Merry GEM-Mas, Lydia Venes!

Artist: Andy Warner - Song: Warm Days* - Word Count: 449
Lydia stepped gently onto the snow covered lawn outside the Yayjuu headquarters. Today was gonna be great. She could feel it. The legend of the blue-haired Angel Iramasha who handed out presents in the form of Gems was one she followed dutifully! Today... was Gem-Mas! The name could use a bit of work, but still! It was a holiday she absolutely adored. Apparently, in the olden days, it was a jolly fat man with a jet powered sleigh... whatever that was. He flew around the world doin' all kinds a crazy shit. Well, anyway, Lydia marched dutifully to the outside of the Yayjuu headquarters.
Clearing the snow off of the only bench outside the front gate, she sat herself down atop her GHOST backpack. She wasn't entirely sure how this stuff worked, but she definitely knew that soon, the blue-haired Angel would appear, leaving magic gems and magic cheer. Cirno-Claus was coming to town! Probably, if Iramasha were even permitted anywhere near the Yayjuu base. She wasn't entirely certain how strong of an ally the Yayjuu were with them. Perhaps she shouldn't have set up outside the Yayjuu base?
Well, at any rate, she didn't really live here, she kinda lived at Nix Residence, but she figured Cirno wouldn't mind not having to travel the extra distance, so here she sat, in the blistering cold as the snow fell lightly around her. Donned all up in scarves, coats, and, to be honest, pajama pants, Lydia sat shivering on the bench. Around her, the world was intensified by the brightness of the snow. It gave a contrast that Lydia wasn't entirely used to seeing, though she'd been in Karakura since she was born. Well, as a child she never really had a reason to go out in the snow. She was always more focused with her work (which is to say, not getting belittled or made fun of).
Obviously, using her mature adult mind, she knew Cirno Iramasha was not some figure of lore and legend who did things like that, but it was always nice to entertain the thought that maybe, just maybe, she might just be! Lydia smiled, her teeth clattering together despite the warm feeling she now held within. It wasn't likely Cirno herself could read minds or anything, so the likelihood of her knowing exactly what Lydia would want or need in a gem was... well... low. But something within her... something childish and innocent still spurred her to belief. She closed her eyes for a moment, swaying back and forth in an utterly childish manner, trying desperately to hold back her excitement. She couldn't shake the feeling that whatever was to happen would happen soon. Then, it happened.
