A SIMPLE, BROKEN SOUL

AZURE IRAMASHA
壊れた魂

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 626

The cold winter day flew by as icy air spread throughout the created world of Karakura's grand festival. Azure, as per the usual, seemed to be wrapped up in a scarf and tight clothing. A thick jacket covering his upper body only seemed to bleed into the dark black pants that stretched downward. He was without chill, surprisingly. The clothing he wore was far from the natural winter get up that most people wore, but it wasn't just himself that wore clothing like this. Others that could keep themselves warm would do so, Azure only did so by vibrating the air around him. The molecules moved quickly, bouncing back and forth as the air heated to natural room temperatures. It was convenient, but lazy. Letting a soft yawn escape his lips, the broken man watched the world around him as he strolled.

Streaks of blue, white, orange and red ran through the leaves and daylight, the sky only shining brightly against the bright sun. The festival only seemed to grow in size as the man walked the streets of the newly reopened festival city. It was an area that had been created before, but removed after each festival is concluded. The festival itself usually lasted a few months to incorporate both the winter and fall time. This however, was Azure's first time attending the festival. As the now leader of the Vanguard, he thought it was due time that he were to come, despite his current state. With that being said, the man lazed around the area, constantly playing tricks on himself as he and Husk bickered back and forth.

"You don't ever shut up, do you?"

Azure's voice was low as he came to the fringes of a nearby park, his eyes jerking from left to write as he spoke. It was weird for a man to speak to himself, let alone have a response. The Husk was something many knew nothing of, only few had seen or came into contact with his idiocy. It was saddening to the male, but with his broken innards there was nothing he could truly do about it. it was one of his very reasons to come to the festival, to try to mend what seemed to be forever broken to him.

Why would I ever shut up? I get to finally talk and all you can do is bitch about it? What an idiot, shut up man. I like having freedom. I don't need your ass fucking it over.

Annoying. Azure felt nothing but annoyance for the asshat that resided in his skull. Taking that into consideration, Azure flopped against a nearby oak bench, watching as the children ran around with their parents. A small, frozen pond seemed to be frozen fully through, allowing them to slide around however they wished. It was a joyous thing to watch, such happiness being made in memories that these kids would never forget. The smile that wrapped along Azure's lips was short lived as the Husk spoke up once more, ruining the moment entirely.

They all look so stupid running around like that, hahaehahaha.

As usual, the man had nothing important to say. The day seemed to only drag on from there on out, Azure and The Husk waiting for whoever may happen by. Sliding his hands through the thick, woven pockets of his jacket, the Hybrid Iramasha smiled once more, trying to let the warmth of the sun ease his pains. The bandages that previously sat against his skin were now removed, however, the scarring against the right side of his face and his entire right hand hadn't disappeared. Hopefully, whoever did happen to stop by, wouldn't be too agitated from his appearance. It's something he'd have to deal with for quite some time, given his current state.

It was finally time. This atrocious date which James abhorred.

The Festival.

Honestly, it wasn't so much the festival itself he abhorred as the sheer amount of people that would be attending. He of course, was here on business. Otherwise, he couldn't be bothered to even attempt. Azure Iramasha, or so his network informed him, would be here today. James decided, of course, it was finally time to catch up with this man.

James, having been completely caught off guard by the war they were evidently in, even rushed to go support Azure in the fight. Now, he had some serious questions.

As the Lord of Whispers, he could often be found at public events, under the spotlight, and even on cameras discussing things which Azure couldn't be bothered to. However, in this case, he was stopped and questioned about a war which he knew nothing about, making himself look royally stupid on television. Not that he cared, it was only one time... but the fact that Azure went running off to war while James was in a medically induced coma appalled him. Upset him. James was not a person to easily be upset. He was not so short-tempered that every little thing had his blood at a boil, but this... this was out of line.

Perhaps it mainly because James saw Azure as a man after his own heart. Perhaps it was because somewhere, somehow, he looked up to his ideals. James was not one to so easily make friends, but Azure had become something approaching one. The Vanguard Leader was someone James looked up to, and it was in fact the very reason he remained "protecting the earth". James didn't give a rat's ass about people, but the thought of peace was a sentiment which he enjoyed. What could make this man do such a thing after telling him personally that war was not the only way?

