Preperations Empty Preperations

Mon Aug 24, 2015 9:04 am
The chaos that ensued the short-lived meeting between a nameless spawn of the dead and the ruling blades of their homeland had come to a close. Rose and the unstable Nize were left to their own design, a later appointment between the former of the pair and the wandering parasite set for later this evening. A day had gone by since the events of that encounter, and with a few hours left before its rank was depicted in a new life of the Espada; the nameless entity required a subject to demonstrate its unique talents to the crimson commander. To best apply both of their most applicable attributes together, giving her ample information to work with was important. The creature didn't stray far from the capital where the bulk of the governing forces resided. Perhaps here it could find a patrol of those too inferior for a greater purpose and pick one of them to be a test dummy.

Yes, that will do nicely. The Hollow remained in the same husk of a body as in recent days. They nearly blended in with the night, dark blue flesh matching the eternal darkness of Hueco Mundo. Contrary to that pigmentation were glaring mutations fitting of an Adjuhas that cast them apart from the landscape. They stood at a towering six feet and three inches, body adorned in thick muscle and deceptively mellow gold eyes staring out of their mask. Their steps were slow, eyes watching through the seemingly endless void of distance between itself and other life. It could feel them, that was certain. They were nothing but the weakest of pawns, subjects never to be missed in their coming oblivion, Minutes passed, the faded images of six Arrancar patrolling the wastelands. The spearhead of the unit would serve best for the demonstration, since they were the only one of any decent power at all, but still not enough to warrant any greater interaction than a forced puppet.

Time continued, the trio finally taking notice to the random Hollow approaching them. As usual its power was concealed, matching only the appearance of any other Adjuhas casually roaming for prey or survival. There were hushed talks a midst the group, chuckles following unheard words of malevolence. Despite their inferiority, the scouts didn't take the debut of new faces very seriously. Their banter consisted of who could take it out of commission the quickest for sport, even wagers of petty currency being tossed around in their verbal exchange. All the Hollow did was continue forward, paying no mind to their discussion of arrogance. Eventually one of the soldiers stepped forward, their hand clasping the guard of their zanpakto and drawing it from its sheath. They gave the weakest of their team the first shot, likely in hopes of extending their entertainment instead of having a short battle.

The parasite wasn't in the mood to toy with them for now. There were important things scheduled, and with the sudden outburst of energy about to occur, a short confrontation with someone of slightly higher relevance was sure to come. The soldier stepped forward, pressing off the sands of the desert and darting for the Hollow at a fair pace with blade rased. It was at this moment the guise loosened, a sample of the real strength the Hollow possessed coming to surface. A dark aura resonated from them, the eyes of the Arrancar on the offensive growing wide at the realization of their final blunder. The formerly relaxed eyes of the formerly nonthreatening Hollow were replaced by a familiar, malicious glare. They were not the eyes of a predator out for food, but a monster that sought only the death of what stood before it.

The Hollow stood in a posture fitting that of a Human with a shape close to one as well, bar the mutations of its stage in evolution. Its hand tightened into a fist and before the patrol could blink, it reduced their numbers. A punch darted through the attacking soldier, the Hollow's fist tearing through their flesh, muscle, and bones with ease. The hierro around them did little more than offer a fraction of a fraction of time more to live. Blood rushed up their throat, about to be expelled from the multiple organs that had been torn apart. Before even that could happen though, the Hollow's fist ascended; driving through their corpse and tearing the neck and head in half. Blood sprayed across the sand, soon dissipating along with the body, Their death had come swiftly, reishi rising from their demise and filling the energy-rich air around them.

It was no surprise what struck the minds of the remaining two. A blend of regret, fear, and anger simultaneously clouded their thoughts. No matter what choice they made, their end was inevitable. Were they dealing with someone else, running may have solved things for them, but they abandoned even that path. It surprised the fiend for a moment what they chose next. The commanding scout and their brethren charged forward just as their fallen ally, blades raised and energy gathering in their palms in a manner fitting of a cero. Crimson light filled the air and an all-out attack approached the stationary Hollow. Their efforts were pointless, unfortunately.

Waves of black reiatsu poured out from the Hollow's body. Their power increased with each passing moment, easily dwarfing even the commanding soldier's strength. Their attacks flourished together, twin beams of crimson light darting through the air and headed for the tall beast. In an equally unorthodox display of agility, the creature's body moved and bent at great speed, twisting in a manner that could cause an ordinary soul great pain from the motion The ceros narrowly missed, crossing each other behind the monstrosity of a Hollow and creating a small explosion in their wake. With the attack passed, the creature's body twisted back to a normal stature, seemingly unphased by the way it forcefully moved its bone structure to evade.

