Breathe in the Re-Living

With fast movements, the young Shinigami struck her target again and again. The training dummy taking slight bludgeoning damage from the shinai kendo sword she used. The strong bamboo shaking from the power of her strikes but her firm grasp keeping it straight as she backed up after each combo. She let out a soft exhale to steady herself and let some of her exhaustion out before breathing in and continuing with her strikes before stepping back and repeating. Her body was tense to move precisely. She had been gone for so long that the woman had lost herself. Her skills had dulled much more below than normal, but her mind had not. Thus, training was absolutely needed for her to gain back what she previously had. To think she used to be the division twelve's third seat. Now she was an outlier that needed to find its place. Her body feeling hot from the build up of kinetic energy and friction of her body against the fabric of her traditional wear. After a moment of such, she glanced around her area to observe if anyone was around.
To be entirely honest with herself, division twelve was made up of a bunch of introverts and nerds. Not that Aiyoku believed she wasn't such but she sure as hell wasn't as bad as anyone else within the walls who seemed to not ever have a good time. Enjoying one's self is an experience that numbers and science can't teach and thus why she lives the way she had before her accident. None the less, with no one around, she began pealing away her outer wear. The uniform slowly falling off her being and revealing a pair of simple black shorts which hugged at her hips and rear with a black tanktop which came to just above her belly-button, hugging her figure and accenting a bit of her curving petite form. She didn't really care if anyone saw her dressed in such a way when training. It was more the fact of someone seeing her training in her uniform, just for it to be taken off. None the less, she was fine for the time being and enjoyed the soft caress of wind which danced over her revealed flesh, causing chills of delight to dance through the being. Eventually she let out a sigh and folded up her uniform, placing it to the side before preparing herself once more.
Battle was like dancing, to Aiyoku. One had to find their rhythm and know that getting up-close and personal with another wasn't always too dangerous. If anything, it gave a slight advantage opportunity. None the less, she needed to get back to her usual state of battle and gain back her former grace. Slowly she took her stance, bringing her left leg behind her, lightly bending at the knees as she let her body relax. Her eyes closing as she let music begin to fill her mind, reminding her of a light tempo which battle normally took place. Soon she'd press off her toes towards the dummy, doing her small flurry of attacks before jumping back and re-positioning, prepared once more. She then turned away from the dummy in order to strike at the space around her, since she had to remind herself the feeling of not actually hitting her target. Her eyes falling shut once more as she turned herself so the dummy was to her left and began striking at the air calmly. Her movements slow and fluid as she moved before feeling herself hit something. Slightly startled by the light tap against something or someone, she opened her eyes to glance upon the being before her. With a light panic she backed up and bowed her head. Her long strands of cyan locks shifting with her as they weren't tied up for a change while she trained."I-I'm so sorry!"

To think I'm back here again.. But why here, and why now….?
Walking calmly down the hallway of the Twelfth Division barracks, a man who also was a former member of this division slowly came a stop, looking up at the sign post hanging above it. "...for some reason… I feel like my job here… just isn't done yet." He slowly let out, reaching a hand up to his mouth as he removed the cigarette that was nested between his teeth, releasing a breath of smoke into the air as he slowly relaxed.
Placing the lucifer back where it had come from, Kyu moved with brisk strides, his eyes looking from left to right. What are you even looking for…? The nagging voice in the back of his mind, from his days as a Sueki, questioned him. I don't even know what I'm looking for… perhaps purpose…? Hmm… why was I even here to begin with…
Kyu's thoughts slowly turned back to his own time as a vice-captain of this squad. While Kyu's abilities were nearly on par with a captain's themselves, he had chosen to be a vice. This was primarily because of the fact that he was in the unit itself because of the former captain, Crystal. But she was gone now, and Kyu had found himself… lost. ...Do I feel unfulfilled? Full of regrets? Of things that might have been? The man continued to question himself, before the 'Drive' in his mind suddenly became very awake. ...hey… look…
Paying it a fraction of heed more than he would normally, Kyu slowly inclined his head towards the wall, looking past it… to see a woman slowly climbing out of her clothes. Slowly, he shifted his gaze away from the wall he had been looking through, looking forwards once again as he now simply began to pace around the barracks. Oh come on… it has been… literally… like six forevers… since we did ANYTHING fun! That voice inside of him insisted, causing Kyu to bite down on his cigarette, crushing it before spitting it out of his mouth.
