Upon swift winds of Curiosity (( Open//Jj ))
Fri Oct 30, 2015 11:05 pm
A swirl of dark feathers would dance in the area like a humanoid sized hurricane, as the dark feathers and air would be sucked into the center of the spiral, and suddenly it would die down. Gilded eyes would glance right, and then left. The sky had been painted in cooler colors, the blacks fading into deep hues of purple, which would slowly bleed into lilac. Pointed, mountains danced across the horizon as if painted on skillfully with steady hands. If she had been human, perhaps there would be a coldness that twinged with the air, and if inhaled would chill too the bone; this creature may have been female, and humanoid.. but she was far from human.
The creature would be a rather tall for a female, standing at five feet and seven inches, an hourglass shaped bodice would sway with her footsteps, as she’d tilt her head in curiosity. Adorned ontop of her head, had been horns; the pearly white horns would be curved slightly around her head, and stop just so they do not make a halo. As if mocking the biblical being, the creature even had long wings, tucked tightly against her back. Her golden eyes would be well alert, it would appear she had just escaped a fight. Adrenaline still flowing through her, as she’d move too inspect her new area.
The area had been blanketed with snow, and mist, the only thing reaching out of the mist had been rock formations. The woman would continue too move through out the new area, if any wind did make it through the rocky formations it would come as a high pitched whistle, pushing back her dark locks, along with the ends of her dress. Stopping, The creature... the Demoness, would stare too a building far in the distance. It seemed too be made too pull out of the rocks. She would stare too the area, and take a deep breath in.
The scent of new, everything in this world had been so exciting, new and beautiful.. she’d stand out in the center of the area, before plucking one of the dark feathers from her wings and with barely audible words, and a coy smile the feather would shift suddenly within her gloved palm. She would watch as it would elongate and the edge of it turn sharp and on the top would the feather would form a blue orb, the feather shifting into a wand type weapon. Standing there, she’d glance back and forth again, a different mist would enter the area as two children would skip out of it. The two little girls would move too stand before their Mistress. Well, atleast.. they appeared as two little girls. One had been slightly taller then the other, her hair long and a crown on her head. “Still with this form, Chrrybdis?” she’d look too the taller one who grinned.
“Girls have cuter clothes then boys.” the young girl’s voice, was clearly stating one thing, this was actually a young boy. Chrrybdis would wrap one of his long arms around his younger sister, who would move away from him too cling too River’s side. “This new place is scary...” her voice would be low, as she’d glance back and forth. River would look too her two eternal partners and sigh. The two had dark purple hair, and wings too match River’s own. Chryybdis would look around, sending an annoyed glance too his sister. “This place is dull, there is no one here.” “I like it River... it’s a world we’ve never seen.”
“All the mist, makes it look too much like home.” “There are no mountains in our world.” “Well.. the mist does I said.” The two would push back and forth and River would smile softly. “I am merely enjoying how far they advanced.” “Why do you care, human’s have never done anything for you.” Chrrybdis would sneer suddenly, turning too look at her; his dress would twirl too life in his spin and he’d point too her. “All the humans have ever done for you is get you killed...” Scyllia would speak up, still gripping too her side. “Death too something like me, isn’t like death too them.. “ The davana would speak softly, although she knew one thing. She had too stay away from the more populated areas, she can already smell the blood and corruption sinking off of the cities... it made her want too murder everything in sight, just so that corruption would not spread any farther.

I'm being serious here!
Captain of Squad Thirteen
~K~u~r~o~O~k~a~m~i~
"What's… that…"
A weak voice asked, its owner marching across the sands, his eyes looking upwards as he gently squinted, a pair of sunglasses forming smoothly along his face along with a small wisp of reiatsu, forming his gaze, his body slowly coming to a stop as he stood beneath the harsh sun, his eyes gazing upwards. "A building…? Here…? How strange…" The once energetic male let out listlessly, his body moving slowly forwards as the snow fell down onto his body. ...Can I feel it yet…? No… I cannot…
Moving forwards, the Captain of the Thirteenth Division embraced the area around his body with eyes, slowly closing them as the wind picked up, blowing at the strange black garment that he wore around his body. Where a usual white Captain's haori would be, this (young?) man had on a white cloak that covered around his entire body. Sitting at his throat was a silver mask, with holes for eyes, meant to be perched above the male's nose. Around his body beneath the cloak was the typical garments of a Shinigami, the black garments that they typically wore wrapped snug around his form. They were shielding him from the cold.
His footsteps began to move upwards, never once looking back. In fact, it was best that he did not look behind him. After all, following behind his body was a long trail of blood, which stained the bottom of his cloak, as if he had waded through a river of the crimson liquid. The blood had come from hollows. Even now, they dripped from the two sheathes he wore on his body. These sheathes were hidden beneath the cloak, in a very purposeful manner. This was a man who could have been the leader of Squad 2 if he had desired such a thing. Or have kept calm long enough.
