Just a Dime a Dozen Ways to Start Conflicts [Open]
Tue Nov 03, 2015 11:57 pm
A new test of power for the Human. Or rather, training of her powers. Action for the woman has been rather scarce lately, and she's been getting quite antsy. Everyone in the Vanguard that she trained with were either too weak or far too powerful to allow her to learn anything of use, which put her in an odd spot with no one to truly learn from. If she could learn from no one, then she might as well learn from herself. This rather simple thought process led to her taking a trip to the Karakura forests, not too far in, but just enough to not be interrupted by most normal people wandering by. Logs were posted up all over a rather large clearing that allowed her to run about and use her abilities freely. This woman was left standing in the middle of about 20 scattered logs. Each foot deep log was lodged deep into the ground so it shouldn't be all too easy to knock it right out and make the point of this rather useless. Fingers slipped through her gauntlets, covering her knuckles and the rest of her fists safely as she took a fighting stance, feet set squarely upon the ground shoulder-width apart.
With a burst of speed, the woman was already gone from her initial starting point, dashing as quickly as she could. Just at her base speed, she seemed to almost be a blur, definitely much faster than any normal human. Step after step, grass crushed underfoot, fists cocked back, she was ready to try something out. The first log she was faced with was met with a kick, Elysia skidding along the ground due to her speed as she brought one leg up, bent outwards with the sole of her boots aiming towards the center. As she neared it, a powerful kick was sent outwards, slamming against the middle of the large piece of wood and sending cracks all through it's form. With her foot already against something, she kicked off of it, body spinning rather quickly around to a log very close, momentum used along with the spin as her fist was sent swinging from the side in a hook.
The metal gauntlet slammed against the next training post she set up, fist digging an inch deep into the log as cracks rippled along through it, piece of barks falling off from the force as Elysia was stopped rather early in her spree. She planned on doing quite a bit of acrobatics... Or at least a beginner's attempt at them. Spinning from log to log, snapping them and sending cracks all through their form, but instead, she was already stopped by her fist getting stuck. A few sharp tugs led to nothing as she seemed rather annoyed at the moment. Another set of sharp tugs later as she was just about ready to just tear off the chunk of wood that had her stuck... After a few more moments, that was just what she planned to do. A shout escaped past her lips, free hand clenching into a fist as her riatsu flared outwards, actually able to be sensed rather easily. "Awaken Spark!" With the words uttered, electricity began to course throughout her body and even her gauntlets.
With a fist cocked back, loud sparks of electricity began to arc into the wood ineffectively, but the sounds would attract anyone nearby. Elysia wasn't trying ot exactly shock the wood, but more-so trying to empower her punches. Each landing roughly into the bark as bolts slammed against the bark, singing it and even tearing off a few chunks as this process continued until a nice giant hole was made with her hands finally freed. A small smile forming upon her lips at her success, despite it being a rather minor success when compared to what she had to deal with on a nearly daily basis. Progress was being made at least, progress that she had some self-pride for.

"...Voi.."
A content voice slowly let out, its owner laying softly in the grass of the forest floor. Having just woken up slowly from a nap that he had spent out in the beauty of nature, Moonie Iramasha gazed up at the sky with a smile. "Voooi…" He let out, almost a yawn like sound as his arms and legs slowly stretched. Everything was quiet… everything was peaceful…
That was, until a shock of pure force echoed through the ground. Moonie's body shook as he slowly began to sit up, his mane of blonde hair trailing behind him as he slowly rubbed one eye. "Voi, who's making that racket…" He let out, before blinking wider as more impacts rang through the ground. Generally, such waves of force could not be picked up. However, for a man of the sensitivities that this Golden Retriever had, it was no problem at all. Turning his face to the side, he rapidly gathered info on the situation of the woman that was in his sight.
Reaching a hand upwards, as he was behind the log she was attacking with her spark, he slowly stood up, coming into view at last as he reached out his right hand, a wave of pure Gravity flowing outwards and gripping at her arm, placing the center of its gravity as Moonie's palm, causing it to race towards him as it smashed firmly into his palm. "Voi…" He let out calmly, as if that was just another wake up, yawning loudly in front of her face before blinking, tilting shi head at her. "This is pretty pitiful, voi." He let out, before turning over the hand he had caught, withdrawing his own as he showed her his palm, a completely deadpan expression on his face.