Then, he saw him. Or at least someone who registered as him. His body language was completely different, his posture was off, a closer look proved scars down his entire right side, whether burn marks or actual physical scars... Signs of battle. Difficult battle. No doubt from Iceland. James himself would have scars, if he didn't have his intensive healing pod at his lab. Hell, James might have even died.

Approaching the man, eyes weary from battle and constant social interaction, he reached a hand out to place on the man's shoulder. "Was it worth it in the end," He half-whispered, a slight rasping in his voice from the pain he had suffered in combat. Though his pod could heal scars, it couldn't heal the hoarseness in his voice he suffered from screaming in agony. They were both broken.

"Azure Iramasha?"

Artist:Crush 40 - Song:Escape from the City - Word Count:908 --

The recently returning Vanguard operative darted over the rooftops, traversing one artificial structure to the next. It was hard to believe half this place was some computer-generated fallacy that didn't entirely exist in the city. Guess that is why they called it the Imaginary District though! Never-the-less, it made a great space for free-running, darting through the sky and leaping great distances in a single motion. Over the course of his travels the man had the opportunity to look over most of the festival below, seeing thousands out and about for the event in various locations around Karakura. It was nice to see everyone in a more positive environment after the more grim reality of the war mot-long since past.

Dellapero appeared like a blur to most, moving in directions almost randomly with no clear idea of where it wanted to go or a pattern to its motion. Eventually the adrenaline-junky found himself closer to the park, gradually getting close to the ground and rebounding off smaller structures as time went on. He then lightly stepped over the multiple trees that now resonated with various colors in the changing season, moving from one branch to the next. The cold and ice used to especially bother him years ago. They made it more difficult to get around so sporadically without incident. Over the recent years he had adjusted to that problem and conquered it though. Bits of spiritual energy trailed behind him with each jump, making a series of shapes and effects in the air as he moved to make things look even more fancy. It also helped keep him grounded when stepping on the ever-present ice.

A midst the park, Dellapero caught sight of one he didn't expect to see out in public. Not only due to their reputation of not coming to the festivities often, but after the damages they incurred in Iceland. In an instant his pathless run was redirected, a single push off one of the tallest trees in the park putting him right where he wanted to be in the next moment. The man landed a few feet away from Azure and James, his usual friendly expression across his face. It didn't take him long to immediately address the both of them with the utmost spirit. Where there were many things to look down on after the war's results and the countless lives lost during the event, this was an event to forget about all that for a day and enjoy things.

"Azure, how you holding up!? You don't usually come out that often during the event. Glad to see you out and about for once though. Enjoying the festival so far?" It was clear even at first glance that something was still off about Azure since the events at Iceland, but that just made it all the more important to push away from the tragedies that took place there and moving on for now. After his sudden and unrestrained greeting to the head of the Vanguard, Grance shifted his glance to James, continuing to speak almost instantaneously from the former phrase without pause. Even after everything he was still filled with energy.

"Hey..uh..I know who you are, I just forgot!..Something with a J..Jimmy? Close enough, going with that. Hey Jim, things going alright with you too? You seem a bit tense. Should try relaxing a little more. It is a festival after all!" It wasn't that he didn't recognize James from his position, just that Dellapero never fully memorized the higher ranking figures in the Vanguard save the most popular among them. Being the lord of Whispers, that was probably the last thing James wanted to be. It didn't coincide well for sneaking around and all the other things he assumed went into the job. The Human stretched his arms, still winding down from the adrenaline rush and energy built up from his periodic runs. He continued to get back in the swing of staying still while waiting for their retorts, casting a glance to the activities taking place around them every few seconds now that he had more time to look over things in detail, rather than watching the entire city in quick frames of motion.

A LOST SOUL FINDING NOTHING

ALESSIA RHYZHAKOV
The Broken Follows

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 626

It was ambivalence that created strife, people couldn't understand the ideals that contorted to form peace ...peace at all costs. Her eyes stare downwards never truly meeting with the gaze that stare, she was broken inside and the tears that dripped slowly down her face hidden behind that oddly colored hair showed this girl was afraid. However she unlike most wasn't afraid for Azure, afraid of what he may become ... she was afraid what she had become.