Another burst of speed followed, the gap between itself and the second follower reduced to a few feet. Its strength and agility were refined to a level well above an ordinary Adjuhas, fitting more appropriately along the lines of a Vasto Lordes. Ordinary soldiers stood little chance in contending with such a creation of power. It grabbed the Arrancar's arm, violently pulling the appendage wielding their sword from their body and tearing it completely off! In the same motion, the parasite used its own power to fuel the cutting edge of the blade. It swung the arm at its owner, the blade they once carried cleaving through their body and rendering them in two from the shoulder, down to their waist.

At the same time as this attack, the only one of any real power darted for the Hollow's back, swinging their own blade with greater skill, speed, and strength than the two before him combined. Going alongside the prior slash, the beast rotated completely around and struck the chipped and breaking blade against the commander's zanpakto. They weren't completely decimated, but the power behind the counter still pushed them back. Before the Arrancar could even get back to their feet, they were met with the sight of their end. Of course the parasite didn't want them dead, being crippled and put out of commission would take a little more than a simple strike. Not one to waste time, it took things to the next step.

The Hollow's large hand opened up, releasing the torn limb and replacing it with rapidly forming wisps of crimson energy, The power of the beast concentrated at a rate even faster than the cero the Arrancar attempted to use before, and it carried vastly greater power. A sphere formed in its palm, and the commanding Arrancar visage was filled with crimson. The blast struck them to the ground and erupted. An enormous blast of red matching the shape of a bomb's explosion lit up the sky. It stayed in place for ten seconds, decimating the landscape where it occurred and creating a minor shock-wave that dispersed over the endless desert. If the devastation hadn't become apparent to some before, it would be now. The display was powerful. but lacking in the level the majority of the Espada and recognizable officials operated at. To them, it was nothing to worry. Perhaps some of the lesser crowd would be lured in from the chaos. If so, they'd hopefully be worth more than the victims of the day's onslaught.

The explosion ebbed, as did the dark power resonating from the Hollow. The smoke cleared and a battered, bleeding, and unconscious arrancar remained on the desert floor. Their garbs were tattered and stained with blood. Multiple burns and opening in their flesh covered them and spilled out copious amounts of blood to the sand beneath them. It would surely prove fatal if left indefinitely, but they would be healed by the time their business is done. The nameless parasite took a moment to collect themselves. Now they had their subject and had completed a decent warm up for the demonstrations later that evening. Perhaps it over did it though.. The sound of the explosion continued to echo outward for a few miles; nearly reaching the fortress of the Espada themselves. All-in-all,, it did feel good to let its power go for a few moments, even if that strength had dwindled from the greatness it once had during the reign of it former empire.

Miraya had been wondering around Hueco Mundo. She was on her own which she knew held some risks out here but she did it anyway. She didn't mind being alone. She usually preferred it that way. She wasn't like most other arrancar that existed. Most of them when they removed their mask gained back some level of who they had been. They gained something from the experience. She hadn't gain anything when it had happened for her, except for becoming stronger then she had been before. She still felt nothing and cared for none of the other arrancar. She hated being stuck with weak arrancar that would have held her back and being stuck with a strong arrancar was simply dangerous. So she simply preferred to come out here on her own despite that she had been warned not to.

When she was out here it usually was to do patrols but this time some other arrancar had that duty. She wasn't out here for any particular reason. She had come out here in order think about things. She wasn't the type of person that usually thought over things very much but this was an exception. Things weren't the way that she had pictured them for herself. One she had started her existance as an Arrancar she had always pictured herself getting stronger. Strong enough to take on any challenge and defeat any opponent that would come her way. And she had always pictured herself doing those things alone. She would rely only on her own strength. She would allow herself to become dependent on others to help her through. She wouldn't allow herself to get into a position where another could determine the path of her life. She had pictured everything that way but she had begun to rethink her stand on that.

It had really started to happened during the last war. It was the second one that she had been in. She hadn't been completely invested in either war that she had been in. The first one she had been in the battle of karakura in which she had basically just wanted to be able feast upon the souls of the strong once they battle was over. She had been a hollow back then and that had been all she had cared about. The next war was in Australia. She had been the strongest in the city she controlled. Then one by one they had shown up. She had fought her hardest against them but she had been outnumbered and very slowly forced back. Eventually she had been forced to retreat from that fight. That had been only the beginning.

She had gone through several encounters since that time. She knew that her mission was the same as ever. She was going to get stronger then she had ever been. Strong enough to challenge the best. But several times she had fought for that exact thing and failed. She had tried to reach up and claim more power and had been knocked down. She knew that she had lost and she accepted that. What confused here was the fact that she still remained. She had always held a certain perspective. There was the strong and the weak. The strong consumed or destroyed the weak while the weak fought desperately to survive. She had been the weak one several times and yet she hadn't been destroyed. They had actually offered to help her in her desire for power. That was something she didn't think she would ever understand. Maybe once she held the power she desired she would learn why they did that.

