Summoning a Vasto Lorde [Private/Shadin]
Sat Oct 10, 2015 3:32 am
Now would be the most "appropriate" time for Yuel to release a score of ominous laughter, and she probably would.. if not for the fact that her mind was occupied with utmost focus on the item in hand, and her mouth was occupied with the task of speech... towards herself.
"Mhh... wouldn't it be nice if this could make up for the near-death experience suffered to get these materials? No, I suppose actually solving Renkinjutsu was sufficient? I'll ask myself this question again when I actually die... fuuuu, I should get some sleep. But sleep is for the weak!"
Fatigue was building pretty well in Yuel, evident from the unusually cynical humour spat from her very usual sessions of solitary conversation. Not even considering the price of items that helped keep one awake--not to mention the usually adverse side-effects depending on the strength of the item--as usual, the first-year high school student relied on determination and enthusiasm instead. And, for the most part it worked?
"*Yaaaaaawn*... Mm... Sleep is for the weak..."
With droopy eyes and sluggish movements, Yuel took the now completed item in hand and placed it on the ground. Aside from a flat surface on the bottom and messily thrown about nano-bolts linearly placed and inevitably revealing slight crevices all around, this prototype looked like nothing more than a small sphere that could fit in the palm of a small girl's hand--around the size of a tennis ball.
With mismatched metals plated around of all different colours and constitutions in steam-punk esque appearance, the crevices began to glow as Yuel pressed the button on a held remote. The light quickly rose and illuminated the entire room, enough for one to see through their hands and eyelids. Of course, Yuel's quick reaction to take cover out of a lack of confidence in her own success confirmed this.
"OOhhhh?!?! Is it supposed to do thaaat?!?!?"
Rather than a lack of confidence, the matter seems to be a bit more serious.
And, with an abrupt loss of light, the surroundings entirely changed.
Yuel opened her eyes after assuming the "coast was clear". And to her gleeful surprise, wherever she was at, it looked to be anything but her room. In fact, the surroundings held nothing but sand. Endless dunes of sand for quite likely miles. It was hard to tell through Yuel's eyes, given the ungodly amount of hours reaching eight consecutive days spent awake. Quite frankly, her ability to resist sleep reached supernatural levels--for the most part being the only supernatural thing about her.
"YES! HAHAHAH, IT WORKED!! MUAHAHAHAHA, MUAAHAHAHA---ah. This is Hueco Mundo."
After the sudden realisation, the only thing to delay her leave was a slight fumble with the remote out of sheer anxiety. Of course, Yuel inevitably recovered and pressed the button again. Unfortunately, those seven or so seconds of delay was more than enough for a bit of undesirable interference. Just as before, a light bright enough to pass through skin with ease--thankfully too weak to actually cause any currently detectable physical harm--erupted before losing vibrance, and the surroundings once again changed to the familiar walls of her room.
"Something's off... I just can't put my fing---IIIIIIIIIIIIIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
With the highest speed she could muster Yuel ran out of her room. Well, she tried. Fear and urgency can't so easily rid oneself of fatigue collected over the span of 190 hours. With a thud Yuel lost conscience as the looming presence of a Vasto Lorde slowly approached her. As for how Yuel knew the danger present with the being, how it came to be here, or why she wasn't affected by the spiritual pressure emitted from the beast? One problem at a time.
As the well-informed being she is, discerning the location "ported" to being Hueco Mundo simply from the endless dunes that probably only existed in the Wastelands on Earth otherwise--which meant isolated-dimensional space-bending, that being a function Yuel wasn't aware of being possible with how she built the device--and the humanoid figure with no discernible fragmentation in its mask; frankly, it wasn't hard to tell what a Vasto Lorde looked like so long as you knew a thing or two about soul migration and evolution.
As for how it got inside Yuel's room? The device used to arrive in Hueco Mundo in the first place--with the intended location of "porting" being Soul Society--was essentially a teleportation device, using the principles of quantum physics in practice. Bending "space" to draw in two points in two different dimensions, have the two points simultaneously exist in the same "location" between the metaphorical--to Yuel's knowledge--space between dimension, the device manipulates the probability of what the resulting metaphysical location measured is; rather, "where" the resulting metaphysical location is.
The current prototype was evidently unable to guarantee 100% manipulated probability of the measured outcome, thus resulting in the wrong dimension. Regardless, the result was Yuel essentially "porting" to Hueco Mundo, and upon returning the Vasto Lorde was dragged in. Now, technically Karakura has a system that can respond to and possibly deny teleportation directly into its vicinity. Of course, there are vulnerabilities--or allowances--via certain types of transportation that transcends typical travel in space, thus giving way to the notion of being unprotected from unknown methods of 'teleportation', one of those being Quantum-Induced Localised Spatial Singularities.
Thus, the Vasto Lorde appearing without warning in the middle of Earth's arguably most advanced--and thereby protected--cities was unpreventable. At least, it's initial arrival. Naturally, the unrecognised and easily potentially dangerous emissions of hollow spiritual energy at vast amounts would be caught by the defence systems, and a response was quickly garnered.
As for how Yuel suffered no mental or physical repercussions from the spiritual pressure of the Vasto Lorde? For whatever reason, the gourd on her desk frequently worn on the hip in instances of her chunnibyou self surfacing, as well as the "faux" tiger skin neatly folded in her closet faintly glowed white. The faux tiger skin alone was extremely lightly tinged in a demonic presence, unnoticeable to anyone not explicitly searching for a demonic presence.