The girl didn't seek salvation for Azure, the eyes of her never stopped staring at the mans back watching strive forward, and never stopped longing to see him turn back to see her ... even if it was only once. He hands trembled as she follow him through this place, everyone celebrated and continued with festivities that she couldn't find the joy in. They lived and survived for today but they were cold, standing in an abyss that was inescapable. No matter how much that claw a the dirt they couldn't climb out ... they only could go deeper ... so deep that they may just lose themselves, and that's why Azure couldn't find the joy and hope he once felt ... he was almost to far gone. Bu he would not let him go there alone.

Alessia was never apart of the Vanguard, her interest didn't lay with them but rather azure alone. The man had saved her from what she was becoming. The girls hand leaned out, she felt alone all the time and she could never escape her thoughts. Though he helped quell them a little, her hand touched against his skin, soft fingers trailing across them as she held firmly onto his hand gripping it as she tried to lean in with the man and let him know she wasn't going to leave him, that she was afraid but she allowed herself to find him and hopefully he could find her .... but this was just a dream.

Her hand flung back as his words came forth, her head dropping from his sight as she locked her arms together whispering in a small tone to him broken and scared, tears now truly breaking down her face in full motion. Every single word slipping from her tongue was caught as she tried to speak, the girl doubted her words and herself and thus it showed.

"i...i'm..i'm sorry...i..d..didn't mean to."

Dropping back the girl couldn't find her stride feeling useless to the one person she cared about more than any other, and in her mind he didn't even see her. She watched as he came to rest on the bench taking a seat beside the man but keeping a distance between them allowing him to focus on his inner thoughts, her own eyes scanning around them until they found cause, seeing the site of the lord of whispers approach, his very ill fated way of acting like he saw what was within Azure hurt her, her whimpering trembling lip son pursed into a frown, her brow furrowed as he pressure exerted into the air around them increasing the pressure of the very air itself upon the man known as James, around his knee joint he'd feel the lever of pressure increasing and increasing almost to the point of snapping them like twigs as she looked upon him yelling at the man.

"He did what he needed to for all of you!... he tried, and no-one dare help him! ... he could've... he could've died and you question him!"

Her voice was contorted with anger and tears of sadness cracking under the girls feelings, she was losing herself trying to find him, and it was likely she never would. But at this moment the pressure ceased with a simple though a single moment taking it away as she realized her faults. She didn't want to hurt anybody, she just lost temperament with someone striking at him, the heart wants what it wants, even if its left longing for it.

Her eyes dropped in shame from the men around her, she could feel the approaching energy before it even came close, her arms just wrapping round herself as she circled into a small ball, the liquid running down her face as she seemed to murmur apologies under her breath repeatedly. her eyes looked to Azure knowing this was his time alone to face these continued rising presences all with question for him, he had asked her here joining him on his walk yet the leader never faltered.... she was the company for a man who was all to alone, despite so many people being around him. So needless to say when this new man started speaking to the two compatriots that where James and Azure, Alessia simply stayed her tongue and remained quiet only giving brief glimpses to those above, whispering only one small sentence to the man on the bench beside her.

"I can leave if you want?"

A SIMPLE, BROKEN SOUL

AZURE IRAMASHA
壊れた魂

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 963

Azure was tired, the world around him felt as if it were a pile of grey. An endless sea of emptiness that only began to spread further and further within his own being. The festival itself was cheerful, it brought a small smile to the man's face, but it didn't prove any bit helpful to the repairing of his being. How surprising, huh? Hands buried within his pockets, the Iramasha took his time taking in his surroundings. Alessia sat nearby, her words being quiet and tamed as per the usual. Previously she had thought Azure was talking to her, telling her to remain quiet. Whether he said he was or not wasn't going to mean anything, the girl would stay. It was alright, for the time being. She would be fine.

A soft sigh escaped the man's lips as he looked ahead, a hood masking a large portion of his black, white tipped hair. Husk giggled at the sight of people having fun and being happy. It only furthered to point out the depressive state that the Iramasha was in. He enjoyed it more than anything to see a great man fall to his knees so easily.

