her thoughts to settle, Kokoro would suddenly speak up in a low voice, failing to stifle her giggles throughout the whole sentence. ''Don't worry, Azure -hic- I understand compleeeeetely. I won' tell anyone. Promise~'' After that, it was back to her own world, with a goofy smile on her face and a thousand-mile stare into the sunset. She continued to stumble along with Azure pulling her around with her, but nothing too clumsy. Try as her outfit might to fall apart, the single clasped button across her bosom bravely held everything together, and it looked fairly secure for having been the handiwork of a drunk. There were some who stared on with lewd eyes, but others... who looked upon Azure with an encouraging nod, for being a responsible man for the lady. Either way, it was impossible to avoid the stares, especially with the reputation that preceded the Iramasha here.

When they finally did arrive at their destination, Kokoro would finally let go of her guide's arm, and squint up at the humble restaurant's banner with slight suspicion. When she finally managed to discern the type of place they were at, she couldn't hold back the half-snicker, half-scoff. A ramen shop? While Kokoro had little information about Karakura's possibilities, she certainly had expected more than this from a man of Azure's caliber. Despite the shop-owner being right in front of them, the woman as very vocal over it. ''Ramen? With beer?! Hahaha, I know I said I still had a lot of flavors to explore yet, but I can assuuuuure you... I've tried ramen already every which way and where. The experimentation has been done, hahaha!'' Her laughing would get to a point where she was snorting, her body drifting from left to right as the hilarity imbalanced her. Truly, her expectations had been dashed, and she couldn't help but laugh at the man.

And then came the bombshell; Kokoro couldn't tell if it was because he was inhaling the fumes of the beer from her breath, or if the way she was so loose and fun when she was drunk, or if he really just found her pretty... but out loud, he would deliver upon her a compliment of her appearance, making things even more awkward for himself. It took a while for Kokoro to register what had been said, but considering that she was drunk, she might as well go along with it irregardless. Containing her laughter and just holding a smile, she purposefully bumped into him with her side, teasing him. ''So you like me, huh~? Or d'you just mean I'm so stunningly bad when I'm drunk? Nah, I bet ya like me. It can't be helped, of course~''

She threw her free arm around his shoulder and squeezed him close against her as she took another gulp from her bottle, feeling the container beginning to grow empty. ''You want me to try some magic ramen? Kay, I'll go for it. But next time I expect something fancy, or this dating thing isn't gonna go so well, eheh~ I expect better from a handsome man like yourself.''

A KING'S REQUIEM

AZURE IRAMASHA
忘れっぽいです

Kokoro was a sneaky woman, at least when it came to her and Azure this afternoon. He could be completely wrong and be a fool, which wouldn't be surprising in the slightest way, but he was still of the belief that none of this was accidental. Tripping into a man and.. it wasn't accidental, not that it was the end of the world. It just wasn't the normal. It wasn't fair for him to think such things, however. Azure's life was far from normal, why the hell would he have a single inch of room to talk? Nevertheless, it seemed that Kokoro was enjoying her state of inebriation. Despite how childish it seemed, it still brought a sense of happiness to Azure that even a small thing such as beer could make someone smile.

"... Kokoro." With a somber tone lingering with his words, he let a soft sigh escape his throat as she judged the small shop instantly. The golden hues of the setting sun flung their way along the streets of the Imaginary district as the two resided within the small eatery. Despite the looks of the small shop, they weren't here for Ramen. Azure had a favorite food from a favorite chef, it's the sole reason the Iramasha man owned a shop in the Imaginary District. Letting the comments of the food slide off with little effort, he turned back to the chef before being interrupted yet again.

Oof. With the smallest of bumps, Azure's body gentled tapped the chair beside him as Kokoro bumped herself against him. A loud clang came as the chair that used to sit next to him bounced against the cement below. Before he could do anything, the rosy cheeked man began coughing abruptly. "W-Wait now, I never said that... Not that I wouldn't, and not in a bad way it's just m-more of-" Hands clapsed before his face, Azure eyed the chef before talking once more. "Alright, Kokoro. You've figured me out." There was no reason to be so stern and nervous, she was drunk. The last thing she would remember his a slip of the tongue, right?

All sense of air escaped the Iramasha's lungs as Kokoro clung to his body. It came to such a surprise, his skin coming within centimeters of her own as she downed yet more alcohol. Dating. He was on a date, apparently. Azure had a way with getting himself into the oddest situations. He'd need to work on his choice of words next time at least."We're here to eat Sukiyaki. I said it was a long story, didn't I?" It wasn't very long before two bowls were placed before the patrons and food began to be piled within.

