Yuel lied on the bank of the body of water whilst taking recognition of James's approach. With little stamina to begin with, by the time she escaped the waters her physical limits were being reached--at the very least, her mental stamina was still running fairly strong. That being said, the girl still had room to think of her end-game plan, thus beginning to worry when the atmosphere shifted and a lack of wind became omnipresent. For a second there, she thought the air in the surroundings was void, but sounds and breath was evidently still there.
On another note, why did James hold his blade up at the ready? A young girl sprawled across the floor in a lack of energy typically wouldn't be seen as anything too foreboding. Was he simply being cautious for any subsequent actions she might take? Well, to be fair, it was a reasonable preparation; in comparison to Yuel, James could be considered a combat veteran, so the expectation of constantly keeping up a guard and state of awareness seemed most appropriate, no matter the opponent. In fact, it might even be instinctive for him? Such a trait could be seen as a necessity in the inexperienced girl's eyes.
With ominous black tendrils radiating from his back and a change in keratin in his hair, the locks seemingly floated in defiance to gravity. And there, he spoke words Yuel had insufficient energy to retort. This time, he sounded very purposefully condescending and arrogant. At most, Yuel could just think something along the lines of you'll forget your arrogance in a minute.. The water running down her face offered visual disorientation, so she could at most only see large and general movements; in regards to his eyes, at most they only offered further confirmation that her opponent was being more serious this time around. Waaah, that's alarming--was he not being serious until now? No, that's probably normal actually.
Well, now that the conditions for winning were properly set, winning the bet seemed to be a far easier goal than initially viewed. Yuel actually considered the possibility that rendering James impossible, and winning in every right and sense, was the actual stakes presented. Oh? As it turns out, James even gave Yuel another boon--the first boon of her protection and a sword to combat with was more than enough. But, it's not like she had any room--or energy--to complain. All she could do was gladly accepted the new sword. While the boomerang shape was actually advantageous to her initial plans, it was neither detrimental to be without.
Well, having two swords as opposed to one might actually be better. No, intuitively she felt that two swords would be far more comfortable than one. Yuel inwardly chuckled as she pondered the possibilities of sword play running in her blood. But the time spent to laugh was only temporary; after all, she had an opponent to utterly shock, not at all considering the possibilities of him sustaining any permanent damage from the plans already 4/5ths completed.
After a bit of rest, waiting for James to approach in optimal position, Yuel stood and turned her waist, stretching a bit for the next Act in the show. Grasping the handle of the two swords, the girl charged forward, the body of water still between them. Of course, it was fairly small, enough for her to be completely submerged, but the distance from the two sides was enough for her to nearly leap across. Emphasis on nearly.
With as much strength she could muster, Yuel jumped forward directly towards Yuel, and upon descent, likely the most unexpected thing she would do today was executed. She made sure to launch with a spin in mid-air to add centrifugal force behind her strike to increase offensive power. Just before reaching the other side--though the current trajectory of her fall would easily land her in the water, with just the tip of her blade slashing at the man--Yuel released her grip on one sword at an inopportune moment to directly strike, being so close, and being so unnecessary given the clause and circumstances, the chances of this sword actually failing to reach its destination in regards to probability, was 1/100,000,000. With the next set of words she spewed from her mouth, that ratio turned from one to a theoretical infinity, like the difference between one-third and one in decimal format.
"RANSORA KUCHI NO HONŌ!!"
Yuel fell into the water as an utterly massive amount of spiritual power was being released on the outskirts of the water. The origin of that spiritual power just so happened to be the eventual destination of her sword. Striking directly into the center of the spiritual power, an utterly massive force pulled towards the seal. It was assumed that James would practically absolutely be caught off guard, and as a result, it was expected that his initial defence towards the natural effects of wind pressure would sweep him in the seals direction. Especially since, this was not the direct effects of any spiritual or magical abilities, but purely natural physics at work.
Quite a long while ago, Yuel set up a series of Renkinjutsu seals near the water to test out whether or not her seals would affect the gem. Of course, since she activated the seals almost immediately after drawing them, the power wasn't enough to make any reaction. Of course, it wasn't like these seals weren't reusable. As long as they had the source of activation and collateral energy, the actual connecting make-up of the seal's physical form, and the activation phrase, it should work just fine.
As a result, with such a massive wait between the last activation and currently, insane amounts of spiritual energy were already collected, allowing for an incredibly potent effect. Of course, using most of these spells were extremely dangerous to the squishy mortal body of Yuel Duulheim, especially any interruption to the seal's effects. Fortunately, while Ransora was certainly not the most docile in terms of reacting to interference, it was manageable in accordance with the circumstances. The effect only dissipated the air, but not in a manner of pushing it out, thus not actually pushing James out of the sphere of influence for the second and automated reaction. Through spiritual energy, the air was simply shifted out of the 50 metre radius, for the most part ignoring physics as many spiritual and magical techniques do.