Now that he was out of the Soul Society, out on his own, however, he found his mind wandering as it usually did when he escaped from civilizations. YOU FOOL! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? A voice shouted in his head, as Kuro's body slowly crouched, his teeth clenching as his mouth stretched, his hands pressing against his head from either side. The difference between the two of them was quite distinct. The one on the left was black as night itself, and it was much larger than a normal arm should be, with gigantic claw-like fingers at the end. His right arm was normal, color wise, but deep cuts could be seen along the underside of his wrist. ...I am doing my job…! I'm the one in charge of this body, you moron! His mind roared in response, a bit of the color fighting its way back into his cheeks as his arms fell back down to his sides, his face becoming resolute once more as he took another few steps forwards.
"What…?" His mouth let out, as his head turned to the side, his thoughts escaping his mind as he looked outwards at the edge of this peculiar formation he was climbing. ...New shadows…? Flying… across… the rock face…? He wondered, his eyes narrowing slightly as his own body leapt up into the air, connecting onto a plate of reishi. It was unlikely that he would be detected. After all, his entire body was covered in white the same as the ground, and he was not at this moment exerting any of his spiritual pressure at all. As for the shadows, well… that was thanks to the aid of his partner.
Hopping along the plates he had created, a small smile had lit onto the male's face as he thought about the two friends who walked with him (or hopped), wherever he went. The first was his Zanpakutō, Kuro no Inu. The spirit of his blade, it was imbued with the shadows themselves, and protected Kuro with the intensity of the animals that Kuro had fostered in life. The other was Piero, the insane clown who lived within his left arm and the star-shaped scar above his left eye. Continuing his leaping, he finally reached the building, before the plate he was on cracked, shattering appearing all throughout it as Kuro's body leapt forwards, his right hand reaching out as he clawed for the ledge.
No… not… Here…! He thought, as his left arm was thrown forwards, the length of his forearm lengthening immensely as the large talons emerged from the side of the building, tearing into its surface as the five claws laid squarely into the stone, Kuro's body bracing itself for impact as the arm fought with gravity. Kuro's body was dragged upwards and towards the rock face, and he made it, his body shooting upwards like a rocket… and then his foot caught on the stone edge.
His bodily rotation rapidly changed, his head being thrown forwards as his hair barely skimmed the stone of the building. His legs kept flying above his head as he finally smashed into the ground, his teeth gritting as he slammed with his lower body first, his legs hitting into the ground as his eyes widened immensely from the sudden pain in his lower extremities. His cloak was thrown up behind him, revealing the black haori underneath as his well as his twin blades. Making a full arc, the fabric fell down above his head, covering away his sight as he finally decided to just let go, his body falling back downwards as his arms splayed out, letting him just lay on the ground.
After a few seconds of laying like that, he slowly tilted his head back, the pain beginning to dim from his legs as he looked upwards. A lady with horns? Weird. Two little kids all the way up here? Weird. Lack of air conditioning? Weird. My legs absolutely killing me from doing something ridiculous. TOTALLY NORMAL! Piero reminded him as Kuro chuckled, before gently rotating his head on the stone to get a better look at them.
"Hello. I am Kuro Okami, Captain of Division Thirteen of the Gotei. Might I ask why you are in such a cold place? Also, are you a hollow? Because if so, that means I have to kill you." Kuro told her, though his tone of voice and his gaze both dulled slightly with the last few words, almost as if he were somewhere far away from here… then his facial expression returned once more, slowly shaking his head from side to side. "I don't… kill hollows… I purify them… I save them…" He muttered, looking up at the billowing clouds as they gently flowed along, not even thinking about the blood that had now stained the wall behind him…
...Nor… was he thinking about the other intruders who were slowly beginning to enter into the mountains… looking for the man who had slain their compatriots...
Sunshine gone now, gone forever...?

River would start too walk again, the short haired girl still clinging too the curvy woman’s side. The taller of the two siblings would stop, underneath his braided pig tails, his ears would twitch slightly, turning just in time too see something, no.. someone falling from almost the sky. Amusement would swim in purple eyes in his purple orbs, as he would jump up slightly; his wings fluttering a bit in the air and he would land infront of the man on the ground. Tilting his head, as the man stood up. Immediately the shorter haired sibling of the two- Scyllia, would hide her face in the side of River’s hip. Her own eyes looking too the curious new creature. River could feel her younger eternal partner, slowly grip into her dress. Scyllia had always been the uneasy one, she never traveled too far from the two, where as her brother, was obviously the more out going one.
Chryybdis would stare too the man, his hands resting on his own hips. “I am the mighty Articuno Espada!” Chrrbdis would grin. “I’ll rip out your heart and you’ll become a heartless.” “Chrry, i think you are confusing an entire race.” River would speak up at Chryybdis’ failed attempt too scare off the stranger, moving too see if the man was alright. She would pause and frown as he would speak his name suddenly, and state his position. She heard of the Gotei, all about shinigami’s. However, this was the first time in a very long time she had met one. She would look too him and look around.