Her mind wondered about these things and she wondered in Hueco Mundo. Perhaps she did not need to fear all that were stronger then her. Perhaps she could seek out the strong sometimes to make herself stronger. It certainly held some possibility. It would accelerate her growth far past what she could accomplish on her own. That was why when she felt the strange explosion she didn't run like some might have. She stopped her wondering in the world and headed toward it. She had felt a vast power behind it for just a moment. The amount of power needed to create an explosion like certainly seemed interesting at the very least. And yet it seemed like it was hiding since she couldn't feel it around anymore. She stopped when she reached what appeared to be an edge of the explosion radius.

The explosion certainly seemed like it was large and powerful that much was sure. She wondered briefly why anyone would create such a thing in the first place. She thought about what could possibly have been out there. She thought about the patrol that had been sent out and quickly searched for them. She couldn't sense them anywhere though she could have missed them due to their low power. Still she didn't think that was the case. She had a sneaking suspicion that they had been at the center. Not the creators of it just the victims. She slowly moved forward. If they had been attacked it could be that the person that created it was an enemy of arrancar. Or the patrol had been arrogant and angered whoever made it. She wasn't sure why they had done it but she needed to be careful. It wouldn't due to survive so much simply to die out here.

Preperations Empty Re: Preperations

Sun Aug 30, 2015 9:47 am
Steam rolled off the edges of the fading crater left in the wake of devastation. The ever present dry winds of Hueco Mundo poured tons of sand back into the gap the cero had created. The remains of the lesser soldiers of Shadowfall were cast to oblivion, nothing remaining of the fodder that once roamed that space. All that remained aside the predator was the dying commander, skin scorched black and the eyes boiled from their head. Bits of flesh were melted off showing seldom seen bone that didn't cover their face.  Of course that wouldn't be the case for long. The venture had greater purpose than simple decimation. It was a means to acquire a useless puppet and turn it into something more applicable to the fiend's purposes. The torn off arm in the Hollow's hand began to break, turning to ash and falling from its grasp. The blade cracked in two; dissipating in to reishi that flowed through the air. The chaos had been rendered mute, the echo diminishing and leaving only the gentle sound of the breeze.

That was, until the next step took place.  The Hollow extended its hand toward the shamble of an Arrancar. Malefic black reishi poured out from the appendage, spilling to the ground and around the unconscious body. From the darkness, a monster far unlike any Hollow began to manifest. It appeared like a serpent twisted and mutated to fit the look of an Eldritch abomination. It appeared only for a moment, darting for the body with it's maw stretched open. The beast ripped through the soldier's flesh, digging through their ribs and organs until it reached the very soul of the fallen subject. An enormous amount of nefarious energy poured into the body, corrupting it, strengthening it, and working to rip away at the Arrancar's perception of their own existence. The last of the tendrils entered their wounds, storing an important sample of the monstrosity's essence in the husk for later application. The darkness faded, as did any trace of the quick execution following it.

Just as unorthodox as the masked Hollow itself, the near-dead Arrancar began to rapidly regenerate at an unrealistic rate. Their consciousness remained suppressed, but the lost tissue began to repair itself. Even the loss of their eyes was quickly remedied, new orbs growing in their place with a new crimson  iris. The bones moved back in place, the gaping hole in their chest closing shut and internal repairs continuing as time passed.  While their body was reconstructed, the fraction of the parasite inside them deconstructed their mentality, absorbing everything the soul once was from the inside out and making it their own. As this went down under the shade of flesh, the original Hollow took notice to a dim, but close presence in the area. It was surprising for one to get here so soon, but even more-so was the apparent fact that it wasn't anyone of substantial power or rank. Unless something was being suppressed, it appeared as only another Arrancar free of the title sword closing in. Given the destructive display but a moment ago, it was odd for anyone not in the upper realms of force to approach it so soon.

It will take time for the essence of the fallen commander to fully be drained from the husk. Igt was an unfortunate side-effect of forcefully capturing  ones soul that the benefits of the union didn't immediately take effect. That information, coupled with the meeting not taking place for a multiple of hours from now left the option; do away with another roaming soul or inquire the potential of putting a new piece on the board. At the very least it deserved an inspection. Even the now deceased fodder had been given a few seconds, nearly even a minute before their foolishness resulted in their end. Leaving the body of the former commander on the ground, the tall Hollow slowly turned to the direction he sensed his kin. This foresight roved true with the faded image of the distant soul slowly drawing closer to the center of the dying crater. In a moment's notice, the normal-looking bi-pedal Hollow vanished from the center in a flicker of speed. In a style not unlike sonido, the masked entity appeared a dozen feet before the Arrancar. Its yellow eyes looked over them analytically, but not yet maliciously.