"Your punches have the right formula.. The stance, the assault, the purpose. It's all there… but voi, it's missing something. And that would be its future." He slowly explained to her, stepping in front of her log as he smirked, finding this amusing as he brought up the same hand he had caught her blow with, his fingers bending to reveal his knuckles, as he gazed back at the wood… and a look of a demon infected his expression. His mouth curled downwards, his eyes filled with venom and hate, and his teeth clenched as the muscles tightened all around his right arm, before he knocked his wrist backwards.
The log snapped in half, a wave of pure force echoing outwards as it rumbled around the trees, the devastated log falling to the ground, looking as if it had been hit with a miniature meteorite. Turning his head back to her, Moonie looked right at her eyes. "Voi. You are supposed to attack an opponent. Not nature. How are you supposed to improve if you aren't fighting with damaged form? That is not the art of combat. That is sport. If you plan to attack someone with those fists of yours, then practice hitting a living person who can grab you and smash you directly back. Those experiences are what will truly fuel your attacks." Moonie explained to her, before widening his arms with a smirk, rapping his right hand against his chest, an expression of pure joy on his face as her surprise instructor gave her a command .

Something just stopped Elysia's fist, something she didn't even notice whilst setting up any of the logs. A palm. A palm that seemed to just catch a metal gauntlet sent flying at full force? Her eyes widened at the sudden appearance of this odd character, Moonie. This being just seemed a little bit out of place, at least in her own eyes. Despite this random stranger popping up out of seemingly nowhere, they did seem fairly strong. Strength was something she always admired, but also feared, what also brought a bit of fear into her mind was the fact that it felt like her fist just jerked towards his palm rather than it's intended path of to the log. Slowly, her eyes narrowed towards this man... Could it be called a man? Something didn't feel right about him, but as to what it was, she had absolutely no clue.
Before she could even say anything, she was interrupted with a yawn of all things. Her punch didn't even do anything to him if he looks so groggy and tired still! Lips became pursed at the proclamation of her attack being 'pitiful', striking a bad note with her. Still, her pride was subdued for just a moment longer. She didn't know enough to really say that he's wrong or not, and Kamui definitely taught her the dangers of just rushing in blindly with hands going places that she'd really rather never went to again. What was -he- doing out here in forests that usually hid quite a few dangers? He wasn't training if he looked like he just woke up a few moments ago, so was he confident enough to just sleep wherever? Questions flew about in her mind before her attention was caught with him starting to speak further.
Her eyes stared at his palm since it was offered out, curious as to why he was so willing to start explaining things such as how to strike to her? Sure, her method was completely self taught in order for basic survival, so this would be very beneficial... And the compliments to what she did get right boosted up her ego a bit more, so why not give him a good listen? Poise, stance, assault, all of it was good... But it was missing it's future? Perhaps there was something to learn here, considering that this simply left her confused. How can a punch have a future to it? Punches can have emotions, force, momentum, and even powers behind them, but a future? It was a concept she didn't quite get.
Even if she didn't understand it, Moonie's power was soon revealed to her. A single step taken back as a deep breath was taken, eyes staring at the log that was just utterly decimated by a single hit from this odd man. It was fairly possible that she might have gotten herself mixed up with someone who could destroy her easily but... Hey, she's been in that scenario about twice now, how bad will a third time be? Sadly for her, she didn't quite notice the utter hatred and violence within his being as the log was shown who was the top dog around here... But what she did notice was his willingness to train her it seemed, or at least, give her some good practice. He was starting to make more and more sense now, a sparring partner was always better then just simple posts, though his strength still worried her. Most people who got punched felt pain, but this guy? She was at least 80% sure that he was going to be fine, so there was no reason to really hold back.
"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! NO NEED TO KEEP YELLING, BETTER CLENCH THOSE TEETH!" A rather haughty chuckle escaped past Elysia's lips, she always found some weird masochistic pleasure in fights like these, especially with how it contradicted her past. It was her time to shine now, and all she needed was a good start up. She figured if she even wanted him to feel like she hit him, her powers would need to be going at full blast. A quick hop backwards led to her gaining some distance, kicking off the ground to land a couple of feet away before fists were slammed against one another. "Awaken Spark!" Electricity surged throughout her body, riatsu once again flaring outwards in a rather explosive manner.
