The Knight Of Forging
JULIUS SMITH
|Author:Nightcore|Song: Dam Dadi|Word Count: 622|
Flicker. Then shine. After that flickers again. The boy, white fox, was playing chase with moon. He was a clever, old man which knew how to fool the small Arrancar in any time of the day. Chase was his favorite game to play with the kid and while Julius was completely sure that the his partner was somehow cheating he didn't mind if it was fun. And it was fun! The eternal running, never ending game which he had no chances on winning. It filled the child with feeling of eternity, hope that he will always have such friends as moon, wind and sand. Another graceful leap, almost landing on a unlucky Arrancar head. With excited giggle Smith passed further as his prey was moving further away. Did he knew the light which was avoiding the boy came from his own metal collar around his neck? Who knows, though it would be no wonder if he didn't. This knowledge wasn't needed to play the Moon-Tag.
It had been already been multiple days, multiple sand storms, multiple hunts from the moment when Julius sought out "The Blades", Espada and joined their ranks as a servant to the...God-Knows-What! Saying the truth he had almost no understanding about what he had gotten himself into. The boy was still "On his way to meet his new boss", but something more interesting directed the child's attention away from the original goal ending in if anyone asked what he was doing then he was still replying "Going to meet Sempai (^ᴥ^)". And it was true! It was his goal, but as suspected from a free spirit like Julius he liked to have many different events before reaching his goal. What was the point in just mindlessly going from one point to another, anyway?
After falling on two Arrancar heads, bumping in four Hollows and accidentally tripping one demon Julius was finally bored of chasing the constant moonlight. It was alright for him to end the game so suddenly cause it wasn't actual end, the boy was just taking a brake for round two thousand three hundred five. Looking around the blank, white and completely boring walls with the view of the endless desert he closed his eyes, put his palms over the small ears in his messy hair and focused everything on smell around. Like a explosion the smell map of the whole Las Rejillas was drawn in the males head. Blood, rust and sweat indicated Sandstorm Fortress, the place where The Moon Man had lead him. Similar scent came from Bloodstorm Fortress, though it carried also the spine shivering sense of killing intent, death and suffering, something from which Julius had those warm fuzzy feeling inside his stomach. Moving on next followed something that seemed even a bit too overwhelming for the small thing, strong scent of chemicals, pollution and drugs. Metalstorm Fortress wasn't anything the boy enjoyed or liked. Shadowstorm Fortress on the other hand held almost no odor at all. It was like everything that had any smell avoided the place and was almost as empty, as Las Viviente in the middle of the fortress.
But through all this what Julius was the most interested was in odors of people of the place. Like individual blood bodies each person went through the places collective environment changing it's signature just by a bit. Sweet, salty, warm, cold, so much different smells he could pick up coming out of people. Like a predator Smith was going from smell to smell till something picked up his attention. There was everything so much, but in the same time nothing was interesting or in his reach. With a spoiled childs whine he yelled in full voice,
"I'M BORED!!! SOMEONE, PLAY WITH ME!!! (ノ╥ᴥ╥)ノ"