“I am not a Hollow, I am a Davana.” she spoke calmly, and look too Chrrybdis who would instantly frown at her, crossing his arms. “He’s not dressed well enough for you too tell him the truth, I mean, look at that giant claw thing.” “Chryybdis, enough.” Her voice would be stern, and that of a leaders, and the younger child would go quiet. She’d feel a tugging on her dress, and she’d glance down too look too Scyllia. “I agree.... we shouldn’t trust him...let’s...kill him” she would whisper and look up with wide, almost innocent eyes. River would growl too them, “That is not our way, and you both know that.” They’d give a sigh at the same time, both rather bored... she’d clear her throat, and would walk too him, pushing Chryybdis behind her, and his arm would wrap around his sister’s shoulder, and the two would jump in the air away from the two, flapping their wings too keep them in the air.
“River Sage, it is an honor too finally meet a member for the Gotei thirteen.” she’d bow in respect. “I kill hollows, I’ll kill whoever threatens humanity.” “Or die trying...” the “sister” with a crown (or rather, the brother) would sneer with a snicker, and River would glance greatly annoyed by the comment, that only the trio would quiet fully understand. The smaller of the siblings would cover her mouth as she’d watch curiously. Looking too her footsteps in the snow, she’d pause. “I didn’t realize it was cold.” she added calmly. She’d pause and would start too walk around him, one could say she had been sizing him up... in a certain way, she was. She was trying too find out if he had been harmed or not.
“It is good too see you are unharmed.”
The dark wings would relax slightly, she didn’t have too worry about dying if he was going too only kill hollows. “Those two are my eternal Partner.” she would continue, with a soft and friendly smile growing on her face. “The rude gentelmen, is Chrrybdis, and his sister is Scyllia.” she’d point too the two. Chryybdis would stick out his tongue. “Nyyaaaa-” as he would tug on the skin around his face. Scyllia however, would stare too him, with a blank expression on her face.
“If it is rather cold up here, why are you here?”

I'm being serious here!
Captain of Squad Thirteen
~K~u~r~o~O~k~a~m~i~
"…" Upon the hearing of the word Espada, the left arm on his body shifted, shrinking rapidly as the arm bent behind him, a pistol forming in his hand with its barrel pointed directly at Chryybdis' head, directly between his eyes. All the light left his own as he pointed that pistol at the young boy, before hearing the woman's voice saying that the male was confused. He held the pistol still, making no qualms that he would shoot if the boy tried to move.
"Da… nava…?" He asked her, his body slowly rising from its position on the ground as he assumed a sitting position, his arm still warped to pointing at the boy, despite his arm being almost entirely bent behind his body. "Dressed… well…" He repeated, his gaze softening slightly as his mouth became a concave downwards line on his face, his expression troubled as he at last lowered the gun, releasing his mental hold on his arm as it fell down limply to his side. However, upon the other girl's words, he merely tilted his head. "Sorry, that might be kind of hard." He told her as his shadow slowly stretched forwards, peculiar white lines appearing inside the space that was the shadow of his head, eyes and a mouth opening and widening as his shadow's arms defied the rest of his body, laughing madly between Kuro and the woman and her two children.
River's words, however, made it stop, the smile slowly shifting into a frown, the arms of his shadow crossing in front of its body, just making it look peculiar now due to being trapped in the second dimension. "River… Sage…" He repeated her words, reflecting on them as he rolled the words around, his head gently gyrating back and forth before seeing her bow, his eyes widening. Oh crap she bowed… While his thought process was a lot more shouting and rampant than that, this was what it basically came down to. His right arm pressed into the ground, his feet shooting up as he performed a micro Hoho, a 'shwup' sound echoing from his body as he vanished for an instant, before reappearing with his back straight, a smile on his face as his face could now be clearly seen.
Inclining his head downwards, he gave the woman a bow in return, answering her gesture the way he had been taught to. When his head moved back up, however, his face was puzzled, his eyes examining her with scrutiny. "You kill hollows? That's wrong." He told her, slowly drawing out his right blade as he held it up to the sky, looking at his kodachi as it glinted in the light. "...Hollows are supposed to be purified… most of them were attacked by other hollows… and have no choice in what they do… that's why… we're supposed to purify them… not kill them." He explained, his arm dropping as the blade returned fluidly to its sheathe with mastered grace. The Zanpakutō was what he had wanted to show her, the Shinigami's tool for performing Konso, as well as purification.
...I don't… even know what to make of her… The man thought to himself, his heart rate slowly calming as he saw her examining him back, his face going slightly red from the examination. Yup. Totally unharmed. NOT LIKE YOU BEAT YOUR LEGS INTO A STONE FLOOR OR SOMETHING AT TOP SPEED! That voice in his mind laughed him, making Kuro laugh aloud, the emotion of joy returning to him for a fleeting moment, although his laugh was… strained, as if it had not been used in a long time.