It spoke first not a moment later, its tone mellow and relaxed. She didn't appear to be any kind of threat to it, and many weren't. Still, underestimating someone was something that could easily lead to ones demise. The stolen suffering of false past lives could tell that tale a thousand times. " I wasn't expecting the attention of another so soon. Most tread away from the site of devastation, less they openly seek such a source. For reason have you come to the wake of destruction?

A simple question phrased oddly enough. It would save a roper introduction for after understanding the new arrivals purpose. If they come to challenge it, such things would simply be a waste of time. If not, then it remained uncertain how their interacting would progress. Either way, the parasite had no desire to stay here for much longer. While the meeting wasn't for some time, more fodder or something more relevant could always show up with aggressive intent after the demise of their comrades. It had no desire to waste the effort and energy on more of them with the important events only a few hours away.

Preperations Empty Re: Preperations

She had moved in slowly so as to try and avoid to much risk. She had gotten herself in trouble by trying to go all out to early. She kept her eyes open sweeping the area to make sure that there weren't others nearby. It was always possible that the explosion had been caused by a joint attack meeting in the middle. Or that one person made it but had others as backup. Some people would be drained making it and would be helpless. The possibilities were many and so far she had little clues as to what had happened there. It wouldn't do to have made it this far in her existence to end up dead or worse, eaten, now. That was one fate that she simply could not permit herself to fall to. She would never want to be forced to exist as part of some other hollow.

She was still a fair length from the center of where the explosion had happened when she saw something at it. She couldn't tell who or what it was but it narrowed down the possibilities of what had happened. That being probably created the explosion which made it less likely there were others. Still it was always possible it had friends hiding just in case it needed to get away fast. A being that held the power she had briefly sensed was sure to have somebody that listened to it. She wondered just how much power and influence this creature had. For all she knew this was a bored espada that had decided to blow off some steam which could either end badly for her or really well. There were still to many possibilities. She tensed her legs ready to move if the need arose.

Her eyes were still darting back and forth watching for anyone on the outside but her focus was on whatever was in the center. She saw it moving and prepared herself for whatever it might do. If it was the one that had done all this he could decided to attack her from that range. She hadn't expected it to vanish from the center to show up right in front of her. Her legs having been tensed and ready for action reacted to his sudden appearance as she jumped back several feet putting more distance between them. Her feet pivoted as she landed her knees bent and legs ready to spring. She was ready to leap out of there with her sonido if she needed to. The thing didn't attack her right away and she didn't try to attack it. She was trying to figure out what it wanted and based on its question it was thinking the same thing. Both of them were being weary of the other. It a different world it might have actually been funny.

She looked the hollow over both physically and sensing its energy. She needed to know if it was to blame for all of this or some other entity. She didn't think it was powerful enough but she had felt that power for only a short time. It was possible that it could hide its true strength. She didn't know if it was truly possible with it being only a hollow but stranger things had happened. She thought about its question to her. She wondered how she should respond. "Most would run away from it." she said finally the words coming to her. "Most would be to terrified to think about doing anything else. They fear any power greater then their own." She understood fear. She used it against other many times yet it was something she never truly felt it. "Those fools fear strength. Because of this they shall never wield it."

She had come to realize this fact lately. She could never gain the strength she desired if she sought those weaker then herself. It would be dangerous to reach for up for it but it was the only way she would ever truly grow. "I will find the power that created this." she said gesturing around her. "I will learn its secrets and grow stronger. I will grow stronger until none stand above me." she would say the last sentence almost more to herself. She wondered how this creature would take her statements. If it had created this then it could attack her to prevent her rise. It could decided to help her out, a strong friend is a powerful thing after all. It was possible that this hollow could only point her in the right direction. She wasn't sure but her feet were still planted firm ready to move no matter what. She was willing to stick around to see how it played out but she wasn't stupid enough to relax just yet.

Preperations Empty Re: Preperations

Sun Sep 06, 2015 6:04 pm
The Hollow only chuckled at the sudden reaction from the Arrancar in their presence. They were already on the defensive, escaping close range in a lunge of speed and keeping a more fair gap between them. It made sense, especially when his own character was an unknown. The chance of a sudden attack always remained a possibility as well, a thought in both of their minds. It stood there, looking over the arrivals form and feeling her out. It seemed it had a habbit for meeting with the less emotionally fueled souls in this desert. In only a few days it had come across two of a kind now, but even the mask of emptiness kept some form of feeling under it. It was all a matter of breaking the mask and forcing that to surface. Whether such was needed for their sudden meeting remained to be answered.