Instead, the interruption of the seal was what adhered to natural physics, thus not having magical or spiritual augmentation, surpassing the barrier set up--though, she was unaware of it. Even if she wasn't aware, her actions would have been the same as it was made without accounting for magical defenses to begin with. In terms of escaping? Unlikely, for three reasons. The first, the absolutely insane amounts of pressure as a result of wind coming in from all directions to instantly fill up a 50-metre vacuum; the result would be an utterly decimating implosion that could easily condense latent gaseous carbon into diamonds, or more conventionally, a body into an ant.
The second reason falls into a matter of suspecting the actual effects. The actual effects of Yuel's alchemy was to create a vacuum instantly; breaking down the alchemy's effect causes the vacuum to naturally collapse the surroundings onto it--the quick and rapid exchange between two entirely different effects occurring near simultaneously would be difficult for anyone to predict. The third reason was simply going against the pressure. Movement through actual space would be insanely difficult when meeting the diamond-forming pressure, and with the unpredictability mainly accounting for any instinctive teleports out of the way, simply escaping its sway would be a miraculous feat.
But, the vacuum was not the main offensive power in Yuel's actions. The vacuum's collapse would typically begin sucking in large amounts of water, but the second seal was activated right after. Kuchi no Honō was a fire-based alchemical spell, but there was no air to ignite an actual fire or spread the kinetic energy that caused "heat". That energy still had to go somewhere though. So, with no matter present to inhibit its spread, just as quickly as the vacuum was induced, the energy spread out with ultimate speed. The vacuum's collapse brought air back into the area, presumably along with James, and at contact, the energy finally ignites the air. The oncoming air still applies an insane pressure and velocity, so the ignition of air stays stagnant, while a heat capable of instantly turning rocks into lava and iron into liquid is spreading inwardly to the origin of the fire.
The pressure and looping effect propagates the heat to a point that the ignited air is actually converted into supercondensed plasma. Of course, the pressure must end at some point, yes? Or not? The effects of the heat still reached outwards to some point, and before the heat actually fully spread out to instantly boil the water entirely, the air stopped and circulated the heat. At most, the surface of the water was boiled. But, even that much was accounted for, and necessary for the next set of effects. While being submerged in water protected Yuel from the existing vacuum, being actually below the room's relative "ground level" also allowed her to avoid the effects of the heat. But, since the heat was directly spiritually induced, without Yuel's consideration and preliminary knowledge the heat would be ineffective against James's shield.
Now for the part of self-sustenance. The introduction of steam into the pool of elements didn't just bring the vaporised h2O itself, but hydromagnetics. Despite existing in plasma, since the actual existence of the plasma's origin was for the most part artificial, magnetohydrodynamics could not be taken into account; at least, until the water's MHD brought the hydromagnetic field into the elemental mess, like the activation energy to a change of matter's states.
Combining the ungodly pressure and heat with a hydromagnetic field, with the pressure simply increasing the heat, the effects of a mini-star was simulated. As a result of the core heat from Kuchi no Honō, with the introduction of magnetohydrodynamics, waves that carry heat--Alfven waves--would further circulate the heat inward and out, inherently creating a simulated corona still increasing in heat. As a result, the mini-star then sustained itself. Truly, any bit of matter inside would generally be incinerated instantly. The existence of a hydromagnetic field successfully warded off the simulated-star's heat, given that those Alfven waves were actually the only thing sustaining the heat, thus rendering all that kinetic energy useless in the face of a larger, and more "organic" opposing field. Of course, the main focus here was, "organic", in terms of defensive potential. But even if James understood astrophysics to such an extent, and could understand the weakness of the star and how to instantly disable it, the time between all these effects were minuscule, and if he was caught in the initial implosion, than without a doubt he would already have suffered massive damage.
But even the simulated star wasn't the finale. Having never actually entered a fully combative state, Yuel's knowledge in offensive context has never seen its true potential, until now. At this point, labeling her a genius was fairly rewarded, having taken into account so many variables so adeptly, to the point of three finishing moves overlapping for the ultimate offensive application of physics.
The final move was in fact a simulated blackhole. The introduction of a vacuum inherently caused negative energy, but was quickly confronted with not only positive energy as a result of air imploding in the vacuum, but heat as well. The result? Hawking radiation. Just the initial touch of heat was enough to complete the Hawking radiation, and as if she was reworking physics backwards, Yuel's pool of opposing forces--with a vacuum, positive energy, and negative energy, magnetohydrodynamics, hawking radiation and heat circulation--eventually induced a simulated black hole.
With the black hole actively working, the majority of the negative energy present that enabled the existence of a vacuum pulled in all the surroundings further. Unfortunately, the existence of a simulated-star couldn't be disregarded. The two being artificial--to some extent--and improperly formed--essentially put them on equal standings. The result was all of these effects being entirely insulated, locking off the 50-metres as if it were a different dimension. That being said, Yuel was safe to exit, and after having estimated and subsequently timing the reactions of all these effects, she did just that.
Yuel emerged from the water for a second time, rightfully expecting for James to be enveloped by the utter chaos. Thinking about it, Yuel was unprepared to face the prospect of having killed someone. Mentally, she immediately prepared for the hopeful result of James somehow surviving, and by convincing herself, she took to preparing for the next move to execute, fully expecting--but more so wishing--that he was to escape, at the very least alive.