The smile on her expression began to calm him down, and along with it the hidden undercurrent of bloodlust which he had been maintaining would vanish. That was the truth of the matter. Despite everything else, the aura of an assassin laid deep within his subconscious. He did not know exactly what it meant himself, but it was possible that one of the others here could feel it, like a snake laying in wait. With her laughter, however, that emotion began to slowly disperse, his body relaxing as he listened to what she had to say. "Oh, so they're like Piero and Kuro no Inu." He told her in reply, pointing out his peculiar black arm at Chrrybdis and his right sheathe at Chrrybdis. "...I told you, I kill hollows." He explained to her, his eyes widening as he saw the trail of blood he had left behind upon coming here, his head tilting slightly downwards as that sight was processed by his gaze.
...Kuro Kodachi… Nito Ryu… The thought left his mind as his right arm gripped onto his hilt, his gaze turning upwards as his expression changed, an intensity entering into his gaze as he launched forwards with a Shunpo, three splatters of blood flying outwards onto the white snow, Kuro's body reappearing on the edge of the building as the three hollow that had leapt outwards at River and her eternal partners fell down onto the ground, the blood pouring from their decapitated heads. "...Urufu no tsume!" Kuro gently breathed out, as he held the blades at his sides, looking upwards at the advancing hollows, before his face turned back to the woman. "… can you fight?" He asked her simply, that curious look having returned to his eyes as his intensity vanished… if only for the brief time before the next wave reached the top...
Is this where I will fall...?

River’s gilded eyes wouldn’t stray from the man as he explained hollows too her, she’d tilt her head at this. “They aren’t humans, and if I find them attacking, I will kill them.” she spoke calmly too him. “Those who strike the weak while it’s down, deserved too be stopped even before they raise their hand for the strike.” she would explain too him calmly. River had tried too play it peaceful in one life time, it was her shortest life time... the only thing creatures of power fear, is other creatures of power. She’d strive too become more powerful, too defend those who didn’t have the strength too do so. The demoness of Dysphoria would kill anyone who meant too stop her.
As he’d pull out his blade from it’s sheath, she’d grip her wand to her stomach watching him, with the eyes of a predator, prepared too jump back and retaliate if he chose too attack her. As he would place the blade back, she paused. So, A shinigami was used too purify hollows. “What happens too them after they are purified?” she’d ask raising an eyebrow. A snort from the sky, it was no doubt Chrrybdis. “Right, what happens too the dead after you kill them.” he laughed, and Scyllia would glance too her brother. He would finally answer, and she’d tilt her head. He killed hollows.. yet.. she did not see any up here. Blinking a bit, he’d disappear and she’d look around, as she would see blood splatter across the snow, her eyes would narrow too it.
It was almost like dark ink that had splashed over a writer’s fresh piece of paper. The familiar scent of blood would dance under her nostrils and she’d breath out of them, causing a small white mist too escape her lips and nose at the exhale. She’d look as the hollows would drop too the ground, and the siblings would grin too the man’s next statement. This was the side of River they yearned for. “I would love too assist you, Okami-san.” she would state calmly, as she allowed her arms too fall too her sides. So, she hadn’t seen the hollows, because they had been following her new acquittance. Her eyes would shine almost malevolently, as the calm and passive aura around River came quiet, well for lack of better words frightening.
It was as if, these mountains had been the valley of the death. She would walk past the corpses of the hollow, walking towards them as the mist in the area became thicker; it’d be practically impossible too see her through the mist. Only the outline of herself. “Don’t attack my friends please, Okami-san...” she spoke calmly and as softly as she did when she first spoke too him, however, a demonic undertone danced in her words. “Anta Lana....” she would suddenly whisper out as the figure would raise it’s arm up. Her words had been different now, it had been as if a leader of an army, giving a demand.
Around the Shinigami, the mist would begin too swirl alive, as creatures would be formed from the mist. One stayed by his side, and it’s probably be the only way he could see the creature. It was large, towering over him, a winged soldier riding his winged stead. No skin would be underneath his white armor, just bright energy which would make the mist harder too see.
The mist would lighten up slightly, and he would be able too see that four of these creatures were in her mist, and River had not moved from her spot, three at her side and one at his own. There were two types too this creature. The warriors adorned in golden and white armor, and the warriors adorned in dark almost runic armor. Her golden eyes would be shining through the mist, as if a candle lost in the night.
She would grin, at the sight of her loyal warriors.
“They call theirself Vidvansakas...” she’d call through the mist, as two hollows would be seen moving too attack River from behind. She’d turn her grin never faltering, as the two dark Vidvansakas would unanimously skewer the creatures with their weapons, they wouldn’t even allow the blood splatter too hit their mistress.
As he’d pull out his blade from it’s sheath, she’d grip her wand to her stomach watching him, with the eyes of a predator, prepared too jump back and retaliate if he chose too attack her.