As the woman spoke her answer, the puppet took a step forward, well aware that she could run off at any moment. Whether she did or not would clarify a few things about her and depict if they were worth any time at all. Each step had a pause before the next, a walk so slow that it may have taken some time to actually close the gap between them again. The purpose of it wasn't so much to get close, but to keep up the offensive approach in their conversation and almost a dominant mindset over the new arrival. Upon further explanation, all the creature could do was lightly laugh to itself once more. Was it not obvious? In the wake of oblivion, only it remained. Not a single energy source filled the evening crater and the remainder of it all was only a broken and unconscious body some distance away. Of course it did quickly seal away that destructive power, only holding the appearance of a simple Hollow with no great power on the outside.

"It is only natural to fear something stronger than you are. " It began, sharing a view less common amoung the more destructive forces in the universe. It carried a mixed psychology of the very victims it had consumed over the years, offering a mixed and diverse mind set able to view things from every possible perspective. Fear was something both healthy and not. Letting it get to you could surely spell death, but knowing the feeling itself helped one know to avoid things that could bring their fate to oblivion. It is why those that could conquer fear, but still respected it and worked alongside it and their other natural feelings tended to prosper above most that ignored it or were consumed by it.

"Knowing fear means you need to do something to overcome it so that it no longer bothers you. It, like many other things can be an incentive to gain strength, or a detriment. Anything like that just depends on how you interpret and respond to it." The Hollow increased its pace only slightly, continuing the sluggish walk forward while staring directly into the Arrancar;s eyes. Its own iris matched that of any other hollow; a golden yellow hue and a black center. All beings searched for power for one reason or another. The thought that occured in the fiends mind pretained to what purpose this soldier desired it. It scanned their very existence for any signs of twitching, internal or external reactions to the words it projected to identifty points of interest in their mind.

"The source of it should be obvious, is it not? There are none other here. It hasn't been too long since the dawn of the event, and you arrived just as the dust settled...Of course my class does tend to trick others to doubting my ability." Most Hollows were hardly a threat on their own, save for the few Vasto Lordes that peppered the land. A lowly Adjuhas host was a perfect medium for having some form of potential strength, but also being looked over as a weakling that could pose no serious threat. For that reason, they made a fitting temporal host to infest for the time being. Even with a weaker coat of flesh, the destructive force locked inside it was far from the same mundane Hollow.

"A fair enough goal, I suppose. Risky, but every greater power has taken many risks to get where they are. Likewise, every strong soul has a reason for getting where they are. Power is simply a tool to fulfill another purpose. What reason do you desire strength?" The Hollow's steps came to a halt only a few feet away from the Arranca. Its head tilted to keep perfect eye-contact between them. There remained no sign of hostile intent, but to stare deeply into the eyes of the beast showed a malefic soul far darker than the average monster of Hueco Mundo. It stood there motionless, arms resting at its side as time passed. It waited for the girls response, planning its next move ahead of time while the body of another Arrancar in the background was rewired for its future task.

Preperations Empty Re: Preperations

Fri Sep 11, 2015 6:26 pm
She watched the hollow closely as it grew closer to her step by step. She had jumped back originally partially because it had appeared so suddenly before her. Watching it come closer like it was, maybe not aggressively but certainly trying to intimidate her. She stood watching and listening to it. She stood her ground. It was her little way of announcing that she wouldn't be pushed around simply because this guy had created a big explosion. He was taking credit for doing this and if it had wanted to destroy her it would have been a lot easier to simply act like it knew nothing and then used the same ability on her. It seemed to want to know about her. Curiosity always implied something more. For whatever reason it was looking for something in her before it decided to try destroying her or not. She wasn't sure what it wanted though.

She thought about its words as it approached her. Certainly fear was a natural thing that all creatures felt. It kept some alive when they would of perished otherwise. It had also killed those that could have lived if they had only fought against their fear. To much fear would bring about certain death while to little would drive one to bring about their own. It was a difficult balance that had to be maintained. Those with strength could use fear as a tool to maintain their power. Those that lacked it could use their fear to make themselves stronger to fight back. Fear ever has been and ever will be a double edged sword to all creatures that existed. None would be able to escape its blade.

He claimed to have done all of this destruction but looking at the hollow that was all it was to her. Perhaps it was an Adjuhas level menos but still a hollow. She knew of few hollows that were able to do something like this. Certainly back when she had been a simple hollow she hadn't held that much power. Still such was the way of the world she supposed. Strength and power were ever growing among the generations. Long ago few held power even close to this level and now it was far to common. The world grew ever stronger and those in it had to become strong as well in order to survive it. Ever since the dawn of time that had been the truth. However, somewhere along the line strength started to come in many forms. No longer was it simply brute strength that always won out the day. Those that were fast could overcome the strong. The smart could think their way out and win.