The chef began to sear quite a large amount of beef and tofu, his eyes focused on work as the two chatted away. "This man worked on Iramasha Island for a majority of his life. He's nearly double my own age. That means he served my own family before he ever served me such a dish." His eyes glazed over, childhood memories slowly filling his mind a smile fought its way to his face. "I won't eat Sukiyaki unless he makes it." Without another word, Azure spun around in his chair so he could face the young woman, taking her in yet again.

"You can giggle all you like, but I wouldn't bring you here without reason, right? Just try the food, it might not be a five star restraunt but it's better. To me, at least." His smile bore white, pearly teeth. Yet again, the silver-haired man looked like a boy, his childish charm finally reaching his surface again. Turning his body back to the counter, both bowls had been filled entirely with a variety of ingredients. Tofu and Beef filled the center, jelly noodles surrounding the two substances. Scattered around the rest of the empty space were soft leaves of cabbage and garland, various types of mushrooms littered through each portion of food. With a final look at the chef, Azure silently bowed in his seat.

"If we keep this up, I'm sure there will be different places in the future. Don't you think, Koko?" The words came and went, a soft red filling his cheeks as he undoubtly made a fool of himself yet again. Without a second though, he commenced eating, his stomach taking over before much could be done about it.

A Second To Breathe Empty Re: A Second To Breathe

Artist: Gravity Rush — Song: Douse Shinundakara

Kokoro closed her eyes and gave a knowing smile as the male she had in a headlock fumbled over his words trying to worm his way out of this one. She set her bottle down on the table and then took her finger to his cheek to slowly dig into it, using a gradually growing strength as she twisted the digit back and forth into his skin, likely even bruising him there. The more he tried to deny his own words, the harder the pressure became, until he finally admitted to something she was sure she had heard. With her small victory, she would nod and release him, returning to her own seat again. ''Kyaaaaaaa~... it's so amusing to see such a man squirm. Yer' much more child-like than I 'magined you'd be, ya know?''

Having 'won' that conversation, as if it were an impromptu contest, Kokoro sat upon her high chair, setting her bare elbows on the table and leaning her chin on the top of her bottle. She watched as at first an empty bowl was placed in front of her, before various ingredients began to be dumped within as the chef finished preparing them behind the counter. Steam rose from the hot pot and carried with it a strong but cozy scent. Combined with the overpowering musk of her own alcohol, the two combined into an even more powerful essence, of which Kokoro could not tell whether it would be good or bad from smell alone. So it may not have been ramen, but still it was one of many common dishes the woman had already tried alongside her drinks. She would have to believe in Azure's word that there was something special about this vendor's food.

''Hoh...? Iramasha Island... is in the spirit place. I know 'f it.'' She looked up at nothing in particular and poked the corner of her lips in thought. Her mind was fuzzy and blurry and it was difficult to recall any of the information she had come across about the place in question. Her attempts to concentrate only managed to come up with hot air, sending a dull throb through her head if she tried too hard. So instead, her mind ventured onto a different thread of conversation when the headache became too bothersome. ''Y'know I never could quite get it. Like -hic- ...like how these alien realms came to be so similar to us humans. Apparently, they even served the same kinds of foods I could get riiiiiiiight here in my home city. You'd imagine somethin' strange and out of this world instead...''

By the time the woman's rant had finished, the last piece of meat had plopped into her bowl with a tame splash, a complete meal before her. She would smile and clap her hands together twice. ''Ahhh well... Itadakimasu~'' A minor show of etiquette from the drunken woman, before she picked up her utensils and began to eat... or attempt to. From the moment she picked up her chopsticks, one could tell by a look that she wasn't quite holding them properly. When she tried to pick up her food from the bowl, it would fumble out from between the two utensils a few times before she managed to catch something in her grasp. She drew a small cluster of noodles inches from her mouth only to have them slip off as well, and unfortunately not over the bowl. The damp udon would splat down her shirt and fall into her lap, causing Kokoro to jump out of her seat with a yelp of surprise.

The woman would blush at the embarrassing scene if her face wasn't already shaded red from her intoxication. Trying to make the best of the situation, she would use her fingers this time to pick the noodles out from her shirt, and bring them to her lips to slurp up into her mouth. It was definitely a mockery of human decorum, but it was a solution nonetheless. The rest would simply fall to the ground as she stood up slightly. ''Oops... I... I'm a little drunk... hehe...''