Hehehehehe. Why are you even bothering being here in the open, idiot? No one wanted you to come around. You're wasting your time doing all of this press bull shit. You're taking your time and putting it towards something worthless. Not that yourself is any better in that case~

Always taking his time to make things absolute hell for the Vanguard Leader, it had been nothing but constant battering from The Husk. Over, over and over the snapped portion of his soul only meant harm towards him. It was more of a take take take relationship, given his parasitic nature.

Nevertheless, however, it seemed that people would recolonize Azure more often than not. Quite a few people that had gone and enjoyed themselves during the festival gathered around the young man, giving out both praise and worry for the state his body and face was in. It was a kind gesture that most of the beings gave towards their Infamous Leader, but there was one that stood out rather easily. One that seemed to set off a ticking time bomb within the agitated and broken man's very mind.

A rough hand was placed against his shoulder, a jolt forming within his nervous system as he released an exuberant amount of spiritual pressure, his body beginning to radiate pure electricity from the force he exerted to the air. It was a reaction, his body reacting in order to protect him from whoever had placed a hand upon him. On further inspection, however, Azure had realized it was one of his own, James Caldwell. So, as he figured out said fact his energy subsided, his eyes reverting back to forward as he spoke.

Words, they cut deep, a feeling that cannot be described. Azure's ears wished to close as James spoke to him, the words that he spoke were filled with nothing but cold tones and harshness. It was a sense of despair that came from the boy, but it was one that seemed... uncalled for. James didn't understand what had truly happened at Iceland, none of the Vanguard members would. But that didn't matter to him, not anymore at least. What was done was done, there was no choice in the matter. Everyone was of fault, not just Azure Iramasha.

A small sigh released from the man's throat, along with a raspy cough. The broken man looked over his shoulder for a split moment before speaking.

"If you're here to prove some type of point, you probably need to be gone sometime relatively soon."

Azure was cold, empty inside as he spoke to the young Vanguard member. His spiritually pressure outweighed both Alessia's effects and the area around them, completely putting the area under lockdown in terms of abilities. No one would be acting like an idiot while he was around, he had already dealt with it for far too long. One man can only be nice for so long, no matter the circumstances.

"I'm the leader of the Vanguard for a reason. If you do not stand with me, then you do not stand with the Vanguard. With that, comes your leave. It's a simple decision. Make it."

The words hang in the air as if suspended by chains, the world around them echoing his anger as another spiritual energy entered the area relatively quickly. Tch, someone that Azure knew he wouldn't have to worry about was now on the scene, someone who technically has given himself fully to the man. Dellapero. There weren't many Unknown within the Vanguard at the current moment, and most knew nothing of them. In records they're simply considered "Members Of The Vanguard". They hold no real power, but that was the real point of them. Sleepers, ones that would come to attention when Azure and his forces needed to take a step forward.

The Man's hand stretched to the girl beside him, grasping at her shirt sleeve as his teeth clenched rather hard against each other. The surfaces of his jaw starting to strain as he listened to Dell speak.

"Sadly, at this point Dell, I'm not enjoying myself. Not, that it's your or anyone's fault."

Jaw loosening, Azure let out yet another sigh as he looked to his feet, the ground slowly becoming sticky with white snowflakes all around.

"Things seem a bit hard these days, don't they?"

A smile crept upon the male's face, but not one of happiness. Somber feelings following the smile, his eyes shifting to an empty state as he spent his time on the bench within Karakura. A Festival of happiness wasn't much of anything to the Hybrid Iramasha. He couldn't help such a fact from being true.

Artist: Hanstone - Song: Eternal (Mabinogi Login Theme, Choir ver.) - Word Count: roundabouts a thousand

Glaring at the imbecile before him, James was almost appalled by the stupidity some people could possess. Jimmy? Firstly, James was a superior ranking officer. Regardless of his particular branch, it seemed like common sense that he would at least remember the name of someone who was literally the first seat in any branch. He was almost disappointed that such rabble could even be admitted into the Vanguard in the first place. Despite this, they were indeed united under a common goal. James would stay his temper.