[PLAY POSTING MUSIC BY THE LOVE OF GOD FOR THIS POST]
Artist: YERZMYEY - Song: HAUNTED MANSION - Word Count: 1222
This was the city that never sleep and action was unavoidable. Therefore, even a simple leisurely night stroll had the potential to turn into something crazed. So, as The Beast of Karakura walked down the empty city street, there was a sixth sense of sort that a force in the air just wasn't -- right. With the tapping of a cane hitting against the pavement, this sound soon came to a halt as he detected a disturbance nearby.
Something, or someone, was messing with the laws of quantum mechanics. How could he deduce this much? For one: the power of The Yuudeshi Network was not something to underestimate. Therefore, the network did yield the capacity to still scan the area where the disturbance occur and pick-up the anomaly. Yet, more importantly, the innate ability of Shadin's infamous "Imaginary Computation" power did indeed allow him a sense of awareness when it came to the laws of Quantum Physics being tampered with.
"What idiotic incident is going to happen now?"
Those were the only gruff words which muttered out of the pale male's mouth once he put two and two together within a matter of milliseconds. It was clear enough to him that if someone of untrained, uneducated and unsecured status were dappling in the arts of quantum power -- nothing was going to be ok tonight. Therefore, he was very much un-surprised and almost stoic when the sudden eruption of a Vasto Lorde level presence dipped into the city.
"...of course."
The voice was pained, annoyed and almost treating this as if it were a daily occurrence. But, after having lived four hundred years in combat, how could something of this magnitude not be? From his initial readings, there wasn't any case for concern. As, even at max output, this creature couldn't top his spiritual energy output. But, even so, there was always that chance that something could go astray. Overconfidence was the enemy and Shadin needed to strike his foes down with equal force. Not with over zealous striking power, nor underwhelming energy; just the right amount needed to slaughter and butcher them without exhausting himself.
Therefore, before he even so much as took a step towards the direction of the disturbance, a plan was already placed into motion. Break through the door, charge the opponent with his blinding speed, activate Imaginary Computation and then destabilize the structure of his atomic being and dissolve every bit of his essence. In that way, he'd then activate his shinigami powers and grant the poor bastard of souls his penance and release into the soul cycle to start life anew. All the while, those of The Yuudeshi Network would be made aware to stay clear of this one block radius and keep the general public away. And, at the same time, he'd ensure that the civilization passed out inside would be protected by his spiritual energy.
Top estimated time for this incident to be resolved? One to two minutes. He wasn't known as one of the the fastest and strongest within Karakura Central for sheer title sake. Against a foe like this, it was all cut dry, copy and paste and simplistic in mind. All he need to do was put his mind into the zone, body at peak reflexes and spirit ready to unleash fire.
Thus, with two taps of his cane, and the pressing of a metallic-like button on his electrode collar, the silver haired male was gone. All that was seen in the night were a pair of glowing red eyes as the sounds of a machine "whirring" signified the activation of his powers. First obstacle? Clear the door. One pull and the door gave way without much fight. Next? Reach the scene of the incident. So, he maneuvered through the junk of this house. It was but a breeze compared to the hell of weaving in and out of energy blast powerful enough to vaporize entire cities when reflected against his previous battles.
"Sorry big guy, but your time is up."
Those were all the words of warning The Yuudeshi would give before his slender figure emerged in a flare of blue and white light. Powered up and ready to kill, The Yuudeshi sought to place his palm on the belly of this Vasto Lorde. If this action was indeed allowed to occur, then the particles of energy associated with inducing the effects of Imaginary Computation would seek to weaken and then deconstruct the atomic matter of the Vasto. In a matter of seconds, he'd then be broken down, obliterated and turned into nothing but ash in the wind. Ultimately leading to his essence being restored back to the soul cycle and transferring all the spirits which compromised its being back to their original order.
With a soft breath of air, The Beast of Karakura would then turn his blood gaze back towards the unconscious body of Yuel and sigh. Through a gaze of the feminine figure's body, it was apparent enough that this was at least some sort of highschooler. And, after a second of database searching through his infamous network, that hunch proved true enough.
" Yuel Duulheim. Age: 14.
Status: First year Karakura High transfer student."
That's all that he really needed to know in order to deduce what happened. This kid must've gotten in way over her head and tried tinkering with science a bit above her pay grade.
Tch -- what a pain in the ass this was turning out to become now.
However, in spite of his internal protest, The Beast of Karakura would do what he can in order to restore her conscious and ensure all was right with her body. After all, his good nature wouldn't allow this runt to die off in some shitty room like this. Therefore, The Yuudeshi would kneel down on one knee, place a palm over her forehead and begin transferring bits of his energy into the student. In this way, this would jump start her body with new energy and fill every course of her being with a sense of vigor and OOMPH. By the time Yuel would awaken again, it would be comparable to receiving a full night's sleep and, undoubtedly, feeling the best she had ever felt at this point in her short life.
At least -- that was the desired result. Who knows. Maybe his energy was incompatible with hers, maybe she was already far gone or perhaps some other freak accident could occur. But, the probability of that occurring was little to none according to his estimates. So, this action was cleared and safe in his mind. Hopefully, in the next few seconds, these analysis would be complete and he could have his answer soon enough.
"Oi. Kid. Wake up. What happened here?"
Like a father waking his child open, Shadin would nudge Yuel and gently slap her across the cheek in order to pull the student out of her slumber. In that moment, a passing thought crossed over The Yuudeshi's mind before this helpful scene could end:
'Christ, I always do have a soft spot for these brats. Fuck me.'