The hollow was getting rather close now and she had to determine if it was a danger yet. She had to act on the believe that this creature was in fact telling the truth though she had not definite proof of that. Simply claiming it had didn't make it so. The creature responsible could have left already for certainly creatures with that kind of intense speed existed and this creature was like here drawn in and now claimed responsibility for it. A way to try and preserve itself if she was stronger then it. It wouldn't have been the first time that a creature had claimed responsibility for another's work. Still while she had no evidence the creature had done it she had to believe that it had for she also lacked proof that it hadn't. The world was certainly a strange place these days and it wasn't easy to know how to handle it all the time.

She trusted her speed to be able to get her out if the hollow suddenly turned aggressive so she didn't mind it being that close. Her speed was one of the things she relied upon. It had gotten her out of many situations before. Especially if she was in her released state then few could catch her. She didn't move as it stood before her only a few feet away now but her body was still ready to spring into action and move in an instant if she needed to get out or, if the situation called for it, attack the hollow. She had her options open at the point which was always a good thing. Options allowed for some small amount of safety in almost any situation.

At the hollows last statement she would get a scowl on her face as the thought about it. The first sign of some kind of emotion she had shown in a long time. Certainly strength was simply a tool to be used for a certain goal. All creatures moved forward with that goal in mind. Yet when she thought of her own goal it always eluded her. She knew it existed. She knew that she wanted it more then anything. Yet she could never grasp it fully, only the base instinct that drove it. "What drives me to power? Why must I get stronger? Those are questions I cannot answer even to myself. I cannot explain what drives me. I cannot remember. Something..........In a past long gone. All I know is what I feel. Anger, pain, sorrow........I remember these feelings from long ago. In my mind they all scream one thing. Revenge. I don't remember who or why but that I do know. Somewhere out there is somebody I MUST destroy. For that reason I will get stronger. So that nothing can challenge me until the day I find and destroy them." Her voice would get strong as she spoke her conviction and the truth of her words in her voice. She would do whatever it took to make sure that she survived long enough to do this. She would have to discover a forgotten past to do so but she vowed to herself she would figure it out.

Preperations Empty Re: Preperations

He could feel it, see it, sense it. The young Arrancar was ready to leave at a moment's notice, the response of prey knowing they can't contend with their predator directly. Of course this one wasn't as easy to figure out as most, the signs were still there. The Hollow stood in place, listening to her words with interest. It never made a move to strike, but if it ever needed to, such would be swift as the soul likely expected. In tune with that remained the sense of doubt, skepticism of just how much power the Hollow had in their hands. While not the force of nature it desired to be, they certainly had much more potential strength locked away than most and could use it at a moment's notice. There wasn't any point in exercising that power at the moment though. It had no desire to draw the attention of more problematic pieces.

"Revenge?" he repeated. It was a simple thing many wanted, but her case was special. Through some means or another, her memory had been locked away like another soul he recently met. Perhaps the feeling remained from their life as a Human, but it was impossible to tell. The yellow eyes stared into the Arrancar's iris, looking into their very soul through the gateway of the eye. This one could be a useful pawn, if nothing more. With the potential rise as Monarch in the future, any soldiers were worth at least a chance. With such vague and unknown ambitions, she made a fine candidate for his gifts.

"A goal worth striving for, but searching for it without direction may leave you wandering aimlessly.
" With such ignorance on her own goals, finding the subjects of that urge could prove difficult. Ruvik had no idea what those feelings could refer to, but at the same time; finding out could be easy enough..When the time was right though. Simply giving away everything right off the bat would ruin the fun in the adventure. He took a step back, giving the woman more room to breath from his enclosing stance.

"I can offer you power, and a path if you desire it." His smile widened maliciously. The Hollow's large arm stretched outward, its hand opening for a simple handshake.Of course, unorthodox traits began to take place a moment later. Red electricity manifested on his hand, crackling loudly in the silence of the desert. the electricity gave off a feeling of pure evil, a wicked power more malicious than even the natural kind of Hollows and Demons. It was aggressive like a raging fire and moved in a graceful dance of destruction.

"All you'd need to do is devote your pathless venture to my cause, and claim the power scattered over the road before you." He paused, giving her some time to think and respond to his words. It all depended just how much she desired power and if her will could so easily shift to the will of another. Ruvik remained up front about his deals most of the time, bluntly making the offer to any that clearly sought out a path to power. His strength was giving those a shortcut to reaching their ambitions in exchange for increasing his influence over the world around him. If they weren't interested, then it would have killed some time until the meeting. It never hurt to ask though, and even a random ally with not much sway in the scheme of the world could be useful in future endeavors.

She wondered what the creatures reaction would be to her declaration. For all it knew either of them knew this creature was one of the ones she wanted to destroy. She had no way of truly knowing that fact at the moment. She believed that once she the person or people which ever it may be that she would remember something and know to attack. If that didn't work she figured that once the deed was done the deep set feeling of need to take that revenge would final go away letting her know that she had finally taken down the correct person. It was part of the reason she was as aggressive as she was. She hoped by fighting others and defeating them she would discover if they were the ones causing the desire for revenge.

