Lying Low In Karakura [OPEN]

Odd. That’s how Himeko felt right now as she entered the human realm via a tear in the night sky. It had been a little over a century since she last graced any realm besides Hueco Mundo with her presence. A century since she was in the realm of the shinigami, a century since she faked her death within the human realm, and a century since she cut all ties to the outside world in favour of playing dead. Showing up in the last realm she ventured into before she holed herself up in Hueco Mundo presented her with a sense of nostalgia that she quickly destroyed. She refused to think of the past right now. Maybe later, when she wasn’t scoping out the realm for a purpose privy to only her.

“Hm. Not much has changed.”

She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair as the garganta closed behind her with a groan, cutting off her only way to return to Hueco Mundo. She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath, noting how foreign and cold the air felt to her lungs. It would take some getting use to, but nothing Himeko couldn’t manage. She stuffed her hands into the pockets of her green jacket as her eyes opened only to look at the moon that loomed above her. Her gaze would linger on the large space rock that kept a lot of things on Earth in check. It was beautiful and would be a great shame if anything was to happen to it, though she needn’t worry about someone deciding to reduce it to dust. There were too many people who would hate to see it go, her included.

She smiled and closed her eyes before she made her descent to the town below. It was quiet, though that wasn’t much of a surprise. Anyone who lived amongst the remnants of Karakura Town knew to be indoors after dark unless they wanted to be bothered. It was, of course, a well known fact that criminals were more active at night and Himeko had no doubt that that rang true for Karakura Town. It may be close to Karakura Central, and that place was a secured fortress, but it was a town pretty much forgotten by all.

Her eyes opened the moment her feet touched the ground. She cocked her head to the left as she took a moment to observe her surroundings. She sighed again and shook her head. It seemed Karakura Town was quieter than she expected it to be. Either everyone decided to stay inside today or there was some super secret meeting taking place, but regardless of the reason she wanted someone to show up. She was here to have fun whilst lying low. With how long its been since her last visit and how much she been working, Himeko believed she deserved that much.