"Then what counts as 'weak'…?" Kuro wondered aloud, looking back to her as his sword's tips slowly leaned downwards, looking back at her as he stood over the corpses of the three hollows, looking back at them with a touch of sadness in his gaze. "They return to being pure 'souls' and return to the Rukongai, becoming 'weak'." He explained to her, his head tilted slightly to the side as his he glared sideways at Chrrybdis.
Seeing the mist that she produced, he looked at her answer with a troubled look in his eyes, slowly turning his body back around to face her. "… To assist me…? That's… strange." The male decided, his face slowly shifting back over the ledge as he contemplated her words. No, it had been far too long since Kuro had felt as if anyone had 'assisted' him. He had been driving people away, not letting anyone else get close. On the inside, he was still hurting.. Still hurt, and trying to protect himself through hiding his emotions.
Speaking of hidden emotions… What was… that…? Kuro wondered as he felt River's aura begin to fluctuate, very sensitive to such changes due to his Zanpakutō Spirit. "...And please… Kuro… is fine…" He answered her, not caring if it sounded overly personal. To himself, he was still a child at times. The idea of being a captain was strange, but it was what he needed to be right now… even if he was only in the area of the Thirteenth Division. "...Mist…!" He let out as his eyes widened, memories returning to him, before he realized what she had said earlier. ..Love…?
Then… to kick it all off… creatures began to appear around his body. Without thinking, his body swung around, his wrists turning as his Kodachi halted, exactly an inch away from the creature's form. …………………. What do I do? He wondered, looking at the creature as he slowly stepped back, panting lightly as beads of sweat went down his face, his heart rate having increased exponentially from the change in surroundings. Horror, the memory of horror, of helplessness… those emotions were flowing through Kuro's form now, and he was battling with them with all of his might.
His blades dropped with a great effort of will, before he swallowed, his eyes closing as he began to regulate his breathing, before looking back at the woman once again. "Danava are a type of demon." He concluded at last, remebering this piece of information as he straightened his spine, looking back at the creatures that were now beginning to surround the two of them. ...She is… going to assist me…? He wondered, his eyes turning suspiciously as he looked back at her, his heart rate still increased. At the moment, he did not trust her. She reminded him too much of that horror… and… the way she acted, the way she talked… they reminded him of someone else… someone else who had… who had…
Another corpse fell to the ground, a blade held high in the sky as the blood poured over the white cloak of its wielder. "..Adjuchas." He let out at last, his blades lowering to his side as a single being slowly stepped into the mist, its bronze plating forming a bug-like carapace around its body. In addition, great shadows began to emerge along the outside of the building… Menos… Grande…
Processing this fact, Kuro's right hand reached up to his face, sliding the fingers along the bridge of his nose as a set of sunglasses reformed, allowing for him to see clearly through the mist. In reality, he was now seeing 'shadows'. Each object which laid a 'shadow' upon the mist around it could now be seen clearly by the young man, his blades beginning to shift as dark energy flowed around his body. To say that it was dark was not to say that it was malicious. It was more like a 'void'… an absence of something else. That energy coated around his body, centering around the blades in his hands as they slowly shifted, the darkness entering into their steel as it too darkened, the curvature becoming more savage as they lengthened, becoming short swords with a few more inches added onto their length.
Rotating his wrists around, his blades moved almost hypnotically as his body dashed forwards with a Shunpo, large scraping noises being heard along the ground as he lowered the center of his gravity, stabbing his right hand forwards as he pierced through the Adjuchas' shell, backing out again as his body dropped, sliding back into the shadows…
His presence emerged behind River's again, though something was different than before. His spiritual pressure was now out in full. If she wasn't careful, she could be bowed slightly by it, but she would likely still be able to move. "… I will handle the smaller fry… and the Adjuchas… you focus on the Gran…" His words were cut off as his eyes looked through the fog, having seen the approaching shadow as he flung his cloak around his body, the white material being met with a powerful Cero as the energy was dispersed around his body, his teeth grit as he brought up his blade with his other hand, a wave of pure Shadow flying forwards as it broke through the attack, ripping forwards as it cut into the side of the beast's body.
"Yeah, those." He told her with his back to her, his eyes closing slightly… and awaiting whatever would attempt to attack her next. If one was brutal-minded… they would say he was using her as bait. If they were more optimistic… they would say he was protecting her. The truth of the matter was… not even Kuro knew...
No... Perhaps even I... Can walk...

River would have long turned in the direction the hungry solders seemed too swarm from. She wouldn’t budge, staring too the hoards of shadows underneath the great lumbering beast. So, these were hollows. She would tilt her head, watching as the cero ripped through the air, her mist giving it a beautiful pastel color as it hit him, her eyes would narrow as she watched him almost shrug it off. She would frown and point her wand too the Vidvansaka next too him, the dark warrior would suddenly charge it’s speed would match that of a vice captain and it’d charge into the swarm, it’s great pike impaling the smaller creatures with almost a frightening ease. She’d glance too one of the golden and white armored ones at her side, she’d send in the light with the darkness.