"Child, my name is James William Caldwell. You would be wise to remember it. Respect your superior officers and such. Besides that, I am here as a politician. No need to raise suspicions." He said, reading the boy's microexpressions that showed merely concern. It would appear he truly was simply a fool. At any rate, shortly after that, the pressure around his knees began to raise, and he could only imagine the source being that small girl whom he had never seen before. She wasn't particularly registering as Vanguard, causing James to begin to cast a wind manifesto to eliminate her as a threat. Attacking a high-ranking official in open ground was foolish, even if she was stronger than him.

Then, almost as if to call him off, Azure himself released a wave of spiritual pressure which, though powerful, did not particularly seem malicious. It simply gave a "no-nonsense" sort of vibe-- the sort which James appreciated. He supposed this meant that the girl before him was an ally of a sort... but it seemed everyone here save Azure and James were fools.

As Azure spoke to James for the first time in quite a few months, he couldn't help but feel a tad nostalgic of the man. Though something in him seemed drastically wrong, from his microexpressions revealing strong distress, he had an aura of sameness to the Azure James was familiar with.
"If you're here to prove some type of point, you probably need to be gone sometime relatively soon." He said, James sighing internally at what the man was implying. James was almost certain Azure knew that was not an option for him.

"Of course not, Azure. It was foolish of me to question your actions without first realizing your reasoning." James looked at the girl, then at the other one. Dell? Like an ancient computer? What a stupid name, given his apparent lack of intelligence. It only made sense he would try to force his stupidity on others. Soon people would be naming their children Abacus, and Pick-up-Sticks.

James couldn't agree ore with Azure's last statement, again seeing that strong distress on his face as he smiled. It was a pitiful thing. James considered Azure to be one of the few competent people in this world, and yet here he stood, broken and lost. James took it back. The man before him was not Azure... This was something like a shell... a husk of a man. Clearly something happened more than James anticipated initially. Compassion was not his strong suit however, so he would simply pause, turning back to face Azure and standing somewhat at attention.

"Azure, I'd like to know what really happened. Provided it's not classified information, that is. And you don't have to tell me now. For now, simply enjoy the festival. I doubt you'll get much of a chance to relax," He said, hinting at the group of increasingly annoying people currently surrounding the two broken men like vultures, their happiness eating away at what little of a carcass remained. James did not feel particularly emotionally inept-- no more so than usual, in fact. The shattering of his soul came in the form of the creeping madness that slowly overthrew even his consciousness in that battle against Stefan. Even now, it was still hard to differentiate any of these people from an enemy... hence his almost attacking the red-haired girl moments ago. "But that doesn't mean we can't all just have something approaching a good time."

With that, James smiled. It was a hollow smile, much like Azure's, but far less... foreboding than he. James' smile was that of uncertainty. He had always had some measure of control over himself, and the battle in Iceland only proved to make him somewhat insecure. Would he soon begin attacking allies indiscriminately? Despite his attitude to the people of earth, he still enjoyed his job more than anything... If that were compromised...

James sat on a park bench, looking over the group of people that stood before him. The one whom Azure called "Dell" was so disparate from James and Azure that he even began to question how such a person could even come into existence... The girl, however, from her body language, word choice, and actions appeared to be either extremely possessive but introverted and thus not entitled, or simply a pitiful girl holding desperately to a broken man. Either outlook was not good in her case. James closed his eyes and sighed.

"But, you never told me this... If I had known, Carine..."

"I know, that's why I didn't tell you..."

His mind flicked back to Carine. When he had found her, she was the same... So despite his initial response to her, his guard toward her dropped significantly. If Carine could become as strong and confident as she is today, there was hope for this woman too. Though, from her soul decay, Carine was still a good hundred years worth of experience ahead of her. James would simply reach to place a hand on the top of her head, and rest it there gently.

"There is no need for apology, miss. I was in the wrong. I'm sorry if my actions offended you." For a moment, James was unsure if he was sincere or not. A rare occurrence. Again he smiled, again filled with uncertainty.

