ITAMI
Itami wondered, as he sat the cool stone porch, if Karakura Town could even have a slums. He looked at the sterling domes in the distance, the skyways and walkways, and the busy people that streamed down the sidewalk with arrogant disinterest.
If one word could suffice; it would surely be chaos. Almost instinctively his teeth ground together and his visible eye scowled. It was like looking at a painting with no direction, no inner inspiration to go on. It was just a mess of strokes that was expected to beautified.
It was a good thing no body bothered him because lately everything ticked him the fuck off. He knew what went on with himself, from the tightly balled fist that rested on the cool porch, to the tense coil of his body as he watched with anticipation.
Every movement made by everyone seemed to make him inwardly cringe. There was a time when he wondered why, now he simply accepted the erratic movements. The accident gave his mind amnesia but his body couldn't forget his past; however murky it may be.
Itami had heard people talking about moving forwards. But anyone that said it casually had never had to overcome any actual walls. That was his opinion. He let out a sigh around the same time an elderly lady was making her way out the small commercial building he had been loitering on. She mumbled an "excuse me" and he shifted his body away from her. As he watched her leave in her vehicle, Itami felt himself grow impatient.

| Kaida Axworthy |
"Spittin' fire like a tongue twisted dragon."
Kaida Axworthy wore about seven different hats during typically routine day for her. First, she was the orphaned child. Then the prodigy, after the Shinigami, then the reliable Lieutenant, next the Vizard, the weakling, and now... Now she stood as a Colonel of a division she cherished with every speck of her being. She loved the little runts at the Spec Ops department despite their sheer idiocy sometimes. Could be considered cute even!
...Until they managed up prison cells and release highly volatile people into the world.
That's another story for another day. She isn't if she's happy- if she ever was happy in the entirety of her life. Kaedae took care of her, sure, but Kaedae wasn't her mother. And it wasn't the old woman's fault. She did the best she could with a kid crawling out from one of the roughest districts inside the Rukongai.
Pushing these thoughts aside, Kai remembered why she was swiveling between mobs of people at the moment. One of her interns told her to go down into the inner crevices of Karakura and just experience the people surrounding. Within her gigai form, she could simply...melt under the afternoon sunlight. A gentle breeze stirred the hair gracing her temple.
A boy tugging at his brother's sleeve caught her attention for a matter of seconds. Seconds is all it took for her to run shoulder first into the man in her path. Had she been looking forward she would have noticed him moving to allow elderly pass him by. What was done, was done. Kaida lifted her head then offered a sheepish grin.
"I guess I had one too many, eh?" A lie. She didn't even smell remotely like alcohol.

Yorokobi
Yori was getting prepared for his first day at school since the accident. His brother resided on the porch outside their apartment building. He was quite excited to be meeting new people , although the company of his brother was all he had ever known. Everything before the previous year was a blur . He stilled could picture the semi truck sweeping him and his brother off there feet, the screams of innocent bystanders as they watched in horror. The thoughts still gave him nightmares . He twinged as he looked over his robotic arm. It reminded him that he wasn’t
quite human anymore. He constantly wondered why the hospital decided to use him as a test subject. Was it because he had no way of objecting or was it because his parents wouldn’t care? After all how could they when they died so long ago.
Yori decided it may be best to shower off his trouble . Hot water always seemed to soothe an aching heart. After spending an excessive hour running up the water bill he emerged from the bathroom and new man. Once again he was eager to attend Kakura High. He wished his brother could be just as excited but it seemed such things were not possible. After getting dressed he decided breakfast could wait. As Yori stepped out on the cement porch , an older woman crossed path with Itami. The look on his older brother’s face was one of malice. Yori decided it may be best to say something before Itami got out of hand.
“I’m ready Itami. Hope you plan on attending school today as well.”

ITAMI
Itami had shrugged the encounter with the woman off rather easily, though the only cig in his pocket hadn't been so lucky. He felt the soft bend and almost instantly, even as she spoke, dug inside to check on it. His assumptions were right and the scowl that crunched his brows only entrenched the raged that coursed inside.
As he took a step towards the woman, venomous words were building in his mouth. However, just as he they slipped out Yoro's voice slid in between, releasing the tension with a punctuated effort. It was obvious that he had timed it just so on purpose. Itami rigidly froze in his confrontation before glancing towards his red-haired sibling. The disdain on his face remained.
"Yea, I'm going."
He turned back to the girl with pure, unfiltered dislike. She looked like an adult to him and that only reinforced his already concrete loathing of the aged species. His voice was quiet but hardened as he passed by her.
"Watch where you're going next time. If you can't handle your liquor try being sober... dumbass. This is why adults are fucking idiots. Look at her talking about "I guess I had one too many." Bitch should've just staid home. Come on, Yoro."