The Davana female than began too follow after the two soldiers she commanded into battle. River would have an almost too calm exterior, her carefree smile still on her face. “Oh..” she would stop in the middle of her step, turning too look too his form. She could ‘see’ perfectly fine in her mist, it was an adaptation she had. The woman almost forgot his words from before the attack, after all, she hadn’t gotten into a fight with a comrade for a long time. “Kuro-kun, the weak are those who use their strength the wrong way. Being weak minded, and being physically weak.. are two different concepts.” she would speak loud enough for him too hear over the cries, a cero would be sent at her, and the Vidvansaka next of her would lunge forward, allowing it too hit the soldier ontop of the winged horse.
The cero would burn through it’s arm, but it didn’t seem too be in pain... something odd would happen, Kuro wouldn’t be able too see it. The creature’s arm would dissolve into the mist, almost as if blood soiling the air. It’s blood, would feed into the mist... making the mist even thicker. She would smile too it, and pat the side of the dark energy horse. “I am sorry for the misunderstand.” she would continue too walk off into the area. Behind her he could see two more Vidvansaka being created from the mist, not quiet yet formed yet though. Just the swirling of the mist breathing life into the creatures.
She’d outstretch her great wings and smile, before running towards the fight. One of the Vidvansaka would lunge near her, landing on a Meno’s that had been creeping behind her. River’s dark energy soldier would stab the Menos, having a different weapon then the Vidvansaka that had been at Kuro’s side. Each Vidvansaka had been equipped with their own weapon, and River had summoned them as she saw fit, with each weapon she wanted. She would frown, as she felt most mist entering the air, even the menos would be having an issue finding their targets. So, one of the Vidvansaka she had sent in from earlier, had finally fell. If need be, she’d have too summon more of her soldiers too assist the two, she wouldn’t mind; but she wasn’t going too allow herself too us her stronger abilities.
Besides, she knew that the Vidvansaka had been itching for battle. What sort of commander would deny their soldiers the most animalistic pleasure of all; killing. For her soldiers, Killing was pleasurable even in death. She’d smile softly, as her foot would step on the head of a fallen menos, it’s legs had been cut off and it had been trying too itch its way towards her. A sparkle would glitter in her eyes as she’d put pressure on it’s head until she heard a sickening crack, running a chill down her spine and it’d widen her grin.
It’s been so long since she’s had this, much fun

Then I wonder… if that makes me weak…? Kuro's thoughts reflected upon her words. Another Cero was fired outwards, cascading towards her once again. This time, however, one of her servants intercepted the attack, preventing it from connecting with its mistress, making Kuro decide that perhaps these creatures were not like the ones he had faced before…
As for River herself… Kuro still did not know what to make of her. She called him as if she knew him, although Kuro supposed there wasn't that much to know about him. YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! His eternal mocking clown cried out, the black arm extending outwards as Reishi flowed into its length, slashing twelve different Hollow as it circled around the battlefield, before finally returning back to Kuro's body. "It's no problem… you can't really help how you are born, or what happens...can you?" Kuro asked her, assuming that she could see through the mist as he turned his face in her direction, tilting his head with a smile and a light chuckle. Even through he smiled, for anyone who knew his heart… there was obviously pain there, even still…
Sliding his blades around, the cold steel continued to slide through the Menos, Kuro's eyes remaining open and clear as he felt something strike out at his leg. "...Usst.." He let out a breath of shock through his teeth, his body spinning around as he kicked the hollow in the face, a mass of Shadow energy emerging as a blade as he released the attack from the edge of his foot, sending the unfortunate hollow flying away as Kuro preserved his momentum, throwing his body backwards as he released his blades, the swords sliding effortlessly back into their sheathe as Kuro's arms reached backwards, his spine bending as an energy blast passed over where his head had been. His feet left the ground, his knees bending as he shifted the center of his gravity up to his upper torso, his waiting hands pressing into the ground as he unbent his legs, throwing himself backwards as he began to quickly cartwheel backwards.
Spinning backwards, he eventually passed by River herself. His eyes for just a moment could see the shadow of her foot raising over the shadow of a corpse's head, distracted by it… as his injured foot would come into contact where her foot was, likely knocking her and Kuro over into a pile as his foot dragged her and himself. Now, if she had not tried to squish the hollow's head, this result was highly unlikely due to her ability to use her other foot to remain stable, but thanks to Kuro's foot coming into contact with the back of her leg, likely folding it inwards, it seemed more then likely that the two would end up in a pile.
"...Riv…" The word almost left his mouth, as Kuro shook his head, untangling himself from her as he gripped one of his blades from its sheathe, popping up the hilt as a ring of shadow energy appeared around the small part of the exposed blade, before that ring vanished, reappearing around their bodies as a small field of shadow encompassed them for a moment, giving Kuro and her a moment to recollect themselves. "...Sorry… I got injured… but… what were you doing to that hollow..? Is that… your weakness, Miss… Sage…?" He asked her, a troubled look having entered into his gaze as he slowly withdrew his blade, his eyes looking at hers with uncertainty for a moment.