Artist:Serge Tabachnikov - Song:The Duck Song ~GGRY Edition~ - Word Count:1240 --

Dellapero maintained a positive expression as he always tried to, though the nature of the things in this small collaboration was all too clear. Not just in the select few gathered before him, but in the entirety of the Vanguard itself. Tensions were high, hundreds filled with grief and despair after the events of the war in Iceland. Even in the ever-brightening event of the festival, the darkness of what transpired loomed over everyone like a thick coat. Despite his demeanor suggesting otherwise, the reality of things struck him deeply. It wasn't his first time being in this type of aftermath, far from it. Through his nine hundred years of life the deceptively young Human had been in well over ten wars in his life time. Ranging from the common squabbles of the Edo era to the more recent conflicts between Hell and Earth. The players continued to change, but the end result was always the same. There was nothing to be done about it at that point though, so despite the itching pain he had grown numb to, the Human looked toward the best of things when possible. Life was more enjoyable that way. Living with regrets was hardly living after all.

Though in the midst of the collection of doubts, there was some amusement to be found through agitation. In this instance, operative Jimmy. The very mention of that falsely interpreted memory had driven thoughts of a brief fury. He could feel it resonating from them nearly immediately after his comment. Though they had a fair point in their response, it wasn't one Grance followed. Ranks were relatively worthless to him, something that proved problematic in his earlier days in the Vanguard; and every former militia he had taken part in prior. Whatever negative connotations were brought about by this mattered little to him,. and on a whim he retorted as he always did. "Huh, really? You strike me more as a Jimmy, but if you say so! I'll try to remember, but I make no promises! Also, I'm pretty sure I'm at least triple your age, so don't know where you're getting the child thing from." Whether natural idiocy or sarcasm, it was hard to tell. It was probably a mix of both though. In the midst of the more dark tone set in the scene, it was a source of humor to mellow things out a little.

His eyes drifted between the trio as tensions spiked drastically. In only a matter of moments he could feel the former source of his light amusement and the sorrow-filled girl at Azure's side nearly at each-others throats. It even surprised him at how sudden the feeling was from them in only a matter of seconds. Fortunately nothing escalated from it, the Vanguard General's power spilling out in their circle and dousing any flames of serious conflict that were building. Maybe he should have expected things like this more often though. It hadn't been very long at all since the events conclusion. It wasn't fair to expect most to move on, especially the few that were burned away the most in the fire.

Dellapero sighed, hearing Azure's unfortunate, but expected response. If he didn't want to, the Unknown had a much closer look on the internal turmoil going on in the man's soul than most. They hadn't even known one another as long as many of the other soldiers that lined the ranks of the organization; yet still the unique connection between them opened up an entire gateway of information others could only attempt to interpret. The cracks in the Iramasha's psyche were deep, on a level that must have been like an ever-present torment. Even through that connection though, there were many things he too could only attempt to comprehend about the situation their leader experienced. But what he knew for sure is that the man was going through a pivotal moment in his existence, something it was best for him to conquer himself with the occasional support to ensure he never dwindled too far into the depths of madness.

"Yeah, I can imagine why. Things really have been a tad problematic lately. " Though wasn't that always the truth? Each generation faced its share of turmoil, and these recent events were the steps of chaos of this era. It never got any easier but there was hope in the definite of how things went.. No matter how dark the night, the sun always rises again in time. It was just a matter of surviving until it did.

"But so long as you stay true to yourself and your ambitions, things will work out in the end. Just have to keep moving forward without regrets! For today though, all of ya' should lighten up and try to relax and enjoy things while you can. Does the soul better to be content with the present than dwell on the past. Just need to keep a note of it to make sure things turn out better next time. " He tried to balance out a look of positivity with acknowledgement to the dim severity of the recently-passed battle. It was too recent to move on from for most, but somebody had to put some lighter spin on the otherwise dark subject matter. Low morale would only make things worse next time something like this happened..Especially if it were to occur soon in retaliation. His eyes glanced to the sky for a moment, pondering over what the near future may have in store. It was an unknown, something that could prove to be the perfect resolution to everything or the dawn of even more dire challenges. The only thing to do was push onward and get the best ending you could manage.