Her body remained motionless for a good few moments, electricity arcing through her hair, causing it to stand up rather comically as she prepared herself. Not a moment later, her voice echoed out once more to reveal a little bit about what she planned on doing. "Bullet Shot!" One moment she was there, the next she was seemingly gone. A blur was all that was seen coming towards Moonie from just a good few feet away, dashing forwards at speeds that Elysia personally thought were great... But it was becoming more and more obvious with the more people she met, they could move faster. She hoped that this one couldn't move faster like all the others. If she was able to land her attack, she would end up standing directly in front of the Iramasha, looking as if she had stopped mid-sprint with her fist slammed against his chest. Electricity shot out from her fist at the same time of impact, momentum adding unto the force behind it as the pressure exerted unto him was definitely enough to break the bones of a normal person... But not everyone is normal anymore. This was only a best cause scenario, hoping that the attack landed to at least knock him back, or even just make him flinch.

The confusion on her face amused the Moon Iramasha. After all, that small piece of confusion is what Moonie would be using to build his entire 'lesson' with this woman on. Hearing her fighting spirit, Moonie finally began to wake up, his eyes widening as he beheld the woman in front of him beginning to prepare her attack. The wind around him seemed to pick up as she roared back him, causing his eyes to widen completely as he laughed, yelling right back at her. "CAHAHAHA! THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE WRONG!"
As confusing as that statement was, it was completely true as Moonie felt her spirit charging towards him, even as she prepared her attack. As her hair began to stand up on end, a peculiar phenomenon would occur… Moonie's hair also began to rise up. The sheer mass of strands of hair that left from the top of his head were picked up by the excessive amount of electricity that was now present in the area, causing it to stand on end. Plus, Moonie's own Gravity was flowing through it, in order to mimic hers, letting his full hair do rise up into the air.
"Well… that's a lot faster than I can go, anyway." His voice told her honestly as her fist impacted into his body, his head leaning back as his mouth dropped, his fingertips beginning to shake. Her fist would feel as if it had come into contact with solid concrete, and in this moment it would become obvious to her, perhaps, about what Moonie had said. While the electricity shot through, his chest remained firm, a dark brown spot appearing even as the edge of his garment slowly began to smoke, before his head slowly began to slide forwards.
|
With those two words, Moonie's forehead would bare down on Elysia… before trying to smash directly into her. Now, this was not a full-powered, crust-shattering Moon Destroyer. This was one designed simply to 'wake her up', the way she had just done for Moonie. To get her blood pumping. The force that impacted her noggin, or even her body if she was still within ten feet of Moonie's body, would drag her entirely downwards by her head, likely smashing her firmly into the ground. The force from the impact would cause it to be pushed back in a radial form, creating a crater beneath Moonie's feet as he looked down at her, a smile on his face as he slowly squeezed his fingers, checking his circulation as he slowly rotated his neck.
"Voi, that woke me up." He informed her, before slowly kneeling down if she was in the crater in front of him. "Did you visualize my chest breaking, shattering?" He inquired of her, before slowly laying out the hand he had used to obliterate the log, revealing tiny traces of blood along his knuckles. "That is what I mean by 'future'. Voi, cause and effect. You have to know what your blow will do to your target. Even if it breaks your arm or your ribs to do it, you have to force your 'reality' to occur. You have to FORCE your opponent to break. After all, if you don't put that pressure onto them, how will they show you their true power?"
Moonie inquired of her, before slowly turning his back to her, his right arm raising up. Drawing his elbow and shoulder straight in a horizontal line, Moonie slowly uncurled his pinkie finger. This digit stood proudly at the end of his hand, its muscles taught, his calloused flesh rigid. "This is my finger. You have to break it. You have felt my chest. You have to breakthis." He explained to her, before looking upwards, slowly leaning his head back down as he looked her in the eyes.
"Voi… fine, I'll show you.. A technique of Moon Style. WATCH, WITH ALL YOUR SENSES." He informed her, his left foot pressing backwards into the ground, smashing into it as his body leaned forwards, his right foot reaching out as it smashed into the ground, his weight smashing into the ground as he brought his left shoulder back while pulling his right arm forwards, his fist reaching out as he applied torque to his entire arm using the muscles along its length, his fist shaking as he suddenly gripped onto his elbow and downwards, still pressing with intense strength as the words left his lips.
|
The outporing wave of force cascaded to Moonie's left, tearing forwards as it smashed into the nearest tree, meeting intense reistance as the tree began to fall back, its roots ripped out by their seems as it smashed into the forest floor. Moonie then slowly drew his body back together, holding his arm out once again as his pinkie resumed its former position.
"Voi… now… Improve your own style… using what you've seen of mine developed over millenia…! And shatter this finger of mine, BREAK IT THROUGH!" With that final demand, Moonie would only wait, that smile still on his expression as he stared at her, his chest still smoking slightly from her last attack...