She did have to admit that he had a point about wondering aimlessly. She didn't even know if it was a living soul, hollow, or dead soul that she wanted to kill. They could be strong or weak, though she highly doubted they could be very weak with how strong the feeling was. Only that she wanted to exterminate them. It was agonizing trying to search every last soul for those she sought after. She had existed for quite some time and would likely search for a great many more years before she finally found the answers she was looking for. Plus if she ever did manage to complete her own personal mission she had absolutely no idea what she could possibly do next. She had always figured that part she could figure out once she reached it.

She relaxed only a little as he backed off giving her some more space. She didn't know why he was doing so. It could have been that he needed some form a distance to be safe from a certain attack. Then he made his offer and stretched out his hand. The electricity gave her pause for a moment wondering if it was a trick to harm her. Her mind said it could be a trap but if he had wanted to hurt her he likely wouldn't have needed to use a trick to do it. Most would consider it shameful for an arrancar to accept help from a hollow but there was something special about this one. Besides she had never been one to shy away from something because of what others thought about it. She usually did her own thing and didn't give any fucks what others thought. This was a path to the power she wanted and that was all that mattered.

She did have to consider for a while though. She wasn't used to really following anybody. Even among the arrancar under the espada she had never really listened to them most of the time. She probably would have been killed long ago if not for the fact that most espada wouldn't bother wasting time on her yet. She was strong enough to be useful at times but not strong enough to be a threat yet. She knew that she would change that. Perhaps if they had paid more attention to her and helped her climb as she intended to this conversation would never have taken place. She wasn't sure if she could follow well but she could give it a try. Having a reason to go from place to place could be nice and help her with her search so she decided to go for it. She reached out with her arm taking his despite the red electricity almost wondering what it would do. "You have yourself a deal." she would say.

Artist:Skylar Cahn - Song: the Dark Fall - Word Count: 1256

The nameless Hollow waited patiently for Miraya's reply. It certainly was something worth spending quite a bit of time thinking over. A simple hand shake could shift the very nature of one's future, giving them a new life completely different from what they would have on their own.The things to consider was whether the influence of the fiendish creature would lead to a better standing in the universe than the alternative. While the Hollow had the utmost confidence in their own ability, presentation, and future, this new line of contracts were all unknowns in need of a push to a darker tomorrow. The pause eventually gave way to an answer, one that brought a sinister smile upon the creature's mask. While it had yet to properly join the falling shadows, things were already beginning to look up again since the fall of its lost empire.

It can't recall what made it leave it all behind. Under the eternal desert once resided an army of Hollows under the monster's palm. It ruled the strongest of the few organized battalions in the forest of menos, but out of sheer malevolence it cast them to the wind. Right as a war broke out between another faction of their kind taken to the light of unification, the corruption left its own force to fall in anguish. They had it all, and in the peak of their ascension were met with despair and oblivion for no reason other than the sick joys of a truly nefarious soul unlike any other. The Hollow's yellow eyes locked with the Arrancar's, looking deep into their very being. When her hand touched his, all had been set in motion. Another soul linked to the fate of chaos incarnate,

"Welcome to your new life." It retorted, the tone much less blunt and more warm than previous phrases. Crimsons sparks crackled around their hands, lighting trailing up from the hollow's skin to the flesh of the Arrancar. it didn't shock her, but began to flow across the appendage and toward her main body. The energy resonated with a feeling of pure evil and malice, a construct more twisted than even the power of most Demons. it was more than that of a Hollow, but an abomination far more lethal. As this vile power became clear, the restrictions on Ruvik's strength also faltered for the time. Immense spiritual pressure poured out from his body and scattered across the landscape! The sand beneath them was crushed down, sending them closer to the forest below and nearly breaking the floor that split them entirely.

The power of the Hollow was far more than a simple Adjuhas as they appeared. Aside from the unorthodox nature and feeling of the presence, the very density of the power it exuded matched, or even surpassed traditional Vasto Lordes. Heavy winds picked up around them, spinning sand like a tornado that shrouded them from view and blocked the sight of the outside world. The lightning reached Miraya's shoulder, digging into her flesh and fusing with her own spiritual network. The energy darted through her veins, piling together and flowing toward the center of her very being. Their target was the deepest core of the soul that started it all. The Human life that sparked the entity this Arrancar now was mixed together with the vile power. A fraction of it became infused and consumed by hatred and darkness. It wouldn't feel painful, but as if something that defined their very existence was being ripped away from them.