Twirling the blade around, he impaled it into the ground, five waves of shadow pouring outwards as they joined with the shadow field, and on the outside several layers of spikes would emerge, piercing any hollow which had come to assault the field that Kuro had set up. "Because… that kind of thing… is what hollows do, isn't it…" His voice continued, before slowly standing up once again, his back to her as his troubled expression faced his barrier, reaching a hand outwards as he placed it against the shadows. ...I suppose… I am weak, aren't I…? I can't even bring myself to get angry at someone for… becoming sadistic… I just… feel sad… His eyes looked slowly downwards, taking the moment to recover himself, the blood dripping visibly from the wound on his leg now, staining the dark blood stains with a much brighter red one.
Light Requires Shadow... Right...?

As the sound of bone crushing against the force of her heel, she’d stare up slowly too the scene in front of her, the blood shed that was about too happen. Her eyes would narrow, and she’d raise her chin up, as she could feel her blood begin too pump. Staring too the shambling shadows, though the mist; she’d lick her lips. Ah, yes.. this would be a wonderful little work out, her ears would twitch. What was that sound? River would turn around suddenly- dark locks flowing too the movement, but it wasn’t quick enough. River would see that Kuro-kun had been tumbling her way, and before she could move- he’d hit her. Strike! Letting out a startled cry as she felt pain emit from her leg, and coil up her spine. The Davana would tumble too the ground with an “Oof.” Her wings curling around her bodice, too cushion most of the impact. She could see her Vidvansaka trying too get too her, before a Menos could take the opportunity too attack the two. She wasn’t sure what had caused Kuro too tumble this way, but she was not angered at the Shinigami.
She would have landed on her stomach, from the projection of the fall. She’d lay against the cold snow for a moment, her golden orbs staring too it. It had been so, innocent and untouched.. and yet here she was, fighting on it... spilling blood. She’d move too push herself up,the minute his body was off of hers. Wincing as she’d spread out her wings, the two would open with one loud sound, twitching slightly as she’d stand up, dusting herself off. Snow had been coated in her wings, and outfit, and a confused look would be on her face as she turned too him. Switting a pile of snow off of her wings. The Vidvansaka the two left would barrel through the swarm of Menos, one of her warriors of energy would be destroyed in the process. The mist growing thicker and thicker at each Vidvansaka’s death. As the Vidvansaka stood impatiently, and warily outside of the barrier Kuro had put up. The hooves of the beast stomping at it’s impatience, the occasional grunt.
River would stare too him, as he explained too her, how he had been injured prior. Her eyes would look over his legs, trying too figure out how bad he actually harmed himself. Perhaps it was the fall, she never had a fear of falling... she didn’t need too have one.Her nose would twitch as the scent of blood would spread through the air, it wasn’t that of a hollow’s scent, and wasn’t hers. Staring him over in the same uncomfortable manner as before, and she’d bend over suddenly, grabbing the ends of her dress and suddenly tearing a long peice off of it, and holding it out too him. “Please, wrap yourself up.” If it would become more of an issue for him, she’d have too awaken her Aligana path, so she could heal him properly.
“I....I am still a demon... i can only fight my nature too an extent...” There wasn’t a sadness too her tone, no. It was just as if she was stating a fact like: ‘The sky is blue’. She’d glimpse over towards the direction of the corpse she had just stomped on. If Kuro hadn’t noticed, or said something about it... River wouldn’t have been feeling this sickening feeling in her stomach. She had never felt it before, but that was because when she allowed her inner monsters out... she was always alone. She knew only so much about her race, but she knew one thing for sure about it. They were probably just as worse as these Menos.. if they would allow their selves too be. The feeling that had been growing at the pit of her stomach, it had been the first time in many life times she felt.. guilty. She was certain Kuro wanted peace, the way he spoke of purifying hollows and not killing.
Did he see her as a monster..?
“No, Kuro-kun...” she would pause her tone soft again, it’d almost be hard too hear. “I’d like too think.. that we all have a choice, perhaps that choice is harder for creatures such as Menos... and...myself. “ With her wand still in her hand, it was almost as if she kept an iron grip on the wand that was as light as a feather, pardon the pun. She’d turn too look too the hordes that seemed too try too surround them, only too be destroyed by his ability. Glancing over too him, and then too her impatient Vidvansaka, she’d hold her hand up too it, and it’s stop the moment it would see that. The warrior would give an aggravated huff, before running back into the battle, their side had been dwindling down, between her warriors and his abilities.. but from what she could see there had still be many left.