"I know… it has…" The truth of the matter was, Kyu did not know how much longer he could go without satisfying his old addictions. While he could fight them much longer as a Shinigami, he could never rid himself of the cravings. Recently, he had been trying to find other ways to ignore them, to avoid them… but they were only stalling. While in the middle of his thought, he had stepped out onto the practice field itself… before feeling the air moving towards him.
His tie itself shifted, hardening as the tie's material changed to an iron like substance, being caught in his hand as he caught the blow with the backside of the blade, avoiding the possibility of damaging something as he felt the tap against it. Coming to his senses, he looked down, seeing the same woman again. ...Hey, she's hitting on us. That impulse in the corner of his mind chuckled, though Kyu himself did not allow for any emotion to bleed out into his expression, looking down at her as he simply breathed.
"The fault is mine for walking onto this field." He told her directly, almost coldly, as if it were just another fact of life. "…" His eyes slowly shifted from her, examining the training area, as well as the dummy she had been attacking. ...initiative… from a twelfth squad member…? Kyu wondered to himself, thinking about the day he had left, his words hotly being let out that he would not follow a man like Tsubasa.
"...Sorry for interrupting your training…" The apology was curt, although sincere. While he wore a suit-jacket instead of a haori, it was still possible to make out the indent on his shoulder where his vice captain plaque used to be. "What are you training for?" He asked a bit more suddenly, his gaze turning back to her as his eyes slowly widened. If she had been paying attention to his mouth, she may have noticed the peculiar fangs that tipped out, the elongated canines that poked out a bit from the norm. Another interesting fact was the… smell that he was letting off. It was as if he was wearing some kind of vanilla cologne, though it was not overpowering.
Kyu decided to wait on this girl's answer, slowly weighing something in his mind. ...Fine, we'll interact with her… until something better comes along… or if something better comes along…
...That's the spirit, Kyu… kukuku…

The man's tone was rather matter-of-fact, as was normal for members of division twelve. Was he one? Her gaze shifting to look over the man, taking in his appearance as as stepped back to give the man some personal space. Slowly she bowed her head as a sign of respect and emphasize her apology once more before standing straight once more. Her petite yet curvy frame relaxing as she gave the man a kind smile. Something was off about him. While most in the division were straight to the point, this man seemed rather... Dead. In a manner of speaking. She just didn't have any ounce of emotion coming from his form, which caused the woman to just begin examining him more for some sort of life. However, it didn't take her long to realize she had been staring. The man's words we kind enough to put her at ease, but something caught her eyes. Extended canines? Rather sharp looking, as well. The woman couldn't help but nod as her way of accepting his apology and waited for him to speak again. Upon him doing so, she confirmed she had not been just seeing things when it came to his canines. The man, indeed, had sharpened fangs. How on earth was that possible? Last time she had seen anyone of the sort, they were bounts. So what was this man? He didn't have the readings of a bount, nor the body language. She merely began thinking through the situation before her before shaking her head to click back to reality and speak.
"O-Oh! Well... I have been in a coma within division four for a few years now... I've grown horridly weak... To think I used to be third seat here. Now I barely have a name for myself. I need to regain the loss muscle that I had as well as regain my reflexes. Stamina. Speed. I need to work hard to gain who I was." The woman said as she brought her delicate fingertips from her left hand up to her face and stroked stray strands of hair out of her face, revealing better the smooth fair complexion and playful expressions of her face. Her bright eyes glancing away from the man for a moment before back up at him. She had gotten herself comfortable very quickly with the new person after striking them. Which, to say the least, wasn't all that shocking. Before her disappearance, Aiyoku had been known as a forward and outgoing individual, a lively breath of fresh air to the division twelve. However, since she had been gone, there was no true idea as to what had happened to her beloved division. After a moment, the woman slipped right back into her thoughts as she bit her bottom lip before turning away from the man and walking towards the striking dummy once more. Each long stride she took was accent by a playful sway of her body. She couldn't help these things. She was raised to have these movements as reflex and no way was she stopping them for they only brought entertainment and laughter to the woman in all her years. She stopped her movements before turning back to the man with a slightly shocked expression, as something finally clicked. Her body seeming to tense before easing and bowing rather quickly before bringing her right hand up to give a playful and apologetic wave.