Dellapero looked down to Azure once more, continuing with what should have been an obvious reminder, but one worth noting in the damaged Iramasha's current state of divide. "And regardless how bad things get, ya' got a bunch of people to back you up when need be Azure, so don't worry about needing to do anything solo. "

A SIMPLE, BROKEN SOUL

AZURE IRAMASHA
壊れた魂

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 941

Foolish. There was no way around the word as a characteristic. Azure shared it, as did those in the Vanguard along his side. Foolishness was not bad, not even in the least bit. The foolishness that the Vanguard held was one for reckless abandon. They cared not for themselves but for those around them. Protecting the thousands upon thousands of people in Karakura on a daily basis, and even further along the world's surface. The Vanguard were a people that were driven not by their own goals, but a singular goal. Protection, one that Azure held near and dear to his heart.

This, is what made life so very difficult for the man. Dellaporo, James Caldwell and those that worked beneath him were a worry for him and his future. The protection of the world was his single priority throughout life, but as of now.. it seemed that those who attached themselves to the Organization have become a family of sorts. Respect and mutual affection was something that soldiers did not remove from their minds for the Vanguard. Even through the thick of terror, a comrade was indeed a comrade. They've chosen the life of giving their own for the betterment of a planet. This was something that Azure Iramasha could not be more grateful for, even through the disruptive state he may be in.

A heavy sigh escaped their leader's throat as he loosened his grip upon Alessia's clothing, taking a small look to the sky as his energy fully subsided. The air among them hung stagnant with sadness, an air that seemed to be forever lurking among Azure's location. He knew of the anger that came with this sadness, and the anger that James and the Vanguard would hold among their minds and hearts. It was not an anger towards Azure, nor his actions. It was an anger towards their confusion and haphazard protection of Iceland. The outcome did not matter to those within the Vanguard, the issue was truly that they had no idea what had transpired. Not correctly at least. Azure knew this and couldn't be upset with James, so why act as if he was?

Looking at the man a final time, he stood from the bench he had previously occupied, looking at both Alessia and Dell before staring off into the distance once more. The white streaks that had formed within his hair seemed to stick out like a sore thumb, the cold winter breeze catching them as if they were large strands of snow.

"It was not an invasion, that much can be said. The outcome, whether satisfactory or otherwise, does not matter. The words that people have spoken against me and us as a group, is wrong."

The empty eyes of the Hybrid Iramasha lingered for a prolonged period of time, his hands slowly clenching into fists as he recollected the thoughts and memories of what had transpired. They were not memories one would wish to contain, whether they thought themselves strong or otherwise. No one needed to see, or go through, what had occurred in the Capital City of Iceland. Neither side walked away unscathed, sadly.

"What matters, is I won't let it happen again. No one will stand among the rubble if it means my fellow men are being hurt. I won't allow the Vanguard to die as a people under my watch."

Cold words spread from the man's mind, pressing his point further as the anger in his voice only reverberated throughout the area. Powerful words from what was thought to be a powerful man, not in the least bit to Azure himself.

"My family will not be harmed because of the stupidity of an organization that finds ruling the world's countries is alright. Not again."

He was done, the words were finished as his fists became relaxed. A look of emptiness once again filled the man's face, an expression he couldn't remove too easily as of late. Hands placed inside the thick pockets of his business-like jacket only motioned to the three that he would be on his way from there on out.

Hilariously enough, there stood Dell. Spouting nonsense of joy and positivity, something that he was known for even through the toughest of times. Having one such as himself among the Unknown was far too helpful to Azure, something he would never forget really. He was something valuable to the Vanguard, whether those knew that or not. It was one of the downsides of being an Unknown, that's exactly what you were. Nameless among the faces of soldiers throughout the Vanguard's ranks. They weren't too important to the public eye, but to their leader they were far much more.

Nevertheless, Azure let a small chuckle escape for only a split second, his funny bone being hit by the man. He never ceased to amaze Azure, not even in the slightest.

"Well then. I'll be off to enjoy the festivities of the event. Would you two happen to wish to come along?"

The male motioned towards the fairground with his head as he watched Alessia scurry off, her time among the three had come to a close and she would be found at the Vanguard Headquarters later on. For now, though, it was up to both Dellaporo and James if they wished to take Azure up on this offer. He had to keep both himself and Husk in check somehow, so some type of game seemed to be the best bet, Eh?

Nothing you do is going to fix this, you know. An idiot like you is never gonna rid yourself of little ol' me. Where would the fun in that be? I'm here to stay, baby~
