”..I never thought i’d be able to come here..”
Animum’s voice was colored with disbelief as she had landed lightly inside one of the four main gates to the soul society. Her eyes shifting to take in the sights. Such as how the place looked more modern, almost like karakura did in the 21st century rather than how it did today. That made her perk her brow, even though she hadn’t been gone for more then 2 years, it seemed like so much had happened since then, so much had changed and the state of the soul society seemed to be for the worst rather than for the better, and yet as she walked down the street she had a sense of nostalgia that she couldn’t shake, walking over to one of the tree’s that was planted on the exterior of the street she would gently touch it. more like she would have allowed herself to caress the wood, feeling the rough texture her expression softening.
The vice captain of squad 7 had smiled as this was the first time she had been back in a long time, long enough atleast that without someone's help she would certainly get lost in the maze of back-streets and dead ends, even though her sense of direction usually could be reliable, the thing was the soul society itself was just MASSIVE, so many different places a person could go, and so many ways she could get to where she wanted to go, that was the problem, so many ways to not go where you wanted to go at the same time, so many ways she could possibly get lost, the kicker? Was she never had paid attention to the location of things, and now it was coming back to bite her quite literally in the ass, so as she huffed she walked up to the nearest shinigami that she could find and said slowly.
”..Hello, i am animum desponde, the new vice captain of squad 7, i was wondering if you could give me directions to the internal affairs building, as you see i am.. well.. quite lost. “
After she had gotten directions and said her thanks, the vice captain of squad 7 had began to make her way in the general direction of the internal affairs division, soaking up the sights, and filing away unique things she could so choose to use preferably as landmarks until such a time as she actually found herself able to navigate on her own in this infernal place they called the soul society, or at least that is what she thought after she got lost for the 9th time on her way to the internal affairs division, and eventually? She got sick of it, there was no better way to explain why she did was she chose to do after that moment, stamping her foot in exasperation.
What she had done was spread her red and blue wings, flapping upwards above the buildings with strong strokes, pulling higher and higher until eventually she had what could be considered the ideal “birds eye view of the gotei 13.” Her eyes taking in the different districts looking and looking until she finally found it, and tucking in her wings? She had launched downwards passing the threshold into the land considered to be a part of the 7th division and her eyes would light up lightly as she landed and looked around, adjusting her lieutenant's badge the choker which she wore proudly on her neck with a customized version of the badge that most of the vice-captains carried and gave them authority.
Finally she gave up being quiet and polite and mumbled something about barbarians getting killed by suffocation in the pile of papers they probably had neglected to do the night before, her eyebrows raising and she’d shake her head in obvious exasperation at the notion that on her first day here she wasn’t going to get any greeting at all. So she’d say as she stamped her foot on the ground, once, twice, and then one more time for good measure, and then ? She’d let out a huff and sit down on the ground now REFUSING to move unless someone game and greeted her like those in the squad, especially the members should be rushing up to meet her.
’..Where is everyone, come and greet ur vice captain. “