With a sigh, her hand would drop too her side, it seemed the Vidvansaka she had began too summon would finally be birthed, they were one of each, however they bored the same weapon. Sword and shield, the two would race pass their barrier, and it almost reminded her of another life time. When there were horse mounted knights, defending their castle and land. She gave a soft sigh too the nostalgia before taking her attention too Kuro. “Kuro-kun, you don’t have too worry about me. My Vidvansaka will do everything in their will too defend me, and defend you if they see you need it.” which she doubted, do the fact the Vidvansaka just stayed too her side. This man had too be stronger then her in some ways, or all ways, she wasn’t too sure. She was just happy he hadn’t attacked her on sight.

The lack of any kind of anger from the woman surprised Kuro, in a way. He was used to people getting angry at him whenever he had an accident, so the aura of rage was something that he was quite used to and was perfectly expecting to come forth from this particular interaction. Looking back, he had seen her looking down at the ground, noticing her wings for the first time as his eyes slowly widened. Like a… bird. He concluded, not thinking of an angel, but a bird. Such was the mind of Kuro.
Seeing her wince, he felt a strange twinge inside of himself. That was his fault. Her status that had been so preciously guarded by those beings she had summoned had still been damaged, pain inflicted upon it… and by Kuro, no less. It seemed that the smell of the blood of a Shinigami did not cause any peculiar change in her mannerisms or appearance, as Kuro's eyes lighted onto the cloth that she had given him. Blinking, he slowly wrapped it around his wrist, looking at her curiously with his eyes as he blinked. "Ok." He told her simply in response, showing for the first time the true trouble that lay within Kuro.
He did not understand that she meant for him to wrap it around his leg. After all, that was a wound he had sustained in battle; the hollows did not have anything protecting them. But… didn't… the past… I had… wraps.. On… His expression slowly darkened again as he looked down at what she had given him, before softly shaking his head from side to side, smiling as he looked up at her. "Thank you for giving me this. It's warm." He told her with a smile, though there was a pain behind his eyes that had nothing to do with the blood coating along the snowy ground. If she did not interact further with him about this, it would remain on his arm, clean as the snow before Kuro's blades had been unsheathed.
After a time, the words that she spoke finished getting milled in his head, before at last he sighed and looked up at the woman. "I know what you mean. If you want to destroy them with all that ferocity.. Then who am I to stop you..? Just… don't le tit consume you, alright?" He requested of her, looking to the side for a moment as he looked back into her eyes, but what she would find there wasn't fear. It was concern, concern for the white birdwoman who could only state that she was a demon as if it were a matter of course, of fact. That her nature itself was destruction… it made him feel sad for her, his ears slowly perking up as shadows coated around them, forming an outline like black dog's ears as his hearing ability improved, slowly leaning in to listen to what she had to say as he dropped down to one knee.
"...I know that choice is more difficult when Piero screams for me to murder things inside of my mind, that is for sure…" He told her gently in reply, seeing the tense muscles in her arm, noticing it because of his attention deficient disorder, reaching his right arm out as he dropped his blade into its sheathe once again, the cloaked tips running along the snow as he gently reached out with his arm. Placing his fingers softly around her bare shoulder, gently tracing the hand down until it met with the fabric of her bodice, his shades parting to the sides of his head as his eyes looked directly into hers, not letting her look over at the Vidvansaka, until her arm fell back to her side, even as he saw the two new warriors be generated.
"You are more than the sum of your parts." He told her with certainty, the hand that he had wrapped her cloth around slowly removing itself from her as he turned his head once more, his hands pulling at his weapons as he slowly withdrew them both. The barrier began to lower around their bodies, Kuro standing before her as the cold passed by him once again, blowing across the surface of his body. ...Reach deep inside… He thought, as finally he brought the two blades together in front of himself, his eyes beginning to glow as the shades shattered, falling away from his face, revealing the eyes beneath as the tips of his swords slowly drew away, creating a net of shadow as Kuro finally moved his arms, twin bolts of shadow rising up both arms as they moved with inhuman speed, a wave of force like a cool wind passing behind him as a result.
From in front of his body, a 'howl' like noise was heard, Kuro's body standing stock still as two words left him. "Shadow's… Howl." The words left him as from the net of shadows he had created, a being slowly formed, constructed of shadows as sparks of darkness shot from its body. It dashed forwards without any hesitation at all, flashing forwards with speed that not even Kuro had been using thus far, its mouth wide as it tore into hollow after hollow, ripping through the mist with amazing speed as it rip and tore, finally leaping at the Menos Grande as with each leap, another head was dropped onto the battlefield below, copious amounts of blood staining the snow as Kuro's face turned back to her.
"...Could you possibly tone down this mist of yours…? There is… one more… and I'm afraid my shades take a while to regenerate…" He told her gently, smiling again. This time, though, his face seemed to have a peace it did not possess before. If she did as much, Kuro would lowly whistle, as standing not ten feet from his body was the Adjuchas, covered in black claw marks, its own arms wrapped around the shadow beast's throat, squeezing as it crushed the beast's throat. Its hands slowly extracted from Kuro's creation as it fell to the ground, and with a final howl was dispersed, its body vanishing to nothing...
Now... Rise once again...!
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
