The time in this thread is currently 3PM CST on November 5th, 2415. This thread takes place in a large park setting. There are tons of food cart stands, hundreds of thousands of people and there is a light snow falling. Along with that, there seems to be some sort of parade nearby and fire works slowly going off in the distance. Anyone can join this thread and make of it what they will. So, sit back and enjoy~

Zero liked festivals. She also liked fairs, the circus, theme parks, and above all else carnivals. With various activities, food, and people available to the general public, there were plenty of reasons for why people would folk to such places. So, it was no surprise that the brunette was present at the winter festival being hosted within Karakura Central, on the outskirts of the Imaginary District to be specific. She had arrived via her favourite method of travelling, the wind, donned in a black kimono. She could’ve went casual, of course, but she hardly ever had a reason to wear something so traditional and the festival just happened to be a good excuse though she sincerely didn’t need one. So, for one day she would forgo her school uniform and red scarf for the kimono, though she was missing the red piece of fabric already. She really liked her scarf, hardly ever removed it, and though she wish she had worn it today with the many activities the festival boasted, she would live.
After smoothing out any creases that may have appeared thanks to her method of travel, Zero headed straight for one of the vendors. She was on her own for the most part, her brothers dealing with after-school activities and her parents at work though they promised to meet her later on. She couldn’t convince Fenrir, her combat teacher, to tag along since he avoided large crowds like the plague and with the sheer amount of people coming every nook and cranny was going to have no less than five people or so he told her. She believed that to be just a bunch of nonsense he whipped up in order to avoid going with her, but she didn’t bother arguing with him - she did whine about what a party pooper he was though.
So, she was looking for someone to entertain her for the rest of the day or until her family showed up. Sure, she could entertain herself by playing every single game available, admire some trinkets, and consuming three times her body weight in food, but she would grow bored doing that - she knew that from experience. So, as she consumed the caramel cheesecake apple she had just purchased, she kept an eye out for a random person to be her victim.

Fireworks, crowds, cold, snow and festive joy; the holidays were coming in strong for this celebration of winter and peace. One could feel the positive vibes churning all about the landscape in every single direction. However, even among all this arctic thrill, there was still a frigid soul roaming among the hordes of jovial folks.
With the tapping of a cane echoing in the distance none too far from the schoolgirl, the owner and starter of this five year tradition slithered his way through the circles of endless people and made his way to a place to relax and bask in the sights. Hair as white as sleet, eyes as red as blood, skin as pale as an albino's and figure as slender as an anorexics waistline; this individual was peculiar in appearance indeed.
While all others seemed adorned in their best outfits, this guy couldn't be bothered to change into anything formal. White fur trimmed jacket, black shirt with vertical grey stripes, ashen jeans and smoke hued shoes were all he needed to bother with. In the exhaling of a cold sigh, the male leaned in on his mechanical cane and came to a pass he observed the crowds around for anything suspicious.
Almost everyone within range had been processed, scanned and deduced as a non-threat and legal citizen of Karakura Central. A few low hums echoed from the male during these short seconds of analytical might, but it was enough to mark this area as safe. Connected to the mother of all defenses within the city, this lone figure yielded immense examination skills through his augmented mind. And as such, he worked alongside a hive network of computers and machines; giving them commands and orders from his own mind in order to sort through and give all the clear on this region.
While this mechanical procedure took place, the ghost skinned male gave gradual taps to a black collar with electrodes extending into the back of his skull. Through this simple body gesture, one could potentially infer the male was on edge. And, given the world climate, rightfully so. Being considered among some to be the Leader of Japan, this person couldn't just sit around and take it easy when the world was two steps away from all out warfare.
It's why this festival was assorted to begin with: to serve as a distraction and relaxation method for the general population not to become too concerned with the events taking place outside of their walls. Sure, Karakura Central had the potential to withstand all out supernatural warfare, but general panic was not what one of this city's founders desired for people to live under.
It was suppose to be designed to be a place of security, shelter and peace from the terrors of the world. A world gone mad, destructive and outright frenzy with strife and conflict. While there are dark secrets that brew within the heart of this metropolis, they paled in comparison to the potential lurking outside its doors.
Hence -- why The Beast of Karakura stood ever prevalent and on the prowl for anything astray. Although, he was missing something from his own internal monologue of tensity and observation. The ingenuity of his mind was nearly second to none, but he seemed to miss one key clue: a simple girl in a kimono. For some reason, the brunette adolescent had been overlooked and not scanned for authentication. Perhaps it was his own mind being unnerved with stress, but it genuinely surprised him. And, for no reason than his own curiosity, did he then approach the girl and tap her on the shoulder from behind.
"Kid, you look a little lost. Just where you do belong?"
After uttering those gruff words out from the highschoolers backside, the male walked pass her side and emerged before the front of Zero with a doubtful and suspicious grimace cast over his face. Given the fact that Toki's body language inferred she was studying and over viewing the crowd through her constant eye movements, the male couldn't help but wonder if she was some sort of terrorist or spy. So, with another stare into her eyes, he'd utter these words:
"And why are you here?"

Zero was one lucky gal on this particular afternoon. It just wasn’t everyday when a potential playmate approached her, usually she had to find them and force an interaction between them, but it seemed like Lady Luck was smiling down at her. Though why she always sent her people who thought her to be lost was beyond the brunette, but she wouldn’t reject the gift.
Instead, her eyes drifted over to the white-haired man that any normal person would’ve recognized as the protector of Karakura, a smile on her face. He looked like an albino in her most humble opinion and so she mentally decided that he would be Mr. Albino even if he told her his name. She consumed the rest of her apple pretty quickly, wiping the crumbs from her fingers with a napkin before directing her attention to the albino’s question.
“I should be asking ya that question, mister. Ya look mighty suspicious with ya cane.”
She joked, pointing at the object for emphasis as she let out a giggle. It was clear the brunette was amused by the albino’s questions. Personally, Zero didn’t believe herself a suspicious person at all. She was pretty much a generic looking brunette with a signature scarf and an odd way of doing stuff, but that was about it. Maybe he simply asked those questions of her because he needed a reason to talk to her and if so, she’ll entertain him since it was only fair - he would be playing some games with her later on.
“Well, to answer ya questions, mister, I live in the city like most people. Really nice place, ya know, momma and papa like it very much. Can find just about anything there except an endless supply of interesting people like ya self, ya know?”
She interlocked her hands behind her back and tilted her head to the left as she continued to speak in a rather chirpy tone.
“And I’ve come to the festival to eat food, play games, and force my brothers to buy me trinkets. But all my family had something to do right now, so they be coming later on which leaves me all by myself for a good hour or two. So, I’m looking for a playmate and ya fit the bill perfectly, mister.”
She paused for a good second before quickly adding.
“Ya won’t decline a poor teens request for entertainment, well ya mister?”