A pulsar of black energy moved across the desert floor. From Miraya's arm a white bolt of lightning would shoot toward the Adjuhas before her. At the opposite end of the spectrum, a black shot of energy spilled from the creature's body and entered Miraya's soul. These two sparks were unique from the others in more than just color. Where the crimson sparks signified the immense power at the parasite's disposal, the contrasting duality of in and yang represented fragments of their very souls! It absorbed part of her existence into its own form, while at the same time forcing a segment of its own manifestation into the emptiness. The feeling of the void was soon replaced by the fiend's soul fragment, the darkness the constructed it linking with the entirety of the woman's being.

The storm dulled, winds dying down and the immense spiritual pressure coming from Ruvik's body coming to a halt. As quickly as it began, the man's power vanishing, putting him in the guise of weakness. A few crimson sparks remained between them, slowing in pace from the heavy current that now resided in Miraya's body. Its hand fell back, breaking their handshake and ending the contract's construction. For a moment, things seemed to return to normal. Nothing had severely changed at all after such a flashy display! That was, until after the Hollow spoke once more.

"That will suffice for now. You'll take time to adapt to it."

Just as those words left the unknown fiend's mouth, the piece of its soul in Miraya's body began to pulsate! The most aggressive, hate-fueled and sinful aspects of her person were drastically amplified in a moment's passing. On top of that her power would be forced to the surface in its entirety for a few seconds at the least. Instead of just her normal spiritual resonance, a new darker aura flowed alongside her own. It glowed a compelling black and matched closely with the feeling of the Hollow's own corrupting nature. This duality of strength filled the Arrancar with wicked power far above her traditional limitations, showing just how extensive her power could now become through the will of chaos. The immense increase would take time to control, but so long as Ruvik allowed it, the woman would be able to access it on a whim and apply it to any task her own power could be used for. Of course the Hollow could have always done more, but too large of an increase without proper time could lead to very unhealthy results. It took a step back, allowing the soul to relish the new nature that resided in their being and the power it offered.

Preperations Empty Re: Preperations

She had some worry about the lightning that was in the creatures hand. She was sure that it had no reason to try and trick her for any reason so she figured it would be okay. She watched as it started to travel up her arm but caused no pain or damage to her. She felt the power that entered her body as the lighting traveled along it. It was incredible to feel such in increase in power so suddenly. She embraced it willingly. She was not oblivious to the terrible nature that resided within the power. The evil and malice within resonated with her own feelings amplifying them. She was more then willing to use that malice to her own benefit. She was not one to cower away from power simply because of the ill intent behind it. She was full of such things as it was so why worry about even more.

When the full extent of the creatures power was made evident before she marveled at the power she had only guessed at. She knew that the creature was hiding its full power but clearly it had been hiding most of it from her. She knew that if the creature had wanted to it likely could have destroyed her without so much as breaking a sweat. She had been foolish to come here. The risk had clearly paid off with her own power growing because of it but if she had done anything wrong then she could have just as easily been killed out here. That would have been a terrible way to go out having gone through so much just to be destroyed in a fight that she never stood a chance in. She supposed she must have a fair amount of luck in order to have gotten this far.

One thing that she hadn't expecting was the strange black and white lightning that was created between them. She felt a strange feeling as if a piece of her had been ripped out only to be filled again by something.......else. She could feel the difference between herself at the portion that was something else but the feeling started to lessened as it started to integrate itself into her being. She knew that this was part of the creatures contract between the two of them. She hadn't realized that it would entail something quite so binding. Still she had figured that there would have been some way for the creature to enact its power over her through this deal of theirs. She wondered just how much the creature was gaining as she herself grew stronger because of this. Someone as clearly powerful as he was didn't need her but he surely gained something by it beyond just having another underling. She would have to put some effort into figuring it out later.

When it broke off the contact she felt the piece within herself pulsate as it brought the power that she had been given to the surface. She wondered what exactly she could do. The first thing she could think of to see what she could do was to trying it out. She took a few steps away from him charging her arm with her reishi and as it started to glow its usual black she noticed small red sparks jumping from her arm similar to those that had connected them earlier. She knew it was a signal of the power she had. She launched her bala's at the edge of the crater the creature had created in the sand. The explosions were far more powerful then she expected. She wondered raising her left arm in a fist her blades landing over her hand as she charged her cero. She wasn't the best at controlling it but for a test she could do fine. She charged and released it and again she noticed the red sparks within her reishi and the dramatic size of the explosion. She knew she would need to learn how to control this power but she was happy at her own increase.

"Yes. This power is incredible. I cannot thank you enough." She thought about his words for a moment though at focused at his words, for now. He had more power tucked away. He could increase her strength even more then he already had. She would have to keep that in mind for the future as she would eventually be both ready for more power and capable of handling it. For now though she would need to learn to use this power. Even using the two attacks she had left her more drained then she was used to.