Was luckily able to slam her fist against his chest, all of her force and energy exerted out against Moonie as... The impact ended up making her hands ache with a dull pain of hitting something absolutely solid. Metal gauntlets only did oh so much against something that felt like even a tank couldn't mow through. It was honestly a little bit scary to her and rather offsetting... But before she could even react, she was just able to barely see Moonie's head move backwards to prepare itself. It didn't take a genius to understand what was about to happen next, and how much it would hurt. Her body did it's best to prepare itself for the most likely painful strike against her as best as it could, tensing up as muscles clenched.
Moon Destroyer. Something that she'd have to remember considering how much it just ruined her whole idea of being able to do something worthwhile. The impact of his forehead against her own head easily brought her straight down to the ground, ripping her off of her feet as she got a face-full of dirt. It hurt, a -lot-. She could at least feel that he held back a bit, but damn, that still hurt really bad... Imagine if he actually went full strength, she could very well be dead right where she stood. Slowly, she began to push herself into a standing position once more, hands pressing against the ground to begin lifting up her body as she stared upwards to see Moonie once more, towering over her. Words were spoken once again, teaching her further of what she needed to know.
One thing that did surprise her the most was that he was actually bleeding. She already formed this mental vision of him being extremely powerful, so how could attacking a single log be enough to harm him so? Maybe he really put enough energy into the blow to hurt himself with it. It may seem stupid but... She admired that type of strength and determination. Willing to harm one's self to get their goal done. The future of her attack, visualizing the results. It was something she'd have to keep in mind, to remember for later usage. Pressure. Something to force through the enemy's defense. Simple enough-
And then her next task came through... Break his finger. A rather unamused look came over her face for a few moments as she stared straight up at the finger shown to her. She had to break that... Well, to be fair, she barely did anything to his chest, so this might actually prove to be a fairly useful challenge for her to attempt. The woman soon found herself standing tall, staring straight at him as she began to prepare herself for an attempt before being interrupted by his words once more. His own way of fighting? He'd be willing to show her in person what it was possible of? It was a great idea to her, a smirk coming across fairly soft lips as the idea of learning more attacks to use in the future would most likely lead to her survival.
What she just witness however... Was... Something she didn't think she could ever learn. With her style of fighting, something like that just wouldn't fly. That was a pure display of strength backed by how stalwart one can stand. Her style usually involved great amounts of movements and mobility, hell, the first thing he showed off would be much easier to copy, just a headbutt with force applied. The tree was just ripped right out of the ground and forced to fall over, roots exposed and everything for crying out loud! But for now... She had to focus on the finger, something a bit more possible for her rather than tearing through trees and such. This finger was something she'd have to break...
The one booster to her confidence was that his chest was still smoking, showing that her strike had done something. So how should she break his pinky? He revealed to her that he can't move as fast as her, so she shouldn't expect Kamui levels of shenanigans... At most, she'd have to expect that pinky to be made out of diamonds for all she cared about. Fingers slowly curled to form fists as she took a step back. She doesn't have that much strength, so momentum would be needed. The woman found herself taking a few hops back to make some room between the two of them, standing at about 30 yards away before she figured this was a good enough place to attempt her strike. Her riatsu was flaring outwards once more as she got into position, similar to a sprinters now as she was nearly kneeling on the ground. Crouched as one leg was far behind her, another bent and ready to launch her off the ground. One hand kept her steady as the other was cocked back, bolts of electricity seen surrounding the fist. "DON'T MOVE A MUSCLE! I GOT THIS, BULLET SHOT!" With the words echoed out, her body became a blur once more, shooting out from her starting place. Stray leaves were sent flying in all directions once she shot forwards, dirt with some grass still attached even kicked upwards as she zoomed forwards towards Moonie. Each step was quick, feet propelling her faster and faster forwards with a fist cocked back. She had one shot, and if this messed up... Welllll, that headache she was trying to ignore might get worse with another headbutt. So instead of getting another headbutt, all she needed to do was hit the bone hard enough to shatter it or at least break it a little within it's fleshy confines. Something simple enoguh to visualize and even imagine happening.
The metal gauntlet slammed against the Pinky if Moonie stood completely still. Metal against bone, momentum from a dash hard to follow normally backing it up as she took another step forwards, trying to force her way -through- the pinky as bolts of electricity shot into the finger. Right foot forwards, right shoulder bumping Moonie's chest, right fist slamming hard against the finger. To a completely normal person, that finger and hand would probably be shattered with this amount of force... But people who can just tear through trees don't exactly have the physique of normal people, now do they?