"O-Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't introduce myself! I'm Ai. Aiyoku Benzene. Pleasure to meet you!" The woman said with a warm smile. Her eyes glistening with delight. She always did enjoy getting to meet and know new individuals. She could easily be seen as a scattered woman when she was confronted with multiple things she could have been doing. Now she had the options of training or getting to know this new individual. Such a choice was rather upsetting for her but she didn't want it to get her down too badly and eventually decided a bit of both would have been great and very much needed at this point. But how to go about it? That was the true question. Seduction? Flirtation? Innocence? Straight forward? The options filled her mind before finally deciding that all of the above would probably bring the most life out of the male, if possible. This was a challenge, in itself, which she wasn't likely to back down from. Her smile remaining unwavering before she spoke again to the man with a more harmonic tone to her voice, showing the life she still gladly kept within her being, even after sleeping for so long.[b]"So what brought you to the twelfth division~?"

Kyu could not help but notice her staring at his teeth. Without changing his tone or outward attention, his lips slowly curved up in a smile, instinctually showing her more of them as he blinked at her. "No need to be so surprised…" The words left his lips as he slowly took out another cigarette, putting it into his lips as he heard her speak. However, he stopped from lighting it, looking into her eyes.
Coma. Third Seat. The two words entered into the database around his skull, and soon he was given the result. There were two names, two profiles, though one of them was a man. Therefore, the other one… was this girl. Kyu looked the file over in his mind, mulling over the information while listening to her speak. "...not bad. Not bad at all." His words continued as he looked into her face, his eyes staring unperturbed into her own until she broke the concentration, turning back and walking over to the dummy.
Watching her sashay her way back over to the dummy, Kyu took note of her determination. ...I like her spirit. He felt the thought come unbidden in that tiny portion of his mind that kept him who he was, though the thought did not show on his face. The tiny smile was gone once again, before seeing her turning around again and waving at him as she introduced herself. "...Bampaia. Bampaia Ketsuki. You can just call me 'Kyu', though." He explained to her as his finger reached up, slowly lighting his cigarette once more as it rolled over to the right side of his mouth , tucked under that fang of his. Depending on how well she knew her Japanese, or English… it would not take long for her to realize that Ketsuki meant vampire and that Bampaia was the romanization of the same word.
Walking out towards the practice dummies as well, the man slowly placed his blade back to his throat, the form of the tie being reassumed as his hands slid into his pockets. "...I was dragged into it, forcibly, by a woman named Crystal. She was the prior Captain… before Tsubasa regained his old position." He shared the information with her, before casually leaning against one of the other dummies, looking up ta the sky as he continued to speak. "She was my comrade. Now… she's gone, and he is back. I was the Vice Captain… but I couldn't tolerate Tsubasa. So now I'm just… a veteran, I suppose. I watch out… for the newer members… and try to make sure none of them get in over their heads."
With that offering of information, his arms would cross in front of his body, the cigarette slowly disintegrating as bits of it fell from his mouth. "… So… you do have determination then…" He expressed, before slowly lifting up his arm, a single finger pointing up as it changed… his finger seperating into molecules as the nanomachines began to crawl back into his hand, leaving only a stump where his finger used to be.
"Then… let me make you a little offer… I'll help you get stronger, using that determination of yours… and in exchange… you bring a bit of spice to this existence I have fallen into." He told her, his eyes widening slightly as the cigarette in his mouth burst into flames, drinking it up completely as the nanomachines in his body broke them down into carbon and other chemicals.
"A couple of those… nanomachines... inside of your body… hooked up to your muscles… will cause them to accelerate in growth. However… It will be extraordinarily painful for the time that you are training... due to 'how' muscle tissues grow. That is what your 'determination' will prove. Do you want to return… to the squad once again… and make it a shining star..?" He asked her, talking the most he had that day as he tilted his head up to the sky, before leaning it down again as he stared right into her eyes. He was hoping for a favorable reply, though at this point he was not that invested in the idea. To him, it was like a game… a game that he believed could provide him with some entertainment and purpose, at least for a little while...
